As the user behind Rhaecia, I would like to inform that entries with no evidence of sporting merit (i.e. scorinated results) will not be accepted.

Thanks to a lot of big (Field) Hockey teams located in the capital, Schoenwetter got a lot more slots for the Kriegiersien Leagues final than the other regions.
So it was no suprise that behind the Presidents sponsored "pet team" as champion, many teams from Schoenwetter beat the sole contenders from the other regions.
But the sensation was the team from actually neighboring and now independent country Zombiestan, the Stick Zombies, ending on third place and now playing internationally for Kriegiersien.

Selection of articles from Hannasean sports media.
Greenfield crush opposition to sweep to three-peat

The Greenfield Monkeys won their third successive FHL title – and tenth all-time, eight of them within the last twelve seasons – on the back of a dominant playing campaign. League leaders after the first round, the Monkeys looked untroubled throughout the season, even when captain Bethany Cook went down with injury. Holly George led the team admirably in her absence, marshalling the midfield and overseeing by far the most effective penalty corner unit in the league. Traditionally a Hannasean strength, penalty corner scoring helped the Federation to their only Olympic gold medal when they won the women’s tournament at the 11th Summer Olympics, a feat they will be hoping to repeat after returning to the Olympic stage for the first time in 12 years this summer in Istria. On the basis of their campaign this season, several of Greenfield’s efficient unit can be expected to feature prominently in national selection.

‘Would not be fair’ to include men in FHL – Dawson

Jasmine Dawson, expected to be named captain of the women’s national field hockey team for the coming Summer Olympics, said it ‘would not be fair’ to allow men to play in the FHL. “The game is too fast-paced and dangerous for men, and we would not want to see them getting hurt,” she said. Some promising school and college male players have had try-outs for FHL sides, but none have ever signed a professional contract and field hockey remains a strictly amateur sport for men in the Federation. A team of Hannasean men are expected to accompany Dawson’s side to compete in the Olympics, but expectations are lower than for the much-fêted women’s team. “I am all for social progress,” explained Dawson, “But I don’t think any of us would enjoy this sport if we had to temper our game to fit around men.”

    All-FHL side named, Greenfield dominate

As expected, league champions Greenfield Monkeys factor heavily in the ‘team of the season’ named by hockey writers at the conclusion of this year’s FHL. Four Monkeys – stand-in captain Holly George, defender Jade Elliott, winger Emilia Tanner and forward Chloe Ross all made the team of the eleven best players. Penalty corner specialist and Sticky Stick winner Vanessa Aguirre was the only unanimous selection. Her Coral Coast Swans teammate Maya Cox also made the team. Addison Stewart of the Oak Park Broncos was listed as goalkeeper. Most of the rest of the team are expected to make the Olympic squad.

    Softball clubs on the decline?

Traditional Hannasean hockey and softball clubs struggled in both the FHL and FSL this season, leading to fears that the traditional clubs are failing to keep pace with specialist clubs concentrating on one sport. Hockey-softball clubs Greenville Arsenal, Silver Creek and Brethwick made up three of the bottom six spots in the FHL; only Deer River made the top half, but finished rank bottom of the FSL. Mia Harris, captain of Greenville Arsenal’s hockey side, admitted that the split priorities meant the clubs weren’t devoting as much money to hockey. “The top clubs are getting better facilities and spending more on recruitment and retention,” she said. “We can’t do that when we also have to worry about the softball side of things.” There are calls for the clubs to commit to single sports in future, but Harris said she hoped Arsenal would retain a softball side. “It’s a good tradition, and I like seeing the softball bat on my uniform. If we lost that, we’d be throwing away our heritage.”

Procedural Notes
  • With no evidence of sporting merit on its results, Lovisa entrants were not accepted.
  • Due to nation being CTE'd, Springmont entrants were not accepted.
  • Unfortunately, our trained monkeys haven't found the "AE" letter on their systems, so Graintfjall is temporarily assigned with the trigram GRA.

We had 24 signed-up teams from 7 nations. Based on previous results, national cöefficients and a generous RP bonus to guarantee that no nation would be totally unranked, these teams were divided in four pots:

Pot 1
Rozenvoorde (KOR)
HC Victorian (LIS)
Club d'Escrime de Soria (LIS)

HC Graafsepoort (RHE)
Hellenian HC (LIS)

Thank you, Dryicor. It won't be needed this time, but in possible further editions, it can be useful as a reference.

Now, without further ado:

Hallie HC (DAR)
HC Graafsepoort (RHE)
Hellenian HC (LIS)
Pot 2
Linville Leonessa HC (LIS)
Cleveland HC (DAR)
SS Aquila San Giovani (RHE)
Chuckio HC (DAR)
Kingston HC (DAR)
RRC Winterburg (RHE)
Pot 3
Laringen (KOR)
Hazel-Amber (KOR)
HC Winterburger '97 (RHE)
Greenfield Monkeys (HAN)
Coral Coast Swans (HAN)
Marble Hills Hornets (HAN)
Pot 4
Timesteam (KGS)
Schoenwetter Pirates (KGS)
Stick Zombies (KGS)
Putzendorf (GRA)
Lammedal (GRA)
Kochhavn (GRA)

Any chance of me being granted permission to host the final? ;)

  • The table rules are as intended as follows:
Three (3) points to the winner in normal time
One (1) point to the winner of a shootout following a draw plus one (1) bonus point, making a total of two (2) points.
One (1) point to the loser of the shootout, in the event of a draw.
No points to the loser of a match in normal time.

However, there is no functionality to add bonus points on xkoranate, so the 3-1-0 format was kept and an extra bonus point was be awarded manually for teams that won a match in the shootout. The matches decided by shootout appear in the table.

Fortis Insurance Company, as the organization of Fortis Invitational thanks the Baranil Hockey Association for its gentle offer of hosting the finals of the Cup, but likes to remind this is a privately-run championship, with no relationship to Field Hockey Champions League held by Baranil Hockey Association, that we expect soon to be returned, provided the return of Baranil to the thread. Fortis Arena, a hockey stadium in Winterburg, Rhaecia, will be the venue of the final four of the Fortis Invitational Cup.

HC Victorian from Lisander wins the Fortis Invitational Cup, being the second Lisanderian team to win an international club competition. For the sake of clarity, I'm uploading my XML file.

I thank everyone who signed up, and I apologise for any mistake or misjudgement I could have done. The future of Fortis Cup is still uncertain. I personally would like a Field Hockey World Cup to happen before another season, but if Baranil decided to return with the Field Hockey Champions League, I'm okay with not returning this tournament.

Given Baranil remains CTE, any thoughts on the future of the Champions League?
