The Empire of Newmanistan is honored to host World Bowl 35, the premier tournament for the sport that is referenced as multiple things, but most will call it gridiron or football. We thank the members of the World Bowl Committee that voted for our bid and hope to still have the confidence of those who did not.
There are 42 nations that have signed up for the tournament. Here is a list of those that will be participating!
Those 42 nations will be placed into seven groups of 6 when the group draw takes place at about 9pm Eastern Daylight Time on Friday, June 1st. The first game will be played on Sunday, June 3rd. Cutoffs will be between 9pm-10pm EDT daily.
What should you do now?
Create a roster! Football/Gridiron rosters tend be large, so there are a few options:
A) Go all out and give us incredible detail about almost everything. Like this
B) Provide the entire roster. Like this
C) Tell us the starters Like this
Naturally, the more detail provided, the higher the roster bonus will be.
When creating a roster, also create the RP Permissions box. This tells the other nation what you permit and don’t permit in regards to RP if they are the one to roleplay your game first.

Next, begin roleplaying at anytime. Take a look at the World Bowl 34 thread to get an idea of how to roleplay, if you want. There are many different ways to go about it, and all styles are appreciated. Roleplaying helps your chances of getting more favorable results, but there are three critical components to getting better results: rank, roleplay, and randomness.
Rank- Nations who have participated in prior World Bowls have built up a rank value for their national program.
Roleplay- By roleplaying, you increase your chances of winning, as each RP is evaluated and scored, with that score added to the rank value within xkoranate. However, in evaluating RP, quality is valued more then quantity. So, if you post five roleplays in one day that could have been put into one post, it is evaluated as one roleplay and not five. Quality does not mean “the longer the better”, either. Shorter RP’s can receive high scores as well, depending on the content. A good thing to do is to make use of your opponents roster when RP’ing, and put as much effort as to mentioning their players as you do your own. Naturally RP Permissions (covered above) is a big factor, but if you roleplay a game recap against an opponent that has a roster, and I keep reading “the quarterback/ the running back” for the opponent and never the provided names, that will be considered in the scoring evaluation. Simply interacting with fellow competitors is a great way to go.
Randomness: Scores are still generated in a random manner. Rank and roleplaying increases your chance of getting a better result, but it does not guarantee it. Every now and then, we all have a result or two that makes us grumble inside.
