Alternatively, don't worry about it at all! Designing and creating your own car and livery is, at least for me, a fulfilling process - but it might not be your cup of tea, which is fine too! It's certainly not a necessity; just writing an imaginative description will do much of the same, if you prefer that type of work/expression!

I’d work on the livery but I’m not really keen on the modeling

On this livery thing, I wanted to even design on the side, anybody have any good templates for an F1 Car?

To a side view, in my opinion, are those from International Motorsport Graphics and MyRacingCareer.

If you want to take this into a new level, you can experiment with sim racing modding. We had some nice 3D car images in the last WGPC, by Preston Autos. 3Ds are also common in NSSCRA, that is based in RL NASCAR, whose liveries are more simple to represent in a videogame.

If you are interested in going down the route I went, I had a 3D template for Photoshop. You might need a newer version of Photoshop and a pretty beefy PC for it. When I get back from running errands today, I'll find that 3D template I used.

Curiously, is it in a format that Gimp can read?

I don't know if Gimp has that same capability or if the file is compatible.

Personally I'm fine if someone else makes a livery for GPSC if they get accepted. Don't really have the computer for editing.

Nimbus's post here is interesting. You have the option of describing your livery in words and let your readers imagine it.

The RP topic is already up. Remember the 1250 word limit and good luck to MontagneF1.

For those that offers the WGP2 tryouts, my apologies for the delay, but I will try to post something within 5 hours.

Just know that Adriana would like to go for all of the tryouts. But yes, I will write something with more substance.

Are try-outs like mini-races?

Yes, teams decide if they want to hold try-outs to decide which driver they would like to sign. They hold mini races, in which the top guy (or girl) would gain a seat in the team.

Would they use a normal scorinator?

Is it allowed for a car to have enclosed wheels? I mean there were F-1 cars that did look like this, in 1950s, I believe, Mercedes did this.

Realistically, WGPC/WGP2 is designed to be an open-wheeled class of racing, but something like Nexus's design (see here) would be acceptable.

Since we're at it, let me share something that can be useful for those like me, aren't native speakers of the English language. I use Grammarly, a browser extension that corrects my mistakes. For translation, I prefer Deepl Translator, which focus more on expressions and linguistic specificities. Maybe combining the translator and the extension would give better results.

On that note, Reverso can also work. Now I just want to put a disclaimer that I am not paid by them to promote it right here, but for some phrases here and there, and when Google Translate is uncertain, Reverso can help because there are quite a handful of phrases and contexts that are available. Some might even suit the conversations - be it polite, formal, informal, or rude.

For best results, you can run it through a friend or someone willing to help proof-read it to be safe. ^^

And another question from me (sorry, but I never can be sure)
Is there a limit to a number of tests a team can do before the season? Can these tests be made on public roads?

No limit. Do whatever you want to do. Official WGP2 preseason testing begins next week (week of the 22nd), but teams do not officially have to be finalised until 1 April.
