Hapilopper wrote:So, I've had an idea in my head for a few weeks now, and I was wondering about y'all's thoughts about it.

I was wondering if there would be any objections to me running the HASCAR series (my domestic stock car series) alongside NSSCRA next season as a "super-domestic" league. My idea behind this is that I could use this series to complement NSSCRA. The field would primarily consist of Hapiloppian drivers, but could also include some of your drivers, if you want an opportunity to build them up ICly before an open charter appearance or before a rookie NSSCRA campaign.

Curious as to y'all's thoughts behind this, yea, nay or otherwise.

No reason you couldn't run it. I've considered doing something similar with IRACT, but the main reason I haven't done it is because RPing NSSCRA already takes a decent amount of time and I don't want to get burned out.

I think the language barrier and the logistics of getting to Hapilopper would discourage most Sherpalanders from driving in HASCAR unless they were actively recruited, but I do have characters you could borrow if you want to have a HASCAR team recruit them. Any HASCAR sponsors desperately want a team of yetis?

We are getting ready to fire up the engines soon for NSSCRA 10, as the signup thread will be opened over the weekend at some point. I would like to ask anyone and everyone for any kind of suggestions that you might have, either for the signup thread or for the season in general. These can be made either right there in the discussion thread, or by sending a TG to this nation, NSSCRA Administration.

One thing that I can say is that we will have a schedule of around 24 races.

If you're going to suggest a second tier series, please be willing to scorinate it. :p

NSSCRA 10 signups have been opened!

There is a lot to digest with that signup thread, including the second tier series. Please post any questions about signups here in this thread.

One thing that I will also be doing is that there will be two, and only two official RP cutoffs per week, and they are on the main series race days of (likely) Wednesday and Sunday. Second tier scorination days (Tues and Sat) will not be official RP cutoffs. It was brought to my attention that this is the WGPC approach, and I think it is the best thing for us as well.

Sherpa, I had to scale back to two cars and cut Xu. For RP fodder purposes let's say he took it well while in front of the team bosses, but it's up to you if he still secretly holds a grudge or doesn't really care.

That's OK. If you want to keep him in NNW in a different job, like have him teaching up and coming drivers in whacky English, you can. If nobody in NNW wants him even in a non-driving role, he can come back to Guilin and work for IRACT. He's more disappointed than angry.

I'll look at cutting down how many drivers I have for next season, but I want to have the three at Beiyang this season because of how I RPed them putting the team together. Long-term, if the field continues to be crowded, I might cut down the Beiyang team or have Yulha Sherpa College get out of NSSCRA.

Aww yeah, let's get to it!

I hope I can manage two puppets, out of all things, because once again, the end-of-year happens to be the busier part of my life with exams and studies (and potentially work coming down the line!)

A new and completely unknown driver, quietly sponsored and under the protection of Valentine Z, is also here - Holly Starlight! ^^ Jolyn is coming around as a driver as a support, also in making sure that the new driver is up to speed (hehe) with NSSCRA customs and rules.

-----

My puppet / the second nation does not need to sign up a race track, right? I will do one for Val Z later at night (like in 5-6 hr time), but for Garden at 6th Mile Road... I might need to think of something.

Any prospective new or existing teams who want a technical alliance (cars, technology) with Badai Angin or Dahon can TG me here or DM me on Discord. Solymok will not be involved in the main series but can supply tyres in the second tier series as the same tyre compound (Megfogo ST) as with the domestic FISCAR series will be used by DMR by Rusty Motorsport.

It's a shame that we won't be racing in Guilin this season. That race weekend has been able to generate a lot of hype ICly and good RP opportunities OOCly. I'd consider it one of the major races of the season, in fact.

Your replacement, the highway, is very intriguing though. How would officials redirect those who need to go through during the race weekend?

I don't see why not, I was discussing with another user how that could also be a good way for less active nations to establish a foothold in NSSCRA without being overwhelmed by the pace and only getting bad results considering Tier 2 also starts on equal footing

Can you please stop pretending like NSSCRA has a problem with ranks making it difficult to get into. There's no evidence that this is an actual issue.

You can see how RP and rank are balanced by looking at ROTY standings, and seeing where the top rookies fall in the overall standings. NSSCRA is already weighted toward RP, and the effect of rank is minimal.

Imagine being so upset about a rule change in a made up fantasy nation racing league that doesn't affect you one iota and only allows more users to have more fun participating than they would have if it didn't exist...

Sherpa, we all get that you hate tier 2 but if you plan to ignore it then please just ignore it and let those users who want to participate in it do so without judgment particularly on the quality or quantity of their potential rp contributions
