Goals! Lots of them! Not that it's a surprise, how on Earth did Tetherton actually manage to win the SNFA Cup last season? Doping probably. Qé qé qé QÉLÉ!

Snowspire Communal 5-1 Tetherton

Sorthern Football League Division One

Snowspire attracted a fair amount of ridicule when they adopted the Communal moniker last season. It showcases that the team is one for the whole Snowspire community the club climbed. It sounds stupid your average barstool pundit done the Dog & Duck, the Jolly Turk, or the Bostopian's Head or whatever you local is called claimed. Snowspire probably weren't complaining when their 'stupid' new name ended up being carved onto the Division One trophy. And they probably weren't this season either.

Of course, if they start playing badly -- and perhaps even if they don't -- some of their rivals' supporters are likely to start referring to them as 'Snowspire Urinal' instead...

Considering the Communal moniker was inspired by a piece of NSwiki spam that managed to mistranslate the United in Manchester United to Communal that might be appropriate.

Just posting to say that EL's league system will change again, just to let you know (and to annoy those bothering to follow the league). It will be a league system of 2 divisions of 40, and then the 48 remaining teams will be split into 2-4 leagues (haven't yet decided).

Following the end of the Platinum League season, some more players are on the market.

Pos. Player......................Age...........Club........................Price
LB: Seán Flawsley..............27.............MacMurragh Gaels.......£6m
CB: Joseph Olombo............24.............Zamba Torpedoes........£3.5m
LM: Jon Boyde..................22............Coleman United...........£4m
LW:Frederico Paolito..........17............Gratizoli...................£2.5m
F: Niall Hunt.....................29............Wexwick...................£3.5m
F: Mohammed El-Alakin........33............Athletic Stanza............£1.5m

Sean Flawsley: First-choice left back for the national side, 27 year old Seán Flawsley was the only outstanding player of MacMurragh Gaels season as the club was relegated to the B Division. Wanted by several clubs, Flawsley is one of the best defenders in the Platinum League.

Joseph Olombo: Reserve centre-back for the national team, Olombo has been capped 19 times, scoring 1 goal. His rock-solid defensive partnership with Eric Aldé saw Zamba Torpedoes keep the most clean sheets in the league.

Jon Boyde: Left-midfielder Jon Boyde has improved greatly since making his international debut two years ago. He's made 13 appearances for the side and has scored one goal. He has played for Coleman United all his life, even staying on for a season after the club was relegated. When they failed to be promoted, Boyde handed in a transfer request.

Frederico Paolito: Young, skilful and pacy, 17 year old Frederico Paolito was meant to be the long-term replacement for Giuseppe Joliano. Unfortunately for the club, Paolito's performances meant he was never going to stay for long at the club, and he seems to be on his way out. Athletic Stanza had a £2m bid rejected in April and he won't be sold for less than £2.5million.

Niall Hunt: Established international Niall Hunt was Wexwick's top scorer this season with 18 goals. Hunt has played and scored against the best sides in the world. His £3.5m price tag has caused protests by Wexwick fans astonished at how low the club were demanding.

Mohammed El-Alakin: Former UFA Player of the Year, Mohammed El-Alakin has been pushed to the sidelines since Corenhinho established himself as the best striker in the league. Sick of being a substitute, he's looking to join a lower team where a player of his quality is guaranteed a game.

I can't remember the exact details without trawling through the old posts, but one season our teams drew Dancougaran ones five times over the three competitions - including three out of four possible pairings in the SBCC.

95% of people on NationStates won’t read this, but as we speak, Libyan people are being massacred, because they’re rebelling against an unfair government. The elderly, women, children, everyone in Libya is in danger tonight. It’s genocide. Repost this in your sig to raise awareness and support the revolution!
