Rules

Chapter I: Teams and riders

1. Each team can have six riders: four of them are the 'basic squad', the other two are replacements. For each race, every team must stage four riders, no less, no more. If a nation doesn't specifically stage four riders, the four riders from the basic squad are selected.

2. These six riders have total skill values between 24 and 28, with a 26 average. The skill value is the sum of the rider value for: climb (1 till 9), hill (1 till 9), TT (1 till 9), sprint (1 till 9), dirt (1 till 9), attacks (0 till 5), flat (0 till 3), persistance (0 till 3) and helper (0 or 2 or 4 points, with the addition in what situation (who + on what terrain) he helps... A rider can only help in two situations and two teammates cannot help in the same situation).

3. The riders will follow regular racing conduct from the UCI. In case of dispute, the decision falls to Some Village in order to decide. He might bring in-character remarks upon RPed race conduct.

Chapter II: Classification

1. There is an end classification, with points for each race (stages equally, one-day races more but equally –except WC, a bit more- and GCs a bit more).

Single-day race: 75/65/58/51/44/39/34/30/26/23/20/17/15/13/11/10/9/8/7/6/5/4/3/2/1 for the first 25 riders
World Tour Championship: 100/80/70/63/56/50/44/39/34/30/27/24/21/19/17/15/14/13/12/11/10/9/8/7/6/5/4/3/2/1 to the first 30 riders
Stage of a stage race: 40/35/31/27/24/21/18/16/14/12/10/9/8/7/6/5/4/3/2/1 for the first 20 riders
GC of a stage race: 100/80/70/63/56/50/44/39/34/30/27/24/21/19/17/15/14/13/12/11/10/9/8/7/6/5/4/3/2/1 to the first 30 riders

2. There is also a youth classification: anyone can be considered a young rider, but he cannot have more than 26 skill value points.

Single-day race: 20/17/15/13/11/10/9/8/... for the first 15 riders
World Tour Championship and GC of a stage race: 25/22/19/16/13/11/9/8/7/... to the first 15 riders
Stage of a stage race: 15/13/11/9/7/5/4/3/2/1 for the first 10 riders

3. The points classifications for stage races will not count towards the WToC classification. Time trials are seen as a category B stage for the points classification whereas the others are seen as category A. The points will be distributed as follows:
Category A: Respectively 30/27/25/23/21/19/17/15/13/11/10/9/8/7/6/5/4/3/2/1 points are distributed to the first twenty finishers.
Category B: Respectively 20/17/15/13/11/10/9/8/7/6/5/4/3/2/1 points are distributed to the first fifteen finishers.
A rider can only be leader or, in case of the final stage, winner of the points classification competition if he has finished the stage in which the jersey was awarded.

4. If two or more riders have an equal amount of points, the tie will be broken by looking to their amount of victories. If these are tied, we'll compare the amount of second places, etc. etc. In case of a deadlock, the general classification position will determine which rider shall be placed first in a points classification. Gathered RPbonus in case of the other classifications.

Chapter III: Racing

1. All scorinations will by myself, using the scorinator used in the Island Tour (with the mentioned adaptions). The stage races have a stage like this Island Tour, one each day. An (averagely) 48h gap between different races would bring the total span of this first World Tour of Cycling to a month and a half.

2. RPs will be calculated by using a double addition. The RP during the last RPtime will count as half the bonus, your total gathered RPbonus as the other half.

Chapter IV: OOC

1. There is an OOC thread. Use it if necessary

Welcome for the very first World Tour of Cycling. This cycling event will gather races and racers of all types throughout the multiverse and see them facing eachother in a series of extraordinary challenges. For more info or any questions, I'm glad to redirect you to the OOC-thread. This thread will first be a sign-up thread and will turn into the everything-thread later on. This first season concept leaves room for fifteen teams, each containing six riders. Most races are created and submitted by nations as well... Maybe yours? Does your nation contain the next big star in the multiverse? Only one way to find out, as you can find the sign-up sheets here.

Before finishing this sheet, please check whether the following rules have been applied.
If such is not the case, you will receive a TG with the question to update your participation sheet.
Until it meets with the requirements, it will not be accepted as a team in the World Tour of Cycling.

* No rider has a total of values below 24.
* No rider has a total of values above 28.
* Your team contains six riders, no less, no more.
* The total of values for the six riders is no more than 156.
* The first four riders will be your “main team”. You can bring in the two replacements before every race.
* The riders named ‘young rider’ have a total of values of no more than 26.
* Within the help-value, "this rider helps" indicates the need for a name, while "on this terrain" asks for a surface. Ex. racer X (Stert Geegmans) helps racer Y (Cark Mavendish) in the sprints.


Secondly, we have the sign-up sheet for races. Note that the calendar contains the following events:

5 one-day races, one of each type. Brought in by the participating nations. The TT-bid will automatically be named the World Tour Championship TT. The best single race bid will be named the World Tour Championship. It will be the closing race of the season and be rewarded with higher points for the end classification.
2 three-day races, in which each stage of a single three-day race must be a different type. Brought in by the participating nations.

Therefore, it is possible to sign up two kinds of races, one-day or stage race. You will have to choose between those two kinds, as only one race per nation will be accepted. The sign-up sheets below represent the minimum for being accepted as a bid. If you want your bid to be ensured a place on the calendar, give some additional information, especially on the course of the race. These sign-ups will be open for approximately a week, so you have some time to create a fine bid. This only makes further RP more fun and more challenging and will be appreciated by fellow participants.

Description of obstacles: The route starts from Gabel in Nuevo Nomadia. It starts in the street where the Nuevo Campamento stadium is located. then it goes through a tarmac road going through seven hills between Gabel and Mogya in Nomadia. First, from Gabel, it goes through Latbatba (1st hill), Rumasi (2nd hill), Catobon (3rd hill), Nocoru (4th and 5th hills), Pesgem (6th hill) and then in Mogya, where the seventh hill is located. The surface changes in Latbatba from tarmac to gravel and goes back to tarmac when it reaches Rumasi.
Description of last kilometre: The last kilometer in this stage is a tarmac downhill where any rider can sprint to the finish and carry momentum through the finish line.

Description of obstacles: From Mogya, the route passes through Pesgem, Bradoi, then to Rillaaver, Merco-ed-Vocla, Nganpo, Asi, Lafoxpa and then to Ramo. The Mount Santiago encompasses the cities of Mogya and Pesgem in Nomadia, Asi, Lafoxpa and Ramo in Region Capital, and the towns of Bradoi in Nomadia, Rillaaver, Merco-ed-Vocla and Nganpo in Region Capital. The road type is tarmac on Mogya-Pesgem and Asi-Ramo. In Bradoi-Nganpo, the road type is gravel. The peak of the mountain is in Merco-ed-Vocla, where the first place at this stage gets the King of the Mountain award.
Description of last kilometre: Flat, and fast due to the tarmac road and the footslopes of Mount Santiago.

Description of last kilometre: Calle Deportes is a one kilometer ride encompassing all national stadiums, namely Estadio Ferdinand Marcos (football), Arena Nacional Sangti (Hockey and Basketball), Estadio Beisbol de Sangti (Baseball) and the on construction Estadio Olimpico. It is a downhill tarmac.

Stage 1.
Type: Time Trial
Starting Point: Vozrozhdeny
End Point: Frensdorf
Length: 10.72km
Description: The opening stage of the Drei Schritte aus die Ebenen is talked up by some as the toughest. It's a time trial, but it is one of the steepest time trials you will find. It starts off with a false flat which tires the riders before the big ramps. After 2.5km the riders will hit the first big challenge, as a kilometre section with an average gradient of around 10% kicks in and really hurts the riders. It's uphill all the way for the riders and the sections with an average gradient of 17% will show who has the best prowess in the art of a climbing time trial. The stage as a whole has an average gradient of 11.9% and this is possibly the toughest time trial around for riders, purely because of the physical challenge it presents to them as they have to pit their own human fragility against this stage. The stage starts in Vozrozhdeny, a town in the State of Ebenen, it is renowned for being at the bottom of one of the bigger hills in this region of Mytannion - der Ebenenberg, which tops out at 1850m. It is a fairly industrial town, like most of Mytannion and is the home of the Chayka Brewery, the winner of this stage will be rewarded with a large glass of their finest doppelbock - a strong, malty ale first brewed in these parts. The stage ends in the small village at the top of the climb, Frensdorf, which is basically built around cycling tourism that flocks to this area. It is a leafier version of Vozrozhdeny, with less factories and a cleaner atmosphere.
Last KM: The last kilometre isn't actually that tough when it is compared to the rest of the stage, it still has an average gradient of around 3% though and it will be the only place where the riders will hope to accelerate a little - so long as they aren't too physically strained from what has come before. This is a massive challenge for all riders.

Stage 2.
Type: Hill
Starting Point: Uelzen
End Point: Poluostrov
Length: 163km
Description: This stage features many hills, giving riders many opportunities to attack, this stage favours the more aggressive riders as they can often put a gap to the peloton and then stay away with the many hills providing excellent obstacles for the chasers. The first big hill comes after 33km, the Übergeben sie der Vogel is only 0.8km in length but has an average slope of 12%. Then there is a long flat section which often draws the riders into a false sense of security before three hills in relatively quick succession. The Kuhugel after 83km of racing (average gradient, 10.5% over 1.1km), then the D'Abluv Prukaz after 89km (average gradient 6% over 3.4km), and then finally the Posledni Kopec, after 101km (average gradient 5.9% over 4km). This then gives way to another flat section, but by now the damage is done as riders are split up all over the road by the three hills. Then, in the final 30km there are four big hills, the Premozitel (5.9% gradient over 3km), the Jedna (8.4% over 2km), the Hass (10% over 1.5km) and finally the Hugel von Nikolaus, only 3km from the end, with a ramp with an average gradient of 12% over 1km. The race starts in the small village of Uelzen renowned for its agricultural heritage, the famous longhorn cows from this area are their main symbol and the winner will be rewarded with a prime beef steak sourced from the start village. The race finishes in Poluostrov after all them hills and the riders are actually surprisingly near the coast (especially given the hills here), the town is famed for its nightlife and is a party destination for many. The riders may be able to let off some steam following the race here. This stage is for the puncheurs, Wes van der Stijnen has won all three steps of the Ebenen, but this is his favourite.
Last KM: The final 2 kilometres are actually all downhill, with the last 500 metres flattening out. The town is actually a fair bit above sea level for somewhere so near to the coast. But this indicates its true position as the roads begin to slope downwards after the Hugel von Nikolaus. The 'plains state' as the state of Ebenen is nicknamed has varying terrain but these three stages are selected purely because of the physical challenges they present. The hills around here are incredible, but are few in number, with there only being five or six high points around the state. The final KM is flat mostly and the streets will be packed with spectators to watch the winner roll home.

Stage 3.
Type: Climb
Starting Point: Hoehe
End Point: Forvik
Length: 152km
Description: There are four large climbs in this stage. Instead of the rolling, undulating hills of Stage 2, this time the stage is characterised by four big hills and that is probably because this stage takes in the only roads outside of the Ebenen state. Ebenen is largely a flat state as aforementioned, but this stage takes in parts of the neighbouring Mittelbereich state. Three of the big climbs come in Mittelbereich territory, the first of which comes after 43km of riding and lasts 15.2km with an average gradient of 8%, this is one of few unnamed climbs in Mytannion and is a 'Hors Catégorie' climb. The riders then pass through the small town of Zaochnyi in Mittelbereich and turn south back towards Forvik. After 74km the second big one is reached, a category 2 climb which lasts 8km with an average gradient of around 5%. The next one comes in quick succession, after 85km the Krefeld Pass is reached and this is the second HC of the stage. The northern approach, accessed via Krefeld, is a climb of an enormous 25.3km, gaining 1,585 metres at an average gradient of 6% and this is the truly legbreaking ramp of the stage. The final climb of the day comes back inside the Ebenen state and starts 7km from the end but this time with a truly staggering average gradient of 10% and it will split any breakaway groups right apart and if the peloton remains together until this stage it should fracture it all along the road. Hoehe is another small village in Ebenen state and produces various cheeses given the cattle rearing culture of this region, following the tradition of this race the race winner receives a prize from the start point and in this case it is a block of prime cheese for them to savour, along with their victory. Forvik is a small city and the capital of Ebenen state, it is hugely industrial and is a hub for technology in Mytannion. It has had to manufacture goods to help agriculture in some of the drier regions of the 'plains state' and so is known as a good place for businesses wishing to develop new items to help people through their daily lives and make things easier and more convenient.
Final KM: The final kilometre comes right through the centre of the city of Forvik. The race finishes after a turn around a roundabout and then a straight run down the city's main shopping street before the finishing line in the forum in front of the City Hall. The last kilometre does feature some small cobbled sections, but these are not enough to make the race be considered a 'dirt' race. The big climbs are what makes the final stage what it is.

Looking even a lot better! Small remark, however, is that you've got to indicate who your helpers actually are helping. Ex. if Vegard Sorensen helps on climbing, you've got to indicate that he is helping Wes Van der Stijnen (or someone else, of course). That wasn't really clear in the OP, so I'll change that a little.

But thanks for the form, Mytannion!

PS. The three steps looks good... If you want, I'll fix a special scorination method which applies to TTers AND climbers, as the description is actually the mix of both types.

Description of obstacles (hills, dirt type, mountains, ..): DC-P has a total of 23 cobbled sections, beginning at KM 95, The most notorious sections are rated 5-Stars. There are three of these sections in the race.
- The Drapenberg Forest (KM 169.3-172.8), Is the first of the 5-Star sections. This is where the peloton first splits, and where the first casualties occur. A straight shot, the peloton usually enters this section at speeds around 60km/h. It has a slight uphill gradient for a kilometer then it flattens out. First used in 1959
- Milton (KM 202.4-204.7), Is the most technical of the 4 sections. If it rains, lots of crashes occur in its 9 turns. Fun Fact: In early editions of the race, the local farmers would let there cows poop on this section of road in protest of the race, earning this section the nickname of "the Fume." First used in 1932
- Pave de Mauvais (KM 240.4-244.8), is the longest and hardest of all of the sections, literally meaning, the Bad Stones. It's proximity to the finish makes this section the ideal place to attack. First used in 1975
Description of last kilometre: The last kilometer starts on a bridge as the peloton crosses a bridge to enter Parkeston. Within 200m they make a left turn into the Velodrome de Parkeston, and there they complete 1 and a half laps of the 400m track

Description of obstacles: Riders will leave Darmen City on relatively flat roads, before gradually climbing into the Tyger Mountain Range that dominates Northern Darmen. Mt. Jalvár (Cat. 2) will greet them after only 32km. The climb will be dificult, with riders who specialise in the sprints being forced to wonder why they're even in Darmen. Mt. Lyons (HC) will be even more difficult than the climb preceding it, and will occur after 88km. The final climb of the day, will occur at the 152km mark, with Mt. Nord (Cat. 3) rising in front of the riders. After those first 160 or so kilometers though, the riders will be welcomed by relatively flat roads, although they will be going slightly uphill as they approach Mansfield. If a sprinter can maintain contact with the peloton over the mountains, its a big possibility that they'll win the race.
Description of last kilometre: The final kilometer is a straight shot down the main road in Mansfield. After making a sweeping left turn, the riders will travel under the 1km to go banner and will spot the finish line. A sprint finish is possible.

Description of obstacles: The course is extremely flat, centered mainly in the downtown portions of Mansfield. The riders should be aware though that it will be cold, very cold, and snow may cover the course, although the race organizers will work very hard to keep them clean. A few rolling hills will occur when riders leave town for about 10km.
Description of last kilometre: The finish of the time trial is the exact same as the First Stage.

Description of obstacles: The final stage will surely be the toughest. Three HC climbs will occur after 43km, 120km and 254km respectively. And new this year, the riders will finish going up a Category 4 climb.
Description of last kilometre: The final kilometer will see the climbers tackle a 16 percent grade. The course will twist and turn, and riders should be careful to not stall when taking corners. For the final 100 meters, the climb increases to an 18 percent grade.

Description of obstacles:
KM 1-84 Will be through the urban agglomerations of Jackson, Oklahoma City, Milita, Hialeah, South Beach and Bridgeport. Starting from the University in Jackson, riders will start through downtown Jackson easing onto the Old Coast Parkway. The Parkway is considered the most scenic route in the nation, lying mere meters from the beach. Riders will only leave the parkway when they reach downtown Bridgeport, the second largest city in the nation, where they will exit via the Kings Bridge and begin their journey inland.
KM 85-163 This begins the hilly portion of the race. The first dozen or so kilometers will be through the rural area surrounding Bridgeport which quickly turns into a rolling, forested countryside. The halfway point of the race is when the riders come over Septon Hill, which overlooks Queens Lake and Queenstown, the most beautiful city in the country. The riders will merge onto a highway for a couple kilometers before exiting into the downtown area, running along the lakeside. When riders reach the end of the lake they will turn onto a smaller, rural route not often used since the construction of the highways, where they will ride along the North Queens River then the Prosser River until they reach the next portion of the race- downtown Caroga.
KM 164-208 This portion start when the riders enter the Prosser Parkway, which goes along the Prosser river and through the Government District where riders will see the Capitol and other government buildings. From this historic center riders make their way north through the International District and into the Carogan suburbs. This begins the final leg.
KM 209-303 The final leg of the race runs through the hills north of Caroga, the most prominent farmland in the nation. The final eighty kilometers take rider back south towards the Old Coast along the Mighty Jackson River, the largest in the nation. Like the river, the riders will find themselves entering the city along the scenic route, and unlike last time when riders began in the upper-class University District, they will be going through the middle-class, downtown Red Rocks District, known for the quarry Jackson was founded for. When leaving the city-center, riders will make their way across the Bridge of the Republic onto Jackson Isle. The easternmost point of the island, Jackson Point Park, is the finish line of the race.
Description of last kilometre: KM 304 Is on the island and takes place along the bend of Point Parkway entering the park. Riders leave the road to enter the pathways in the park and will end the race with a straight 150 meter sprint from the west end of the Grand Stones Monument to the finish line- the entrance to the Grand Stones Monument.
Nickname of the race: Tour Carasatoga, Trail-National, Old Coast Killer (named for before the Old Coast Parkway was complete as the view was intentionally scary, when riders drove along the cliffs; only two people have actually died during the race, one from heart attack and the other from crashing, not along the cliffs.)

And a hearthy welcome to the Serbian Empire as well of course. The information post has been updated and so far everything looks good (small remark to SRB, could you take a look to Bledar's dirt-value?).
I'm also thinking about changing the character of the Island Tour (info to come) a little bit in order to make sure that each type of rider gets his opportunities (ex. more sprint and dirt and less mountains).

Short heads-up:

Sign-ups are going to be closed Tuesday, 14h (GMT+1). That is a small 46 hours after this post. A bit long-ish, but I know some people are still working on a proposition.
So far, the race sign-ups have brought us 3 multiple-stage races and 2 single-day races. As this doesn't critically alter the amount of days raced, there might (ofc depending on further sign-ups) be an additional multiple-stage race and less single-day races on the calendar. Might. I'll throw in the calendar when closing sign-ups and prepare this to became the IC thread. Realise that the calendar will be adapted to my RL schedule (trying to keep only a 24 or 36 hour gap between two stages of a stage race), so there might be a few rest days between races.

A question: what is the age limit for young riders? The team I'm planning to enter has many riders which I'd consider 'young' (under 23), but what's the technical limit?

I've set up no technical age because I wanted to leave that open to RP, in order to cope with the space-time continuum and to leave open the option of participating horses ponies (see: Island Tour, although I'm not sure in what age system those were). And mainly because I dreadfully forgot. I'm fine with everything as long as it is
a) correct with the value skill limit
b) consistent within an entry (so no 25 y/o young rider while your 22 y/o isn't, no 59 y/o while the rest of his teammates are in their twenties unless there is a good reason to)

Something along the lines of 24, 25 would be semi-consistent with the other teams.
