They aren't "world" records because anyone could conceivably claim to have had someone post a better time/distance/weight/total than any of those you've listed. If you intend it to be a comprehensive list of summer sport Olympic records then I would suggest you ensure you've looked through all of this so that you haven't missed anything. In any case, that is irrelevant to this thread which seeks to compile a list of every event and tournament held, not a list of records.

To whom it may concern: for the entry for the 7th Scott Cup, I believe you have it confused with the World Team Tennis Cup, which was carried out in the same thread. The podium for the 1st World Team Tennis Cup is the listed Civil Citizenry-Delaclava-Bergnovinaia, while the podium for the 7th Scott Cup was Delaclava-Sarzonia B-Delaclava B. This is basically my fault because of the somewhat confusing way in which I ran the two tournaments so I figured I would bring it to your attention. Thanks! :)

I also made the rather idiotic mistake of reporting the Scott Cup podium as DEL-SRZB-DELB, when in fact Sarzonia B beat Delaclava in the final. Whoops

A small correction is required on the entry for the Second Island Tour, which lists the points classification order. It should list the time classification order, van der Stijnen-Croker-van der Capellen. (Though the winner of that could also be noted, because, as IRL, it's a separate competition, with very different contenders, that happens to be from the same race, and its winner is still worth noting.)
Out of international isolation and... winning things? Huh?

Host: World Lacrosse Championship 13, Baptism of Iron X, 7th World Championships of Babbage Rules Football, and Games of the IX Olympiad.

Won: World Lacrosse Championship 13, Elephant Chess Cup 7, and Memorial Cup. Also top of the medals table at the Games of the IX Olympiad (24 gold, 63 total medals).
World Lacrosse Championship 12 and World Bowl 47 quarter-finalists, World Bowl XV and World Baseball Classic 20 octo-finalists
28 medals, 10 gold, at Games of the VI Olympiad (13th in medal table)
7 medals, 5 gold, at VII Olympic Winter Games (7th in medal table)
26 medals, 10 gold, at Games of the VIII Olympiad (9th in medal table)

Hopefully the thread should now be corrected to include the aforementioned posts - thanks to everyone for making them known. Just as an FYI for Taijan, the Esportivan basketball competition was already in the thread - check the second bottom entry of the basketball post.

Another invitation to all you people out there: If anyone is interested in updating a specific section of the History thread like EQS already does, please TG Apox, saying which sport you'd be interested in updating and why you think you are suitable. Bear in mind that only offers from experienced parties, with experience being judged by myself will be considered - I want this thread to stay entirely in good hands.

It is really not much work, at the moment it takes me an hour to two hours to update the entire thread (except the WCC section) and I only update it roughly every three months, so just covering one sport would not take long at all.

Thanks very much for pointing those out to me, and please continue to do so. They will all be added to the thread at the next update. A note to Vaugania - the thread was updated on 1st December, so the WBC wouldn't even have been on it anyway as it finished after the update.

I thought there was an American Football tournament for a smaller region like a month ago, but I don't know, can't remember the name of the region. It wasn't Esportiva or anything big. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

For: Canoli's, NFL, Christmas, Thanksgiving, pizza, ice cream, watermelon, doggies, snow, summer nights, Santa Claus

Against: Slushy stuff that snow turns into after it rains, feminists,I kinda dislike anime, when people call American Football "egghand" because that is a stupid name even if it has some logic
