OK, two topics to vote on:

1) Accept the bid of Captina Island for hosting or re-open nominations
2) Re-elect Baker Park as President for another 3 cycle term

Vice President The Cordian Isles will relinquish his position, so there will be a search for a new Number Two.

Send votes for both to the World_Lacrosse_Championships by Friday August 25 at 6pm EDT (that's 2200 for you UTC lovers). I will appoint a nation to be responsible for the tabulation of the votes between now and then (I'll not peek, I promise!) All nations currently signed up who have participated in a previous WLC are eligible to vote.

Imagine my surprise when I logged in just moments ago to find NOT a SINGLE TG containing a vote for either host or President.

NOT ONE SINGLE VOTE!

Are we disbanding the WLC? Because if NO ONE is replying, no one is voting, no one giving any feedback, why should we continue on?

I get it, I really do. This particular time of the year is rough for people. But give me something to work with on the information front.

VOTING will be extended 48 hours from this post (11:59 EDT Sunday August 27).

I for one would happily participate, but my first WLC since hiatus hasn't happened yet.

Memorandum from The President

Greetings from Long Stick!

I consider it an honor to be re-elected to a second term as President of the WLC, which will begin at the conclusion of the Final and cover the 44-46th WLC cycle period.

We have reached the conclusion of the 43rd edition of the WLC, with the Final pitting two of our most esteemed nations against one another--Abanhfleft, six times champion of the competition against Cassadaigua, five times host and twice runners-up.

We thank The Cordian Isles for their service during their tenure as Vice President and repeat the earlier statement that any nation that submitted a roster and RP'd during the 43rd WLC is now a full member of the Council and eligible to hold office. Anyone interested in serving in the role should contact me at the offices of the Commonwealth of Baker Park Lacrosse Association.

Until we see you at WLC 44, keep on Laxxing!!

Dawn Thornton
WLC President

Memorandum from The President

Greetings from Long Stick!

Happy New Year and all the best wishes we can offer.

This Business Meeting of the World Lacrosse Council is in session. REMINDER--any nation that submitted a roster and RP'd during the 43rd WLC is now a full member of the Council.

Agenda:
--The 44th World Lacrosse Championship. Suggestions as to when signups should open are welcomed. Hopefully we can regain the participation levels we've been accustomed to prior to the last edition.
--The Vice-Presidency remains vacant and it is a priority to fill the position ahead of the next tournament. Anyone on the Council is eligible to serve, contact Baker Park vis TG or on Discord should you have interest.
--Questions (or answers), comments, suggestions, lovely recipes for a hearty meal...speak up.

That is all for the time being.

I don't think it's a bad idea to start up WLC-44 at any point. WLC runs separately from the synchronised calendar a lot of other sports have in relations to World Cup or footballing regionals, and heck even gridiron runs mostly unaffected even if a lot of us are involved in it.

I do intend to return this WLC, but will have to think about how to plan my return and whatnot, not to mention how the domestics would work for myself.
