Hello this is Princess Stella Annabelle Dallas for Naked News Jeruselem.
Once again it's the World Cup 94 qualification and we're back home at Dazza Dallas Stadium.
This is a family show, see all the family here ... actually, it just happens to be kids day today.
Not all of these are mine ... only one of them, that one.

Last round was number 6, and generally the script was followed, well except one game.
Mameath hosted the Princesses and the Princesses went home with 3 points 2-0.
Huayramarca cruised to 3-1 win over Greater Cebu at home.
Ko-oren hosted rival Darmen and didn't seem bothered winnin 2-0.
The Cardinals, or Ile de Richelieu beat Sannyamathland at home.
So, expected results ... The Cherven Cities finally scored their first win, beating Pyazhnaya in Pyazhnaya.
WELL DONE The Cherven Cities!
Oh yes, group leader Naixi had the bye.

Now for today, here and now.
As you see, the future generation are here watching football so things are in same hands!
The annoying one here wants my job ...
Anyway, will Group 2 be as predictable as the last round?
Well, mostly ... there's always one outlier every round.

Sannyamathland had the bye today, so they'll be on the bottom and stay there.
Which leaves 4 teams with a bye to sit out.

Darmen who played Ko-oren previously, had to host the really dangerous Cardinals, or Ile de Richelieu.
Darmen are getting better but the Cardinals should prove an interesting opponent, they have shown they are competitive.
They are now starting get going and showed they are competitive winning 2-1. Cardinals proved they weren't bystanders either.

The Cherven Cities, off a win ... suddenly had to host the top seed Huayramarca!
No one yet had beaten Huayramarca, and well how close were The Cherven Cities?
WELL, they managed to draw 3-3! For such a team, a draw is an impressive fear but they did score 3 goals!
A great step forward for The Cherven Cities.

Naixi was at home and Mameath proved no competition, going down 3-0.
Naixi off the bye, and back on the winning horse.
Just like the Cardinals, Naixi are standing up and showing they aren't there for show.

Now, here where Jeruselem played Pyazhnaya who haven't been having much luck getting wins.
Well Pyazhnaya didn't get a win, or a point.
Yes we won, but it was a little close. 3-2.
We shouldn't have conceded two goals but hey it happened.
Weirdly our goals against tripled from 1 to 3 ... a problem which other teams wouldn't complain about.

The group 2 table is beginning to look more like expected. The PRINCESSES rule on top with 16 points with Ko-oren 2nd on 15. Naixi hold 3rd but we have Huayramarca in 4th, both on 14 points. Back down to 9 points, Ile de Richelieu in 5th and Darmen 6th. Mameath 7th on 8, Greater Cebu 8th with 6. The Cherven Cities JUMP into 9th 4 points and well Pyazhnaya with 3 points and someone has to be last ... Sannyamathland. Naixi and Ile de Richelieu making a statement!

Next up, we have to travel to Huayramarca and then host Ko-oren. Yeah, we're playing the number 1 and 2 seed next.
And then we have to play the Cardinals!
Next three games will not be easy at all.

But today, another 3 points.
Today being kids day, kids get into the stadium for free, not they have pay for it anyway - the parents do.
A lot of sales of trading cards today, hoping to win the Golden ticket.
We have not deliberately shown what it looks like, except I am on the card just to make sure people don't make ... like fakes.

We did have a late start due some protesters, who don't like foreigners.
They get stirred up when World Cup comes along.
But our security people moved them along, efficiently.
A little gentle coercion goes a long away ...

Repin Says to Stay the Course as Chromatika Continues Tepid Start

SANAR, RAINBOW DISTRICT - Despite another subpar outing by the Anomalies - saved only by a wonder goal from Lavrentiy Xuen-Zhukov - Mytanar Manager Lev Repin stated that he will stay the course regarding the planned rosters at least through the first half of qualifying.

"We can only play the games ahead of us to the best of our ability," stated centre-back Eileen Jackson-Jones, "We truly need to appreciate the opportunity given to us by the CFF to show our skills."

It is the fourth negative result in six matched for the Anomalies, and with the fact that Tikariot has had a perfect start with a game on hand, means that the Chromatiks will be facing an uphill battle from now on.

Thankfully, there are plenty of matches left to play, and the battle for playoff slots isn't that far off.

DOMINICA CITY - In a game filled by goals and delays sometimes you need an entertaining pick-me-up. I'm sure the last thing several million Xanneria NT Maroon fans needed was a reminder of the 11 goal blowout that saw Xanneria lose 4-7. When the new episode of "Meet the Andies" came on Sunday night they got a rude reminder of that game. In the episode, Andrew Andies, a manager of the local Rickenbahls Sporting Goods store, gets caught up in a "Farfadillian Flying Jellyfish Smuggling Operation", he has to save the day from the giant and eventually irradiated Flying Jellyfish that he smuggled in.

This probably reminded a lot of people of the two hour delay in Saturdays game versus Farfadillis as fans of Farf NT managed to cause a stir when some baby Flying Jellyfish got loose and wandered around the stadium terrorizing fans and players alike. While fans were able to get to the concourse and out of the way of the creatures, The delay was mostly due to the nearest city animal control unit that was available, was located in the west part of Northshore. After the delay though, the Jellyfish clearly had an effect on the Maroons as the team succumbed to a quick four goal deficit. Mâát Trlimándã Wôl scored a hat trick after 25 minutes and the game had gotten out of hand. The Maroons did score 4 goals overall, but most were scored well after the reserves had been put in and the Farves had slowed down a bit. In the end the game ended 7-4 with Farf, but the big controversy had more to do with Esportiva's most beloved animated family doing an episode about Flying Jellyfish.

"Meet the Andies" show runner Bartholomew "Bart" Homer had the following to say about the coincidence.

B. Homer wrote: Well actually we had an idea for a few years to do an episode about Farfadillis, so when we heard that Farfadillis would play the Maroons, we thought "this is the time to do the Farf episode!" Especially given that Andrww's son Kyle is a star footballer on the Piedmont HS team.

Are We Getting Involved Now?

This morning, a news release by KBK, Kieraha News Agency has sparked a national search within Acastanha. The news agency had spread the information that Keise Islands Governor, Octavianus Prima is currently in Acastanha. The news also was accompanied by a footage picture of Prima who seems to walking in an airport hall. The immigration of Acastanha have stated that Prima is indeed landed in Acastanha through Arrachai International Airport two days ago. But his location and position are unknown. He is using a tourist visa to enter the country which only valid for a maximum of 30 days. But as the situation in Kieraha escalate, Prima is currently a fugitive in hiding.

Based on the news release by KBK, Kierahan Prime Minister with the approval of the Parliament was officially firing Governor of Keise Islands and his cabinet. The Federal Parliament was also dissolving Keisean Parliament and announced a fresh election to the province. And yesterday, Kierahan Supreme Court have a retraining order to everyone involved in the Keisean Referendum including the governor himself.

This decision lead to Kierahan Ambassador to Acastanha asked for Acastanha participation in finding Octavianus Prima as he was last seen in Arrachai International Airport. Prima and his political party is accused and the main conspirator of Keisean Referendum. Acastanha Chief Police Officer, Teo Sabato, stated that he and his unit will help the searching of Prima although he wants Kierahan authority to be patient.

Elsewhere, Ketampi/Ocidental Governor, Abdul Ghani voiced his sympathy over the situation happened in Keise. 'He hope that everything will resolved soon and no casualties added to the incident,' he said. It was viral in online media the news about a clashed happening between pro and anti-referendum protesters in Keise capital, Tual. The clashed injured more than 90 peoples from both sides. While President Garbuno once again stated her neutrality regarding the situation but urge the government of Kieraha to solved the situation in peaceful way. She also give her condolence to the families of the clash victims.

The Discourse was getting to Ravil Kulesza.
He was used to being the subject of Discourse. Ever since being one of the most promising strikers of his generation. One of. Vivi cast a long shadow, which was impressive given he was substantially taller than her.
"Must be a throwback for you, eh, Ravil?" he'd been asked at a press conference. "Going two up front with Vivi; just like your days in the under-20s, right?"
And he'd had to grimace and lean too close into the mic and say something unhelpful and true, like, "uh, we never actually-- we've never played together, before." Because, true, he'd been the star striker of the U20s when he was 19. Because Vetiver was already with the senior Cormorants. When Vetiver was with the U20s, Kulesza, a few months younger, had been with the U18s; when Vetiver was with the U18s, he'd been at the U17s. So on. He was the best striker of the age group that had actually played within the age group. And now he was, apparently, Nephara's number 9... but a very distant second, eh? He had to know his place.
A few months ago, his place had been at the Eagles Cup, surrounded by other hopefuls, long-shots and no-chancers. A very good side, but they found it hard going - again - except for him. He came away with three goals and an assist, a strong all-round performance... and, yeah, Igrene Cantor reckoned he was ready to lead the line. With Vetiver in behind.
But 4-4-2 was cultural cringe central, these days. Moreover, Cantor's last attempt to instill it at the senior level had been a disaster. So when teamsheets came out against serious opposition, the vox populi always frowned at the number 9, because frankly they'd rather have Renate March or Cassander Southsea slotting into the centre of midfield, which was a bit awkward since Cantor was busy shoving them out the door.
It was getting to him. And he'd been mediocre against Ascvalion, but worse, nonexistent against Yakk and Cassadaigua, hooked for Leandra Berenguer in both instances. Berenguer hadn't had to do her time in the Eagles Cup. She was a lanky technician, reared in Brinemouth's academy, with a fantastic first touch, currently making waves in Chromatika. She didn't have Kulesza's pace, power or general dynamism, but she was, in a sense, better as a footballer. Her next to Vetiver? That, at least, looked, right.
But on a misty, ugly grey day against Astograth, Kulesza was certain it would be his day. Astograth had begun qualification sluggishly, and looked unlikely to get off the mark in Nephara. Kulesza could surely fill his boots!
An hour in, boots unfilled, he trudged off to be replaced by Leandra Berenguer. Berenguer, who had an Astograthian father herself. Berenguer, who apparently had no split loyalties, and proved it by burying a half-chance on the turn on the edge of the box just a few minutes later.

By the time the number 9 appeared on the teamsheet against Milchama, it was at the point where Cantor had to defend it before the ball had even reached the centre circle. Even then, "I like the energy he brings to the team" was hardly the most glowing praise.
The Cormorants really, really needed to beat Milchama and throw them off the top of the table. Fortunately, when the time came to rise to the challenge, Nephara very, very rarely cracked. At least in qualifying.
Nephara had the better of the game from the start, but not by such a margin Milchama ever looked out of it; indeed, the Warriors had the first big chance, and Nephara were lucky that Interlasskoti pulled their ninth-minute shot too close to Strand, deftly and gratefully claimed. Wake-up call. The Cormorants hammered on the door for the next ten minute, Entersher with a spectacular diving save to deny Madita Brewer. Vetiver was warming into the game, getting touches here and there but shepherded away from the box. Kulesza ran about menacing people.
The game faded into a lull, for a stretch. The home crowd groaned. The creative touch seemed missing, that inspiration in the final third...
... then out of nowhere, Arachne Loeher came bursting down the left, played a slick one-two with Tanith Xu and then whipped a low shot past Entersher's near post, a split second before being clattered by Kelliers. 1-0.
Ball back into the centre circle. Flok to Benbemore, back to Cekarn, hoofed wide to Kouriea. Cutback for Kamet, who smacked a piledriver high and hard, almost scoring before a Nephar got a touch. Would have scored if a Nephar hadn't had a touch, but Medusa Strand flicked the ball away after a mighty leap and Vetta Roback gratefully secured the rebound.
The green wave came forward again. It ebbed, it flowed, but it never quite seemed to reach Kulesza - though he thought, a couple of times, the opportunity was surely there for a cross. He knew Loeher could deliver a good high cross, but she always seemed to go for the cutback, to look for Vetiver. Everyone seemed to want to look for Vetiver. It was, Kulesza had to admit, probably the right idea.
But still...
... wait. Here. Madita Brewer in a good position to cross-- or to take a shot, which she did, and the ball smacks off Elkenstall and out. Okay, but still, a corner. Brewer to take, and she goes short, but only so that rightback Tiamat Holden can go long, sweeping a peach of a diagonal into the box. Bodies go this way and that, but Kulesza's there...
... the ball floats over his head, but onto Vetta Roback's, and she stoops to head. Low, hard, it caroms off Entersher's foot, hits Hexidevorah in the back--
It's instinct. It's six-year old five-a-side football, but neurons fire when that ball is close enough, and Kulesza kicks and hacks in its direction. His studs rake Elkenstall first - he got in the way - before somehow, in the crowd of frantic boots, his is the one that nicks against the ball. It's over in less than a second. He feels the impact, hears the net rustle, hears the fans react, people are mobbing him, the Warriors are calling for a foul...
"That's a really shit goal," snorted Cantor on the sidelines.
Her assistant raised an eyebrow. "It'll be good for his confidence though, eh?"
"It shouldn't. He just stuck a leg out."
"But you were a striker--"
"I got confident when I got into a rhythm of striking the ball just so. That--" She gestured out at the box, "was a fluke. Half the fans in the stadium could've got that in."
"Wouldn't be in the right position, though, eh--"
"Ah, c'mon, he was in the fucking centre of the penalty area! Striker's instinct that was not!"
But redouble his confidence it did. He scored against Brascovia, in difficult conditions away from home, and generally bossed the pitch. But Cantor was, just a little bit, disappointed in him for it.

MOVIES: HELENA, DIRECTED BY ABBEY SADLER

Based on the Rothetnesbu Volcano’s last major eruption 139 years ago, Cleorough movie director Abbey Sadler’s Helena has intertwined historical fact with fiction and captured audiences from all around the multiverse, the 30-year-old’s movie becoming the country’s biggest hit in the industry in the past 25 years after its release ten months ago. Based in the then-small village of Felton in the foothills of the Cable Alps, a six kilometre hike to the base of the mountain standing at over 2,700 metres, the film depicts 19-year-old Helena Waverton working with her three brothers harvesting Star Core chillies from the volcano’s slopes when they felt and heard rumbling emitting from deep beneath the earth. Ever since Sylestonean was colonised over 300 years prior to the event, Rothetnesbu had shown no signs of erupting, with indigenous Irundji texts indicating that “fire had not spouted from the top of the mountain” for over a millennia. Being a secluded village in literally the middle of nowhere, many of Felton’s inhabitants had only very rarely contacted the outside world, with some never having much reason at all to leave the local area. As a result, upon reaching the village after hearing the rumblings, only very few locals believed them, amounting to a distrust that saw a drastic decrease in business over the following days, despite tremors and quakes regularly shaking the countryside. Despite her brothers and parents insisting she shouldn’t, Helena left after dark one night with a sack of food and water on her back, taking the roads through the alps and eventually foothills in order to reach the nearest large town, Oslolihul, ninety kilometres away. Surviving a burglary under the cover of darkness and policemen patrolling the road close to her destination, Helena struggled to convince those with authority to act and evacuate the villages surrounding the volcano as she discovered love with 18-year-old Timothy from a local orphanage. Unfortunately for her, it would be one small spark of happiness amongst a (literal) sheet of grey as while she was eventually able to convince the Oslolihul mayor to order the evacuation, a cloud of ash arose from the alps as she was on the road back to Felton, pyroclastic flows burying the place she called home under a wall of rock. Aside from her, the only people to survive were those who had taken after her that morning once she was discovered missing - a group that included her youngest brother Jonathan - found holed up under bushes on the outskirts of Oslolihul as ash poured rained down from the sky. In the movie’s epilogue, we see Helena and Jonathan leading the rebuild of Felton five years after the eruption, the former cradling a baby in her arms as they and Timothy lead the rebuild of the town square - a critical step as the town grows larger than ever before.

While some of the facts from the actual eruption might line up with the image Sadler has depicted in Helena, such as the timing of the event and the distrust from locals, regular quakes and rumbles resulted in a significant portion of many nearby villages being evacuated before Rothetnesbu blew, with Helena herself being a fictional character. Additionally, most of Felton survived the eruption, as constant tremors and quakes convinced them that the area wasn’t safe, evacuating to Oslolihul in the nick of time. However, it is true that the villagers themselves led the rebuilding of the town once the area was deemed safe again, with the now-bustling place encompassing four different valleys and a plateau, spanning eight kilometres from one side to the other and housing 20,000 people. Now, the town is a bustling trade hub, popular for farmers due to the fertile soils and for tourists willing to taste the scenery of the Cable Alps that range over Sylestone’s eastern coastline.

SENTIENTS BELATEDLY KICKSTART CAMPAIGN AS SARCAV-JONES NETS MAIDEN NATIONAL GOAL

Two very different games, two similar results. It’s the beauty of football, really - no matter the processions of a game, all results are still possible. Off the back of a thrashing at the hands of the reigning world champions and a frustrating tussle of a match in Marbury against the 14 Stars, an away fixture at the 80th-ranked Starblaydia was never going to be easy. However, despite many predicting a loss to the five-time world champions, it was Riley Strathfield for the Sentients who took the lead just six minutes in against the run of play, snatching the ball from a Starblaydi defender and beating the keeper to score Sylestone’s first goal of the campaign, the first since Brett Sarcav-Jones netted against the Independent Athletes from Quebec in Betham back before that game against Banija. And while Starblaydia continued to dominate possession, they fell right into the trap set by Mojmir Anac and his players, frustrating the home crowd as the stacked Sylestonean defence refused to let them penetrate the final third, constantly finding ways to counter any method of attack and always appearing a threat on the counter. A ten minute period just after half time saw the Starblaydi appearing to threaten the Brick Wall in goals more than ever before, only to lose their touch as the Sentients wrestled back control in the defensive line, taking the opportunity to launch multiple counters and threaten for a second goal. In the 61st minute, James Barclay sealed it with a classic free kick, cementing himself as the country’s best from outside the box with a lovely knuckleball over the wall and into the top corner, snuffing all hope out for the home side as the game fell back into a stalemate, neither side willing to risk conceding with the score 2-0. It had taken a while but finally, Sylestone were back at their counterattacking best.

While Starblaydia may have had history on their side, Al-Tamazgha were a completely different beast. With nothing to lose coming into the clash at Avondale’s Kitchener Stadium, the 131st-ranked side were not going to back down without a fight, even after conceding an early penalty only for Gemma Rodway’s shot to be palmed away by the opposition goalkeeper - a rarity for such a qualified set piece taker. While she made up for it with a classy assist to Amelia Stanton on the verge of the half hour, it was Al-Tamazgha who scored in the 40th minute to leave the game evenly poised at half time, although with Brett Sarcav-Jones seemingly warming up on the bench, no one at the Avondale City home ground held any doubts.

And sure enough, it would be the 18-year-old that emerged through the youth program at Kitchener who broke the deadlock in the 79th minute as the Al-Tamazgha defence parted in front of him, calmly belting the ball into the bottom right corner of the net and leaving the keeper with no chance. As you’d expect from a cult hero at the local club, the Avondale crowd rose as one as their starboy, now sold to St John’s Arsenal in Quebec for a whopping six million NSD, gave their country the lead once again. With Al-Tamazgha unable to break down the Sylestonean back five once again, a 2-1 victory saw the Sentients jump into sixth place with a 2-1-1 record ahead of a blockbuster clash at the Novi Kaunostadion in Mytanija. The stadium, being the home ground of Olympic Thessia - Mojmir Anac’s former club - is expected to be packed to the brim and treat the Sylestonean manager to a hero’s welcome. However, Mytanija will be just as ruthless on the pitch and with both sides famous for their defensive style of play, one goal is likely to be the final difference between the two sides and as a result, the Sentients must be in top shape heading into the fixture. With two wins under their belt, can they pull a point or three out of the game?

DOCUMENTARIES: GEORGE ROBERTSON’S LEAFY PLANET

A series organised and directed by famed Sylestonean biologist and botanist George Roberton, Leafy Planet is quite literally what it sounds - in each episode, Robertson examines a famous forest somewhere on the planet, explaining the underlying processes by which each created its phenomena through the time and depths of evolution. Six episodes into ten in the first season, Robertson has begun in Sylestone’s tropical rainforests, studying the famous Meville Rainforest in the country’s northwest, before moving east to the Great Southern and Chackory rainforests surrounding Betham and Pesfield respectively. However, in recent episodes, Leafy Planet has described the supernatural Cingciripit Forest in Amenria, before travelling to Tikariot to capture the world-famous Xakar Forest and those in the Viljamark Province. While Robertson has preferred to keep his remaining destinations a secret to his viewing audience, he has promised that they will be no less awe-inspiring and thrilling, although fans of the biologist had reportedly spotted him in Krytenia in proximity to the Forest of Yardley a few months ago.

To provide a snapshot of what Robertson discusses in Leafy Planet, episode one sees the crew enter the Meville Rainforest fifty kilometres north of Chamberley at Ryaderra Falls as the scenery quickly changes from valley to thick, towering trees and dense undergrowth while the forest path became nearly impossible to follow. Over the episode, Robertson educates his audience on why various species and processes are integral to the functioning of the local ecosystem and even being lucky enough to come across a diamond-back python nestling itself within the branches of a kapok tree, as well as many exotic bird species. In addition, Robertson lectures about the Mwimbi Bimbi plant only found within Sylestonean rainforests and while its fruit may appear plum-like and delicious on the outside, their toxins are easily capable of killing full-grown men within a couple of hours. Instead, local Irundji populations leached the fruit into a nearby stream of running water, allowing for the toxins to wash away before biting into the sickly sweet mango-flavoured flesh. After just one episode, Leafy Planet became Robertson’s most viewed documentary of all time, with five million viewers across the multiverse.

A very respectable draw away from home against the in-form Mytanar has headlined this week’s results for the Sentients and combined with a 1-0 home triumph against Josifovo, Sylestone have been able to sneak up into fourth, a point off the playoff spot Sargossa currently holds - a team that the Esportivans have a game in hand over. Despite their rather worrying start to the qualification cycle with a 4-0 loss at Busukuma in Banija and a home nil-all draw to the 221st-ranked team in the multiverse, four solid results in a row have marked the return of Mojmir Anac’s side as they extend their run without a loss to five games. Two excellent defensive showings have highlighted the improvements Anac and his coaching staff have made to the squad, fending off a vicious Mytanija at Anac’s old home ground, the Novi Kaunostadion in Thessia - a place where many believe he will eventually return to with Olympic in the 1. Prvenstvo - with both sides putting their bodies on the line in a game that featured eight yellow cards and a few very close calls with send-offs. As expected, the hosts dominated the fixture in front of their home crowd, but the Sentients held on and nearly stole the three points from right under the hosts, Mbala-Ekakia’s desperate tackle in the second minute of stoppage time earning him an “orange” card as Riley Strathfield attempted to break free. While many Sylestoneans felt as though Mbala-Ekakia should have been awarded a red card for the tackle for in their eyes, it prevented a genuine goalscoring opportunity, there’s not really much you can do from your living room armchair. In the end, though, whose going to complain about an away draw against a side that had previously only dropped points to the rampant Banijans?

While the Sentients were pressed to their very limits against Mytanija, Josifovo was a little bit of an easier task as the visitors more or less played right into the hands presented by Mojmir Anac and his on-field force, the game falling into the same rhythm as the away fixture in Starblaydia where despite dominating possession, Sylestone’s opponents never really threatened. While it appeared as though Josifovo would manage a nil-all draw, though, an erroneous hand from left back Zdravko Kuzmanovski saw Abigail Jones’ cross draw a penalty, one of which Hayden Blamey did not miss from eleven yards with only Tome Budzakoski to beat, handing the hosts a 1-0 lead in Cleorough. In the end, Josifovo would never really trouble them despite a late burst as the Sentients jumped into fourth, just a point behind Sargossa with a game in hand. Who knows, with a victory in Boring Paradise and stealing three points from the struggling Ochre Islands in Betham, perhaps Anac’s players might just be about to launch an assault on the playoff spots. With first place seemingly already out of reach thanks to a rampant Banija, only two of Mytanija, Sargossa, Sylestone and the Ochre Islands - the four likely challengers for a playoff berth at this stage - are going to finish inside the top three. There’s still fourteen matches left to play, but every point is vital. Can Mojmir Anac do it yet again?

It's Not Me, It's Them! - Rotropii

1th December Stadium, Trolleborg City, Trolleborg :: The Vilitan National Team were already coming in behind the eight ball as they traveled to Trolleborg for their match at the 100,000 capacity 1th December Stadium in Trolleborg City. Having lost their previous two matches handily by a combined 9-3 scoreline, while having a goalkeeper sent of in each of those two games, Vilita were in desperate need of a victory, any victory, to reset their qualifying campaign and avoid getting stuck in the lower half of the table.

Baker Park based netminder Ukamai Talingri who was previously sent off for the Jungle Rebels against Tanirinthia would be back in net for Vilita after serving their one match suspension.

Talingri would be solid throughout the first half as Trolleborg poured on the pressure looking to satisfy an impressive following of home fans. As the game progressed onward into the second half, however, Vilita began taking more and more chances knowing how important a win would be to resurrect their qualifying campaign. Through substitutions, Vilita would throw more and more attack minded players at the problem including Mijiakuj Sklinai and Mikele Alasita. Sklinai nearly put the Jungle Rebels on the board with their first shot of the game but was denied by Morten Kerr. Kerr would get the game moving quickly back up the field where after a couple of quick passes Torben Kranforde would be free on goal. Talingri charged out but Kranforde took a dribble to the side and was toppled over.

In denial of a clear and obvious goalscoring opportunity, Talingri was sent off for the second time in as many appearances for the Vilitan National Team forcing a string of substitutions that would eventually see yet another substitute appearance for Altirii Touiniki. The teenager was unable to do anything to stop Kranforde's spot-kick conversion and just like that the Vilitans were losing once again, with only 15 minutes and ten players to try to fight back with. While it was a valiant press with a couple of solid opportunities to level the scores, once again, Vilita would fall short, suffering a rare third straight World Cup Qualifying defeat.

Incredibly, in the post match press conference, under-fire Vilita National Team head coach Endur Rotropii refused to take the blame for the teams performances as of late stating

"My team gives these players the training they need - the skills, the discipline, the tactics - everything they need to win a game. They simply are choosing not to use it right now, and I dont know why. Especially the Goalkeepers. I'm not sure why every time a team losing a game the media come down expecting the manager to be fired. The manager isn't out there playing the game, the players are. They are the ones forgetting what we've told them to do, taking stupid red cards and screwing things up for the entire country - why don't we start talking about firing some of them when they screw up?"

Over the opening 6 games of World Cup Qualifying, the Vilita National Team under Rotropii's leadership have been defeated by teams a cumulative 160 ranking positions below them and dropped points to teams totalling 457 places behind them in the World Cup Committee Rankings meaning that regardless of who is to blame for the poor results, it is unlikely they will continue without some action being taken.

Should the Vilitans fail to claim victory over 214th ranked Dantopia at the Alikki-Corra Academy in their 7th match of the cycle then they will stand alone as the singular worst Vilitan qualifying performance as a ranked nation in the history of the team.

The Vilitan National Team has just three recorded defeats in the Modern Era on Matchday 7 of Qualifying, the first coming against Kelssek by a 1-2 scoreline in the qualifiers for World Cup 50. Defeats against Valladares during World Cup 60 Qualifying and Pluvia and he Saxean Isles during World Cup 88 Qualifying are the only other modern era Matchday 7 defeats the team have suffered while also having been held to just 3 draws in this time period - generally the strongest for Vilita in the middle of a qualifying session.

This Vilitan Team is different, however, and certainly not in a good way. Thus far they have been unable to keep their composure on the pitch, with three consecutive matches having played with the goalkeeper being sent off and now an internal battle between the coaching staff and the players as to who is to blame for the improbable historically horrid start to the campaign. The Vilita National Team will have time to potentially regroup themselves with a bye on Matchday 7 and a travel-free preparation for their next match which will be in the Vilitan capital city of Alikki-Corra, just down the road from the Vilita National Team Training facilities, offering the team ample opportunity to shield themselves from any distractions or excuses heading into the next game that will almost certainly make or break the future of the team.

Turori Sport Report

World Cup 93 Qualifying Matchday 7 :: on the heels of four consecutive clean sheets led by goalkeeper Derizi Amatopa, the Turori National Team were brimming with confidence in hosting Grou p5 challengers Drawkland on Matchday 7 of World Cup 94 Qualifying. The Eels were coming off a bye day that would see each of their primary challengers for the top spot in Group 7, Drawkland and Ceni, pick up 3 points.

The 5-1 victory for Ceni over Kewlz would not only allow the Cenians to pull level on points with Turori at the top of the Group 5 table but would also open up a gap between the top two and the rest of the field with 6 points now separating Turori and Ceni from 4th place side Kewlz that would represent the places that would miss out on the World Cup 94 Finals.

The Almintora National Stadium would be the site of an important matchup between Turori and Drawkland that could separate the top teams even further if the Eels could win, or, bring Turori and Drawkland level on points in second position in the group.

Things would start off well for Turori with Kinabo Telioa putting the Eels in front in the 18th minute, taking a through ball from the resurgent Kiidallen Aeroluzzi and smashing it beyond Joetta Mullins. It would prove to be the Eels only goal of the first half, however, and Drawkland would fight back with a pair of goals from Drawk Corps Riley Fields putting Turori in the hole at half time.

The Eels would make a change in goal at the break with Amatopa jamming a finger in the first half and coming off out of an abundance of caution to be replaced by Terasin Moravuao. The Eelandii Academy would have a strong performance making a couple of key early saves to keep Turori in the match. They would prove to be important when Turori began fighting back on the hour mark, Jungle Strike FC's Nua'oma Aikiki firing across the face of goal outside of the reach of the Graintfjall based netminder and into the back of the net, levelling the scores.

With the Almintora National Stadium buzzing and the momentum in their favor following the Aikiki equalizer, the Eels would keep up the pressure and within 10 minutes would re-take the lead. After a hopeful shot from substitute Tsinuzpa Rana'aiao was punched out for a corner kick by Mullis, the resultign corner was taken by Cuoabaza Orani'aoa and set up perfectly for defender Karek Edgeli to deliver the aerial goal.

With a 3-2 lead, Turori settled in to absorb the ensuing pressure from the Drawk Corps - trying to retain as much possession as possible and limit quality chances that Drawkland could fire at the Eels inexperienced netminder. As the match wound down the Eels would give their fans a treat for the road when H'munao Cagomia intercepted after Drawkland had pressed forward for an equalizer then lobbed a 40 yard shot with Mullins well out of position. It still required excellent placement from Cagomia but the ball found its way to the back of the net doubling the Eels advantage and securing three points in an important Group 5 clash.

Eelandii is accessible by air through the Almintora Internationstatal Skyport (AIS). Regular shuttles and public transportation run between Almintora, Eelandii and Cednia with an increase in services during active sporting events. Monorail services exist throughout Eelandii to connect fans to the different sporting venues as well as local lodging and eateries. As the Eelandii Sporting Village is not an officially populated city or community, all security within the "Sportropolis" is private in nature with company and independently hired security patrolling the region. However, law enforcement officials from both Almintora and Cednia have jurisdiction within Eelandii if they were otherwise in the area. The weather in Eelandii is mostly temperate with the chance of temperatures permitting naturally occurring snow considered as highly unlikely. Athletes and Staff typically stay directly in Eelandii while Media and Fans often stay nearby in Almintora, the Capital City of Turori, or Cednia home of the popular Cednia Beach tourist destination.

Eelandii has a number of restaurants, shops and amenities which typically are only open on match days as well as a smaller selection of local eateries that are open on a daily basis to serve the towns full time employees and visitors which include Football Association of Turori, Eagle's Club as well as visitors to the Race Eelandii! Racing School and Driving Experience at the Eelandii Grand Prix Course.

Stadium & Tenant History :: Constructed by the Football Association of Turori, The Eels Park site was a critical component of the successful World Cup 63 host bid for Aguazul and Turori which eventually resulted in the World Cup returning to Turori for the first time since World Cup 19. Once the Eels Park site was complete, the Football Association of Turori packed their things and moved out of their offices at the Almintora National Stadium. The Arena also hosted matches during the 26th Di Bradini Cup and due to its moderate size is one of the most atmospheric venues in all of Turori. Turorian National Team matches not being held in Cednia have also been held at Eels Park instead of Almintora National Stadium. Located equidistantly between the cities of Almintora and Cednia - the two largest cities in the Island Emirate, round the clock public transportation can take guests from Eelandii to either city center.

Due to its proximity to the Eagle's Club in Eelandii, Turori, Eels Park has regularly been used as a final venue for the Eagle's Cup having hosted the competition on five different occasions. Eels Park was also a host venue for the XIV Winter Olympic Games hosting select games of the Bandy Demonstration Event of which the Sportropolis of Eelandii was the hub of competition. Eels Park also hosted events during the AOlympic Games including the final round of the Atlantian Oceania Motorsports Championships. One famous recent matchup at the venue came during World Cup 88 Qualifying. While the 4-1 victory over Hisipinas was ultimately inconsequential for the Eels it was the achievement of a record fifteen consecutive victories and the home celebrations on the day which would be remembered by Eels fans fondly - even if over shadowed later in that cycle by the Turori National Team's first ever World Cup Title.

In the midst of the socioeconomic challenges faced by Southern Brusseldorf in the 1990s, the town of Al-Hassadiq stood as a microcosm of the hardships endured by native Moroccans. Once a bustling mining town, Al-Hassadiq and its kin witnessed a sharp decline in the industry, leading to widespread unemployment and a sense of abandonment.

With the mining industry looking increasingly unsustainable, white Belgian and German migrants who had sought opportunity in the south gradually departed, leaving behind a predominantly Moroccan population. Due to the typically lower income of native Moroccan families in the region, many were left financially isolated, struggling to make ends meet. The town's once-thriving economy crumbled, and with it, the dreams and aspirations of many Moroccan families who had settled there.

Pejanggik or Pejanggik Kingdom was an early Sakanese Sanatana Dharmic kingdom located in Cendana Islands. With the scarce evidence of the kingdom, it was hard to identified it further. Many of the texts about the kingdom was from notes from Campuan Kingdom or its predecessor Tegeh Kori. Both were known to engaged in trade with Pejanggik. While excavation around Janapria municipality only found a few findings.

History

Based on a trade manuscript from Campuan Kingdom, Pejanggik is believed to be located at the present day Janapria municipality in Praya Province, Cakranegara. The kingdom was the source of honey, sandalwood and textile which become their main trade commodities. In one manuscript, it was mentioned that King of Pejanggik, Kabangdala, sent a gift to Campuan King as a sign of friendship and the acceptance of Campuan suzerainty. The manuscript dated 814 Saka (892 AD). Later manuscripts only mentioned about the trade deal between both kingdoms. Manuscript from Tegeh Kori dated 31 Pawukon (1011 AD) mentioned about Pejanggik vast domain in Cendana Islands. It was also mentioned the kingdom's controlled of trade in the islands.

In 406 Pawukon (late 1227 AD), the note from Tegeh Kori mentioned about a huge volcanic eruption in Cendana Islands. The eruption was coming from Mount Samalas who located off the shore of Pejanggik center. This catastrophic event was believed to have caused the kingdom's sudden missing from their neighbor's notes and manuscript in the later years. The eruption buried the kingdom with their ashes. Buildings and the people were believed to be burned because of the pyroclastic cloud that swept away Praya Island where the capital was located.

Legacy

The researcher and archeologists are still excavated the area around Janapria Municipality which is believed to be the center of the ancient Pejanggik Kingdom. There is also a village in the municipality who is name Pejanggik possibly referring to the ancient kingdom's location. Oral story about a great kingdom there still be told to younger generation and it is become somewhat of a folklore.

A neglected cemetery was found in Serewa village, Janapria municipality. The cemetery is believed by the local to be the cemetery of Pejanggik Royal Family.

Tegeh Kori Kingdom (Girinese: Puri Agung Tegeh Kori) was a Girinese Sanatana Dharmic kingdom located in Majegau Islands from 976 - 1351 AD. In its greatest extent, the kingdom covering Majegau Islands, present-day Cakranegara (except Praya Island and part of Selaparang provinces), Gili Anakan, Gili Tangkong, Jading, northern part of Sambojo Island, Mitra and Soma Island. The capital of the kingdom was less than 5 kilometers east of Campuhan Kingdom's capital. The monarch was a continuation from Campuhan's Kenceng Dynasty.

Etymologi

The name Tegeh Kori derives from Girinese words Tegeh and Kori. Tegeh means high, it is also believe that the name was taken from the founder of the kingdom, Ki Arya Tegeh. Kori is the word referring to the grandiose gate which usually placed at the inner wall of a palace or temple as oppose to Candi Bentar or a split gate which use as the gate in the outer wall. The name can be translated as 'The high grandiose gate'. A speculation arise in the modern days after a claim from an unknown branch of Tegeh Kori dynasty, Benculuk. They claim that the real name is not Tegeh Kori but Tegeh Kuri. Based on their own chronicle, Babad Benculuk, their ancestor was from Tegeh Kuri dynasty which founded by the grandson of Ki Kedaung Kerta who loved to climb at the back of his grandfather hence he was nicknamed as Ki Tegeh Kuri (Kuri means 'from the back' in Girinese). This claimed however was dismissed by the current monarch and the secretary of the Royal Family. But their statement is still believed by the Benculuk clan.

History

The establishment of Tegeh Kori Kingdom was intersect with the end of Campuan Kingdom. The founder, Ki Arya Tegeh was actually the grandson of Campuan's last king, Ki Kedaung Kerta from his daughter. After a matrilineal marriage known locally as Sentana or Nyentana, Princess Nyi Ayu Padmi, Kedaung Kerta's daughter, was legally able to take the throne from her father and it ultimately end the succession crisis happening at the time. However, after Princess Ayu Padmi delivered a baby boy, she denounced her rights to the throne and gave it to her son instead. And after Ki Kedaung Kerta death, Ki Arya Tegeh, Princess Ayu Padmi's son officially become the king.

Ki Arya Tegeh decided to start a new kingdom and abandoning Campuhan Palace. He moved eastward and build his own palace. He called the new palace Puri Agung Tegeh Kori hence the Tegeh Kori Kingdom was started. While his mother stayed in Campuhan Palace.

Age of Ki Arya Tegeh

According to Babad Tegeh Kori, Tegeh Kori Chronicle, Ki Arya Tegeh rule in a peaceful time. The uprising following the succession crisis of Campuhan had subside with his coronation. He made a drastic decision in 915 Saka (993 AD) where he announced the use of Pawukon calendar was the official calendar of the kingdom. Thus ultimately ended the use of Saka calendar. The king continue a good relation with its neighboring kingdoms especially Meilawati in the west, Pejanggik in the south and other small kingdoms around them.

Age of Ki Jati Larang

Ki Jati Larang was the third king of Tegeh Kori. During his reigned, Tegeh Kori started its expansion era. He succeed to controlled the whole Majegau Islands and contested Pejanggik influence in Cendana Islands. He also created a non aggression pact with Meilawati Empire hence he focused his expansion eastward.

Age of Ki Sura Lawa

Ki Sura Lawa was the sixth king of Tegeh Kori. Under his reigned, the kingdom reached its peak. The kingdom success to take over Pejanggik controlled in Cendana Islands. Pejanggik even accept Tegeh Kori's suzerainty which make Pejanggik become their vassal. Pejanggik controlled area was reduced significantly at the time. Despite a mostly peaceful era, Religious Uprising was happening during his reign.

Religious Uprising or Paksa Amuk (175-180 Pawukon, 1094-1097 AD) was a widespread clashes and demonstration by the religious sects followers. After the coming and the widespread of Sanatana Dharma believe in Majegau Islands, 9 different sects were established; Siwa Sidhanta, Pasupata, Bhairawa, Waisnawa, Bodha (Sogatha), Brahmana, Resi, Sora Surya and Ganapatya. Siwa Sidhanta had the largest followers at the time. And these sects followers continue to clashes with each other because of their faith as they believe that their sects was the best of them all. Conversion between sects followers was happened rapidly which also fueled these clashes. And it was culminated at 175 Pawukon (1094 AD) into an open war. Ki Sura Lawa asked for a help from Mpu Tuduh, a renowned high priest at the time. Mpu Tuduh gather all the sects leaders and resolved the situation. The gathering produce a resolution of the establishment a unified sect unique to Tegeh Kori itself. This new believe was then known as Dharma Tirtha. This believe worship the Tri Murthi (Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva) with Shiva regarded as the greatest of all. This is why Pemecutan's Dharma Tirtha is categorized as Shivaism.

Age of Ki Angga Bayu and the Start of Cempaga Dynasty

Was the twelfth king of Tegeh Kori. Little was known about the king except for his madness over having an heir. As Tegeh Kori using an agnatic primogeniture, only male eldest son who can inherit the throne. And the queen had repeatedly conceived and delivered a baby girl. The king had 5 daughters from his queen making them to be nickname as Panca Pandawa Luh (Female Pandava, in reference to the Pandava in Mahabharata epics). But he had a son from his concubines. However, the succession law prevent a concubine son to take the throne. Patih Agung at the time suggest to use a similar solution as his ancestor, Ki Kedaung Kerta did. But the King reluctant to do so. He was then decided to adopted one son from the concubine as the son of the Queen. The Queen and and Jero Cempaga, the concubine were unwilling to do so but the King forced them to. A new law was passed to let the son of Jero Cempaga be adopted by the Queen and was regarded as the son of the Queen. The son was name Ki Damar Sakti.

Ki Damar Sakti rise to the throne after the death of his father. After finding out about his true origin, Ki Damar Sakti officially use his birth mother title name as his dynastic name. This is marked the beginning of Cempaga Dynasty.

Decline

The rise of Cempaga Dynasty was seen as the decline of Tegeh Kori Kingdom. A son of a concubine becoming a King was frowned upon by the noblemen. Many uprising were happening across the nation. While the rise of Muslim kingdom, Bojo Sultanate in Cendana Islands, contested Tegeh Kori existence in the southeast. Another succession crisis occur during the reigned of Ki Dauh Satya as both of his sons were eyeing for the throne. Ki Karang Arum as the eldest felt that he was destined to be the king because he is the eldest son. But his little brother, Ki Alit Jambe felt that he was more capable than his older brother to succeed his father. The noblemen were also split in this situation. They were taking sides between the two princes. Elsewhere, the King himself was fond of the son of his late younger brother, Ki Banyu Linggih. He saw a great man and great leader in him. He secretly wanted Ki Banyu Linggih to succeed him despite the law would forbid that to happened.

The situation worsen after the King passed away in 615 Pawukon (1348 AD). The two princes fought for the throne in a succession war. Ki Banyu Linggih then interfere which escalated the scale of the war. The war was unresolved as heavy casualties happened in all 3 sides. The princes then meet together in Kubayan village, present-day Peguyangan, where the last battle was fought. They decided to split the kingdom into 3 petty kingdoms with Ki Karang Arum become the Paramount King.

Legacy

Pawukon calendar is still in use until this day as the official calendar of the country. The decision to use the calendar back then is also seen as a way to honor the local knowledge as ancient Girinese people is also have the ability to create its own calendar system. Although it is agreed by researchers that Pawukon calendar is very complex.

Tegeh Kori Palace is still standing today, although not in its full form. The inner palace was burned down during the independence war. The outer palace known today as Jayasabha Hall is use as the official residence of Pemecutan Patih Agung and Patih Madya, the co-Prime Ministers of Pemecutan. The name of Tegeh Kori is also use for several buildings and other institution such as Tegeh Kori National Stadium, Tegeh Kori Sports Complex, a football club based in the city, PSTK Tegeh Kori, Tegeh Kori University, etc.

The location of the meeting between Mpu Tuduh and the 9 sect leaders is transform into Pura Samuan Tiga (Samuan Tiga Temple). It is one of the most important temple in Pemecutan, especially residence of Giri Island besides Pura Basuki and Pura Ulun Pacung.

The application of Dharma Tirtha is also changing the face of Pemecutan Pakraman. Pura Kahyangan Tiga is introduced and have to be build within a Pakraman as a place to worship the Tri Murthi. Pura Kahyangan Tiga (Kahyangan Tiga Temple) consist of Pura Desa (Desa/Village Temple) located at the center of Pakraman and a place to worship God Brahma; Pura Puseh (Puseh Temple) located at the upper or north of the Pakraman, usually near a water springs and water source, it is a place to worship God Vishnu; and lastly Pura Dalem (Dalem Temple) located at the lower or southern part of the Pakraman usually near the village's cemetery, it is a place to worship God Shiva.

Another addition to the Pakraman is the introduce of Catuspatha concept. The Catuspatha (Grand Junction) is a main crossroad usually located at the heart of a Pakraman where Pura Desa is located. This junction is believe to have a high energy within a Pakraman. A catuspatha is usually use for a big ceremony such as piodalan or caru agung. Piodalan is a holy ceremony for the blessing of a place such as a house, an office, a shop, a temple and even for the whole village. Caru Agung is a holy ceremony to cleanse the place from negative vibes spread by the Butha (ghosts or demons). The ceremony give an offerings to the Butha so they won't interfering human's world.

Banija cruising through World Cup Qualifying, continue perfect start with 21 points earned from 21 possible

DODOMA, BUNYORO REGION- Nothing is promised in World Cup Qualifying. Just look at Nyowani Kitara- ranked 10th in the multiverse, quite comfortably in Pot 1 for Qualifiers. They are absolutely blowing all advantages people thought they had, having earned only 6 points through 6 matches- enough for 'in case of emergency, break glass'. "We know that in World Cup Qualifying, things can change in a hurry." Pam Scott told reporters. "The World Cup isn't promised to anybody- this nation knows that better than anyone. We've got to earn our way back, and thankfully, we're playing some pretty damn good football to do just that this cycle."

The Kadongo Kamu have raced off to a perfect start in this group, sitting at 7-0-0 through the first third of World Cup Qualifying. The toughest contest, of course, was a tight, 1-nil win over Mytanija, with Sarafina Ikpeazu turning back the clock in her first (and so far, only) start of World Cup Qualifying, earning 'man of the match' honors alongside scoring the game's only goal. But while we sit at 7-0-0, it doesn't mean that everything is perfect, or even smooth sailing- nope, we've certainly had our fair share of challenges, but we've overcome them.

Matchday 6 saw us have an extremely tough away day against Josifovo. The only match so far in Qualifying, where, for a majority of the game, we were mostly on the back foot. We are used to opponents sitting in a low block, and us having to break them down. But for them to take the game to us- it's rare at this stage, but we were being outplayed, thoroughly, for the first hour. Many thought that this was going to be the opportunity for a nation to deliver us not only our first dropped points of the campaign, but our first L of the campaign.

Jasmin Bajramović had a great opportunity at the end of the first half. Luboobi had an extremely poor clearance attempt at a cross from a Josifovo winger, and the ball landed right at the feet of Jasmin Bajramović. Too excited, however- with the goal gaping, Jasmin put their foot through the ball but got too much power behind it, skying it above the crossbar from about 10 yards away. "Look- we were lucky that Bajramović didn't blast the roof off of the Stadion Ljubco Savevski." Pam Scott said after the match. "That goal would have been well deserved, and changed the complexion of the game- I'm not sure, on this night, if we could have recovered from that."

Sometimes, of course, it's not about being dominant. Getting a little bit lucky always helps. And then, of course, individual skill. A late tackle in the box saw Bbale Luboobi get his second yellow of the match, and a penalty given to Josifovo. What a brilliant opportunity to take the lead. But Hebron Rao has established herself as a worthy successor to Wanda Kouyate, the three-level world champion. Pece Trajkovski stepped up to the spot to take the penalty for the home team. He went to the keeper's left, but Rao got their first, making a brilliant save. That gave energy and life to the Banijans, and we were finally able to really get some attack going.

But we said sometimes it's about individual skill? This Banijan team has some top-level talent, including a Testiculo Player of the Year winner. A long, aerial through ball from Oguta Achuka- and a brilliant Wesoloski-Okafor volley from the 18. Took the wind out of the sails of the crowd- and then, this team's skill came in, with a brilliant Opio Ssambwa goal just 5 minutes later killing off the match in the 84th minute. "These types of games are always going to be the fun ones- can never complain. But a win is a win, and we're certainly excited about that." She told reporters.

Brenecia 1-2 The Jovannic: Emperors take home three points against struggling Brenecia side

The Jovannic would take on a Brenecia side currently ranked 12th in the world for their 5th match of the season, and bring further misery to their already struggling qualifying season with a dominant 2-1 win.

The Crown Row was a rather unique looking stadium located in Rozelle, and it indeed has an awe-inspiring exterior. However, the atmosphere inside was rather dull; the stadium had so far hosted 2 away matches that each resulted in a 1-0 loss for the home side, with Cap Nord and East Barrack and West Obama taking the spoils. Nevertheless, the Brenecian elites made themselves heard through their chants and the waving wall of black and white, while the section of orange stripped up along the opposite stand were singing up a storm.

Cox made played almost the same full strength eleven that started the first three matchdays, and only made the singular change of Gotors Harfa in place of Centreback Fertieas Pasti. A starter during the last DBC, he was replaced in favour of George Sim, who Cox preferred in his 3-2 structure for his greater flexibility going forward and well rounded abilities when covering the left side. Harfa was known to have the best standing tackle in the squad while also not being able to contribute much in terms of aerial ability despite his decent height, and his inclusion eluded to the Jovannican gameplan of keeping the ball firmly on the ground.

Brenecia were used to playing rather defensively and preferred to utilise a low backline. As such, the Emperors found no problem maintaining possession around the back, and used their time on the ball to find spaces in the Brenecian defence they could exploit.

The game would be decided by two quickfire goals, the first in the 28th by an incisive pass into the box from Barella Lee, picking out opposite winger Hashan Redder within the 6 yard box. Just six minutes later, a string of Jovannican passes saw Juyt Dersa take a scorching effort from the edge of the box that crashed into the top left corner. The pair of Juyt Dersa and Huli Maringar was at their best that day, causing substantial problems to the Brenecian backline. Maringar was unlucky not to get a goal himself with a half volley that was barely tipped over by Cessair Meade.

The Brenecians were not 12th ranked merely by chance however, and quickly adapted to better deal with Jovannic advances, although Cox seemed to have laid off a bit once they had achieved the two goal cushion. The Jovannic would perform tremendously well in possession throughout the game, somewhat frustrating the home side who had looked to recover ground quickly.

Brenecia had a lifeline through a remarkable goal from the well built central attacking midfielder Alaoise Rourke 7 minutes before the end of regulation time, but the Emperors held fast, and Jerrett Toi produced yet another remarkable performance to bring the away side to a 4 game unbeaten streak.

"A brilliant game, one of our best so far I think." Captain Twater Harring would state. "We're in a great position right now, and we'll look to putting in these performances."

Cox shared a similar sentiment, but also addressed concerns about defensive solidity. After all, the Emperors are yet to keep a clean sheet.

"We aren't doing badly relative to our ranking. Perhaps we could be a little bit less leaky at the back, but I think it isn't a huge concern; we haven't been crushed, which is a positive considering how a lot of the teams we're facing are 100, 200 rankings above us."

The Jovannic will next face 33rd ranked Eura, who drew Saterun 1-1 in a hard fought of two closely matched sides.

Jovannica P-Class House Prices fall for first time in 2 years: NDA flash estimates

P-Class home prices in Jovannica City fell for the first time in 2 years, dropping by 0.3 percent in the second quarter of this year, according to flash estimates released by the National Development Authority (NDA) on Monday.

(P-Class Homes refer to properties in non-apartment format [Terrence Styles, Bungalows] situated on Freehold land.)

On a quarter-on-quarter basis, the index fell by 0.3 per cent in the second quarter following a 2.3 per cent gain in the previous quarter.

The fall in prices comes after several rounds of property cooling measures since early last year, including the latest increase in Residential stamp duty (RSD) which was implemented in April.

"The property market is an area of action and reaction. We will continue to keep tabs on the region, and adjust our policies as necessary," said Head Gouvernorat of Jovannica City Province Jewitt Carter in a press interview on Monday.

The "surprise decline" in property prices could be due to developers pricing their launches sensitively with affordability in mind after the cooling measures, said Joseph Reid, CEO of Escaden AO. He also noted that there were slightly fewer high-profile deals above $8 million after the cooling measures.

"It is also possible that new buyers were also affected by higher borrowing costs as interest rates remain elevated."

FALL IN A-CLASS PROPERTY PRICES

The prices of A-Class properties fell by 0.7 per cent in the second quarter, a reversal from the 2.0 per cent increase in the previous quarter.

(A-Class homes refer to Apartment format properties situated on government land or land under 99-999 year leases.)

The decline was mainly driven by properties in the South-west Region (SWR), where prices fell by 3.4 per cent compared with a 2.1 per cent increase in the previous quarter.

The pace of increase in the Downtown Region (DR) moderated to 0.2 per cent, from the 0.7 per cent increase in the previous quarter.

While the sale transaction volume increased by about 18 per cent on a quarter-on-quarter basis amid a rise in the number of units launched for sale, it fell by about 20 per cent on a year-on-year basis, said NDA.

Following the cooling measures, the number of purchases by foreigners reduced significantly this quarter, said Mr Reid.

"Based on caveats, there are 75 purchases by foreigners which translate to 3.0 per cent of total non-landed transactions." This is a "significant drop" specifically if compared to 131 last quarter, he noted.

The number of purchases by Permanent Residents increased to 14.9 per cent this quarter compared to 14.3 per cent just a few months prior, he added.

OUTLOOK

Barring a unprecedented economic downturn or other unpredicted multiversal events, buying activities may continue in the second half of this year as more projects are slated for launch, said Mr Reid.

With more launches in the pipeline, the market is on track to sell around 9,000 units with prices increasing up to 5 per cent in 2023, noted Mr Reid.

While the resale condominium market is seeing slower activities in the second quarter as some buyers stayed out because of the high interest rate, he stated it should continue to see healthy demand from A-Class upgraders and those who would prefer to move in fast.

The higher interest rate may put a cap on transaction volume to an estimated 11,500 units in 2023, he added.

"It may take a few more months before the full effects of the cooling measures can be observed."

Written as part of the Favt Collection, this saga retells the legendary, somewhat exaggerated tale of Emperor Ralastan and his campaigns against the Yaety peoples and other opposing kingships north of the Jovannic at the time. Note its particularly nationalist overtones and prejudiced language, as this excerpt is from a poem in style of traditional old Jovannican battle poetry. (Further analysis will be done in part II).

Vsirw is an old Jovannican word that has a meaning roughly similar to "The illegitimate offspring of worms".

Saying that the Jaguars of TJUN-ia haven't had the best of starts to this WC94 Qualifying campaign would be the understatement of the decade. 1 win in our first 5 games certainly wasn't a good thing for a team with aspirations of making it back to the WC Finals and everyone knew that - including David Seems, Li Xiu Ying, Captain Kim Choi-ya and everyone in the setup. They all knew that this start was shit, that it certainly wasn't going to cut it in the race to make the WC again, and they promised the fans across TJUN-ia that "things would get better or [we] would die trying". It certainly was a passionate promise for a team like ours to be made, but could they keep up their end of the bargain?

Up first was the Kingdom of Castille, a team who came through this cycle's Baptism of Fire. Manuel Rodríguez would lead Castille FC to Tallawah Stadium in Port Town, looking to take advantage of a stumbling Jagaurs to claim their first WCQ win. Unfortunately for them, they caught us just as we got back into gear, which would show in the final score. TJUN-ia wanted nothing more than a fortnight with no drama and no pain - and it started on the right track, with a brace from Malhrani al-Kalhrani (16th and 28th minutes) and a header from Yomakaji Shimigatsu in the 43rd giving us a healthy 3-0 lead to take into the changing rooms. Castille FC would get a goal back in the 50th thanks to David Morales but that would be the only joy our Castillian opponents got as 2nd-half goals from Max van Oosterend and substitute Fernandino sealed the deal on a 5-1 triumph at home.

Then we headed out to New Logan Stadium, a place that hasn't seen an international in 60 years(!), in order to face the Ice Birds of the returning Torisakia. Virgil Holland's defensive outfit has done quite well so far, actually being ahead of us on the day of the game, but once the match got underway, the distance in quality between ourselves and our hosts was clear to see. We simply did what we needed to do in this game with Jackson Smith-Scott striking 1st blood in the 4th minute of the game, setting the tone for what was to come. Yomakaji Shimigatsu headed home a FK by Max van Oosterend to take a 2-0 lead into HT and then we finished the job in the 77th when Fernandino struck home. We did what we needed to do - which was nice, for once!

Two wins out of 2 means we're now up to 5th in the table and 9 points off the lead - not perfect, but certainly a lot better than where we were before. “Well, I have a question actually, seeing as I’m here.”

The windowless room went silent, and fourteen pairs of eyes looked up in confused anticipation. Suddenly, all thoughts of a quick Friday afternoon mid-meeting nap (which all would have mentally pencilled in when this meeting request had landed in their inboxes) were gone; the Secretary General hardly ever attended these things, let alone spoke at them. It was widely understood that he didn’t particularly care for sport at all. True, there was that time he walked around in an Agheim CF scarf, but politicians say and do lots of things during election campaigns. His insistence on international sport being a big part of the Federal borders opening up – the so-called ‘Antifreeze Directive’ – had thus far been assumed by those present to be nothing more than part of his belief that the Multiverse had been starved of Valhallan superiority.

This was, in fact, the first time he’d attended a meeting between VFA and government ministers in several months, but if fourteen pairs of eyes had looked surprised when his entourage had appeared at the VFA buildings and he’d walked into the meeting room, it was nothing compared to how they were looking at him now.

He fiddled with the name badge that a nervous intern had printed and given to him before the meeting, somewhat comically adhering to the conventions and tasks laid out for her by the office staff, and continued to look around the room. Every member of the assembly felt the interrogative effects of his ice blue eyes. Like arctic hares in the proverbial headlights of the projector that arced above their heads onto the wall above the door, everyone froze.

Nobody spoke.

“I’ll take that continued silence as a ‘yes, Sir’, then, shall I?” he said brusquely, arching one eyebrow and leaning forwards in his seat.

“Er, yes, Sir. Obviously. By all means, your, your... erm. Excellency?” stammered Hugo Haapsalu, the Chair of the VFA National Teams Performance Committee and ostensibly the person in charge of the meeting until fairly recently.

“Just, ‘Sir’, is fine. Thank you.” replied Lund, trying not to make it obvious how much he enjoyed that his mere presence could still have that effect on a man of Hugo’s size and stature.

“What’s your question, Sir?” asked the considerably less sweaty and far more composed Hanne Jansen; one of the few attendees at the meeting that Lund recognised. As a junior minister in the Executive for Sport and Culture, as well as sitting on one of the many cross-ministry committees tasked with national identity in the light of the Antifreeze Directive, she was also one of the few attendees who could have guessed the content of the question...

“This Miroshnichenko guy,” said Lund, well aware he had the full attention of everyone there, and enjoying it, “are we satisfied he’s doing a good job?”

“Oh, yes,” continued Haapsalu enthusiastically, “I mean, yes Sir. Very happy. That was the next point on the agenda, in fact. If we could move forwards to slide eighteen, Samantha? I-“

“Okay sure, but off the record. Outside of a meeting in which you’re laying the preliminaries for your boss asking the Federal Government for more money, Mr Haapsalu...”

Haapsalu gulped slightly, and then continued, “okay, sure. But... still. Very happy.”

“These are expected results?”

“Better than expected, I’d argue!”

“And the fans, they’re happy?”

“Oh, yes!”

“Fully happy?” pressed Lund, continuing to work the poor man over with his stare and entirely prepared to do so until he got the response he was looking for.

“Well, a last minute win against Brenecia?” said Haapsalu, counting on his fingers, “A last minute draw against Eura? That thrilling comeback win against Lisander just last night? I mea-“

“Forgive me, Mr Haapsalu, for my field is slightly different to the one your employees play on, but if I was ever in a position to be ‘celebrating’ a comeback win, I would be far more concerned with asking why we were so behind in the polls to begin with to enjoy my sparkling wine.”

Silence.

“I didn’t become Secretary General by allowing others to take the initiative,” continued Lund whilst Haapsalu looked around, slightly confused, “you’re telling me the fans are happy to fall behind so often?”

“I mean, nobody enjoys conceding goals, Sir, no, but this is football! Er, with respect I mean, this is football. Sir. Last minute wins are like... like bread and butter to the fan! They are the moments you reme-“

“I was there at the Nasjonale, Mr Haapslu. Against Cassadaigua.” Again, Lund ruthlessly interrupted the poor man. “You would do well not to lie to me.”

“Er... okay.” Stammered Haapsalu. “The fans are used to a more, shall we say, swashbuckling, brand of football from the Terns, yes. They aren’t always entirely on board with the tactics used by Miroshnichenko, no. But his tactical adjustments once in losing positions against these much mor experienced teams. They’re to be applauded.”

“Hm.” Said Lund, letting his unconvinced facial expression do the talking for him.

Across the room, Jansen cleared her throat.

“And these adjustments, they’re all his decision?” she asked.

“Well, I think he’s encouraged into some of them by his assistant, Aalto,” explained Haapsalu casually, “but I thi-“

“I see,” interrupted Lund again, “well, thank you for your help Mr Haapsalu. For an old man, uneducated in such matters as I am, it has been most valuable.”

“But I haven’t f-“

“I think I will leave you to have the rest of your meeting in peace,” smiled Lund as he made to get up, “I fear further exposition to benefit myself only would only slow you down, and I would be loathe to inadvertently be a roadblock to Valhallan advancements, whatever the field.”

Haapsalu smiled weakly as Lund stood up, but before he could turn the corner of the meeting table to reach the side of the room with the door, a man from the opposite side of the table stood up, coughed slightly, and threw his name tag on the table.

“Excuse me; comfort break.” Mumbled the man, frowning as he left the room and allowed the door to shut behind him with an awkwardly drawn out squeak.

Lund looked down at the name tag.

‘Iosef Miroshnichenko’.

Oops.

He looked at Jansen. She shrugged her eyebrows, almost imperceptibly. Lund thought for a second. He had had no idea. Clearly, he should pay more attention to Samantha’s name badges next time. An unintended consequence, no doubt, but he immediately felt confident that it would be a useful one.

Lund smiled all the way home in the back of his limo. The next domino was teetering, ready to topple.

And so it was that, three days later, in a room that nobody would ever admit existed, four young people, the providence of whose paycheques was a masterpiece of misdirection and accounting, received their next set of instructions by encoded e-mail.

The absorbed it, wiped their hands on their shabby clothes, leaned over their computer keyboards, surrounded by junk food wrappers, and began typing feverishly.

Colonies in Juvencus

Juvencus has a deep and rich colonial history stemming from the times way before its own unification. The Juven Entities' naval prowess was strong and had far-flung colonies in places such as Montagnaverde or Al Qurija, oftentimes subjugating these societies until the early 20th century, quite a bit after unification. And while these colonies managed to achieve independence, the influence of Pomena itself is still strong and felt in such regions due to large Juven minorities in both nations. Around 40% of Montiverdi, equating to 26 million people and around 4 million Qurijans, equating to 25% of the population hold positions of significant power and influence and can still sway the decisions of the big leaders in a heartbeat. Besides these societies however, Juven people and Juvencus itself have for a long time also the ability to colonise different far-flung planets in different locations across the multiverse, through the miracles of portal travelling.

One such location is known as Colonia de Justicia. Located... somewhere that cannot be pinpointed in a map of the multiverse as it currently stands. Colonia de Justicia is essentially considered a very isolated habitable planet, in fact the only planet in its system. It is a planet with not many landmasses in a giant archipelago, used mostly for tourism, agriculture & fishing as well as extracting valuable ores from the ground.

It is split into 3 zones, each with its basic economic usage and where they all meet is the city of Colonia de Justicia itself. The whole colony has a population of 2.5 million peope of which 1.8 million live in the city itself and its metropolitan area, while the rest are split in all sorts of villages, smaller towns and camps on their way to explore the planet and extract the most out of it for their own benefit and the benefit of Juvencus as a whole. The city itself is pretty prosperous and a hub for education especially in the human sciences with many philosophers, sociologists, political and religious leaders spawning out of it to spread their ideals to the rest of the society.

While the city of Colonia de Justicia is prosperous, corruption is a well-known problem in the rest of the colony though, being much less economically advanced in comparison to the city itself as well as the mainland, even less so the further away from Colonia de Justicia's metropolitan area. This has led to banditry of the old wild west style mixed with the 21st century. Several cartels control large swathes of land and force people to pay massive sums in order to move along from place to place or even to their jobs and that has hindered the advancement of the areas outside the main city itself. Shootings are commonplace in places in the middle of nowhere and it is not uncommon to find random graves as well as graveyards in the emptiest places of the colony, giving it a grim look.

A war between the police department of the city and the different cartels has been ongoing for the past 35 years now, without much effect or change. This has led to an armed population trying to take matters in their own hands. While gun ownership is legal in Juvencus after extensive mental background check regardless of gender, the colony enjoys an exemption of free-ranging gun ownership for everyone over the age of 16 with preference for males over females owning guns. While this has reduced crime and surprisingly, shootings, within the capital, the situation far away from it is still a matter of emergency but with some hope ahead.

Whether or not this gets resolved? We don't know.

The Huuhkajat of Kimi-Suomi entered the first bye of the tournament with the mindset of "Kolme pistettä on kolme pistettä" in full effect. Three out of 4 wins to start a campaign was certainly a good start to this long road and long battle for the golden gates itself, but Esko Laaksonen wasn't taking anything for granted at all. Sure, it was a good start, but he knew that this process can bit people in the ass whenever it wants to and so, he knew he had to be mentally resilient and ready for anything. We started off so well...but could that continue?

Up first was the visit of Sinyal, or "Ei Kreikka" as many called them, and this game ended up being more chaotic than anyone could've expected. Of course, nobody was underestimating the BoF runner-up side and we knew that Theodore Lukas was going to be up for this fight, but I don't think anyone really expected just how much of a fight the Crusaders gave us. We took the lead initially through Valtteri Nordström in the 23rd minute but Alic Vasily would respond in the 36th. The 2nd half would see Mika Noronen retaking the lead for us in the 56th but once again, Vasily provided the response in the 67th. The remainder of this game would be tight as all hell but in the end, someone had to produce a dagger - and in the 89th, his name was Elex Angell. We lost at the death....and Pesä was stunned.

Then we had to immediately pick ourselves up before we made the trip to the Federal Stadium in Kambang to play Teuku Irfan and the Rice Farmers of Sendhang. We knew we entering a tough environment out there and that would be proved in the overall play, with both teams having good chances but no goals to speak of. Peter Nurmi and Albertus Wageo were very busy in this game and they certainly were the MVPs overall, despite the best efforts of Kimi Airo and Teuku Salahudin, so with that in mind, a 0-0 draw seemed fair enough. We got 9 points from 9 to start with - the next 9 available produced only 1 point to our tally.

We've hit a bit of a nosedive and as a result, we are now 4th in the table - 11 down on the runaway leaders but only 3 down on the battle for 2nd. Next up will be a big big BIG game as leaders Tikariot make the trip to Pesä in the 1st Pöllöjen Taistelu, Snowy Owls vs Huuhkajat, before we head out to face Devontan Yhdysvallat [United States of Devonta] on the road. We need to be ready for everything, ready to claw and slash for every point we can get...especially against the Pot 2 team. NOSTA KUIN HUUHKAJAT!

The Empress Lathwen Raynor and her consort of Faeron Soldarian have been married for near on six years now and the question had began to be on the lips of the aristocracy of the Empire, when might a successor to the Empress be had? The elves that remained had already the Raynors fall off the throne once in their lifetimes and they were not in the want to do so again, for it seemed as long as a Raynor sat upon the throne of the Empire, the Empire itself seemed to flourish. As a result of the prosperity often seen by the Raynors upon the throne of the Empire, as well as the stalwart defense of her lands and people when times of crisis did arise and beset her, there was a superstition that had taken root in parts of the Empire that the fate of the Empire was entwined with the fate of the Raynors. As long as the family remained powerful and in power, then so to the Empire would do so, perhaps a reason why there was a major lack of any sort of contesting to Lathwen's claim to the throne after the death of Emperor Hector, who had been elected as the Emperor falling the previous Raynor monarch having departed during the Calling.

Elves are not a species known for excessive breeding though, it had taken thousands of years for the population to have reached in the upwards millions as it had been the last Calling removed a significant portion of that population from the lands of the Empire. Current census estimates put the Elven population somewhere in the twenty to thirty thousand range, the once dominant and prevailing species in the Empire now one of the more rare. Only the dragonkin who dwell in the mountains are a more rare sight and their shunning of what most humanoid species would call civilization makes it difficult to even truly know how small or great their population numbers might be, though most experts suggest that is in the thousands, maybe ten thousand at the high end of possibility. Yet for the reluctance for breeding or perhaps a physiological factor in doing so, the need to continue on the blood line is a strong motivating factor for many elves, especially in this age when the population has been brought so low. Families are encouraging their youth to have as many children as possible, with some even looking to science for assistance in their cause.

When it comes to the royal family, that need seems more urgent given the relatively recent history and a desire to avoid that circumstance again, especially with the elven nobles who have seen the Raynor rule over the land for thousands of years and how the pair of kingdoms grew and prospered into the vast empire that is has become in the modern age. Superstition or no, the belief is there regardless, and the Empress and her husband have been getting hounded and pressed to produce an heir at the earliest opportunity, conversation that leads the both of them to a lack of words and redness in their cheeks. For a pair of individuals that are not known for being bashful or shy, it is a rare thing to catch one much less both in a way that leaves them speechless, but such is the case when it comes to the talk of having a child of their own. Perhaps it might even be more than one, with several instances of twins having occurred throughout the history of the Raynors, including in the last Raynor monarch and their consort. The nation yearns, yet the answer as to if and when such an occurrence will come to pass remains ever elusive from the lips of the royal family, much as the sixth World Cup title does from the national team.

Opinion: Tumbra's Newly-Found Natural Gas Fortune Isn't What It Might Be

FOR most of the past decade, the word on both Labour and Liberal ministers' mouths is gas. Gas is the hitherto unexplored sector of the Tumbran economy. It has earned this mythical status faster than any of the country's previous attempts to build its own industries, and distance itself from exploitative neo-colonial extraction industries, such as tobacco in the far-flung nation of Yolcan. Who remembers when the Tumbran government tried to create an airplane industry out of nothing? Attempting to compete with the established giants of Celstar Aerospace in Kelssek was a mistake that the aviation industry is still reeling from to this day. But in a country whose economic growth has slowed to a crawl, attempting to find new sectors to explore is difficult. The deregulation of the financial sector in the 1980s under Andrew Rainier has been eclipsed by a similar, bigger deregulation in Graentfjall — the country's central location in Rushmore, the world's biggest regional economy — and Tumbran products have so far failed to keep up with global developments. Chemicals, food processing, manufacturing; Tumbra the country has been outflanked by competitors on every front. In the country's endless search for efficiency, cheap products, and liberalisation, neoliberalism has swallowed the soul of the rational decision-maker and spit out a smouldering husk of what an economy now is.

Which is perhaps why the gas industry has been looked towards as a wonderful panacea for every one of the country's problems. Jobs, both upstream and downstream? Check. Opportunities to decrowd cities by providing incentives to move to the Northlands? Check. A way to increase revenue, allowing politicians to claim the benefits of unbridled economic growth as both sides of the red/blue aisle attempt to claim that they can best ride the untameable bucking bronco of the economy? Check, check, and check. But as the "real" economy — the increasingly squeezed middle classes, the left-behind towns of deindustrialisation, the increasingly invisible working classes — slips within the cracks, the average person will see little to no benefits. Tax cuts come and go as the need for government revenue increases over time, to fund an ailing healthcare service and a pension scheme cracking under its own weight; the prices of everything, from houses to lettuce, seem to be increasing faster than salaries are; and social mobility looks an increasingly rare sight.

Those pointing to the cheap gas that can be piped to many an Esportivan neighbour need also question the status of several of our neighbours. Damukuni seems to be self-sufficient, and haven't done much on the world stage for a long time; South Newlandia would resolutely reject any Northlands-made products; the BET Njaza is sitting pretty on its own little field of black gold, and so on. Increasingly the market for Tumbran gas looks to be domestic, bar any new markets found in resource-hungry nations like Cardenao; and that is hardly a way to raise revenues, that gold standard by which governments rise and fall. And if said gas is exported, what's to say that the country's ailing manufacturing sector won't suffer from a classic case of currency appreciation due to the gas sector making the Tumbran dollar be in hot demand?

Numbers going up always look good. But the real question — and the one that we really should be looking at — is how many people are getting the benefits of these numbers going up. Bar a massive redistribution through either a shifting tax burden or just giving people money, a la Nephara's Universal Basic Income, most of the income from the new natural gas industry isn't likely to trickle down to the average citizen. In this case, then, our newly-found natural gas fortune isn't what it's cracked up to be — and it might not even be ours, so to speak.

YAK EMPIRE - As a nation with a troubled past, the Yak Empire is a nation who has experienced a military Junta and a very brief civil war. So when the leadership in Guanacasteca reached out internationally, it was only natural for the Yak Empire and Nyam-Orgil I to reach out the Guanacastecans. Emperor Nyam-Orgil I has announced aid will be shipped out to the burgeoning Rushmori nation. In a publicly made statement on Television, the Emperor stated the following

The Yak Empire and its people do sympathies with those in Guanacasteca. We know that the process of rebuilding is and a long and arduous task. We will be sending help and aid to those who promise to help rebuild Guanacasteca and safety for those who want to help rebuild the fine Rushmori nation Guanacasteca.

Aid is supposedly going to be predominantly exported food surplus with wheat and beef as the primary goods being sent to the rebuilding Rushmori nation.

I am Nyam-Orgil leader of the Yak Empire, We have heard of your plight with you recent defeat of a Military Junta in your nation. We are very interested in helping your rebuild and development. Let me tell you a story David. Maybe you will have read up or searched for information on the Yak Empire and seen the history we have been through. I will still tell you a story. Back in 1980 I was a young boy of 12, I had taken a flight to Hapilopper with my mom, upon landing I got the worst news of my life. My father the Emperor, had died in an assassination attempt. A Military Junta had taken over and I had to seek asylum in Hapilopper. The Junta was brutal and especially did the Lahskan people wrong, a people my father had been trying to fix relations with for a long time. (Thats why one of my first deeds upon becoming emperor was to rename the Lahskan Plateau International Airport back to it's current name, as the Junta had renamed it after the emperor who had conquered the Lhaskans in the 1700s). So for 12 more years I sat in Hapilopper waiting for the right time to return and take people out of the hands of the Junta. We call the Junta, the Black Eye of the Yak people, and while it may not have lasted centuries, we can still sympathize with your people over their plight. We look forward to being able to help your people and we hope that maybe an official meeting between us can be arranged, maybe at a Football Friendly or dome other sporting event?

Please do let me know if you are good with the idea of receiving aid from the Yak Empire, Maybe in a few years we can look back over this deal and transition it into a full on trade agreement.

Torgos Tribune ~ Keep It Steady

The Wanderers are through roughly the first third of the qualifying process and find themselves in a favorably position in the group as it stands and have been playing quite well all things considered given the fragilities that the team had been displaying in the prior two tournaments leading up to this one. Sitting only a single point behind the group leaders with a game in hand over both them as well as the team in second, who are second via tiebreakers, the Wanderers are "sitting pretty" as it were and look to be in a good position heading towards the last few international breaks before the halfway point of the Qualifiers. It is a cause for mild celebration within the dual islands, as not many within the home islands were all too keen that the Wanderers would be able to find their footing and able to rebound as quickly as they have done so after the horrendous showings in both the World Cup Finals as well as the Copa Rushmori over the last year. There was almost a sense of dread regarding the team as they marched into the qualifying campaign, particularly after the group draw was made and the feeling of needing quite a turn around in form if the squad was going to be able to contend for not just the group but at least a playoff spot.

Credit need be given where credit is due and that is to the Banija man in charge of the national team, Zachary Orengo, who was able to see what had worked right when he took over during the last Qualifiers and enabled the team to scratch their way back into a playoff position and then win the playoff as well as figure out what failed in the Finals and the Copa. Making those necessary adjustments to make sure such repeat performances are few and far between, it has thus far proven to be quite effective outside an opening away trip to Tumbra, who just happens to be something of a budding rival and the first seed and a team who has seen a meteoric rise of fortune and skill over the past few cycles. That sort of opener was always going to be a difficult match, not only was it the best team in the group on paper but also an away day for a team who was looking to show their own might and worthiness to be considered favorites for the group. Five straight wins from that opening test however and it is clear that the Wanderers have responded to their managers words and instructions, even if the tactics have differed greatly than what most within the team are used to being employed in.

Particular praise need be given to the defense and the keeper, who have only conceded five goals in the opening six games and have shown that despite being a more offensively minded team, they can still be sound defensively and stand tall when they are called upon to do so. Tomáš Přibyl has shown promise for well over a decade now having earned a starting spot in Eastfield Lodge at an early age and it seems like he is having performances now with the national team that have been quite commonplace with his domestic team. The defense in front of him has been well coordinated as well, breaking down attacks and clearing away danger before it usually can result in a serious or dangerous scoring chance for the opposition. The offense still looks like it is trying to find its footing in moving from a two striker system to a one striker system, with Salai at times struggling to hold the ball up, but they have looked quite dangerous when allowed to run at the opposition on the counter. The team need only figure out this offensive issue to be a real threat to win the group, not just threaten to do as expected and contend for a playoff spot. With the way that chaos seems to run the day, their ability and any consistency found could be a major key in doing just that and achieving what few would have thought possible just a few months ago.

National Assembly of Huayramarca – 06/03/1989

As the re-election issue has made the front pages of the main national newspapers for weeks already, having an assassination attempt against the president for even attempting to suggest it, and a lot of mixed reactions from different leaders across the Multiverse, even more in the neighbouring Anaian nations, it was time to provide some debate in regards of the topic, to solve it. The MPs gathered for what was expected to be a heated session, a long one with different points of view.

The Conservative MPs started in their attempt to take down the re-election proposal by saying: “If we had a revolution was for the sake of having political alternatives, avoiding any pretention of perpetuating or lasting more than the allowed time in power.” Sandra Echeverría was particularly poignant in her intervention by mentioning “The Huayramarcan Civil Charter is an instrument that was conceived to allow this nation enjoy a democratic way of life.” Then, an answer from Gabriel Mella of Ñucanchi Ñan resounded “But there’s also a compromise from it to allow continuity of strategies and governmental plans for the wellbeing of the nation, something we have been ensuing and the different economic indicators are the best proof of it.”

As soon as the debate started, it was visible that the biggest gap that needs work to be closed is the “The re-election isn’t forbidden not allowed” loophole that wants continuity on strategical and renewal of leadership, for many people, those concepts are easy to separate yet in Huayramarca, both are specially ingrained to each other, as the popular idea is that leadership and strategy are unique traits to the one who wants to apply them, it’s a matter of style and not of execution. The leader of the Christian Values Alliance, Cristina Perlaza didn’t side with one of the already pre-established sides, instead, she added a third way “What’s the best result in terms of ‘moral outcome’ and ‘correctness’ for this nation? Sending the wrong message to society would be a gap that could be exploited in a future by an authoritarian, or one that would send Huayramarca in the path of disorder.”

Perlaza’s speech received attention as she said, “We must consider the real spirit of the Civil Charter and not the power desires of both majorities in the National Assembly, as we sworn to defend this constitution over our thirst of egoism.” Then David Serrano of the Communist Party said, “That’s why we are here, Cristina, we want to know the real spirit of it, we need to examine the roots of the process of consolidation of what we know as Huayramarca instead of overthinking the current text.” Root cause analysis, one of the main characteristics of the Communist Party of Huayramarca to examine reality, to provide a specific input on what they do, but one that it’s rejected by many in the Conservative side.

“Root cause analysis? Not that thing again!” said Francisco Hohberg of the Conservative Party, then he added “We can’t be wasting time analysing everything since the inception of this nation, we are paid to solve the needs of the nation and not for reading irrelevant information.” Serrano replied “Of course, you hate to learn, you dislike reality, and you still want to live in a bubble of privilege that you think it won’t burst ever! Wake up and be a critic of your surroundings!” Hohberg bursted in a belly laugh and replied “Have you considered on taking a shower, Commie? The whole hall smells horribly bad?” Serrano jumped from his seat, went straight to Hohberg just to shovel him and smashing a glass full of water on his head, knocking him down.

The President of the National Assembly, who turns to be a neutral figure selected by all the MPs had to stood and ask for calm in the room, aside from requesting police presence in the hall to detain Serrano, asking for the substitute MP to come for duty as the police took him and Hohberg for investigation purposes. After some minutes of tension and relaxation from all sides, the debate resumed its way not without an intervention from the President of the National Assembly “I won’t allow poor form and obscene displays of violence here. You all have been selected to represent the Huayramarcan society through respect and dignity, that’s what I ask for all of you in this delicate session of debate.”

As soon as possible, the responsible of the whip at Ñucanchi Ñan apologised for the behaviour showed in that moment from Serrano, then she added “We want to show Huayramarca that we have availability to discuss this matter as deeply as possible, that’s why I suggest examining the original draft of the Civil Charter that was presented to this house in 1981.” The parties had to vote on the matter, only the Conservative Party decided to vote against the proposal, that meant that the search in the Assembly Library had to start and be as fast as possible to show the draft and read it aloud.

As it took some time to find the Charter, in its original edition, a recess was asked as the parties analysed the potential outcomes of the process, and what they must analyse to get the best information possible in regards of this case.

Marta Mamani was still in the hospital; she took some time to relax after being subjected to operation procedures to save her life. Despite being discouraged to do so, she turned on the TV and decided to watch the news, she immediately saw the ridiculous scenes of Serrano assaulting Hohberg, to what she reacted in awe, as she knew that Serrano was a tranquil person, one that avoided that kind of situations more than anybody else “The straw that broke the camel” she said, as she was drinking juice. Then, the scenes of the recess and the search for the book came in the news, she had some flashbacks from a conversation she had with Augusto Buendía back then.

Back in 1981, in the day of the voting of the Charter, Buendía told Marta “We need to do some tweaks, specifically in a way to ensure that our strategy will be able to survive through time, we need to keep Huayramarca in the path she has found, we need it!” Marta asked, “We will, but what we have to do?” “First, declare 10-year plans as mandatory; second, allow for re-election, but not explicitly” said Buendía. All the emphasis going on “not explicitly” was something that kept Marta wondering mentally, as she was opposed to tyrants, yet she wanted to have a taste of power now she had the chance. There’s a saying that power can be able to corrupt almost everybody, and Marta was now falling into temptation, then she asked, “How so?” Buendía said “Well, don’t allow it nor forbid it entirely. Remember, everything that isn’t forbidden is allowed.”

Her mind was flying around, in surprise, as she didn’t expect Buendía to be like that, as he has showed a strong democratic conviction for alternatives in power, for democracy and rule of law, but didn’t imagine he would be willing to twist laws in such a way… “They say one shouldn’t trust anybody.” Said Marta to herself, then continued “Well, power is a temptation that I would like to taste for longer but not abusing of it. I imagine what I can provide to my daughter and son, to my family during my stay at the Palacio del Altiplano, a lot.” Buendía said “Are you agreeing with me?” Marta said “Well, I do.” She didn’t expect those words being so decisive or critical in a future, as she did expect to go through the process without any kind of issue.

She was back at the hospital, having finished the flashback and wondering on what she has been able to provide to Laura and her son, Juanito, who is now a university student “I have been able to provide them the very best, and I want to be able to do so for more. Same thing with Huayramarca, numbers are on my side, we shall continue this.” Then, her conscience tormented her “What if I get caught with the modification?” She also remembered how the draft approved and the sent to printing procedures at the Huayramarcan Official Gazette were different, as she altered them, then she said “Oh, the worst thing they can do is to block the re-election process.” She was further away from reality than anybody else in the government…

As the papers were found, including the printed version of the gazette and the approved one by the National Assembly, the session was called for resumption, then the president proceeded to read both papers, specifically for the re-election process. The official version, which features the constitutional ban on re-election says, “Re-election is forbidden, as anybody must not serve more than four years as president of Huayramarca during their lifetime.”, then the president read the printed version “Re-election in Huayramarca isn’t banned, nor allowed; strategy must be kept from one government and another, and must be subjected to improvement according to the needs through time.”

The faces of the MPs at the hall were red or pale, in shock, after what the president said. Nobody gave a word in the Assembly, as the President of the Assembly said, “This isn’t possible, there’s a contradiction between what has been approved and what was published.” Silence continued to be heard until a Communist MP talked “This is totally unacceptable. We have been living under a false Civic Charter, an adulterated one for almost a decade, something that must have serious implications on who proposed those changes, then apply reversion and continue. But we must find the culprit of this crime.”

A Conservative MP, still in doubt, dared to talk “I, as MP for the province of Alto Hospicio, I ask you, your Honour, to consider a motion of no confidence in Marta Mamani and Augusto Buendía as we investigate this issue.” Communists, Christians, Conservatives and People’s Party members applauded at unison, some members of Ñucanchi Ñan also applauded, to the point of seeing one of the most prominent members in the shape of Carlos Choque talking “We can’t believe we have been stabbed in the back, as we wanted a democratic Huayramarca and not a nation that would legitimate wrong practices from the past. We must investigate this and solve it as soon as possible.”

A block of Ñucanchi Ñan members decided to support the motion, hence, the President of the National Assembly said, “I hereby declare that, with 166 votes for and 34 against, we will commence a process for a motion of no confidence against Marta Mamani and Augusto Buendía.” Mamani, who was in the hospital worried, then called Buendía and said, “I thought this wouldn’t have any consequences like this… Augusto, our political careers and plans are at the brink of vanishing.” Buendía replied “We will endure this, they’re wrong, we will find a way to continue here and demonstrate our innocence.” Marta said, “We must, we must endure this and be victorious.”

After some minutes, Marta was messaged by her daughter who said, “Mom, is this true?” “What you’ve done?!” Marta decided to throw the phone away and sleep, as she wasn’t being able to cope with the happenings of the last couple of weeks, especially the last couple of hours. From an attempt of assassination to a no confidence motion, enough to cause a devastating effect on her mental health and reputation… Although, if there’s a skill Mamani has is to overcome everything and get what she wants, but she will be able to do so, will she overcome a situation that it’s likely to dump her political career? Evidence and legal manoeuvres to come will decide, while the elections shall be pushed over for the remainder of the investigation, exposing a new risk, a power void that won’t be easy to cover while this gets solved.

We’ve run this football blog / online magazine for a few years now and we’ve had contributors from all sorts of backgrounds. Former managers and coaches; scouts; a former player or two. Your man or woman from down the pub, your server at the local restaurant, the kids’ schoolteacher. All sorts of people. We haven’t yet asked any current players to pen an article for us, mostly because they either get advised not to write them or because we don’t want to put them in a difficult position writing about something which could affect their current or future career. We’re good like that. Now, finally, we’re changing that and asking current Mytanija international Jana Anusic to write a series of articles for us because we think it’s important. There are not enough women making it to the Mytanar national team and it’s not because they don’t have the talent for sport. When Jana approached us we thought it was a great opportunity to look into why she, so far, has been the only woman to make it into a Hoops shirt and become one of the boys.

I made six appearances throughout qualification for World Cup 92 and managed to find the net once. It wasn’t the most auspicious start to life with the Hoops, but it also wasn’t a complete washout. It was a start. One which I planned to build upon if I could give myself the opportunity to do so. It was at this point I decided to make my next move, some people thought it was a bit of a sideways move, from Urrheddiao to Pria City, but I just wanted to keep taking on greater responsibility in teams that little bit higher up the league. The Red League is very stratified, and few players make the jump right up to the so called ‘big three’, I studied this intently, looking at the likelihood of doing so and decided it wasn’t all too likely. That meant I would have to take a different route and these shorter jumps up the food chain made sense to me.

Pria was by far the smallest city that I had moved to. They were managed by a Yesopalithan dark elf, a concept which took some getting my head around. I had never come across this before, I was just trying to play football, so it didn’t really cross my mind how unusual it was to meet so many different races… species? I didn’t know the correct term for it, but playing football with and against elves, bears and sentient toilet brushes is weird when you think about it, isn’t it? The manager was Farrion Larrianne, anyway, and she was 270 years of age. So she had lots of experience and in her time at Pria City she had been instrumental in developing a more free-flowing attacking style. That was quite refreshing after the more defensive, hard-nosed approaches I had played in at Z’ai’ai and Urrheddiao.

I was told that I had freedom to get into attacking areas prior to the move and that was something which was really persuasive. In the run up to the campaign I was named the third most important Red League player to get an internal move within the league and it appeared as if people were really starting to take notice, both in Chromatika and back home. My international caps were evidence of that, but this media recognition only added to it. My ability in those attacking areas was a big draw for Larrianne and Pria City, but they also noted my hard-working approach to the game, always willing to chip in defensively and they were equally as impressed with my physicality. That was particularly cheering to hear, for such a long time physicality was noted as a reason why girls shouldn’t play football in Mytanija and yet, here in Chromatika, it was thought of as being one of my key attributes.

Another thing which made Pria City particularly appealing was the attacking options they could play in front of me. Berrymore, Jones and Jordan had long been impressive contributors and now they were assembled as a front three, one which I would be tasked with supplying. That felt promising, it felt like putting myself into a strong position to succeed and during my first season that was proven to be the case as we soared high up the league table. This was probably my most exciting campaign for a while, it felt exhilarating, challenging some of the established elite with a team which played exciting football on the front foot. We didn’t cower against the big sides, and we tried to bloody their noses wherever possible. Sometimes we succeeded, at the halfway stage of the season we were 6th and only 5 points off an IFCF Champions League spot. ‘You can’t get there without bloodying some noses’ my dad said down the phone, gushing with pride. His voice nearly made me cry, you could hear the emotions.

At that point we felt like we could close that gap, five points is doable, only two results are needed. A win for us and a loss for a team above us and you could see little Pria City in an IFCF Champions League position. We gave a good account of ourselves, but we just ran out of steam a little bit right at the end, not quite having the depth of quality which other teams could call upon. That was disappointing, but we all felt pretty proud of our achievements, even when we lost out in the IFCF play-off. For me personally it was perhaps the season where I really saw myself make that step forward, I was now a major protagonist, a player who could make things happen and whom opponents would have to respect as a result. The Chromatik media described me as having a ‘stellar’ season and I felt pretty content, but still hungry to achieve more. I still wanted something tangible.

It wasn’t going to come with Pria City. After my second season with the club I had to have a moment of introspection as we massively underachieved, languishing down in 12th despite some impressive moments in the season. The final day 4-2 win over Crossroads should have been for a lot more than just scuppering their IFCF plans. I scored a good goal, but the whole campaign ended up being one which ended up slipping away. I felt like there was a bit of a trend, like this had happened before at clubs I had been at, even back at Chromatik State. Was it something to do with me? Our poor form contributed to me losing my place in the national team and that really stung. I had worked so hard to get there and then a really poor season put paid to it, just like that, I was out again.

It didn’t help that Dzvezdan Kitanchev was in such a rocky position himself. He wasn’t able to experiment quite as much as he had previously and that meant that his ‘experiments’, including me, were shown the door. I knew that I would have to do something to try to fight my way back in, so I asked my agent to look elsewhere, to see if there were other options for me which might help me to reignite national team interest in me. He was on the case straight away, but one thing we didn’t plan for was Kitanchev to be sacked and for the FSM to appoint Misel Ravnjak. Nobody knew what that could mean for the national team. Would he change everything and just go with players who could defend? Would he refuse to call you up unless you had played for Ararat Severyan? Nobody knew what to make of it.

I had led an itinerant career up until that point, prepared to change Mytanija for Chromatika in the pursuit of opportunities and happy to never stay anywhere for longer than a couple of years once I got to the Red League. I had always known that I might need to keep moving on up, ruffling feathers along the way if I wanted to end up at one of the top clubs which could regularly battle for trophies. I knew I might need to do so again, especially if I wanted to put myself into Misel Ravnjak’s mind. I was very much in that mindset when Frenei Tor made the call to my agent, asking if I would be interested in making the move to a team which had just recently finished in an IFCF position for the first time in the club’s history. Graentfjaller coach Janina Spjällesdóttir had done an impressive job at the upwardly mobile club sponsored by sports clothing brand Frenei. It was a promising project, a strong team was being put together and a new stadium was in the works too. A lot to like.

It was perhaps the quickest deal I had made since moving to Chromatika. I want to challenge myself and play at the highest level possible. That lure of IFCF football made a real difference. I also still have a lot to prove. I need to show that the clubs I join can rely on me for more than a season. That has followed me a little, so there’s work to do. Hopefully this is somewhere I can stay for a while and show that I’m a player who can help their club make real progress. Frenei Tor want to be in the top four spots in the league, challenging for trophies. Janina believes I can play a major part in helping them achieve that. Next season will be another challenge.
