Following thorough structural, budgetary and mission requirement analysis; Naval Systems and Acquisitions Command, on behalf of the Naval Department, is pleased to announce the establishment of a contract with SDI AG, inc., for the fulfillment of the Next-generation Over-Horizon Counter-Ship Missile (NOCSM) program via the acquisition of missiles and production rights for the RBS 110 Scimitar surface-to-surface missile system. NOCSM is designed to deliver adaptable and highly lethal, surface-based containerized anti-shipping solutions to replace the MSS-33 Commorant surface-to-surface antishipping missile. NOCSM will equip surface combatants of the Meridonian Navy to include the upcoming Resolute-class of offshore patrol vessels and the Bell-class guided missile frigates.

NOCSM will provide an enormous capability leap with minimal structural accommodation to existing and future surface combatants of the Meridonian fleet. Modifications to the weapon's design, to include the addition of a launch assist booster and enhancements to its engine to optimize it for low-level supersonic flight. Naval Systems and Acquisitions Command is procuring an immediate order of 1,000 samples to include 200 canister launch units with additional to be procured by Meridonian contractors. These vessels will be prioritized for front-line surface combatants, including retrofits on Otapara, Rourke and Helena-class and mounting to future Bell-class frigates. RBS-110 will be designated as MSS-
