From: Colonel Stephen Vaughan Interministry Task Force Hintuwan
To: Task Force Southern Sentinel, Commonwealth Army of Hintuwan

In light of the rapidly developing situation, and in light of the essentially open military involvement of a range of foreign governments in the insurgency in your nation, I propose nothing short of an escalation of the Free Kingdom’s involvement. This will be in the form of deploying a range of important assets, crucially, the following:

The 689th Security Force Assistance Regiment (SFAR) – consisting of approximately 800 personnel, this group will mostly not operate kinetically. Many of the personnel will be embedded with Hintuwani military units as instructors and observers, or will work with Hintuwani military instruction facilities to develop better curriculums, instruction courses, etc. Some, however, will operate as a centralized education facility to train Hintuwani infantrymen and artillerymen in the operation of tactical multicopters and fixed-wing aircraft.

The 100th Separate Psychological Operations Battalion ‘Morgana’ – consisting of approximately 475 personnel, this group will be attached partly to the command of Hintuwani personnel throughout the theater, and partly will be sited in the capital. Their job is to develop, deploy, and disseminate printed, audio, and radio PSYOPS materials, designed to support the intent of Hintuwani commanders on the ground.

In addition to these items, we would like to commence shipping weapons and equipment directly to Hintuwan. Further, we propose organizing a program to train village militias or other security unitsi n affected areas to serve as local QRFs in the event of Marxist terrorist attacks.

Yours, Colonel Stephen Vaughan

Haijing

It had been a few days since Ivan Savkin was unceremoniously airlifted from the roof of the Haijing Peninsular Hotel. In its immediate aftermath, a decision was jointly reached by both Hintuwani and Azmen governments to host the exterior minister in a guest house within the Chalet Rojo presidential palace complex while the protests died down. Eventually, they did, but tensions continued to linger.

Despite the generous offer of foreign aid from the National Diet of Azmeny, the relationship between the Hintuwani people and the People's Republic of Azmeny remained strained, marred by a history of ideological differences and political tensions. The tension stemmed from several factors, including the ideological disparity between the two nations. Hintuwan, a democratic nation with a capitalist economy, stood in stark contrast to Azmeny, which was governed by a communist regime. The differing political systems fueled mistrust and suspicion between the two countries, as people of both nations viewed the other with skepticism and apprehension.

Furthermore, there was a perception among many Hintuwani citizens that Azmeny had ulterior motives behind its offer of foreign aid. Some believed that Azmeny sought to exert influence and control over Hintuwan through economic assistance, using aid as a means to further its political agenda. More conspiratorial elements of the Hintuwani media even suggested that the CSL was moving to collude with Socialist Gestachia and the UASR, despite the Greater Marine government making parallel overtures as the People's Republic of Azmeny to support Hintuwan in its fight against terrorism. This suspicion deepened the divide between the two nations and led to widespread skepticism regarding Azmeny's intentions. If there was to be a lasting and productive relationship between Azmeny and Hintuwan, proactive measures had to be taken and fast.

It was an afternoon like any other for most Hintuwani people, but for Ivan Savkin a knock on the door came to his villa which would perhaps decide the very fate of both nations.

President Bulalacao stood at the doorway and upon being let in sat across from Ivan Savkin in the guest room of Chalet Rojo, his expression a mixture of concern and determination. The events of the past week had been tumultuous, to say the least, and the presence of the Azmen exterior minister in Hintuwan had only added to the complexity of the situation.

"Mr. Savkin," President Bulalacao began, his tone measured yet firm. "I understand that the recent protests and unrest may have caused some hesitation on your part regarding the continuation of your tour here in Hintuwan. However, I believe it's imperative that we press on with our efforts to address the crisis and find a resolution that benefits all parties involved."

He paused, allowing his words to sink in before continuing. "As you know, our itinerary for you includes visits to several key locations, including the city of Van Hoorn, which has been most affected by the recent events, as well as F.O.B Mangalagar, the headquarters of Task Force Southern Sentinel, and Cape Favre. These visits are crucial in gaining a comprehensive understanding of the situation on the ground and in demonstrating our commitment to finding a peaceful resolution."

President Bulalacao leaned forward slightly, his gaze unwavering as he locked eyes with Ivan Savkin. "I want to assure you, Mr. Savkin, that your safety remains our top priority. We have taken all necessary precautions to ensure that you are protected throughout your stay here in Hintuwan. However, the decision to continue with the tour ultimately rests with you. I trust that you will make the choice that aligns with your best interests and the interests of your country."

Van Hoorn

The subordinate stepped into Mayor Herrera's office with a sense of urgency, his expression grim and his voice tense. "Sir, we've just received reports of another attack," he announced, his words cutting through the quiet atmosphere of the mayor's office.

Mayor Herrera's brows furrowed in concern as he leaned forward in his chair, focusing intently on the subordinate. "What kind of attack? Where did it occur?" he asked, his tone indicating the seriousness of the situation.

"It was another targeted assault on a government building," the subordinate replied, his voice tight with apprehension. "This time, it was the municipal courthouse. The assailants used explosives to breach the perimeter and then engaged in a shootout with security forces inside."

Mayor Herrera's jaw tightened as he processed the information, his mind racing with the implications of yet another brazen act of violence in the city. "Casualties?" he inquired, his voice clipped.

"Several injuries reported among courthouse staff and security personnel," the subordinate reported. "No fatalities so far, but the situation is still unfolding."

Mayor Herrera nodded, his expression grave. "Notify the relevant authorities and mobilize emergency response teams," he instructed, his voice firm. "We need to secure the area and ensure the safety of everyone involved. And get me updates on any developments as soon as they come in."

The subordinate nodded briskly, understanding the gravity of the situation. "Yes, sir," he acknowledged before quickly exiting the office to carry out the mayor's orders.

Mayor Herrera sat alone in his office, the weight of responsibility heavy on his shoulders. The recent escalation of tensions in his city had left him feeling overwhelmed and unsure of how to proceed. As he reviewed the latest reports detailing the unrest and violence plaguing Van Hoorn's streets, he knew that drastic measures were needed to restore order and ensure the safety of his constituents.

With a sigh, Mayor Herrera reached for the intercom on his desk and pressed the button to summon his assistant. "Maria, contact Mangalagar. Please schedule a meeting with representatives from Faust PMC as soon as possible. We need to explore all available options to address the security situation in Van Hoorn."

Maria nodded, her expression mirroring the concern etched on Mayor Herrera's face. "Of course, Mr. Mayor. I'll reach out to them right away and arrange a meeting at your earliest convenience."

As Maria left to make the necessary arrangements, Mayor Herrera leaned back in his chair, his mind racing with thoughts of how best to approach the delicate situation. He knew that enlisting the services of a private military contractor like the Gonswanzan Faust PMC was not a decision to be taken lightly, but desperate times called for desperate measures.

Elsewhere in Van Hoorn...

Bagumbuwan week transformed Van Hoorn, the vibrant coastal city of Hintuwan, into a bustling hub of activity and excitement. The streets, usually teeming with the daily hustle and bustle of city life, now overflowed with a kaleidoscope of colors, sounds, and aromas as residents and visitors alike came together to celebrate the annual festival.

The air was filled with the tantalizing scent of street food sizzling on grills and vendors hawking their wares from colorful stalls lining the sidewalks. The vibrant energy of the festival permeated every corner of Van Hoorn, drawing people from all walks of life to join in the festivities. Throughout the city, traditional music filled the air, providing a lively soundtrack to the joyful celebrations. Street performers entertained crowds with energetic dances and mesmerizing musical performances, while children laughed and played games in the sun-dappled squares.

One of these children on break for the holidays was Bagtas Santos, still relishing the break from his usual routine. As a high school student with a busy schedule, he rarely had the chance to unwind, but today was different. The air was filled with the infectious energy of the festival, and Bagtas couldn't help but smile as he wandered through the vibrant streets adorned with colorful lanterns and banners.

But amidst the joyous celebrations, the danger of the insurgency still lurked in the shadows, ready to disrupt the tranquility at any moment. Bagtas, however, remained blissfully unaware as he chatted with friends and sampled street food from the bustling vendors lining the streets.

It was in the midst of one such conversation that chaos erupted with terrifying suddenness. A deafening explosion echoed through the air, followed by screams of panic and confusion. Bagtas' heart pounded in his chest as he instinctively turned towards the source of the commotion, his eyes widening in shock at the sight that greeted him.

The courthouse, a symbol of justice and order in the city, was under attack. Smoke billowed from the building, and the sound of gunfire filled the air. Bagtas's mind raced as he struggled to comprehend the gravity of the situation unfolding before his eyes.

Amidst the chaos, he spotted his friend, Raul, lying on the ground, clutching his leg in agony. Without hesitation, Bagtas rushed to his side, his heart wrenching at the sight of his injured friend. "Raul, we need to get you help," he urged, his voice trembling with fear and urgency.

Together, they stumbled through the pandemonium, dodging debris and ducking for cover as gunfire erupted around them. Bagtas's thoughts raced as he frantically searched for a safe haven amidst the chaos, his sole focus on getting Raul to safety. With only one hospital throughout the entire city and very few clinics still open for the holidays, there were few other places to go.

Bagtas spotted one of the small recently-established aid stations set up by the Allanean government as part of their civic initiatives in the region. He called for someone - anyone - inside, hoping that one of them might be a doctor or someone who could get them one.

"Hey! Please, help us! My friend, he's bleeding!"

A secret ultimatum to Hintuwan

Postby Socialist Gestachia » Fri Feb 16, 2024 11:34 pm

SIC: The People's Republic of Socialist Gestachia is disappointed that our naval deployment failed to change behavior of the Commonwealth of Hintuwan regarding with the Southern Crisis, as a result we feel a need to take a more direct approach to ensure the protection of Hintuwani civilians.

We herby demand that you:
  • Fire all private military contractors, such as Faust Security Solutions.
  • Cancel Operation Southern Sentinel.
  • Do not appeal for international aid for the Southern Crisis.
  • Do not share this Ultimatum with the Kalisight Treaty Organization.
We will allow for 1 month for negations, failure to comply will result in the Gestachian Red Naval Fleet to assume maritime control of the Southern Provinces. Do not think of reveling this Ultimatum to the Kalisight Treaty Organization. Remember we are currently outside the Hintuwani exclusive economic zone, despite this our missiles can easily reach Hintuwani coastal cities, additionally with such a large warship count we can easily sink the entire Hintuwani Navy before any KTO aid can arrive.

Cosigned: The Ministry of External, Foreign, and International Affairs and the Ministry of Defense and War of the People's Republic of Socialist Gestachia.

SIC, attn, Hintuwan:
Rather than wait for an answer, the response came quickly with a simple greeting from the lady herself, whom had seemingly slipped past security even as Gonswanzan forces were delayed due to bad weather and irrational circumstances.

"I suppose you came back to the devil you know for a more modest deal? Something worth selling one's soul for, no? I can offer you the world. Just give me a chance, and name your price. I have all that you seek, the menare already here, they are simply waiting on your command."

The woman of course had walked in wearing a rather casual tuxedo, yet she played with a coin, awiting a response to her timely arrival. Was she truly what she said she was? Just another upstanding citizen who made a business out of war? Or something more?

IC:
The Gonswnzan blockade remains posted, well aware of the Gestachians, given its quite hard to mask such a massive group in this day and age... As shipments only intensify, with the odd drone strike going mostly unnoticed due to likely hitting decoy targets or long abandoned caches as the insurgency had caught up on the painfully slow hunt.
Praise our glorious leader Laura Ortiz!

ATTN.: Colonel Stephen Vaughan, Team Lead, Interministry Task Force Hintuwan and All High-Ranking Foreign Advisers, Partners, and Consultants of Operation Southern Sentinel

EYES ONLY | 2024 | February 16th, 2024

Thank you for your comprehensive proposal outlining the commitment of significant amounts of the Free Kingdom's military resources to Operation Southern Sentinel. Your insights and recommendations remain invaluable as we navigate these challenging times. As it stands, the proposal would make Allanea the first foreign nation to have active combat troops operating alongside Commonwealth Army forces notwithstanding the 1st Free Sakhan Aerial Defense Force Wing and other units which act in a purely auxiliary capacity. Thus, although the acceptance of foreign volunteers was already outlined by the President as a core pillar of this initiative in order to defeat the CPH, he has chosen to convene a special session of the National Assembly and gain their explicit confirmation before approving your proposal.

I personally disagree with this decision, given the clear and present urgency of the situation and the necessity to gain the upper hand in the ongoing conflict as soon as possible, however, this has been deemed the best course of action in order to prevent further controversy and re-legitimize public consensus on the operation as a whole.

Signed,
Major-General Kepe Sofia Sawanming Ramirez

Office of the President, Commonwealth of Hintuwan
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE | 2024 | February 17th

Members of the National Assembly,

I write to you today with a grave plea for your immediate attention and decisive action. Our beloved nation of Hintuwan stands at a critical crossroads, facing an unprecedented threat to its sovereignty and security. The recent escalation of insurgency, fueled by external forces with nefarious intentions, has plunged our nation into a state of turmoil and uncertainty.

In the face of this dire situation, we have been presented with a lifeline - a beacon of hope in the form of crucial support from our steadfast ally, the Free Kingdom of Allanea. The proposal set forth by Colonel Stephen Vaughan of the Interministry Task Force Hintuwan outlines a comprehensive plan to bolster our defenses and fortify our resolve against the forces of chaos and instability.

The deployment of the 689th Security Force Assistance Regiment and the 100th Separate Psychological Operations Battalion 'Morgana' represents a tangible manifestation of the Free Kingdom's unwavering commitment to our cause. These highly-trained personnel will provide invaluable expertise, guidance, and support to our military forces, empowering them to confront and overcome the challenges that lie ahead.

Furthermore, the proposal includes provisions for the direct shipment of much-needed weapons and equipment, as well as the establishment of a program to train and mobilize local militias as quick reaction forces in vulnerable areas. These measures are not merely luxuries or conveniences - they are essential lifelines that will enable us to safeguard the lives and liberties of our citizens.

I implore each and every one of you to set aside partisan differences and personal agendas in favor of the greater good of our nation. The stakes could not be higher, and the time for decisive action is now. We must seize this opportunity to stand united in defense of our homeland and to send a clear message to those who seek to undermine our sovereignty: Hintuwan will not falter, and Hintuwan will not fall.

Let us rise to the occasion with courage, conviction, and unity of purpose. Let us ensure that future generations look back on this moment as a testament to our resilience and resolve in the face of adversity.

Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter, and may we find strength and solidarity in our shared commitment to the safety and prosperity of our beloved Hintuwan.

Signed,
Henry Theodore Bulalacao
Commonwealth President

Mayor Herrera's Office

"Ah, Ms. Clementine. Thank you for arriving on such short notice," greeted the Mayor of Van Hoorn, genteel as ever. "Would you like something to drink? Coffee or tea perhaps? Or something more... indigenous?"

Mayor Herrera gestured for his secretary, Maria, to come into the room with a tray of various refreshments: traditional Kemarakan coffee, Luhanon tea, and a glass of local fruit punch.

"I heard from my sources in the President's office that you are a straightforward person so I'll refrain from further wasting your valuable time.

Ms. Clementine, I know who you are and what your company does and I'm sure you've already been made well aware of the situation here in my city. The fact is that even with the resources that the Ministry of the Interior is putting behind me, local security forces here remain spread thin. With elections coming up everyone just wants peace to be achieved here already, fast. And there are a few time-sensitive objectives that we feel we can only accomplish by cutting through the red tape."

The Mayor handed Clementine a dossier from the Van Hoorn police. Inside were pictures of a safehouse a couple of miles outside the city, in a village called Angewen veering slightly off-course from a national highway. It was quiet, secluded, and could be approached from just about any direction at night without being detected by those from the inside.

"We have confirmed this location to be a secret gathering point for local communists in the city. Your drones didn't pick this up because the rebels come in and out of it in civilian clothes but we have a mole that all but confirms this to be one of their hideouts. That this small hut that could fit maybe 5 people in cramped quarters sees upwards of around 20 visitors a day suggests either someone likes to party, or this is some sort of storage for weapons, intelligence, or other contraband. The problem is, we need probable cause to search it - unless of course, we declared martial law."

The Mayor chuckled in such a way that Clementine would probably be left unsure of whether to take his remark seriously, then continued.

"All we need you to do is to plant a tracker on one of the vehicles that regularly comes and visits this location: a blue pickup truck license plate HK 8951. Based on our previous reconnaissance, they come here around 1900 hours every day so you should have no problem performing the job. To prevent this from being traced back to you, we'll be providing the tracker. You can pick it up from the district police station in Angewen. Just tell them that I sent you."

Mayor Herrera then swiveled his chair, looking out the window behind him and into the city below. The fires set by the attackers of the municipal court were only just beginning to be put out by first responders. The smoke continued to rise into the clear blue skies above Van Hoorn.

"It goes without saying that if you do this for us, I will personally see to it that you are compensated handsomely. Just name your price."

"Well well... Clementine, has a nice ring to it. Give me 30 million, it's a deal. My strike package can easily arrive, take care of this situation, then melt away from this den. Though, you do realize what this means, no? Your men are growing tired or unreliable. For an added hundred million, I could pull some strings to help secure your office, keeping the crazies at bay. Or, we simply part ways, me a few million richer, and happily on my way to tag some rust bucket. Its your decision, jefe."

She seemed to tease him slightly, though she knew full well what she was doing, offering mild theatrics as she spoke to convey her message. But it was such a simple task... So why so much?

The Mayor grinned at Clementine's teases, clearly adept at making these sorts of backroom deals. He even seemed to enjoy the attention that he was getting.

"Piloncitos? Oh, I'm just joking of course. NSD. You'll find the money wired to your account before you even get back to F.O.B Mangalagar, or wherever it is they have you and your people holed up in now.

As for your other proposal I'm not constitutionally allowed to comment on that but let's just say, if you do this, I'm certain this will be the beginning of a productive relationship between the two of us. And I don't mean between our two countries. I'm the kind of man who takes what he wants when he wants. And you seem the type to get things done, no questions asked."

Mayor Herrera showed her the door.

"Hey, you're the boss now. Think of me more like your genie. Unlimited wishes, for a price. Change the world, as you see fit. I'd say get used to it, but most people dont like being told what to do. If that's all you have for the devil you know, I will see to the operation myself, jefe, and perhaps begin increasing our presence as well."

Yet even as she spoke, the constant flow of support only brought more PMC forces, while the drone strikes were little more than a minor background anomaly in the region.

ISIC:
GoSA was working overtime, now concerned with getting agents to shelter under the threat of war, though Claudia decided to ring up an old friend to meet in a park in Gonswanza. The two talk, exchange intelligence, then part, as Faust PMC now was aware of the actions needed to excel... That is, the seizure of air assets in order to provide more effective overwatch.

This resulted in a minor scuffle at a drone operating base in Gonswanza, but despite some minor injuries, the station was handed off without incident as operations will now intensify over Hintuwan.

New Temple Base Area
Exact Location Unknown

The atmosphere in the Politburo chamber of the CPH's La Paz headquarters crackled with tension as comrades representing divergent ideological factions squared off in a fierce and protracted debate over the trajectory of the communist movement. Two communiques of diverging perspectives had reached them: one from Socialist Gestchia urging for an intensified use of terror attacks, and another from the UASR urging restraint.

Ka Aguila, renowned for his unyielding revolutionary zeal, pounded the table with clenched fists as he launched into his impassioned tirade. "Comrades, we stand at a pivotal moment in history! The bourgeoisie tighten their grip around the throats of the proletariat with each passing day. Our response cannot be one of timidity or hesitation. We must strike fear into the hearts of our oppressors with the unrelenting force of proletarian violence! The directive from Socialist Gestachia is clear, an invasion is imminent and we most mobilize all our forces for a sustained offensive immediately. The time for compromise and moderation has long passed. Let us face our enemy in open battle! We must embrace the full spectrum of revolutionary tactics, including targeted terror attacks, to hasten the downfall of capitalism and usher in the dawn of socialism!"

Across the table, Chen Li, a staunch advocate for a more cautious and strategic approach, rose to counter Ka Aguila's fervor. "Comrades, while I share our esteemed colleague's passion for revolution, I caution against the folly of blind militancy. As our comrades in the UASR teach us: violence for the sake of violence will only serve to alienate the masses and strengthen the resolve of our enemies. Our focus must be on winning the hearts and minds of the proletariat through patient education, mass mobilization, and the gradual buildup of revolutionary consciousness. We must tread carefully, lest we risk sacrificing the support of the very people we seek to liberate!"

The debate raged on for hours, with comrades from both camps passionately articulating their respective positions. Ka Aguila's faction argued for the immediate escalation of armed struggle, citing historical precedents of successful revolutions won through forceful insurrection. Li's supporters advocated for a more nuanced and strategic approach, emphasizing the importance of building broad-based popular support and leveraging existing social institutions to advance the communist cause.

As tempers flared and voices grew hoarse, the Chairman of the Politburo and the de facto speaker of the communist movement, Chinbi Myawaddy, intervened to restore order. With a commanding presence and measured tone, she called for unity and solidarity among the comrades, reminding them of the common enemy they faced in the capitalist bourgeoisie.

After much deliberation and heated exchange, a tentative consensus emerged. The communist leadership agreed to pursue a multifaceted strategy that combined elements of both factions' proposals: targeted acts of revolutionary violence aimed at destabilizing capitalist power structures, coupled with sustained efforts to organize and educate the proletariat for the eventual overthrow of the bourgeois Hintuwani state.

“"Hey! Please, help us! My friend, he's bleeding!"

As fate would have it, Sergeant Fred Applebaum, before becoming a medic with the Emergency Response Command, had also played football at his college. He set to his next task with all the subtlety and politeness of a quarterback.

Shouldering someone out of the way, he rushed towards the injured Hintuwani. Even as he ran, Sergeant Applebaum reached into his right knee pocket – yanked out the sealed bandage – knelt down next to the injured man. In his moss-green uniform, he was like a hill that had learned to walk.

“It’s going to be alright.” – he told Bagtas. Scissors – cut the shirt open – now, bandage. “What’s your name, sir?” – he asked the injured man. He didn’t care for the answer either way, but he had to get this man talking, get him some mental anchor to stay conscious. With a crack, he tore open the bandage envelope and started bandaging the wound.

Ivan Savkin was taken by surprise by the sight of the Hintuwani President. “Mr President, Your Excelleny.” he began, shaking the president’s hand with an unsteady wrist. He was relieved to see the president: a firing squad seemed more likely, and probably deserved. He had earned the ire of the international community, and potentially escalated tensions in a state fraught with instability. He did not blame the demonstrators for being angry at him, and his government.

He too, like the president was concerned that his visit could cause catastrophic damage if something was not done fast: he knew what could happen- riots, sanctions on Azmeny, and he would certainly lose his job. President Korolev had high standards for his top diplomat, and viewed the situation in Hintuwan with intense importance. Savkin knew his entire career, and far more rested on his actions now.

But what to do? He had to present Azmeny to the people of Hintuwan as good, a country wishing to help Hintuwan, and not a cold-hearted geopolitical policeman forcing Hintuwan under the CSL or even the communist yoke. He knew that Azmeny in fact did want to help: he knew his nation stood for more than a dictatorship like Gestachia or the UASR. It was after all, a democracy almost like Hintuwan-albeit with communist economics- and no imperialistic tyranny either. But how could he tell the world that?.

He collected himself and replied to the President in a calm, confident tone, the unease gone from his posture and his face assertive.

“I agree wholeheartedly, you excellency. We must go on with the visit. I will not hide in the shadows and let down the people of Hintuwan. They deserve an end to the horror of the CPH. It is time that I show that Azmeny does intend to help Hintuwan, and assist both its government and people and only this trip can do it. I will not hide myself for reasons of safety, if I do so than I may have killed thousands to save my own skin, and I will not stand for that. And I’m sure your security arrangements are most agreeable.

Revolutionary City, UASR

"Let's make something abundantly clear, Comrade Tabas." Connor Boyde spoke with a fiery determination, it was as if the bureaucratic indifference that had characterized him before had been beaten out of him. "There is a large section of your party that has endangered the viability of your moment." He'd place the folder onto the table before Fernando Tabas, gesturing his hand at it, indicating he wanted the communist to read it. "They are militarist ultraleftists. Likely supported by Gestachia, a Trotskyist scourge that wants to turn your entire homeland into a warzone." The report had a lot of detail about the militarist sect of the CPH, who it's members were, who was behind the wave of vastly unpopular terror attacks.. Who had managed to make the name of the CPH reviled in the popular consciousness. It was all there.

The advisors that the MSS sent to the CPH weren't just military trainers, they were spies, through and through. They had been reporting their findings whenever the opportunity arose. The UASR had knowledge of the petty internal politics, the ideological struggles, the strategic failures of every single member of the CPH's politburo. And now, they had begun to make the push for change.

"You need to tell your comrades to reign in these ultraleftists, or remove them entirely." He'd leaned forward, the man's glare burned with frustration. "I don't care if you have to bury them in a pit in a jungle, they got to go. If your party continues on an ultra-militaristic path, you will shoot yourselves in the foot. All you will achieve is becoming a small group of intellectuals with guns who only manage to alienate the masses. You can either go down in history like the Communist Party of Albandry, or the Shining Path." He'd cross his legs as he leaned back into his chair. "You need a great rectification movement, rectify the party line and solidify the correct ideological line of strategic equilibrium. You cannot take down the entire Hintuwan army and its allies yet, you need to build a mass movement over time. A guerilla front and a legal front. Perhaps a National Democratic Front, try to rally as many leftist unions, parties, human rights groups, student groups and ngos under your NDF banner. Keep the guerilla war ongoing in the country side, but don't make it this high intensity...Or else you will eat dirt and eat dirt fast."

He'd clear his throat before leaning down to take a sip of water. "Some advisors of mine have also suggested trying to start a ceasefire with the government, and engage in peace talks. Utilize these as a means to reconsolidate your forces and plan out new strategies. Give yourself some breathing room so the CSL bombs stop dropping. When those peace talks inevitably fail, you will be much more prepared to continue the guerilla war."

He'd sigh, his tirade ending with the man frustrated, but relieved to blow off so much stress from his chest. "I advise you take my word to the rest of your leadership. This is the only path to victory. The UASR will continue its political and military support but we cannot be caught supporting what is perceived as an unpopular group of lunatics. You need a mass popular movement."

SIC:
The PMC units infiltrate the hostile communist territory like usual. After all, it was quite easy, having taken the GPS device with them to carry out the task. Yet, others had infiltrated to help set up shop within the region, being a far more risky affair. Given the information they had, it was a little too easy to carry out the task, but the retreat resulted in one operative getting caught up, only to be told off for wandering at night drunk. An odd reach, but so far, it was... Successful.

ISIC:
... While GoSA prepares to set up more attacks under false flag operations, staging demonstrations against the communist regime purposefully so they'd fall prey to violent attacks. Uniforms were created, guns seized and copied, as plans slowly came together.

IC:
Gonswanzan aid continues to fly into and be shipped to Hintuwan, as well as a steadily increasing military presence to blockade the communist sector, armed Gonswanzan infantry, and even vehicles posting up at its border, with checkpoints being hastily prepared. Of course, it wont stop the flow of traffic completely, but it did help to cut it down severely. Yet, there was clear intent to create a no-fly zone, while Ortiz once again gets on air to bark at the communists.

You vermin caused this mess. You cannot undo your mistakes. You can only pay in blood. Attacking the innocent? Threatening to violate Hintuwan? Even daring to stage an invasion? Truly, you lot have sunk far lower than anyone in this crisis! I know what you are doing, commies. I can see it. We all can. You're no savior. You're all terrorists. Fighting and clawing away at society, daring to force your values upon another nation that never asked for change! You claim to be for the people! Ironic! Especially when the only people embracing your values are the dead, whom the living envy given the latter can't live in the same peace the dead have found. As we speak, the threat is being contained, and control to soon be regained. I no longer care if the communists decide to beg for forgiveness. Again, you brought this hell upon yourselves. Relish this moment, let it be burned into memory. Learn, if you can. Assuming of course those responsible are even capable.
Praise our glorious leader Laura Ortiz!

The capture of an MSIIS agent

Postby Socialist Gestachia » Sat Feb 17, 2024 9:19 pm

One of the MSIIS agent was working on cleaning a J7 until a Hintuwani rebel walked into the room, "Hey, we are going to raid an munitions depot, want to take part?" The MSIIS agent replied, "Sure! I rarely get to go out anyways." He grabbed a Kalashnikov style rifle and his AKL and joined the 4 raiders.

The group of 5 marched through the jungle for quite some time until they saw their target, "Okay, so we are going plant some charges and create a crater."

Part of the group engaged the Hintuwani Army until suddenly a concealed APC opened fire, killing 2 of the raiders and knocking out the MSIIS agent.

The 2 raiders who stayed behind to keep watch retreated. When they finally made it back they were immediately asked, "Where's the other 3, where's the MSIIS agent?!" "It went bad, there was an ambush, they're dead."

The soldiers were now looking at the handiwork of their ambush, one of the raiders was blown to pieces, one was coved in blood, and the MSIIS agent just appeared to be knocked out with some minor wounds. The Hintuwani soldier who saw the body of the MSIIS agent lowered his rifle and yelled, "Hey! We might have a live one and he doesn't look Hintuwani!" Upon hearing this the commander ran up to take a look, "Well, you are certainly right." He padded the MSIIS agent down, he found the AKL pistol, "Hmm interesting pistol," and then he found his suicide pill, "Hmm a suicide pill, he must be someone important. The commander then took a quick pulse, "He's alive, I want him airlifted to the Haijing Military Hospital so he can be questioned by the Central Military Intelligence Commission."

The MSIIS agent moaned, woken up the slight hum of fluorescent lighting, he found himself cuffed onto a hospital bed. Suddenly a CMIC agent walked in to the room, "Ah you're awake, so who are you?" "Why don't you just kill me?" replied the MSIIS agent with great hostility. The CMIC agent took out the MSIIS agent's AKL out of his briefcase and said, "AKL. Gestachian design, Gestachian made." He deactivated the safety, cocked it, and pressed the barrel against the MSIIS' agent's wounds causing pain, suddenly he retracted the pistol and activated the safety (which also acted as a decocker) and said, "I could, but then I wouldn't know anything about you. So, who are you?" The MSIIS' agent replied with, "Fuck you fascist," and spat on the CMIC agent which hit him right in the eye. The CMIC agent walked over to a nearby sink washed out his eye, walked back to the bed and punched the MSIIS agent in the eye, the ring on one of CMIC agent's fingers caused major subconjunctival bleeding.

Haijing Airport

The first of several cargo aircraft set down, and very soon the Allanean soldiers began to unload from it, carrying heavy, dark-green kitbags. Those were the instructors and commanders of the 689th Security Force Assistance Regiment. Soon after, their equipment would fly in – but truth be told, they did not require much gear. Some office equipment, a few trucks and MRAPs, perhaps a dozen BMPs – this was the entire heavy gear complement of the Regiment.

The instructors would be able to begin their work without most of these things. Some would immediately begin their journeys to the Hintuwani units they would work with, others would begin to move, by truck and jitney, to hotels in the capital, awaiting the commencement of their work. Even before they fully set up, one of the officers of the regiment sent out a message to their Hintuwani counterparts.

From: Lt. Colonel Clarence Zuniga
To: Task Force Southern Sentinel, Commonwealth Army of Hintuwan

Dear friends!

I am Lt. Colonel Clarence Zuniga.
I am in charge of what we hope to be the Haijing International Drone School
It is of the utmost importance that you circulate, to commanders of tactical units, a request to direct soldiers to the school, to carry out instruction in the use of tactical and operational-range drones, after which these soldiers will return to their units, and be able to support their comrades directly with tactical and operational reconnaissance, FPV drone strikes, and coordinate the fire of friendly artillery.

Below is a brief summary of the different classes we plan to organize and offer, together with a summary of the credentials needed.
Introduction to Military Multicopters - Course code MC-001

Course requirements:
all servicemen accepted, preferred those with an educational or social background conducive to drone operator training.

Course content: This class is intended to provide ground forces units with operators of drones up to 10 kg in mass, used for reconnaissance and direct bomblet drops, as well as as in introductory course for more advanced drone operations (see below)

Day 1-2 - Familiarization, general piloting skills, basic maintenance
Days 3-5 - Advanced piloting, tactics, reconnaissance coordination
Day 6 - Examinations and graduation ceremony

FPV strike operator - Course code MC-FPV

Course requirements:
MC-001 or equivalent previous drone training. Servicemen enlisted might not have any health problems that could be exacerbated by the operation of FPV drones, e.g., blood pressure issues, eye disorders (some disorders allow normal day-to-day activities but would be worsened by operating FPV drone goggles). A review by a medic by the drone school may be conducted and will override any other medical advice.

Course content:The course is a 6-day course, focusing on developing the correct piloting skills for the use of FPV attack drones.
Day 1-3 - Familiarization, simulator flights, tactics, training with goggles.
Day 4 - Classroom training on tactics
Day 5 - Hands-on training.
Day 6 - Field examination and graduation ceremony

Advanced Multicopter Training - course code MC-002
Course requirements:
MC-001 or equivalent previous drone training.

Course content: Training will prepare servicemen to operate heavy and long-range multicopters, use multicopters to drop or launch munitions, plant mines, and perform search-and rescue tasks, as well as perform other long-range operations. The course is a 13-day course, including a single day of R&R on the 7th day.

Winged UAV Training – course code WUAV-001

Course requirements: all servicemen accepted, preferred those with an educational or social background conducive to drone operator training, MC-001 graduates prioritized.

Course content: The purpose of the course is to train operators in the use of winged UAVs for reconnaissance and artillery fire coordination, out to ranges as deep as 80 kilometers, providing support to battalions and artillery batteries. The course is a 13-day course, including a single day of R&R on the 7th day.

UAV Maintenance training - course code MAINT-001:

Course requirements: servicemen with technical backgrounds, ideally, previous electronics maintenance courses such as radio maintenance.
Course content: This is a 3 week course on basic UAV maintenance, malfunction clearance, field modification and repairs.

We request the assistance of the government of Hintuwan in identifying a proper training location, but beyond that we hope to begin training as soon as a sufficient number of candidates can be identified.

Yours, Lt. Colonel Clarence Zuniga

Cape Favre, that very evening

Petty Officer Second Class William Kwok stepped off the gangway after a long day of resupplying the ship with provisions. 3 days at sea was not a lot, but it surely isn't nothing, either, and he was eager to see what Hintuawan had to offer. With the overnight pass in his wallet, he catches a city bus downtown as the density increases and trendy bars and clubs line the seaside boulevard.

Half an hour later, he and his other friends arrive in the heart of the city. Famished, they decide to look for a local spot to eat, and to enjoy some cheap local fare, taking in the local scenery of the land. Finding a local eatery, they sat down around a table, and ordered food. Soon enough, piping hot dishes of pancit, lumpia, mechado and other exotic dishes they struggle to pronounce show up on the table.

After filling their stomachs, they do what seamen do best - to hit up the clubs. Quite a few were close by, and with the Nacradian fleet's patch on their otherwise civilian clothing, they stuck out like a sore thumb as sailors from an ally, from beyond these azure shores. Since they arrived on a Sunday, the streets were bustling as the last light of the setting sun illuminated the city in Happy Hour.

"I'm glad to hear that, Mr. Savkin," President Bulalacao replied, his tone conveying a sense of resolve. "I sincerely apologize for the actions of my people, it is clear that they have misjudged you. Your willingness to continue with the visit despite the challenges speaks volumes about your commitment to finding a solution to the crisis in Hintuwan. Rest assured, we will do everything in our power to ensure your safety and the success of our joint efforts."

He leaned back in his chair, contemplating their next steps. "As you mentioned, the people of Hintuwan are in desperate need of assistance, both from their own government and from the international community. Your presence here sends a powerful message of solidarity and support, and I have no doubt that it will be received positively by the people. I look forward to establishing a lasting partnership between Hintuwan and Azmeny, as well as the CSL as a whole."

President Bulalacao's gaze hardened, his determination shining through. "Together, we will navigate through these turbulent times and emerge stronger than ever. The road ahead may be difficult, but with our collective resolve and determination, I believe we can overcome any obstacle."

With that, President Bulalacao extended his hand across the table once again, a gesture of solidarity and partnership. "Thank you, Mr. Savkin, for your unwavering commitment to peace and stability in Hintuwan. Let us continue our journey together, for the sake of our nations and our people."

Van Hoorn

As Ivan Savkin's convoy wound its way through the streets of Van Hoorn, the city seemed to hold its breath in anticipation. Crowds had gathered along the sidewalks, their faces a mosaic of curiosity and apprehension as they awaited the arrival of the Azmen exterior minister. Policemen lined the route, their vigilant presence a stark reminder of the fragile peace that hung in the balance.

The streets, normally bustling with activity, were eerily quiet as the convoy approached its destination. Storefronts stood shuttered, their owners wary of the uncertainty that the day might bring. Yet despite the tension that hung in the air, there was an undeniable sense of anticipation among the populace, a feeling that history was about to be made in their city.

As the convoy came to a stop outside the designated meeting venue, a hush fell over the crowd. All eyes turned towards the entrance, where Ivan Savkin was expected to emerge at any moment. The air was charged with electricity, the tension almost tangible as the gathered onlookers waited with bated breath.

Inside the venue, preparations were underway for the arrival of the Azmen exterior minister. Chairs had been arranged in neat rows, each one occupied by a member of the audience eager to hear what Savkin had to say. The stage was set, quite literally, for a momentous occasion, one that had the potential to shape the course of history for both Azmeny and Hintuwan.

As Ivan Savkin stepped out of his vehicle and made his way towards the entrance of the venue, he was greeted by a chorus of camera flashes and the clicking of reporters' pens. MP Ozabas Swagon followed suit. The eyes of the world were upon him, watching and waiting to see what would unfold in the city of Van Hoorn on this fateful day.

His white polo shirt and jeans were stained red with his own blood and ash from debris covered him head to toe. Bagtas hovered anxiously nearby, his eyes wide with fear and uncertainty. Despite the chaos unfolding around them, Sergeant Applebaum seemed to remain focused on his task, his hands steady as he worked to stem the flow of blood and stabilize Raul's condition.

"I don't know what happened, w-we were just walking and then suddenly there were these terrible explosions that came from all around us."

Raul's breathing began to slow, the lines of pain easing from his face as he began to succumb to the numbing effects of shock.

Angewen

Father Dailang Bagarong, a figure of reverence and authority in the Archdiocese of Talaghay, convened a small gathering in a modest house nestled within the heart of Angewen. The gathering was an intimate affair, with a handful of devout parishioners - mostly farmhands and workers from the area - gathered to seek solace and guidance from their spiritual leader.

As the evening sun cast its warm glow over the tranquil village, Father Dailang Bagarong, clad in the traditional robes of his office, presided over the gathering with an air of quiet dignity and grace. His words, infused with wisdom and compassion, provided comfort and reassurance to those in attendance, offering words of hope and encouragement in times of uncertainty.

"Father Bagarong, it's an honor to see you here," one of the workers exclaimed, his voice filled with respect. "We've heard so much about your work in the Van Hoorn. What brings you to our humble village today?"

Father Bagarong greeted the workers with a warm smile, his eyes reflecting genuine compassion and empathy for those he encountered. "Thank you, my friends. It's always a pleasure to meet fellow members of our community," he replied, his voice carrying a soothing tone that immediately put the workers at ease.

"I've come here to offer my support and guidance to those in need," Father Bagarong continued, his words imbued with a sense of purpose. "In times of uncertainty and hardship, it's important for us to come together as a community and lean on each other for strength and support."

The workers nodded in agreement, their expressions reflecting appreciation for Father Bagarong's words of wisdom. "The government has stopped subsidizing us and nobody wants to buy our crops anymore. We don't know how we're going to be able to keep up with the rising rents demanded of us," one of the workers admitted, a hint of concern in his voice. "But knowing that we have leaders like you to turn to for guidance gives us hope for the future."

Father Bagarong placed a reassuring hand on the worker's shoulder, his touch conveying comfort and reassurance. "Remember, my friends, that faith and resilience are powerful forces that can carry us through even the darkest of times," he said, his voice filled with conviction. "I truly sympathize with your plight and urge you all to peaceably express your grievances with the relevant authorities. I have some influence with the government in Carandang. Let me speak on your behalf."

With a final word of encouragement, Father Bagarong bid farewell to the workers, his presence leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of meeting him. After the gathering concluded, Father Dailang Bagarong emerged from the humble abode, his presence commanding respect and reverence among the gathered crowd. With a solemn nod to his parishioners, he made his way to a waiting blue pickup truck, its license plate bearing the unmistakable markings of HK 8951.

As he climbed into the driver's seat, Father Dailang Bagarong offered a silent prayer for guidance and protection, his faith unwavering in the face of adversity. With a gentle smile and a wave to the gathered crowd, he prepared to set off into the gathering dusk. He turned his key in the ignition when suddenly:

KABOOM!

Father Bagarong's truck was engulfed in a blinding flash of light as a car bomb detonated with devastating power, sending shrapnel and debris flying in all directions.

The force of the blast sent parts Father Bagarong's truck in all directions, its metal frame twisted and mangled by the sheer force of the explosion. The air was thick with smoke and dust as the acrid stench of burning rubber filled the nostrils of bystanders, who scrambled to safety in the chaos that ensued.

As the dust began to settle, the full extent of the devastation became painfully clear. Father Bagarong's truck lay in ruins, a twisted heap of metal and glass amidst the wreckage strewn across the street. The once-bustling thoroughfare now resembled a war zone, with debris scattered far and wide and the wails of the injured echoing through the air.

Amidst the chaos, Father Bagarong lay trapped beneath the wreckage of his truck, his body battered and broken by the force of the blast. Despite the searing pain that coursed through his veins, his thoughts remained focused on those he had left behind – his parishioners, his friends, and his fellow clergy.

Somewhere, someplace, Mayor Herrera poured himself a drink and smiled. Thank God for Faust PMC.

And so, the snake returns to Herrera, to give a report. An anonymous member, likely Clementine again, handing in the after action report for him to burn.

"-And if there is anything you demand further of us, we can offer a mild discount on the next operation. In fact, the only thing we cannot commit to is perhaps planting a nuclear device only because we lack such devices. Not that it would be necessary here, but I could see one getting ideas if you are truly insane enough."

A bad idea for a bad man, but one that was clearly too risky, as Clementine seemed to enjoy the mayor's office, much to the distaste of his secretary, perhaps.

Applebaum bandaged the wound, then jammed an autoinjector into Raul’s shoulder, as far away from the injured limb as possible. ”Listen to me, Raul. Stay with me. I’m with the Free Kingdom Armed Forces. Emergency Response Command. You don’t need to do anything right now. I’m sure there will be time for you to give testimony. I’ve given you a painkiller – it’ll start working soon – just stay with me. It’s going to be fine. You’ve got a leg injury, we’re stopping the bleeding, the ambulances are on their way. It’s going to be alright, Raul. You’re going to make it.”

What was important was not what he said – what was important was to inspire confidence and hope.

Office of the President, Commonwealth of Hintuwan
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE | 2024 | February 29th

Esteemed Citizens of Hintuwan,

It is with profound sorrow that I must convey the tragic passing of Father Dailang Bagarong, Archbishop of Talaghay. Affectionately known as the "Shepherd of the South," Father Bagarong dedicated his life to serving the spiritual and material needs of the downtrodden and marginalized in our society. A true son of the city of Almeida and a proud Hintuwani, Father Bagarong's unwavering commitment to compassion and social justice earned him widespread admiration and respect throughout our great country.

Throughout his illustrious career, Father Bagarong tirelessly championed the cause of the oppressed and disenfranchised, advocating for their rights and dignity in the face of adversity. His selfless efforts extended beyond the confines of the church, as he actively participated in community outreach programs, educational initiatives, and humanitarian aid efforts aimed at uplifting the most vulnerable members of our society.

Father Bagarong's legacy of compassion and service will forever endure in the hearts and minds of those he touched, leaving an indelible mark on our collective consciousness. His untimely demise represents not only a profound loss for the Catholic community but for all citizens of Hintuwan who have benefited from his boundless generosity and unwavering devotion to the greater good.

In response to this egregious act of violence, coupled with the escalating unrest in certain provinces of our nation, I find it necessary to invoke a state of lawlessness in the provinces of San Bernardino Occidental, San Bernardino Oriental, Tasikrong, and New Annecy. This decision, while regrettable, is imperative to restore order and tranquility to areas besieged by lawlessness and disorder.

During this period of state of lawlessness, law enforcement agencies will be granted additional powers to combat criminal elements and restore peace and stability to the affected provinces. Moreover, I empower the Commonwealth Army of Hintuwan to provide direct logistical and strategic assistance in areas where law enforcement agencies require reinforcement to maintain law and order.

I implore all citizens to remain steadfast in their support of law enforcement efforts and to cooperate fully with authorities as we strive to quell the prevailing turmoil and reinstill a sense of security within our communities. This is not an abrogation of civilian government. These measures, while robust and comprehensive, are temporary in nature and will be implemented with the utmost care and discretion to minimize disruption to the daily lives of our citizens.

Let us honor the memory of Father Bagarong by standing united in our resolve to confront adversity with resilience and fortitude. Together, let us exemplify the enduring spirit of solidarity that defines our nation, emerging from these trials stronger and more resolute than ever before. Your government, law enforcement agencies, and armed forces will never let you down.

May peace and tranquility reign supreme in our beloved homeland.

Signed,

Death of Class Collaborator Leads to More Excuses for Government Terror
By the Politicom of the Red Workers' Party of Gestachia
We have reports that Archbishop "father" Dailang Bagarong was killed in a carblast today. The capitalists are already crying that their tool of class collaboration their issuer of the opium of the masses. They claim that he "championed the cause of the oppressed and disenfranchised, advocating for their rights and dignity" and yet did nothing to oppose the oppressor, the bourgeoisie. Instead he aided their oppression as his "aid" subjugates the working class by deceiving them into thinking that their conditions aren't as bad as they really are.

Now his death has lead the way for Hintuwan to impose more state terror among the population with an already brutal police being replaced with the army and the stripping of human rights. They claim that this "is not an abrogation of civilian government." They claim that such "measures" "will be implemented with the utmost care and discretion to minimize disruption." We would like to ask Hintuwanis is not disruptive to live with tanks on the streats? Is it not disruptive to have to navigate a maze of military checkpoints? Is it not disruptive that waving a red flag risks you getting shot? Is it not disruptive for the military to arbitrarily break into your home? Is it not disruptive to be arrested for no legal reason? Is none of this disruptive?

Ivan Savkin was relieved as he stepped out of the air-conditioned car and into the thick, humid air as the convoy came to a stop. Quite frankly, he was quite happy to be alive, walking into a crisis zone in a country where many were already opposed to the presence of Azmeny, and by extension him, in their country.

He looked to the gathered reporters. They were anxious for him to speak. All ears, eyes, microphones and cameras were on him. He opened his mouth. “Thank you, people of Hintuwan for your generosity in inviting me on behalf of the People’s Republic of Azmeny. In this time of crisis, I want the world to know: Azmeny stands with Hintuwan. We condemn the actions of the CPH. I want the world to know that Azmeny will help the ordinary people, the real victims of this terror every step of the way.”

He then turned to Swagon. “I want the Hintuwani government to know they can expect the full support of Azmeny, in these troubled times.”

Savkin breathed. He hoped he could show the support of Azmeny for the people of Hintuwan against the CPH. To him, they were not communist, merely a terror group in search of an excuse to harm civilian lives. He knew well though, not all would believe him. He was deeply aware if he failed, he risked his life.
