But he was a low level spy and not the best to be escorting kids. But if they failed, which they almost certainly would, the government would have his skin.
"I don't think it's a good idea to go to Sharifistan. The ports are blockaded by Asim's navy blocked into the ports and there are rumors of the Arab league being favorable towards Asim. Going through Israel will be impossible due to your opposition. There is one way we can take you to a more secure area, though I will admit many don't travel there. We could take you to Somalia and take you to a portal. I have a contact in Mogadishu that can take us there. Then in Romextly, you can go to the destination of choice. However that is up to you."
“Somalia?!” cried Muhammad. “Do you know how long it took us to get this far?! And you not only want us to double back, you want us to go farther than the distance we came?!” He out his hands on his hips and began walking around the room.
Shaheeda turned to “Runihura”. “Excuse us for a second,” she said.
She went up to Fazluddin. “Mate, you gotta calm down.”
“I know, I know,” he said. “How the bloody hell are we gonna play this?”
“I dunno, bruv,” she admitted. “We either head to Sharifistan, which is dangerous, or head all the way to Somalia to get to a portal in Mogadishu, which is crawling with DPRI men, to get to a portal to go to Romextly.”
They thought for a moment.
“Do we know anyone in either country?”
Shaheeda thought for a moment. “Fazluddin’ wife! She still lives in Sharifistan.”
“And in Romextly?”
“I don’t think we have anyone there.”
“Bloody hell,” he cursed. “It’s just as well. It would be harder to adjust to life there.”
Shaheeda turned to “Runihura”. “Alright, listen here, mate,” she told him. She pressed a few buttons on her watch and a map of Africa and the Middle East was projected from it. “If we continue in the Port Said, we can easily hitch a ride on a boat to Sharifistan. Especially if the boat is Sharifistani or the crew itself is Sharifistani or Turkish. If it’s an Insaani crew and we get caught, they might turn us in.”
She touched the watch and it zoomed in on Eastern Africa.
“If we double back down to get to Somalia, we’ll have to go through all the cities we went through. It’ll be slow due to all the commotion from the terror attack and Langenian bombing. We’ll have to go through a lot of major cities where the authorities are more likely to spot us. Finally, if we get to Romextly, we’ll be significantly safer and better off than in Sharifistan, but it will be harder for us to adjust to living there.”
He looked at them both calculating what to say. He finally made up mind.
"If you want to go to Port Said, fine. I won't stop you. But I'm going to Mogadishu anyways. I can just tell my superiors I tried my hardest. So go on. You need to hurry so Asim wint catch you."
