A Request for International Aid
Greetings, friends of the international community.
For some of of you, we are infamous. For others, we are strangers. For a select few, we are men amongst cowards.
Regardless of your affiliation, we are still human.
The following is a formal diplomatic request for international aid to addressed to all nations charitable and good.
As the Haudegen Reich on the Isles of Svalbard nears it's annual midnight sun, which lasts from April 20th through late August, production officials on the Isles estimate we will not be able to sufficiently sustain the population of the island despite optimal conditions.
Currently, more the 1,200 men and women occupy the Islands, with over a hundred who can classify as children. Many more are growing sick and feeble. In the interest of national security, exact numbers cannot be disclosed. Regardless, over a thousand people are currently at risk of potential famine as reliable food resources grow insecure. There simply is not a sustainable amount of existing rations, artificial grain production, and natural game to last the rest of the year.
Recent naval blockades on our nation also estrabate these problems. Although relieved, imports of necessary fabrics, infrastructure, and other necessary materials vital not to the war effort but to the simple survival of the island population has become scarce.
As such, it is my duty as Reichspräsident of the National Folk to swallow idealistic prides and wayward expectations of absolute self sustenance, an appeal to the international community on a humanitarian grounds, bound not by ideological differences and past grievances.
The Haudegen Reich officials appeals to any nation or individual willing, to send us essential aid, through any legal or illegal means.
Port Longyearbyen on our capital isle has been cleared for imports, and the specific naval routes have been de-mined. We hope to receive the courtesy of humanity in open arms.
