What he said, but I tend to assume tgat unless a nation is an outright enemy attacking me in a war that we have diplomatic relations, even if they're tense and hostile. Which reminds me I have embassy stuff to do.

Mcnernia has a deep state problem. Basically a substantial bunch of mid tier officials and officers are quite inclined to combat SACTO and perceived Racism and such. This goes up to the Royal Family.

I was planning for the Anti-SACTO Mcnernian deep state to get a handle on the Free Expression group and bankroll them.

Like I said before, I kind of get uncomfortable with increasing terror attacks because they have a tendency to make me wonder why in the heck my nation would continue to exert pressure on New Edom in the way I feel it has to in order for Ru to be an interesting foil for you SACTO guys.

I mean, it can work and y'all can do whatever you want to your embassies and your characters, but if Homofront is so active and open that more violence is being inflicted upon New Edom and it's allies then they've dished out, it becomes difficult for me to justify my nation's continued involvement. I can probably work around whatever's dished out like I did earlier, but it's just something to keep in mind.

I will say this: I don't want things to be TOO CLEAR. I have deliberately made this story to have human messiness in it. if, for instance, Morenburg or someone wanted to push for war, it would have to be because their policies led to it, not because New Edom turned out to be deliberately sacrificing children to Moloch. What u like about this game is the possibility of depicting real life style political tensions with creative license.

I will say this: I don't want things to be TOO CLEAR. I have deliberately made this story to have human messiness in it. if, for instance, Morenburg or someone wanted to push for war, it would have to be because their policies led to it, not because New Edom turned out to be deliberately sacrificing children to Moloch. What u like about this game is the possibility of depicting real life style political tensions with creative license.

I have to say that I think that's an absolutely excellent way of going about things. It's brilliant for developing people's Foreign Policy and, personally, has really allowed me to explore how the Vionna-Frankenlischian Government reacts to crises abroad. (hint: not very well apparently)
