”Mankind must put an end to war before war puts an end to mankind.”-John F. Kennedy

In the pristine blue waters of the Mediterranean Admiral Vasev, and Admiral Thurston who were commanding the coalition of English Caliphate, and Yurizlansian navies were setting sail for the Konstantinoplean fleet. Their fleet numbered 220, with 170Yurizlansia ships, and 50 English ships all waiting to do battle. Luckily the leaders of Yurizlansia were competent enough to not use all of the navy in one theatre. Vasev was also glad to hear the sorry state of the Konstantinoplean navy, and could not wait to cripple them. The plan was simple, defeat the enemy navy in the Mediterranean, and bombard the important island of Crete. The coalition navy also had about 50,000 marines ready to do battle with whatever invasion forces they find on the island. They were still sailing on the Mediterranean, waiting for any form of resistance.

Sofya, Bulgaria

King Vladimir Klumystef was sitting in his very spacious study contemplating his next plans for the war. That was when one of the clerks from the Defense Department gave him a letter.

From: Petar Yenkov, Head of Defense Department
To: His Majesty King Vladimir Klumystef

After I had been informed of the percentage we could use in certain situations from the top economists in my department, I have concluded that less than 1% of our population is in the military, which numbers 380,000. If we needed to, we could draft 2% of our country, which numbers 764,091 men. If we were to be invaded, we can draft 4% of our men, which numbers 1,528,182 men. This information is going to be vital during our struggle to win this war.

May God be with you,

Petar Yenkov

This interested the King very much. He knew that he would need more men than he had now. He began to give speeches denouncing Konstantinople, and inspiring patriotic fervor. After he received the reports from the Admiralty, we waited anxiously for his plan to come through.

To: The Kaiser of Germany
From: King Vladimir Klumystef

I apologize if this letter comes to you at an inconvenient time, but we are in need of some assistance. First off, I am ecstatic to hear you join the war against the devils that live in Greece, and Rome. We need you to use your superior navy to defeat the Roman Republic in the Atlantic Theatre, so they cannot reinforce any ships in the Mediterranean. If you can also use your army to attack the Roman republic, and overtake them.

God be with you,

Vladimir Klumystef

ORBATs Post Updated with current figures.

Is everyone satisfied with their ORBATS? Remember to include units that will join later in the war. Last chance to update them.

In response to East Persian aggression against GK, the Government of GK has announced the damning of the two major rivers going into Iraq. The daming will cripple the East Persian agricultural economy, and cause a famine in about 1 year. This will force the East Persians to exit the conflict.

150,000 soldiers have lined up across the border with Yurizlansia, ready to invade.

Indeed I am.

The Republic of Washington Army
The 2nd Army consisting of the 3rd Infantry Division, 4th Infantry Division, 8th Infantry Division, and the 11th Cavalry Division begin to construct defenses along the southern border in South Dakota with Panem Colony in North America. The dig elaborate trenches with a zigzag pattern to dampen the impact of incoming artillery shells, a wooden floor with drainage to avoid flooding, wooden wall supports to avoid cave-ins, and bunkers to shelter from artillery. Concrete bunkers are built for the heavy water cooled M1904 machine guns, and mostly beneath the surface. Artillery are placed behind support trenches to support the front line troops. The zones are predesignated from more accurate and faster artillery responses.

The 1st Army continues training in Ontario, expecting to possibly be deployed to Europe to support the German Empire. Being the most well prepared and best equipped forces of the Washingtonian Army, they may fight the enemy first. The Third Army meanwhile continues to bolster it's numbers and may either be deployed to Wyoming or Wisconsin.

The formation of the 4th Army begins in Montana with new recruits pouring in to bolster the ranks. The 5th Army begins to be built up in Harvest near lake Winnipeg. With a shortage of M1905 Enfield rifles, some troops are being issued M1898A1 Enfield rifles until enough a produced.

The Republic of Washington Navy
The 3rd fleet gets orders to continue to patrol the shipping lanes to watch out for commerce raiders and enemy fleets. The 7th Fleet's submarine force is kept in coastal waters in the event of the enemy breaking through the fleet. The Pacific fleets may end up giving over several dreadnoughts to bolster the Atlantic fleets. More dreadnoughts are being rushed into productions ever since the order for the Konstantinople predeadnoughts was revoked.

OOC: GK, didn't Panem say 1.2%?

1.2% of your nation's population is 411,840, if I heard Panem correctly, you are over the amount. This is just to let you know.

(You currently have 590,400 listed)

Special forces: The Sinai

100 men sailed towards the Suez Canal. Upon landing, they tore up their boars and hid them in the sandy beaches. It was dark and the men have eight more hours to get to their destination. They are in Port Tewfik, the ending point of the mighty canal. 80 men head to the west to set up foxholes for the daytime. The other 20 headed to the northeast to place TNT explosives at shipping containers and the canal lock systems. Some of the men would take up sniper positions and cover themselves with tan-brown camouflage to conceal their positions.

Special Forces: Euphrates River

At the same night, 30 men arrived the Euphrates River by dashing through horses at the evening through the border. After the sun set, they charged about three miles and dismounted from their horses. The men then pulled out their pieces of boats and quickly built their raft. Then they placed it on the river and sailed north on the Euphrates. They will continue sailing until dawn when they will hid out in the forest during the day.

Special Forces: Tigris River

At the same time and the same night, 35 men were racing through the night with their horses. They will be disguised as an enemy convoy heading to a military base. They raced along the desert as fast as the horses can. When they were about 8 miles deep in enemy territory, the men dismounted and rested.

Near Sinai Peninsula
The Dragomerian Forces approached their target. To ensure that the invasion goes smoothly, reconnaissance aircraft were sent out of map out the area for potential targets, while the bombers where prepared to take off. Once the Sinai Peninsula was bombarded, they would redirect towards the Suez Canal. The goal of the mission was to either take or destroy the canal. The 113 ship (and submarine) Armada of the Forth and Fifth Fleets were nearing their targets with crew and troops eagerly waiting for action.

Malvinas
The recently acquired Malvinas (formerly Falkland Islands), became a resting point for the troops, while the fleet refueled and restocked its supplies. The troops were authorized a week of relaxation pending further orders. Many troops could be seen playing Soccer on make shift soccer fields and Wrestling near the shoreline.

War Room
The Dragomerian Emperor stood in front of a table. The table held a map of the world with figurines representing the forces against Konstantinople and the approximate and estimated locations of Konstatniplean troops as well as those of their allies. he was looking inside of an unlabeled black folder. He then placed it inside of his robes and walked out of the room. "Soon," he said, "They shall meet the full force of the Rising Sun."

Special Forces: Suez Canal

The 80 men began moving out of their camp sites and started to head towards the canal zone. There they find enemy soldiers planting explosive charges The troop commander made the decision to try to disarm the explosives that have been planted already. But it is a risky decision. If he doesn't act now, enemy forces would blow up the canal and they will out of luck.

Once you get into my territory you don't have control over what happens in my operations. Your forces can't get near the military zones of the canal, it would be impossible for you to plant bombs there.

Well, I guess that I could add you. Just make sure that it has ALL the forces you could/will use. You would only be able to use forces from that list.

52 Miles North of Tabriz

East Persian/Uzbek Encampment

The cold wind of the nearby Caucasian Mountains wallows through the misty air throughout the camp. The place is livid with commotion. Trucks filled with war supplies and rations bustle through the narrow brown roads of the tents, kicking up dirt as the go, passing by large groups of soldiers, who have been preparing for the assault on enemy territory. This encampment, just 52 miles north of the East Persian city of Tabriz, would be the staging point for a join assault including East Persian, Uzbek and Indian forces (Who have not arrived at the base yet but are bound to come later.) into Konstantinoplean occupied Caucasian lands, just north of the border. It is just before dawn and convoys of trucks and soldiers, numbering in the thousands begin their formation to set off for the journey.

Leading the command of the 3rd Uzbek Cavalry Regiment is Field General Umid Shodiyev, who eyes his convoy of cavalry as they suit up. He walks down the line of them smiling and re-assuring them of the task at hand.

[ Field General Umid Shodiyev ]- Men! Now is the time you pray, for the calling of battle is not too far away! Whether you return home, know deep in your hearts you are apart of a good cause for Uzbekistan and the world!

08:00

The Uzbek and East Persian convoys are in the midst of the journey, with the border laying dead ahead. The large peaks of mountain can be seen towering over the horizon. Coalition occupation of the Konstantinoplean Caucasus has begun.

Numbers:

East Persia: 60,000 men.

Uzbekistan: 30,000 cavalry.

In the wastes of the High Plateau, near the Ascoobian-Panem Border, Ascoobian prisoners and untrained conscripts are hard at work digging trenches in the scenario that the Panemians launch any sort of offensive against Ascoobis. The commanding officer of the operation, Colonel Sandra Escobar-Sanchez, receives a sealed letter from her superiors in Darkmount. Seeing that it is from the Emperor, she feverishly opens it.

Ms. Sanchez, I must inform you that the 1st Army will be arriving at your position in several days. Your men are to have finished the state trench system by then or you will face a serious demotion. Your request for greater manpower has been declined. As there are further trench projects opening in the forests north of you and in the Utah region. You will have to work with what several thousand men you have, and quickly.

Signed, His Majesty,
Emperor Carlos Jimenez.

Meanwhile

Aboard the Caribbean Fleet's temporary capital ship, the Imperial-Class Dreadnought AS Bold, a heavily encrypted message arrived from the Imperial Palace in Darkmount. Once the message was sent through the decryption machine, it read that the fleet was to deploy its seven Shadow-Class submarines in the North Caribbean in order to stalk, and if possible, destroy Panem shipping as quickly, quietly, and as efficiently as possible. Meanwhile, the rest of the fleet was to search out and destroy Panem naval units in the region. The Peral-Class Submarines were to increased their patrols of Ascoobis' coasts in line with this operation. WIth that statement, the months of anticipation in the base exploded into a wave of sailors scrambling to and prepping their submarines and several destroyers for departure. Operation: Shadowstorm has commenced.

”I have not yet begun to fight!”-John Paul Jones, Naval officer

Admiral Vasev was looking over the horizon very nervously. The whole point of this operation was to take that vital and important island, Crete. He was lucky enough to have 220 ships to use at his co-command. The sea was surprisingly quiet, the calm before the before the storm as he liked to say. He looked through his telescope, and saw something that made his heart stop, Roman ships. He was not expecting to be facing a huge flee like he saw in front of him, this was going to be much harder than he thought. There were a large amount of dreadnoughts, and battleships on each side, and despite being huge beasts of war, the all swayed in the waves. After doing the customary request for withdraw, which Yurizlansian attacking armies, and fleets have been doing for centuries, he declined. He began to move the Yurizlansian fleet forward, focusing on the right flank, while requesting that the English Caliphate focuses on the left flank, and center to force them to funnel downwards. He quickly gave the order to 10 of the ships in range to open fire. The war had officially begun.
