Does anyone happen to know why iiWiki is giving a "the server has generated a critical error" message? Or, for that matter, when it will be back online?

Thanks for the report. Something's broken, possibly due to a server side issue. Hopefully the issue will be resolved shortly, but I can make no promises.

Please make sure you have backups of your articles and images stored somewhere. It's just good practice, and will help a lot if we ever decide to rebuild the site completely, as a rebuild would be a clean install.

An easy way to obtain any/all the pages you would like is to use http://iiwiki.com/wiki/Special:Export

Actually the source of the error was me, and it broke some of the site for a while, but as far as I know everything is more or less n^or_ma^l again.

Under the "More" dropdown menu (top right, by the search bar) you'll find an option to Move the article to a new title. Nice and straightforward.

Administrators (e.g. me) can choose not to "Leave a redirect behind" so that the old page doesn't still exist and redirect to the correct name; but for something like an accented name I wouldn't bother about that, since you might want to just type Arpad sometimes and not bother with the accents.

I've a question for the coders. Might it be possible to integrate the imgur widget in such a fashion as to allow it to function in infoboxes. I dunno if that is possible but I've been trying to reduce uploads to the barest minimum necessary, and allowing me to store flags and maps on imgur would be enormously helpful in doing so.

Some templates are hard-coded to only take internal image files. Changing that would break other people's infoboxes.

Rule of thumb is that Imgur won't work any place where you don't have to add "File:" in front of the image name.

Most likely isn't universal since I've not heard much of it. I haven't heard back regarding command line access to deal with an access of cached image data, though if that becomes a real problem, the site would go down entirely. There's always the possibility that the CPU is getting hit too hard for some reason.
