The Colonial Military has planted mines all over the border with Washinton to prevent a invasion by the enemy. Trenches have been dug, and thousands of soldiers are ready for the enemy to attack. Until then the soldiers are careful and patient.
The Republic of Washington Army
The 2nd Army at the border continues with basic maintaining of defenses to be prepared for any invasion. Infantry units clean their weapons in shifts to avoid being caught off guard, scouts are sent forward at night to scout the enemy positions, and the occasional artillery battery fires off a few shells. The heavy 4.7-in guns fire HE shells to keep the Panem forces from thinking about mounting any serious offensives. Parts of the 1st Army and some of Volunteer Corp Troops are moved into position to prevent attacks on their southern left flank.
The Republic of Washington Navy
The Jefferson-class light cruiser ROWS Franklin (CL-5) and the four destroyers accompanying her spot a Panem supply convoy bound for their North American Colony in between English Iceland and Panem itself. The cruiser and it's escorts quickly fire their guns on the small convoy, effectively the first shots of the war for Washington. The Dreadnoughts and other heavy ships wait out in the Atlantic for any Panem naval forces to try and break through to their colony. The super-dreadnoughts ROWS Wyoming (BB-21) and ROWS Emerald State (BB-22) near completion and will join the fleet soon.

Commander: "We'll split up into two forces. Fifty will go to Ismailia and the other fifty will go to Port Said. The one at Ismailia will be called Group A and the group at Port Said will be called Group B. When we reach those two cities, look for a spot to launch an assault on the weapons and port facilities of both cities. If you see any retreating troops and they pose a threat to your group, take them out. Take prisoners if necessary, and capture their weapons and ammo. The Dragomerians are on their way to take the rest of the Sinai and if you meet them on the way, introduce yourselves as East Persian Special Forces and they will assist you if they can.
Right now, get a fresh supply of food and ammo from that building over there and we shall be on our way Good luck. Oh and you Zaid, you will command Group B on their way to Port Ismailia. I'll inform the Dragomerians of our plan so that they would not mistake us for the enemy."
