Invitation to Event in Ardala

Warmest Greetings!

The recipient of this correspondence is hereby cordially invited to attend a gala sponsored by the royal family. The purpose of this event is to build relations among the attendees and proliferate goodwill between the entities which they may represent. The gala will be held within the Royal Palace, located in the northeastern district of the capital city of Ardala along the banks of the Kimina River.

Forty years ago, our nation was in turmoil, brutalized by the Second Kimini Civil War. By the perseverance of our people and Divine Providence, peace has returned to our ancient land. In honor of this peace and the hope of its lasting, His Majesty is proud to welcome guests from diverse backgrounds to experience our nation's hospitality and see the progress which has been made since the 1980s.

Upon arrival, guests will be personally greeted by His Majesty Akil IX and will have the opportunity to mingle with the rest of the royal family and other Kimini nobles over the course of the event. Light food and drink offerings will be available throughout the day, which will culminate in an eloquent dinner of traditional Kimini cuisine presided over by His Majesty himself. Please specify any food allergies so that the kitchen staff can make the necessary accommodations.

The Ardala Metropolitan Airport is fitted with the security and transportation infrastructure for delegates to arrive by air. For those who would prefer a more scenic route, travel arrangements can be made to bring parties from southern Kimina up the Kimina River to Ardala. Other arrangements may be available upon request.

This is a black tie event. Please dress accordingly. All government officials and the majority of the palace staff will be able to speak at least basic English at the very least, but translators are recommended for those who cannot speak Arabic at a conversational level and will be available at the event. Other considerations will be made as needed.

Welcome to "A Grand Gala at Ardala," a social RP focused on making friendly connections between the participating nations ICly and the players behind them OOCly. The general idea is for things to be fairly casual; I do not intend for any heavy-handed political intrigue or similar drama to occur here. Of course, there will be plenty of opportunities for economic and/or political arrangements with all of these high-society types in one building, just nothing super heavy please. There will be a general backbone of a story throughout the RP to keep things together and interesting, but for the most part the events of the night are open-ended and the cards will be left to fall as they may dependent on the actions of the characters.

Character guidelines are fairly straightforward. All characters should be of somewhat high social status as this is an event put on by royalty. Any major political figures, whether royalty, nobility, or elected officials, are more than welcome and will fit well with the general theme of the event. Also welcome are CEOS, high ranking military officers, celebrities, and the like. This is not an exhaustive list, so please feel free to shoot me a telegram if you'd like to have a character that doesn't fit here.

All characters should fit within a somewhat realistic modern tech setting. No robots/cyborgs/wizards/whatever else. No offense intended towards those who play those kinds of characters, of course, but they just don't fit the intended setting. If you have a character that you think falls into a gray area, TG me and we can talk. As mentioned in the letter, it is highly recommended that characters either speak Arabic or Coptic at a conversational level or have access to a translator. ICly, most of the Kimini characters will speak English, generally referred to as "Common," but languages may shift as needed and there might be more opportunities for RP this way.

Otherwise, feel free to bring whatever characters you feel are appropriate. I have roleplaying and worldbuilding experience, but not much in terms of these types of social RP, so please be patient with me as OP and maybe even take the opportunity to hop in here if you're in the same boat.

And finally, a list of the overall rules for the RP just to cover all the bases:

1. Follow all NS rules. Keep things clean(-ish, PG-13 content is fine) and chill please.

2. No violence. I intend for this to be a relaxed and fun social RP. Please respect that.

3. No more than three characters per person. If you absolutely, desperately need more than that, TG me and we can talk, but I really want to keep this focused and having everyone controlling multiple characters tends to disrupt that. This only includes main characters. If you need a few minor side characters to go with your guest, that's not a big deal. Please keep the plus-ones and security details for a single main character to <5 people.

4. Nothing that wouldn't fit within a mostly realistic modern tech setting.

5. Please respect your fellow players and avoid disrupting the flow of the roleplay.

6. Please write a minimum of one paragraph of content per post. No one-liners. Longer joint posts are encouraged, but the more traditional short back-and-forth style common in these types of RPs is fine as well.

7. As OP, I reserve the right to accept and deny requests as I see fit, remove players who do not adhere to the rules, and void disruptive, rule-breaking, or extremely unrealistic posts as I see fit.

8. Put "Kimina is a crazy cool country!" somewhere in your application to verify you've read these rules.

His arrest for dissent by the crown led to him missing the 2010 Spring Championships, which greatly publicized the communist cause, and his release was one of the major demands of the mass strike that transformed into revolution. Post-insurrection, the soviet (and later democratic-republican) state used him as a model-citizen-celebrity. He briefly served as a representative in the highest athlete's soviet in the country before his retirement as a member of Team Champagne, and he now serves the Conservateurs as an international representative.

Brief Biography: Sheikh Yusef bin Al-Qammadi rose up into power after his father was killed by a coalition raid during the international intervention to destroy the QLA. Officially, the Roujlani have sworn off any allegiance to the QLA.
He is now the main power in one of the three provinces that borders Kimina, but the true power behind him, and the man he answers to, is the warlord, Karim Al-Fazan. Al-Fazan escaped the hunt for QLA-allied warlords and has remained in the shadows since, waiting for the resurgence of the QLA. Al-Qammadi is the public face of both the Roujlani tribe, and the private face of Al-Fazan's interests. He is also highly respected in Jamfar, the Qasifyan capital, as one of the Council leaders in the newly reformed government under President Jalmani Amranadien.

Health/Security Concerns: No health concerns. He is quite healthy according to his doctors. Security concerns would be that a rival warlord in Qasifya or South Gragastavia might want to take him out. Brief Biography: George Hanover was born on November 12th, 1984 in the Royal Nurseries of the Leinescholoss Palace. He was baptized as a member of the Lutheran branch of Christianity in St. Clements Chapel at the Palace. Growing up, he was said to be a silent, yet intelligent boy. Like all children of the Royal Family, he received his nursery and preschool education at the Palace, delivered by tutors. He was close to his younger brother, Prince Robert, but distant to his elder sister, Princess Mary. He attended the Institut Le Rosey, a private boarding school in Switzerland. It was there that he would met his future wife, the Princess Madeline of Sweden. He did well in the Humanities, Legal Studies and in Business, but was utterly terrible at Mathematics. Following his graduation, the young Crown Prince immediately married the Princess Madeline. The two married at Marienburg Castle in a small but lavish ceremony, before enjoying a multiple week long honeymoon at a luxury resort in the Seychelles. He was born on 8 October 1980, and is a Honest, Modest and Friendly Man. He is married to Augestia VII of Krout and is the father of a Son and two Daughters. He is great lover of Dance and Painting. He also has Masters in Painting and a Degree in Domalt Classical Dance along with his Doctrate in Business Study, MBA and MS. The House of Zoduf, which he is the Head of, owns many companies and Funds, Trustees etc and are an Influential Family in all of Equit. Convincing them for Investments is an Ideal Plan for Kimina.

BB still partners with Terembev, along with many other world brands, if they are not owned outright by Terembev.
He is attending the Gala to network and hopefully open up new markets in Southern Tavlyria, as well as other parts of the world, depending on who shows up to the party. Also just wants to be a public face for Terembev, along with the other companies he helps to represent, and get some publicity for them.

Brief Biography: First son of the 10th Marquess of Orrinshire. Gillett has served as an officer in the Imperial Army since the age of 18. Seeing service in a variety of colonial postings, his only combat service was in the Marienburg Uprising during which he commanded the 1st Loyalist Brigade. Gillett ascended to the Orrinshire Marquessiate in 2013 following the death of his father. Though he remains a military officer, he has been on the Reserve List for three years awaiting a new command, during which time he has devoted himself to diplomatic tours and the administration of his estates.
Appearance: Six foot exactly. Thick salt-and-pepper beard, long and curly black hair. Completely average figure in almost every way. Beard hides pudgy facial features.
