Breaking News: Diarchs assassinated


Some elements of the Army Corps during a gun fight in the outskirts of the capital

Yurika Kanae and Dahlia Makoto, Diarchs of the Cattish Confederacy elected just a few months ago, died this morning after the official residence of the Diarchs exploded. More 6 people also died in the explosion. Zenith, the armed wing of the Conservative party already claimed the attack. The New Left government declared state of emergency and mobilized the National Defense Corps. Hidden Cat, the armed wing of the New Left, also declared they would take action against Zenith and vowed to "reduce Zenith to dust". Gun fights between Hidden Cat and Zenith already started in the capital.

Many fear a civil war in the islands, and those not called yet by the government are starting to take action too. Rei and Asa Sanana, sisters, both aged 21, were not called by the National Defense Corps yet but decided to join Hidden Cat fighting against Zenith. "We can't sit around after this. The Diarchs were assassinated, we want to fight Zenith by bringing them to justice or killing them. We don't want a civil war." one of the sisters said.

Updated: Conservatives seek monarchy

- Zenith revealed around 2 hours ago they assassinated the Diarchs because there is a new path that Conservatives wanted to follow: A monarchy for the Confederacy. During the broadcast, seen on the internet, Zenith proclaimed Nikolai Suzura, head of Zenith, as "King of the Cattish". In response, the New Left and its armed wing, Hidden Cat, said the Conservatives had "totally lost it" and that "now even the most peaceful Cattish will lynch the Conservatives.". Indeed, even with fights taking place in the streets, millions have filled the main streets protesting against the Conservatives and Zenith, shouting "We will bury you!" and "Out with the Conservatives!" to demonstrate their anger.

During these protests, Haruna Mito, Minister of Defense and member of Hidden Cat, delivered a speech to the crowd: "...and who are they, who the hell are they, to resort to such horrible acts! Power hungry people, that's what Conservatives are! They wanted to have their way with our country, our beautiful islands, but you, you, the people, made your voices being heard and kicked them out! Now, they try to recover what they lost using force, despicable ways, promoting death, going against your wishes! This is proof that we need a stronger leadership under the guidance of the New Left, one that gives what people want, hears what people say and above all, takes care of people. This is what we need! And now I say to the dogs of the Conservatives, I say to Zenith, surrender! Drop your weapons and surrender! Stop this nonsense! Face justice or face death!" said the minister surrounded by millions.

NDC in massive exercises in the Leeward Islands

- The National Defense Corps started today massive exercises in the Leeward Islands. 3 branches of the NDC - Army, Navy and Air Force - will simulate, during 3 days, different war theathers.

The purpose of these exercises is to test the capacity of the three branches to answer in case of attack and also invading foreign soil. The Minister of Defense was present in the first day of exercises. She was also the main star of what she called "a funny fall", after two jets flying low at high speed managed to make the Minister, as well more 6 people next to her, fall on the ground. "God I love those them. I really should fly again one of these days." the Minister, herself a pilot, said with a smile on her face.

The Navy also decided to bring a veteran ship, not for taking part in the exercises, but to celebrate her 73º birthday. To the delight of those watching, "Byakko", a battleship of the WWII, managed nevertheless to test her might.

Bombing in Nueva Saldeana leaves 30 dead and hundreds injured

Last night at 11:21 pm, a series of explosions in Nueva Saldeana gave citizens a frightening wake-up call. A witness reports "I was sleeping in my bed, when suddenly part of my apartment exploded and I had only enough time to hang onto a flag pole before the entire building fell down." The government has begun investigating this matter, and most citizens speculate that this attack is linked to the Separatist State Of New Carabana (SSNC), a rouge terrorist group that nearly destroyed the nation with a bloody civil war only a few months ago. The group is said to have been mostly eradicated, but some members are still in hiding, and one of them might have planned this attack. Another witness reports "Before the bombs went off, I saw some suspicious looking people walking around, which I found strange because at this hour, most people would be sleeping, not wandering the streets." The government tells the public to remain calm, and that they would handle this before any more innocent people are killed or injured. Could this be a spontaneous attack, or part of a more sinister plot by the SSNC to bring Carabana into another bloody civil war?

After another political activist demonstration in the Britanian colony of Wehrlans earlier this week, the island is once again in a state of turmoil after the demonstrator's leader, Ghari Sopimor suddenly disappeared this Thursday. Ghari was a civil rights activist who campaigned for the independence of Wehrlans from Britanian rule. This Tuesday, March 10, Ghari organized another "peaceful" demonstration in which at least 19 activists were injured and another 12 arrested. This Thursday, March 12, Ghari Sopimor planned another demonstration but it did not happen. Instead, Ghari never showed up until his family discovered him to be missing Thursday night. Now a riot is being held at the city of Cassadale, led by Ghari's sister, Sofeia Sopimor.

The government has been blamed for the disappearance of Ghari but Governor General Matthew Henderson denied the allegation in a statement today saying, "We, on behalf of the Britanian Colonial Government, deny any accusation that we are responsible for the disappearance of the heretic- er uhm... I mean Ghari Sopimor."

The activists, meanwhile, have seized major commercial and government buildings in the city and has set numerous establishments and vehicles on fire. The police are trying to stop the protesters from advancing towards the Colonial Capitol Building but the activists outnumber them 12:1. The Colonial Government has requested military intervention but the Emperor is still processing this decision.

On March, 2015 the supply of next batch of 30 G-60 MBT for the needs of 2nd Dragoon Guards was carried out on the Brigketh Army Complex, Brigketh. This is the second batch of aMBT's of such class, which was supplied to 2nd Dragoon. In total 44 vehicles have been transferred so far.

According to the army spokesmen, G-60, having been developed at Excalibur Moringham Plant, near Brigketh. The ST-10 Starhauler, the first of 10 ordered by Steelbaron and of a total of 30 on order, will be based at Cape Steelfork Air Base and initially used for training before being deployed on military and humanitarian missions.

Stevencousin and Steelbaron agree to enhance defense ties

Cape Steelyards, 16 Mar, 2015 - The defense ministers of Stevencousin and Steelbaron have signed an accord to strengthen links in areas such as military industrial activity and cyber security, it was announced on 11 March.

The agreement - in the shape of a memorandum of understanding on defense co-operation - was signed in Cassaholm, Stevencousin, by Stevencousinn defense minister Dr Jan Kappel von Kiger and Steelbaronn defense minister Eddy Arcaro-Steeler. Regional security issues were also discussed, Stevencousin government news services reported.

In another related news, Steelbaron Navy decommissions two Crossbow – class light frigate. The 1,200 tonne vessels - ESS Kris Hassian, and ESS Dudley Richer- were inducted into Steelbaron Navy service in 2012. Following decommissioning, Kris Hassian and Dudley Richer was gifted to the Hundredstar Navy.

Our beloved General Emperor Johann V recently visited the Sehrhart-Ausbildung military camp in North province. His Imperial Majesty was greeted by Major Generals Robert von Hochenkaiser and Wilhelm Mitvielhar. This came as a surprise to Mr. Hochenkaiser as the Emperor usually only visits North province on his annual tour around the country in August and September. Mr. Mitvielhar organized a grand banquet for the Emperor's arrival and all 2,600 soldiers at the camp attended. The next day, His Imperial Majesty dressed in full uniform and gave a 15-minute speech broadcast throughout the country. He and some of his advisers then played a soccer match against several of the soldiers including Mr. Mitvielhar where they won 4-3. The following day, he departed Sehrhart-Ausbildung and toured North province, being received by the Provincial Governor Elizabeth Millsman.

Minister pushes nuclear plant site in Bremingshire, Holmlock

The Minister of Energy & Utility plan to push for construction of nuclear power plant in Bremingshire, Holmlock. Mr. Edison Spinale said he will set up committee to consider the Hundredstar Utilities Authority (HUA) plan to build the plant on a south of Bremingshire Town. A site that has been selected is suitable because it is by the sea and cooling system needs a large amount of water.

Chuck Pinon, his deputy, has suggested feasibilities studies, public hearings and information campaigns be arranged before any decision is make. He will forward a proposal on the project to the cabinet for consideration after explaining the benefits of nuclear power plants to the public.

In related issued, many concerned citizen groups had voiced their objections to the project and demanded a genuine public consultation on whether Hundredstar should go down the path of adopting nuclear energy as a power source and not consultation at the stage when the ground has been laid to install the nuclear reactors.

Stevencousin commissions 6th Gladiator-class Destroyer

Stevencousin state television (STV) has reported the commissioning of the 3,900-tonne Gladiator-class Destroyer Franco de Cartyln. SDS Franco de Cartyln (pennant No.D198) is the 6th Gladiator-class Destroyer to be commissioned, having been the 10th laid down. The ship is expected to be assigned to the 7th Destroyer Squadron.

Unlike other recently commissioned Gladiator-class, Franco de Cartyln does not appear to be equipped with a variable depth sonar capability, thus it is likely to operate primarily as a general purpose destroyer. It is, however, armed with Eight x SEA - ACADEMIC -VL SAM, 16 x MUSEUM system (Medium-range Surface Effect Missile), EVO-5 127mm gun, two x 30mm KeeperSight CIWS, six x TOLAS - 5 (Torpedo Lightweight anti-Ship) torpedoes.

BRE Upgrades In 2016 Blingridge International Airport Saltbridge Airport Corporation (SaltAC) plans to upgrade Blingridge International Airport (BRE) in the next year, CEO of SaltAC, Dr. Guadalupe Castillo said, BRE has exceeded the capacity of handling 6.5 million passengers and plans to upgrade the airport is included in their Strategic Development Plan. "The upgrading of the BRE will begin next year and I believe it is timely because it will increase the number of tourist arrivals in Blingridge. He said the upgrading project will be implemented in phases, beginning with upgrading a terminal board. However, Dr Castillo did not disclose the cost of the upgrade. In conjunction with the Strategic Development Plan, SaltAC also prepared an Airport Environment Strategy and a Ground Transport Plan. During preparation of the Master Plan, SaltAC has worked closely with stakeholders including industry, airlines, the community and all levels of government.

Rustwell, SaltENERGY Signs MoU Review Saving Energy Initiative

Rustwell Farming Machinery and SaltENERGY, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to conduct a joint study on saving technologies and energy management systems. In a joint statement, the two companies said the scheme will be implemented in commercial buildings, and manufacturing plants owned or managed by Rustwell, SaltENERGY will use their expertise in the energy technology sector.

SaltENERGY will recommend appropriate resolutions to enable Rustwell continue saving and energy management as well as contribute to the constitution of a society that determines the production of carbon in Khantari.

If the collaboration is successful, both parties will bear on discussions for commercial purpose and the possibility of other joint projects.

Hundredstar Air Force fighters GF-71 Cloudstar
Saltbridge Air Force M.Cs 82 Deploy to Hundredstar for Bilateral Training Event

A dozen Saltbridge Air Force M.Cs 82s and some 157 personnel have been deployed at Hundredstar’s Razortree Air Base, Porthbran to take part in a bilateral exercise with the Hundredstar Air Force.

The two-week training exercise codenamed Porthbran Prowler, the purpose of the exercise is to conduct training and focus on maintain joint readiness while building interoperability, a Saltbridge Air Force spokesman has said. Hundredstar Air Force fighters GF-71 Cloudstar as well as GH1B Kala Helicopter will take part in the exercise together with 12 M.Cs 82 Eagle from the 2nd Fighter Squadron based at Fulington Air Force Base, Saltbridge.

The exercise, to be conducted in two phases, in December 2014 and March 15, also aims to contribute to increasing the theoretical, tactical and flight preparedness of air force staff and their readiness to participate in joint operations, the statement said. The Hundredstar Minister of Defense, Mr. Merrill Kasprak, visited the troops during the exercise and commended them for displaying professionalism and outstanding performance. He expressed the hope that the exercise would go a long way to promote unity and that with one voice they could combat global terrorism.

But, half way through the meeting, Assasions attempt to take out the World Leaders. Russian Dictator Venin Telfav blamed President Dunley, while he blamed Russia for the attack. Talbot have launched a special edition Horizon. The Horizon Eté Spéciale (it is French for summertime) is based on the 1.3 GLS, and offers the same equipment as the GL model, apart from gaining alloy wheels as standard, and a choice of yellow or orange paint with white or red stripes. A sun logo graphic can be added too, at additional cost

Power comes from a 1.3-litre/65bhp engine, which is good, but tuned for sportiness rather than comfort here; it should be good to drive.

At £5,658, it has a price premium of £850 over a standard model, but is worth it if you want a sporting hatch without the hot-hatch premiums. However, it costs a bit more than the GLS it's based on.

PMRF Terrorists Take Neyv

MIRONOR CITY - The People's Mironorese Revolutionary Force (PMRF), a Neo-Communist terrorist organization operating in North-Central Mironor, has captured the municipality of Neyv, the most populous municipality in Mironor's Unorganized Territory.

The terrorist group has been capturing more and more territory in recent months, with their territory having nearly quadrupled since 1 January. Additionally, they carried out cyber-attacks on websites of companies and/or government organizations in Kingston-Atlantis, Anareshka, SJT, and Corunia and Mironor. They also tried to assassinate SJT's President, Markus Witten, last month when he was visiting Corunis (capital of Corunia and Mironor) for Corunis Day, Corunia and Mironor's national day.

Despite Corunian Commonwealth forces re-capturing substantial amounts of PMRF-controlled territory on the southern, western, and northern areas of PMRF's territory, PMRF has been expanding to the east, and has captured Neyv, the most populous municipality in Mironor's Unorganized Territory, with a population of approximately 7000, which is over 1/10 of the Unorganized Territory's population.

After weeks of Roy Page's talks with the Syncretic Nationalist Party, Laredo has officially ended the embargo with the People's Republic of China.
Laredo has historically opposed communism, having never established diplomatic relations with the former Soviet Union and other communist states.
Hostilities between them and Cuba had even almost escalated into war during the late 1970's.
The revolution by the nationalists 29 years ago had done nothing to improve trade and diplomatic relations even though the previous government had been overthrown.

However many say that Laredo's attempts at improved communication are not due to the realization of China's economic reforms alone.
Laredoan state news is reported to have mentioned that the People's Republic is strongly against religious extremism, also going on to mention that Laredo hopes to receive permission so that they may aid groups in China pushing for LGBT rights and anti-discrimination laws.

The government of Beterland has decided to withdraw from the unified European sanctions against the Russian Federation. Reason is that there is no justified act of aggression against Beterland by Russia and that therefore the sanctions are void. Other European countries reacted in ''disgust'' and hope that ''Beterland will come back to her senses''. Meanwhile, the Russian Federation applauded the choice and they will stop their sanctions at Beterland. The economy of Beterland will be expected to grow, and so, hopefully, will the new currency of Beterland after it has withdrawn from the Euro.

Balna releases new Volkswagen-based MPV

If you thought this was a Volkswagen Sharan, think again. For the Brazilian, Mexican, Argentinean and Chilean markets, Balna have released the Sekvantaro MPV.
Named for the Esperanto word for "entourage", this plush MPV looks the business, gaining a chrome grille, and has some styling tweaks, to further differentiate itself from its German Volkswagen Sharan and Spanish SEAT Alhambra twins.

Under the bonnet, though, is where the differences really lie; no small-blown 1.4 turbos, or indeed, any VW petrol engines, for that matter, not even the awesome 2.0 TSI turbo petrol; instead, buyers get a choice of a 2.0-litre/136bhp 4-cylinder petrol, a 2.0-litre/217hp 4-cylinder turbo, a 3.2-litre/204bhp V6 or a 3.6-litre/281bhp V6 petrol. Turbodiesel engines available are a mixture of Balna and Volkswagen-sourced engines, and we expect these to be the big sellers.

Strike in Canton Ended by OTC Security Personnel

A eight day strike at a pharmaceutical factory in Canton was ended yesterday after security personnel of the Oriental Trading Company dispersed a crowd of disgruntled workers blockading the building. No injuries have been reported to the local authorities. Sir Anthony Cockburn, the director of the OTC, said that he was pleased with the peaceful resolution of the labour dispute. The striking workers have been permanently dismissed and replaced by employees from other OTC factories until new workers can be hired.

Land Rover have updated the Range Rover with some changes for 1993, although you'd be hard-pressed to notice them. This also applies to the three-door version, which continues, 7 years after it stopped being sold in the United Kingdom, but in Astholm, it's still around, due to its popularity with the posh set who live in town houses in the city and go to nightclubs. Not that it will discredit its off-road credentials. Then again, most of its buyers don't care about off-road ability, preferring its image.

Our test car had the 2.5-litre/111bhp 4-cylinder, same as that found in the Vogue 5-door, and it's a decent engine to drive, and highly advanced. It's a VM Motori unit, so it's reliable and should be good.

Inside, it's well-equipped, and Vogue trim offers you a lot of equipment for the money.

Thanks to lightweight power steering and a small thickly padded wheel, the '93 car is a whole lot more manoeuvrable than its 1970 forebear, feeling more lightweight on its toes. Come the first corner, it still suffers from body roll, but far less so than the early car - and thanks to steering that's more road-biased, you always feel just that little bit more in control.

On the whole, it's a good car, but it's let down by build quality which isn't as good as we'd hoped from a brand like this, plus the over-assisted steering lacks feel, so

At £25,835, it's £950 less than the equivalent five-door model, but none the worse for it.

However, it lacks the practicality of the five-door.
