Welcome to the Masquerade Ball!
An important event which welcomes the new year jointly with the national masquerade carnival happening simultaneously across the city and the rest of the nation as a millenary national event and tradition to welcome the new year; as tradition demands in Mervay that The Royal Families of either Mervay or the Autonomous Territory of The Grand Duchy of Ardens; or that the noble and aristocratic families organizes the ball that happens in simultaneous with the carnival through a selection, this year's ball has fell to the House of Devienne, heads of the Autonomous Duchy. But that's history to be told later on in the RP, what's important here is about that this event will also be blessed with the opportunity to with a meteor shower alongside the main event in which the guests will be able to dance, have a talk and know more about Mervay's High Society and the Mervayan Hospitality.

Of course like every NS event and this one being no exception, here comes the rules.

1. No Godmodding, Metagaming or similar stuff. No exceptions.

1.1. If you suspect someone of being guilty of breaking any of these rules, bring it to our attention here.
1.2. NS Forumn Rules Applies here so let's make sure it stays PG-13.
1.3. OOC on the OOC-thread, IC on the IC-thread.

2. All NPCs from Mervay will be controlled by me and only by me. No Exceptions.
3. As much as I love some murder story happening in events similar like these; no murders.

3.1. Violence between player characters only after both involved players agreed to it through. However, be aware, that the local security will be very quick to dissolve such occurrences; no matter what. No exception.

4. Permitted Characters:

4.1. As this a high society party made by royalty, everyone from it going from heads of state, government officials, industrialists, aristocrats, intellectuals, celebrities and so on is welcome; of course this isn't an political event and more an event of leisure and fun so take that in mind.
4.2. Dress Code: White Tie. As recommended for the occasion the clothes have to be of white tie, however if not possible, a formal wear replacement is recommended; of course a mask is mandatory as it would defeat the purpose of the event, but bear in mind it has to go with the event and the clothes; and yes cultural masks are allowed if one wants to bring one. I also ask you to keep it PG-13.
4.3. Weapons: Ceremonial Swords at most. No exception.
4.4. Security: There is no need to bring any bodyguards with you as we got that covered perfectly. Nothing will happen, that would require you to have any bodyguards along (safe for cases of Rule 3.1., but that'll be your own fault). In other words, you are not allowed to bring bodyguards with you. No exception.
4.5. Your characters must be original. You can use the images of whoever you want, but the characters themselves must be original. No exception.
4.6. Your character image may be up to 550 by 550 pixels large or hotlinked; other option is to it having an spoiler. The character you are applying with must be easily identifiable. Anime Artwork is permitted. No exception.
4.7. One Character, one filled out RSVP. No exception.
4.8. No magic. Non-human humanoids are permitted, however within reason. No exception.
4.9. The question "Have you read and understood the Rules?" is to be answered with "By Midnight's Light!" No exception.

5. RP-Sample: The RP-Sample has to be a link to a RP, which you participated in recently, which shows, how you work with other players, from the account you are applying with. On a case-by-case basis, NS Social Media Posts are allowed. No exception.
6. Your characters will start on the dance hall of the castle to make easy the process. No exception.

There's a certain something your application is missing, so I suggest checking the rules. Not sure if the roleplay sample works, but that's Mervay's discretion; only qualm is that you, ah, posted before Mervay actually accepted you.

Looks like that's going to be a little delayed, sorry dudes. (My college transcript's screwed up and I'm currently juggling half a dozen email chains trying to unscrew it, things are stressful.)
