It's Macks & Amir for Polkopia!

The Landa vy Polkopiya has just concluded and after a nail-biting show, the result stands that Macks and Amir are to represent the Allied States of Polkopia with their song, "Davai Polkopiya", which will be sung in the Polkopian and English languages respectively. The song finished first in the Jury votes, earning top marks from four out of the seven international jurors, and placed first in the televote by three points, making this edition of the Landa vy Polkopiya one of the closest editions in the history of the contest thus far! As it stands, the song that finished second place, Overload, is set to represent Polkopia at the World Hit Festival, following Polkopia's return to the song competition, which was announced hours before the Grand Finale of the Landa vy Polkopiya.

The song, Davai Polkopiya, has already broken several records in Polkopia, including the most streams in a 24-hour period following its official release, and the most views for an up-and-coming artist(s). The song was originally released to celebrate the nation's return to the World Cup after over a decade of not taking part in the international sporting event. However, with the revitalized vigor in supporting their national team for the upcoming tournament, the pair hopes to bring plenty of energy to the Worldvision stage in a few weeks. Collaboration with the PNB is already underway to bring about an unforgettable stage performance, with the hopes of bringing the Worldvision trophy to Polkopia once again.

Bloodbath Generation is Back (and actually competing this time)

After a 13-edition break from competition, Bloodbath Generation is coming back! In its heyday, the nation was a constant presence in the higher ranks, but has fallen from grace in recent editions due to unprepared delegations and other issues.

This year, a small national final, BG Selects, will be held. The broadcaster, BGBC, aimed to attract a diversity of genres and artists. It is open to international voting: nations wanting to participate should send their ranking presented as a top 3 to Bloodbath Generation

ENTRY 1: FREE by the cast of "LABAS/LABAN", to the tune of This is Me from the Greatest Showman

This song is the National Theatre Award winner for Best Composition and Performance. It was selected due to its already-tested performance and quality, but is a far cry from the radio-friendly music usually found in this contest.

ENTRY 2: THEME by the cast of LOOKING FOR THE GROUP, to the tune of Nekkoya from Produce 48 s3

This is the theme song from the broadcaster's new girl group formation show- catchy, poppy, but lacks some of the passion and soul of the other songs.

ENTRY 3: A NEW WOMAN, by CERESA, to the tune of Laissez Moi Danser by Dalida

Disco legend Ceresa is back at the age of 53 with her first new release in ten years. Hearkening back to her glory days, this is a carefree song about finding ones identity and enjoying their best life.

ENTRY 4: ACADEMICA by PETR HORA, to the tune of Nandeyanen by Masatoshi Hamada

A popular comedian, Petr Hora throws away all notions of gender as he embraces all things feminine and cute. Gaining success from its viral music video, this is a sure winner of the televote- but will juries react as strongly?

ENTRY 5: LA NAIBA (Damnit) by SVETLANA DARKO, to the tune of Dok Mirno Spavas by Katarina Grujic

The obligatory "sexy" performance of the night, La Naiba is a competently performed song reflective of the Northern Region's nitro-trad music style. Mixing urban beats with social commentary, this is one to be judged beyond the tight catsuits and seductive dance moves.

Voting will be open for five days, ending on July 7.

You need to have participated in the last election. A Committee Member generally updates threads, maintains the Committee account, keeps tracks of voting, and applies the rules (e.g. discipline people) where necessary.

the last edition I assume you mean?

Everything else Electrum said is pretty much correct, and if you're on our Discord server (so far all active committee members since it was established were server members during their terms) then your power is extended as a mod there (though it's not really an obligation to join the server and it's more of a secondary thing).

As far as I remember you participated in the last edition (correct me if I'm wrong), so if you're interested feel free to declare candidacy.

I would like to run for WV Commitee.

I have participated in WV since WV44 (although i also withdrew for some editions) and hopefully with my knowledge and experience i, alongside the future committee members, can revitalize WV and bring it back to it's glorious era.

My programs:
-Encourage committee members and other senior players to give advice for new nations who wanted to participate.
-Engage discussions between committee members and regular players regarding WorldVision, and taking advice and criticisms.
-And most importantly, make WorldVision a fun place for all to participate.
