Sure! if my contestants won. i think svet! song will disqualify due to it's singer's age. Maybe 5 and the coordinator of WorldVision is wrongfully selected this child.

Sorry, I don't understand what you're trying to say?

I'm looking forward to your participation in WV66, but you cannot bid for WV66. If you participate until the end, you can bid for WV67.

Also, I see your name — are you Indonesian? I'm an Indonesian speaker and I can send you a telegram if you need help.

Alexandra Cohen for Raffiah

After an exciting Kdam-Worldvision, ASHRA can now confirm that Alexandra Cohen will represent Raffia in the 66th WorldVision Song Contest. Her song "Frozen" will now be rewritten into an bilingual English and Hebrew pop-song, and renamed after another Kdam entrant "Dialects". Picking up top marks from 3 of the international juries, Alexandra said "I can't believe I won! Of course I always believed in my song, but to see my dreams realised its crazy! Now I can't wait to go to WorldVision!". Runner up Sasha Dina will head to the 40th World Hit Festival in Mousiki, Izmedu.

Axuva Today Network [ATN] Today we announce that the Axuvian Government now recognizes The Russian Language as an Official Language, Korean and English were spoken in the beginning, but there were Russians too, russians were forgotten and their language were not recognized due to the things they did in the past, but now their language is a official language of Axuva, and there will now be 3 official languages instead of two.

Hi there. I'm not really that good at taking part in these contests in terms of describing performances and such, but I wondered if I could send a couple of characters who would be in the audience and post their reactions, which might also appear in our regional news thread and the like? I've done this before and I think people liked it. If it would be distracting I quite understand.

WorldVision Song Contest 66: Telm City

Postby Britonisea » Sat Jun 30, 2018 2:14 pm

OFFICIAL DOCUMENTATION FOR THE HOSTING RIGHTS OF THE 66th WORLDVISION SONG CONTEST IN TELM CITY, BRITONISEA

Britonisea, for the first time since the 57th WorldVision Song Contest, will be bidding to host the competition - The WorldVision Song Contest - in Telm City, the second largest city in the nation. This bid marks the 8th time that Britonisea has tried to host the competition [32, 35, 36, 41, 51, 56, 57, 66] and we most certainly hope that you will consider us going forward.

With the date of the competition being on Saturday the 28th July 2018 at 20:00, the competition will happen a day after Britonisea’s National Day, and since the National Day is happening on a Friday for the first time since 2012, you can expect the National Day celebrations to expand all the way through the weekend. We think that this would be a great time to come and explore Britonish culture. Britonisea also celebrates 35 editions since their WorldVision debut. We have a lot to celebrate, and so we would absolutely love for you to join us!

Telm City is a wonderful city along the eastern coast of Britonisea. Telm City is the former capital city of Britonisea, but remains the capital city of the Authority of Telm, which includes the cities of North Telm, South Telm, Cappehnyaden and of course Telm City itself. With a population of 5,060,021 people within the 11 boroughs the city boasts, Telm City would be a great city to host the 66th WorldVision Song Contest as it gives an accurate and enjoyable Britonish city-break experience, we can assure all fans will enjoy.

The Authority of Telm has tried to bid to host the competition in the City of North Telm - but that did not go very well. Regardless, it has been 35 editions since the debut of Britonisea, and Telm City has been waiting those 35 editions to finally get a chance to bid to host the competition, and as this opportunity has finally come up for the city (and probably won’t come up for another while), the City has promised to put on a fantastic show, showing the accommodating side to the city by making it easier for the fans who decide to come to Britonisea to enjoy their break in Telm City.

With a size just reaching 1,000 square miles, Telm City is the largest city in Britonisea, but this fact might turn you away from coming here. Despite being huge, Telm City has been well equip will all of things that you will need to get around the city without a hitch. The company that deals with transport in Telm City, Telm Transport Transit (TTT), has been working in the whole Authority for over 400 years, making it easy to not only travel around the city, but to different parts of the Authority that we would love for you to visit on your journey to Telm City. In the 1,000 square miles that makes up Telm City, you would be delighted to your pick of 450 train stations with four different systems which splits up the city to not overly confuse everything. For both trains and buses, there are a few lines that will take you around the whole system, and we call those trains “The Interlinks”.We would absolutely hate it if tourists who are wanting to enjoy their trip to WorldVision get lost, and so, during the trip we will invest in putting WorldVision stands or billboards at every one of the 450 train stations which can tell you which lines to use to get to your location. We will also have the official WorldVision Song Contest app - have a venue finder, which can tell you how to get from your location to WorldVision’s venue and of course, visa versa.

Image

If you must know, we plan for the contest to take place in Borough of Bloomsbury - one of the most prestige of the boroughs in Telm City. The Borough of Bloomsbury has a population of 722,100 making it one of the most populated of the boroughs, but it most definitely has one of the largest of spaces, meaning that it’s not too densely packed. The Borough of Bloomsbury has many different green areas, especially along the coast. Unlike Junterapten, Doportedas and Luton, Telm City does not have sandy beaches, but that does not mean you’re not able to enjoy the beautiful seas which points towards Britonisea’s neighbouring nations, Nightom and Kalmarlund. Specifically, the arena is located in the Grange district. More information about the arena is below…

Image

The Telm Arena is a state of the art space to host the 66th WorldVision Song Contest - and with a capacity of 23,000 people, the arena will be electric when everyone packs in there to enjoy all of the nations performing. The Telm Arena is situated around a beautiful water display where, in the bit that you can see in the image above, dip your feet and feel the coolness under your toes. If you wanted to go for a swim - especially on the hotter days - we can allow that - you might as well call it a lido!

Don't think that The Telm Arena is inexperienced to this sort of thing - oh no! The Telm Arena was the host of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2016 - the first edition of the national final - which saw Mini Surrey North take the victory over Rigas Jengiz. The Telm Arena is also set to return as one of the hosts for the upcoming Vha Mehlodhivestoile in 2019, and so The Telm Arena is a perfectly ready arena for a massive song contest such as the WorldVision Song Contest.

Image

We are picking a simple design for the WorldVision Song Contest 66 - but a stage that will be good enough for everyone in the audience to capture every moment of the competition. As you can see in the image that is above, there are many different panels that make up the LED wall in the back. In the image that you can see above, this is the LED walls moved apart. Yes, the LED panels can move. For the delegation, the LED panels will be moved on to one flat pane and delegations have the choice to move it. Furthermore, as you can see in the image above, there will be a large circular LED contraption on the top of the stage with masses of light rigs attached to it to make the best of the stage that we are building in Telm City. During the end of the postcards, the top of the postcard would be shown on the larger LED on that contraption, while the name of the song would be shown on the lower and smaller LED. Very technical - I am sorry. For more information about the postcards, though, please scroll down!

Image

The WorldVision Song Contest 66’s hosts, if we go to Britonisea, will be two familiar faces in the nation. In the past WorldVision Song Contests, we have used three hosts, two hosts and a single host in our previous hostings of the WorldVision Song Contest, but we have never had two hosts - one male and one female. This edition, BITC have chosen Cole Heiman and Frida Grover to be the potential hosts.

Cole Heiman: He was the tentative commentator for the 66th WorldVision Song Contest, and will be the commentator if the Britonish bid for the contest is unsuccessful. Cole Heiman was the Britonish spokesperson last edition, where he gave 12 points to Todlichebujoku. Cole Heiman is a television presenter (and an actor), which makes him a professional at this type of job. Cole can definitely handle a lot of pressure, of which he will have if the Telm City bid is successful. If Cole Heiman does en dup hosting the WorldVision Song Contest, Rigas Jengiz will commentate the WorldVision Song Contest with Mini Surrey North.

Frida Grover: She won the 63rd WorldVision Song Contest with 98 points, after receiving points from 14 different nations, including top points from Kalosia and Besen. Frida Grover is now used to performing in front of large stages - including the WorldVision Song Contest - and so she is ready for the challenge of hosting this exciting competition. Frida Grover will also be debuting her new single as the interval act if the bid gets chosen.

The 66th WorldVision Song Contest being held in Telm City would also mean that we would see some of the local acts get the spotlight on the stage. For the Opening Act, we plan to have quite the theatrical performance. Unlike in previous editions that we have hosted, a long nations parade would not happen, but during the Opening Act, we do plan to somehow feature all of the participating acts' flags - which you will all see if we go to Telm City for the WorldVision Song Contest.

You can find also find a picture of what the scoreboard might look like in Telm City. Of course, there might be some changes, but the concept will probably stay the same. At the end of the entry submissions, I will make a downloadable presentation available for all of you who wants to use the graphics from this edition for your own vote presenting.

Image

Image

As I keep on saying, I think that when it comes to making the postcards to something, I would prefer to do most of the work myself. Therefore, for this edition, I would like you to sit back and relax while I sort you out a simple but effective postcard which resembles the logo of this edition. The only work that you might have to do - and this is if you are dissatisfied with the postcard that I have done - is provide an unrippled version of your flag by sending it to me by sending it straight to my telegrams. Below, you can find an example of what the WorldVision Song Contest 66 postcards would look like using the entry from Britonisea in the 64th WorldVision Song Contest;

Image

Colours from your national flag will be used in the making of each of the postcards. I can easily find the colours that are on your flag by using a colour picker, and they will therefore make up how your camera will look. As you can see here - the orange from my flag is used as the top banner, with the red being used straight under it. Out of the colours on your flag, I will pick the combination that I think works best. I used the blue from my flag around the lens of the camera - and you can see the difference between the lens colour in the logo of the WorldVision Song Contest 66 in Telm and here. Moreover, your flag will be placed in the middle of the flag, slightly reduced in contrast and coloured differently. There is also an effect which tried to make it a more 3D lens rather than strongly 2D. Finally, on the right of the image, you can see your running order number.

Like I usually do, the postcards would come out in batches, and the likelihood of you getting a postcard will depend on whether you've given enough information on your post on the IC page (So, an artist name and a song title). Also, unless I am told otherwise, whatever you have as your flag on NationStates, I would assume is your national flag! These postcards will be linked on the IC page, rather than be visible on the IC, so the page isn't too clunky.

As you can see, Telm City is very much ready to host the 66th WorldVision Song Contest - and we would love to have you here!

Image

NOTE

When hosting the competition, I would opt to go for a hard-deadline, which means that everything needs to be in by 20:00 BST. Like the times that I have hosted in the past, I will make sure to express my full RP potential in to making the 66th WorldVision Song Contest. Also, I break up for the summer in only two weeks, and so I will have a lot of time on my hands to make sure that this WorldVision Song Contest is unforgettable in terms of it's content. I am ready and willing to host the contest.

ToBu for Committee

Hello, it's ToBu, aka Tod! I've been in WorldVision for a long while now, and hope to keep it a great place to exercise creativity and showcase music. Recently I've hosted WV63, having previously hosted WV36 and joint-hosted WV55 with Izmedu and Kalosia. I've also been on the Committee from time to time, since around WV40 or so.

My goals for the next term are:

  • Finalize that rules & consequences reform that we've been working on for a while; with summer in full swing, hopefully the Committee members will finally have the time to devote to discussing this matter.
  • A special edition just before WV69 that will celebrate the most beloved trashy entries of WorldVision. Polkopia and I have plans to parody the WV50 special edition by joint-hosting with Lactatia and Kasanova-Koratica (the WV50 special edition having been joint-hosted by our main nations). I'll probably have Kasanova-Koratica do a national final for it
  • A potential one-off event (perhaps a special edition??) where different nations come together to create different lyrics and performances for the same tune, and voting on the best package. This is essentially what Darkmania has called a "WorldVision Song Contest-spinoff".
  • Work with new members to ensure that WorldVision will continue running well into the future.

I'll also support other potential RPs based off of WorldVision nations and artists, ranging from a Lighthouse revival (where each nation is a person) to "WorldVision's Next Top Model". Because sometimes we just want to do something a little different :)

Anyway, thank you for reading, and I hope you'll consider me for the next Committee!

Tonight, 9 songs and 9 artists competed for the right to represent Izmedu in WorldVision 66. Following an intense round of international jury and televoting, a result has been achieved with 8 international juries making their voices heard for this Izmepisma. This represents an uptick from the previous edition and is the highest amount of international jury participation in a while. We are proud to announce that the winner is...

PRIAMAIKI - Maja osveta

Winning with 116 points (50 jury + 66 points), renowned girl group PRIAMAIKI fights off fierce competition against one of the closest Izmepisma Grand Finals in Izmeduan history. PRIAMAIKI were rewarded heavily the international jury, being voted on by 7 out of 8 juries and receiving top 3 votes from four of the juries that voted for them. However, multiple other songs performed just as well in the jury vote, leading to the televote to decide Izmedu's eventual song to WorldVision. In the end, PRIAMAIKI's victory was assured by a strong televote that held against favorites such as Adnos Lestadi, Sanja Vojvodic, and Jana Magdic. PRIAMAIKI were able to attain 181,000 votes (represented by 19.2% of the total Grand Final vote), giving them 66 televoting points that assured them the Izmepisma victory. PRIAMAIKI will enter intensive rehearsals in the lead-up to WorldVision.

Runner-up Sanja Vojvodic has been approached to possibly represent Izmedu in an as-of-yet decided World Hit Festival. She has indicated strong interest in doing so, and will confirm participation in a World Hit Festival of her choosing in the future. As of now, her first eligible World Hit Festival is to be WHF43.

We thank each and every international jury that voted in Izmepisma. This would not have been possible without your participation.

LLALTA TO RETURN TO THE 66th CONTEST
Image
Esther Gwynnifred - artist to represent Llalta at WorldVision
After the success of "Just Be You!" at the 65th WorldVision, Llalta is returning to the contest, this time represented by Esther Gwynnifred, a 22 year-old cashier and singer-songwriter. The contest received praise from Llaltese critics and the public, and had over 2,000 islanders tuning in to the prestigious contest. Shortly after the contest, the LBN, the Llaltese Broadcasting Network, confirmed the participation of Llalta in WorldVision, along with the World Hit Festival. However, this time Llalta was quick to find a participant; Esther Gwynnifred. She will sing something idk yet, a sweet, mellow tune that will hopefully make you cry.

Nation Name: Llalta

Hello! :) It's my first time joining this kind of event so I'm a little nervous.

Nation Name: Zitravgrad
Official Broadcaster: ZGTV (Run by Ministry of Media and Communication)
Song Title: Провиденский закат (Providenska Sunset)
Artist(s) Name(s): Anatoli Joseyevich Diebitsch
Tune: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRFScbISKDg

Anatoli Joseyevich Diebitsch (age 24) is a soloist from Zitravgradian Air Force Pop Opera Band, a pilot with a few notable operations on his service record and quite a celebrity among Zitravgradian youth. While famous for songs with patriotic theme, he has many songs of many different genres, especially pop opera and folk music. Contrary to his youthful, carefree look, his deep and smooth voice will amaze you, as it has endeared him to the audience back at home.

Togonistan for Committee

Hello everyone, Togo here. I'm here to announce that I will be running for the committee. First of all, for those of you who might not know me that well, here is a short backstory about who I am OOCly.

I joined NS in summer 2016, having been in various other roleplay communities before. However, my first WV debut came in WV55, when I ended up just missing that top 10 spot. On NS, along with Togonistan, I run 3 other nations: Cleaca, Kalmarlund and Kassegrochia. So far despite being ''newgen'' myself, I have won WV three times: twice with Togonistan and once with Kassegrochia. In general, I like to experiment with a wide variety of different genres, which is reflected by the fact that my first WV victory came with a rap entry, while another one was a hardstyle EDM song. I believe that literally any genre can do well in WV and, if the cards are being played right, why not even win. I have also hosted WV once, the 61st edition in Hwoarang.

But, enough about that. What really matters is not how many titles one has or how long they have been part of the WV community. Since the last committee term, we have seen multiple new faces rising up. A lot of new nations have joined the WV train, and more are coming, which is nothing but a positive thing. If I get elected, I will definitely continue to support new players as well as provide assistance to anyone having questions or problems. I believe that the committee, before everything else, should be mentors to new players who might find the whole thing a tad bit overwhelming at first.

However, another very important task for the committee is to keep the whole competition running smoothly from one edition to another. For this, a set of rules has been established over time to ensure that WV stays fun yet fair and well-organized. While I agree that there is definitely room for improvement, I also believe that the rules need to remain simple and easy to understand for everyone while still clearly covering all the standard (and non-standard) points that might happen during the editions. In my eyes, the whole WV regulation needs to be balanced between giving everyone an opportunity to RP their entries the way they want, while still keeping the competition fair and not letting it plunge into a total chaos.

While I am not going to bring out any specific points that I want to implement this term, I am definitely willing to keep my stance on these two main points I brought out in these two paragraphs above. Also, I will be encouraging any users in WV community to cooperate with the committee, whether it be by giving out new RP ideas or letting us know about certain users not wanting to play fair. The committee is doing it's best to keep WV a great and well-organized event it is, but support from the whole WV community is also needed to achieve these goals.

Thank you.
