So just to clear up a few things from MRX Television:

Having signed up, we understand a large amount of misinformation has been spread surrounding Mister X in the WorldVision Song Contest 66.

The artist will now be Danny Alonso, and the song has a yet-to-be-determined title. The tune has yet to be released. And no, that's not IC-ly, the tune I'm going for will be released on Friday. I've picked it based on a 14-second snippet. It's "Alive" by Union J.

As I wrote in WV65: Before you read this post, I aim to stress to you that the betting odds I present to you here are NOT wholly representative of my actual opinion of your song or even your nation. This is just a fun thing I had in mind I proposed in the discord chat as WV odds were done as early as WV36/37 by a nation named Talvezout. These odds are determined by your tune, voting history, your IC actions, etc. However, I am stressing now that these odds are not my OOC reflection of you. This is absolutely and purely IC (and IC wise, the site is a punters' haven where betting-minded fans have collated Izmeduan bookies odds and synthesized them here for you), but if these odds prove to be controversial, I am willing to replace this post with a news article promoting my entry.

Additionally, these odds are not impacted by the IC thread's posting. I know it is up but I have not yet read what is on there.

WorldVision 66: The State of Play

Calling the WorldVision winner market is a task that's perhaps better served for Todlichebujoki oracles than human punters hoping to score hard-earned cash. Of course, while WorldVision patterns can be roughly put down to a coherent science, the final results leave us more with surprises and questions than answers. If WorldVision 65 proves anything, WorldVision remains the champion of surprises. The winner (whose odds did not crash until the voting itself), Kassegrochia, was billed as a rank outsider pre-contest with reported pre-contest odds of 100/1 from Klarete, going as far as 200/1 with some Izmeduan bookies. It was not until during the in-play odds that the market reacted to the actual voting forces. However, the top 2 pre-contest (Todlichebujoku and Normandy and Picardy) did not come to pass. Indeed, the final top 4 (Kassegrochia-Izmedu-Adab-Llalta) shocked many Izmeduan bookies. I hoped you were able to grab them at profitable prices either pre-contest or during the show itself.

The Izmeduan WorldVision market is largely reactionary, as you'll see here. Nations that were originally priced with long odds in the previous contest are now offered at much lower prices. The previous top 4 fancies such as Llalta, Izmedu, and Adab all populate the higher echelons of the odds. However, the market has coalesced into vying for three entries that could well challenge for the position of WorldVision winner. We'll go through them one-by-one. A common theme should arise here though, the market things that after a shock debutante win from last edition, Izmeduan bookies are speculating strongly that it will be a more traditional champion to bring the trophy home. The question, who will it be?

The current top 3 in the market are all nations that have won the contest, have served/are serving in the WorldVision Committee, and have hosted the contest. The current favorite, Polkopia, is the current top fancy at 8/1. Polkopian entries tend to be traditionally favored by Izmeduan bettors and voters, but their current entry has caught bookies by storm. After Kassegrochia's stirring anthem won last edition, punters are thinking that a return towards the party anthem is precisely what WorldVision voters could be swinging for. Polkopia's past voting strength could well be coming back here off the back off a compelling win in the Landa vy Polkopiya. However, punters opposing the Polkopian song have noted that the country's recent form isn't ideal for a win campaign, but Polkopian campaigners remain staunch.

Coming on the heels of Polkopia is Togonistan at 9/1 and Electrum at 10/1. These two countries are widely considered to be more alternative choices should the Polkopian entry fail to catch favor with the voting public. Togonistan is especially being looked at for a possible third win, with their consolidating status as a WorldVision veteran and with a song that is right within their staging and musical wheelhouse. Punters believe that the current Togonistani entry has a chance to astound the world. If Togonistan's entry does not catch voters' imagination, then punters are believing that Sage can bring home the second victory for Electrum. At 10/1, an immense amount of money has been piled on Electrum since their comeback announcement and even moreso since Sage has won her country's national final. It is pop in the Electrum sense, akin to the Electrumite WV50 entry.

We at Klarete have no advisory as to who to back for the win. We encourage all punters, domestic and international, to bet responsibly and to consult as many markets as possible.

Lucie Dagenham, who had participated in the Cross Border Battle 2018, has backed out of representing Britonisea at the 66th WorldVision Song Contest after a family issue which needed her attention. She also stated she is interested to go to the WorldVision Song Contest some time in the future - or even the World Hit Festival. Kelsey Banques, who was announced as the World Hit Festival representative, will instead go to WorldVision Song Contest.
