WorldVision Song Contest 14 Signups

Well, WorldVision 13 is almost over, so it's about time to start the next signups. For those who have never participated before, here's the breakdown:

This is baisically an NS version of Eurovision, with the same basic structure of countries selecting, performing and voting on songs. Except this contest open to countries in any region. Countries paricipating in the contest are also allowed to enter a maximum of two puppet nations.

After the signups, the contest is done through two RP threads. The first is the national finals thread, in which all countries select their songs for the contest. The second thread is the actual contest, in which all the performances (with song lyrics), votings and other RP's are posted.

Oh, and one last thing, all songs in the contest must be original. No cover versions. Parodies are okay though.

I was going to get to that. I don't think Nanwe have participated before, so I didn't add them to the signups list.

Are they still participating, or do I take them off?

Take them off, is already a lot of work to write only a song as to do the same with two

The Mecian Host Bid for the WorldVision Song Contest 14
Image

The Mecian Radio and Air Company would like to host the 14th edition of the WorldVision Song Contest, aiming to have one of the best and most comfortable hosting cities for tourists and contestants alike.

Image

The contest would be held in the capital city of Rivrea, providing easier access to foreign visitors. Rivrea boasts many hotels ranging from budget to five-stars. There are also various tourist attractions that will assure everyone's stay in Rivrea to be meaningful, as well as culture-filled.

Image

The venue for the WorldVision Song Contest will be at the Parker's Stadium, which can hold 50 000 people in total.

Image

The stage for the contest will be large and colourful, which can be customised greatly. The LED screens on the stage can show anything the singers want during the song. A separate large screen will be used for the showing of videos, votes and other stuff.

The city also has a very organised public transport system which includes the Rivrean Bus Company and the Mecian Rapid Transit. Many RBC bus routes stop directly at, if not near, the stadium itself, and all the fleet are low-floor, for barrier-free access. There is a Parker's Stadium Station located directly underground the stadium, connecting the stadium to over 50 stops located in various locations in Rivrea.

OOC: I made one for L&K as well, to see how others might look like.

Postcards will make a return in the contest. Every country will have it's flag adapted on the flower on top of the postcard, 'Find Your Beat', the contest's slogan, will be translated into the country's national language. The singer's message will be typed on the bottom of the postcard.

We hope that this will convince you to vote for Meciene to be the hosts of the WorldVision Song Contest 14.

Amazing, it looks just like the WorldVision 10 venue in Cachette de Lions!

Otherwise it looks good though. Bonus points for not having the Eurovision heart in your logo.

Well, sorry :P. Remember, I've only been here from contest 12, so I don't know much.

Anyway, thanks!

WORLDVISION 14 SHAN LU BID

[float=right]Image[/float]The Worldvision song contest is great contest where the delegations of many different countries show their respective greatest artists and how their national music is, and so, what better than a multicultural cosmopolite city to hold it?

The city for this mission is Shan Lu, the capital of Shivat, a city of 10 million people, center of the finances and the government of Shivat, a city where the lights of cinemas and theatres are in every corner and in every ward. Also, the city has a vast and huge transportation network, including the Shan Lu Metro, one of the largest metro systems in the East Pacific, serving 6 million people every day and very well developed bus services. Also, the main station of the city, the Shan Lu Central Station, connects the underground system with the STX, the high-speed train service in Shivat.

[float=left]Image[/float]The event would be held in the Shan Lu Exhibition Place, a big stadium with a capacity of 50,000 people, used normally as place were the biggest political rallies and big concerts are held, the stadium is prepared to held much more people, around 80,000 if people doesn’t mind not to be sat and instead to be in the field of the stadium. The stadium is located in the Temsan-gu, one of the most notorious wards of the city, as is the center of the old imperial city, and where most old cultural buildings for classical music are located, for example the Shivat’s Republican Opera House, also is located next to the underground station of Exhibition Place, a major hub of the underground service in northwestern Shan Lu.

For this edition, no postcard will be created at least, at an individual level, rather there will be published a big postcard with the image of the logo over the stadium and around it, the different flags of the participant nations.

As an special feature and as the event would be held on an oriental nation, the event will be broadcasted in three languages rather than in two, this ones are English, French and Korean, the national language of Shivat, but if there is any problem with the annexation of this language for the broadcast, it can always be only subtitled rather than spoke.
