Socialism's goal, as Lenin said himself, is Communism. Whether that's wrapped in arab nationalism or not, im sure most here wouldn't shed a tear if a Baathist state found itself on the other end of a bomb or thousand. Personally speaking, I see no difference between variants 1 - 1,000,000 of Socialism from 1 - 1,000,000 of Communism - so I certainly wouldn't cry for them.
