"St Eedyets Television Incorporated" is not eligible to vote, since they haven't actually entered the contest.

Also, most of us hold off with the voting until all the entries are performed. Just saying...

13: Swilatia
Come Closer, by Lina Milajska

The stage is set up like a living room, with a sofa and a table, while the LED screens show a city skyline. Lina is alone on the stage, "sleeping" on the sofa through the first instrumental section. She "wakes up" in time for the first verse, which she sings still lying down on the sofa, looking at the LED screens as if she was looking through a window.

City lights shining bright
Lighting your way to me
You can still follow me
If you think we're still free

Lina stands up for this part, at first walking around the room slowly, but starting to move faster as the song speeds up. The LED screens, which Lina is no longer looking at, switch to a street view, with with an animated version of Lina Milajska walking in the street.

You take the first step
Because you know the way
And if it's not be be
You still know way to me
We're not that far apart
So don't forget now that
We're under same blue sky

The LED screens briefly flash a warning, in bold, red letters "do not attempt to re-produce the stunts performed in this video clip", and cuts to the animated Lina free-running on the rooftops of the city. The real Lina is also moving around a lot on stage, with a bit of jumping.

Through darkness
Through sunshine
Come closer, come
One more time
To my side
Come closer, come

Through darkness
Through sunshine
Come closer, come
One more time
To my side
Come closer, come

The animated Lina misses a jump and and falls towards ground. The clip gets cut off in the middle of her fall, while the real Lina is sitting on the sofa, possibly thinking about what had happened. The animated Lina seems to have survived the fall, and as now walking though the streets again. The real Lina is now looking though at the screens, suggesting that the two are now not far from each other.

Every night you ask why
We can't see one more time
You and I, side by side
I know it can be done

When you still try again
I wait for you to come
Stand in the light
Shining at all the world
Soon we'll be see again
Whole world can throw at us
Won't keep us far apart

The animated Lina is now running up a fire escape, possibly that of the building being represented by the stage.

Through darkness
Through sunshine
Come closer, come
One more time
To my side
Come closer, come

Through darkness
Through sunshine
Come closer, come
One more time
To my side
Come closer, come

The screens now show the same skyline view as at the start of the song - but with the animated Lina as if she was standing right in front of the window, with her han on the glass. The real and animated Lina wave to each other as the music stops.

14: Iglesian Archipelago
Don't Worry, by Varyvela Alyera

It all happens in a school in an unnamed city (it's a computer-generated school on one of various LED screens). Varyvela, long-haired, appears dressed normally like a school student, and begins to sing this:

Today I've fallen in love
But I know why I did
Awesome boys appear
Who give me a dove

Don't worry
I don't need to say "Hurry!"
Take time and go out
I know how it happens...

When I go to school
I've always seen boys
They're better than my toys
They deserve to go out with me

Don't worry
'Cause they also don't worry
But I wanna be with them
And I don't need the others' permission...

She strips her coat, showing a sky blue tank top with flowers over a pink bikini with flowers and begins to sing this chorus (note that the chorus is in bold):

Don't worry
'Cause I know what to do
Well, I wanna go out too
'Cause I'm gonna stay

With someone
I know he's the one
To stay with him all night
To even sleep with him...

The chorus ends:

It's in this school
Where I know somebody
I wanna show my body
To impress their eyes

Don't worry
I say it's time to see
Who goes out with me
'Cause I wanna escape from school...

A school
It's just a boring place
And the best place
Is my boyfriend's house

Don't worry
I still don't know my boyfriend
Though I have to say "Hurry!"
Otherwise I don't know what to say...

Now, she strips her tank top and her jeans, leaving only her pink bikini with flowers. She sings this chorus twice (in the first part of the chorus, she walks from her school to a house. The second part of the chorus is a tone higher. It's also in the second part of the chorus where an ideal, highly muscled boy appears only with his jeans. The place in this part is no longer a school, but a house, at night, with the moon, presumably the singer's):

Don't worry
'Cause I know what to do
Well, I wanna go out too
'Cause I'm gonna stay

With someone
I know he's the one
To stay with him all night
To even sleep with him...

Then, the lights turn off, with only the LED screens (the house and its background) being switched on.

Four singers are performing Zwangzug's song: Eileen Baudelaire, Rod Sampson, Amy Verlander, and Patrick Eogham.

Eileen: I want to shake the world
I want to make a stand.
We all will raise our fists
I'm gonna raise my hand.

They cannot keep us down
The future lies in store
I'm sick of their closed hearts
Won't take it anymore.

We're gonna change the world
I want to end their lies.
Patrick: I want what you're having
And I want it with fries.

Amy, Eileen, and Rod: With fries?
Patrick: With fries!
I'm sure you can surmise
There's nothing under your red skies
That cannot be improved
With fries.

Rod: I want to hold her hand
I want to go away
Somewhere we'll stay awake
Past midnight till the day.

To leave it all behind
Surrender to her touch.
That's all I really want
It isn't all that much.

Forget about the world
Just stare into her eyes.
Patrick: I want what you're having
And I want it with fries.

Amy, Eileen, and Rod: With fries?
Patrick: With fries!
A word unto the wise
There's nothing under your blue skies
That cannot be improved
With fries.

Amy: I want to be myself
And never have to doubt
There's truth that I can reach.
I want to sort it out.

Discover what I can
And never be afraid.
Be celebrated for
The choices that I've made.

To give my best and seek
The chance to win the prize.
Patrick: I want what you're having
And I want it with fries.

Amy, Eileen, and Rod: With fries?
Patrick: With fries!
They come in every size.
There's nothing under your black skies
That one can not improve
Amy: There's so much left to prove
Eileen: We'll make the tyrants move
Rod: I'm holding out for love
Amy, Eileen, and Rod: There's so much to dream of
Patrick: I'm just saying,
It's better still
With fries!

WorldVision Song Contest Coverage

(Performance 12/ Mossulia)

Stanowski: What you just saw was The Seaplanes of the North... of Mossulia. With a song about telephones and how evil they are. And you know, maybe they're right. Maybe we should disconnect all electricity to our houses and live like cavemans, just so we don't have to worry about hearing our phones ring from time to time. Idiots.

Jamazka: Not like it would work anyway. I only plug my phone in for an hour a day, but I still get lots of calls. None of them from god, I think.

Stanowski: Don't be silly, we both know that there is no god. But I guess that's not how it works for these primitives who must have their phones plugged in each night and every day. I bet they still use cassette players, too.

Jamazka: 12 points from Orlkjestad, then? You can vote for this too, but that will probably be hard to do, if you actually unplugged all of your stuff, like they told you to... in which case, just how the hell are you still able to watch this?

Stanowski: Probably on some old black-and-white TV with like a huge tube behind it... Yeah, I would have thought that you only see those things in museums now, but then you have those countries with the phones that are... whatever. For those of us who haven't unplugged our TV's, here' the next entry!

(Performance 13/ Swilatia)

Jamazka: Yeah, that was our latest effort. Do I really need to tell you not to vote for it? The system's been the same for as long as I can remember. You had the chance to vote for it during piosenka dla Swilasji, and I can bet that a lot of you did.

Stanowski: Well, we can't vote for it, but the other countries can... will they? I somehow think we'll do even worse than last year. And we didn't do all that well last year.

Jamazka: Sure we did! We still finished in the top 4, we don't need to be there every year. When's the last time we've had an actual bad resut... WorldVision 5? It's not like we need to win again, we already have 4 titles, more than any other country has, or needs.

Stanowski: Yeah... that's what we were all saying in WorldVision 13. Then Cachette de Lions came along with their third and we all wanted a fourth title for Swilatia. You never know when they might come back, put our record in danger again.

Jamazka: Like, how. Cachette de Lions aren't getting it this year, Rejistania isn't even taking part this year. Those other nations with any titles at all, it will take them years to catch up. If they even come back to the contest.

Rommel Sat in the bar Qiutely enjoying a Drink by himself waiting for other contestents to enter so he could spark up a convosation. the only thing on his mind which worried him was that his song would be misinturpreted as something evil rather then simply a song about love at first sight. Either way he sat Pateintly drinking his shot of Vodka.

OOC: To use spell check, on Safari, click the Edit tab, and you will see a whole bunch of links. Once you see "Spelling and Grammar," go there, and click on "Show Spelling and Grammar." It will then show the mispellings. =)

IC: Meanwhile, in the Greenroom, Sanh Yong was hopeful that she could win the WorldVision, but doubted it. However, she knew the risks, and the less chance. Still, she hoped to win.

OOC notes: Song is in four languages, Nord-Brutlandese (a conlang), English, Tagalog, and Saotivallian (it looks like broken Portuguese, but ICly it's a language spoken in the grant of Saotivalles in Brutland). For clarity, the words that are sung ICly are in bold italic and colored blue for Nord-Brutlandese, orange for English, red for Tagalog, and green for Saotivallian. Translations are in the grey small prints, which in the chorus may differ due to differing translations.

la Lingúe d'Amore, by Linguaglossa

(slow strumming of the guitar)

Soft lights begin to illuminate the stage as a spotlight focuses on Kyle.

Kyle (whispering voice)
Oàmellece aniuno me… Qui s’la lingúe d’amore?
Can anybody tell me… What is the language of love?
Quam me oaìmparecce il? Quam me oàsprattecce il?
How can I learn it? How can I speak it?
Passi me sece innecche non me oàtraduzece
These I want to know so I can translate
Passi feltri con me ici, inte la lingúe d’amore.
These feelings that I have, into the language of love.

(Tempo picks up as bass and drums enter and the stage is flooded with lights.)
Kyle looks and strides towards Lorelei and sings to her.

Kyle (stronger voice)
Quam me oaèsprezionecu mi amore manna per tu?
How can I express my great love for you?
E quam me braval oàmelle mi feltri profunda per tu?
And how can I bravely tell my profound feelings for you?
S’il par palabbi lancecce, par affettuosi dolcha,
Is it through uttered words, through sweet endearment,
O sellu sincra d’amore? Me sognece la lingúe d’amore…
or sincere letters of love? I need the language of love…

Kyle turns his attention to the audience to ask the question.

Chorus (Kyle, with Sir Nudge as backup vocals)
Pakisagot ang tanong ko… ano’ng wika ng pag-ibig?
Please answer my question… What is the language of love?
Paano ito natututunan at binibigkas?
How is it learnt or spoken?
Gusto ko itong malaman upang maiparating ko
These I want to know so I can communicate
Ang aking mga saloobin sa wika ng pag-ibig.
These feelings that I have in language of love.

(drums fade, bass slows, second guitar enters)
(lights soften, spotlight on Lorelei)

Lorelei looks lovingly at Kyle.

Lorelei (wistful voice)
Quam me oaèsprezionecu mi amore manna per tu?
How can I express my great love for you?
Quam me oàfacciecu tu feltrece con me amorece tu?
How can I make you feel that I love you?
Par gestaru e lambinu, ugeru e rassicuru?
Through gestures and caresses, hugs and kisses?
Hoci suffirceche o me sogneche la lingúe d’amore?
Will these suffice or will I need the language of love?

(drums reenter, bass and guitar speed up tempo)
(lights flood the stage again as Lorelei addresses the audience)

Chorus (Lorelei, with Junky as backup vocals)
Qualquer um possam diçam me… Que é a língua do amor?
Can anybody tell me… What is the language of love?
Como eu poderei aprenderei e falarei ele?
How can I learn and speak it?
Estes eu quero saber então eu poderei traduzirei
These I want to know so I can translate
Estes doces sentimentos em a língua do amor.
These sweet feelings into the language of love.

(Instrumentals follow as Kyle and Lorelei get closer together in the stage. As the instrumentals end, the light dims and a lone spotlight focuses on the couple.)

Kyle (whispers)
Me amorece tu.
Lorelei (whispers)
I love you.
Kyle
Mahal kita.
Lorelei
Eu te amo.

Chorus (Kyle and Lorelei)
Oh, can anybody please tell me, what is the language of love?
How can I learn it? How can I speak it? How can I master it?
All of these I want to know so that I can translate and express
These feelings and thoughts that I have into the great language of love.

(drums shift to a tempo of a march and dictate the instrumentals, the syllables of the first coda in synchrony with the beats)

Lorelei
Sim, sim, sim, sim, sim, sim, sim, SIM!
Kyle
Oo, oo, oo, oo, oo, oo, oo, oo, OO!
Lorelei
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, YEAH!
Kyle
Si, si, si, si, si, si, si, SI!
Lorelei
(per) Amo---------------------------------re, my love

(drums break the marching rhythm and the bass and guitar take over)

Kyle
Mi serru dell’oàdecifrece tu
My ears cannot understand you
Non mi cuore oàcomprendece tu
But my heart can comprehend you

Lorelei
(per) Amo---------------------------------re, my love

Kyle and Lorelei (to each other)
Me imparecci con la lingúe d’amore
I have learned that the language of love
Della sprattecci via l’orio
Is not spoken by the mouth
Non risonanzeco par la cuore
But resonates through the heart

(drums and bass cease)
(guilars slows to fade)
(lights fade)

17: Cachette de Lions
Fille d'Ève and Fierce Bitch - "Le mieux"

Just for all of you getting confused, Fierce Bitch is the stage name of one of Cachette de Lions' most prominent female singers, whose real name is Anne Desjardins, which is admittedly a lot less fierce. Fille d'Ève (literally meaning Daughter of Eve) is a popular Cachettian all-female pop-rock group. Their lead singer sings the chorus, while Fierce Bitch sings the verses and bridge.

"Le mieux" is a dance song with hip-hop influences, with the verses being sung in a style halfway between singing and rap. As the song begins, the LED backdrop begins showing the words "Le mieux", which then flashes up rapidly translated into all the languages of the participating countries. Fierce Bitch, in a pink tank top and jeans with short blonde hair, sings the first verse:

Tu m'as dit hier que tu m'aimes mais ce n'est pas vrai
J'en ai marre de tes mensonges, c'est pour ça que j'irai
Tu me dis que tu chang'ras, c'est tout dans le passé
Ne me prends pour un sot, c'est toi qui s'ra seul, bébé
(Woah woah)
Et alors ce soir je courrai
(Woah woah)
Le dommage est déjà fait

The backdrop changes to images of peoples' eyes, changing rapidly between many different images, while the chorus is sung:

Moi, je vais dans le monde
Chercher un nouveau amour
Mais il faut comprendre
Que je cherche seulement le mieux
J'en ai marre des hommes qui pensent
Qu'il ne faut pas qu'ils s'en foutissent
Alors, j'ai besoin du mieux
Woah, le mieux

For the second verse and chorus, the LED screens show the members of the band dancing, interspersed with shots of them holding up signs with 'Le mieux' written on them.

The lights go off briefly, with spotlights on the band members as Fierce Bitch sings the bridge:

Ecoute-moi
Je dis au revoir

Strobe lights then come on for 5 seconds before fireworks explode around the stage and the backdrop begins to show the members of the band dancing again during the final chorus.

Merci Sirushostan! On vous aime!

This Wasn't Meant To Be A Love Song, by Anna Hrönn Kjartansdóttir

The song is performed with a very simple staging, just Anna and an acoustic guitar, with 5 backing vocalists stood to her left. The song is a guitar-driven mid-tempo pop song.

I never wanted to write these words
I never wanted to sing this song
I hope you don't get the wrong idea
'Cause it don't mean things are going wrong
It's such a beautiful day today
My life has entered a brand new phase
And it's a miracle I met you
So that's why I just wanted to say

This wasn't meant to be a love song
I never thought I'd find a love like I have now
But now I know
And it feels so right
Let's feel this love tonight

I always thought I would be alone
I never dreamed I would hold your hand
If I am sleeping, I don't ever want to wake
I just want you to understand
You changed my life, you gave me reason
I smile whenever I see your face
And it's amazing that you're with me
So that's why I just wanted to say

This wasn't meant to be a love song
I never thought I'd find a love like I have now, woah
And if it all should end tomorrow
I'd still believe I'd had it all
Just let me tell you

You are the dawn that breaks
You are the moonlight in the night
You're everything that's going right, yeah
I thought there'd be no one
To hold me close and love me too
But then I finally found you

And this wasn't meant to be a love song
But I just have to explain how I'm feeling now
And if it all should end tomorrow
I'd still believe I'd had it all
'Cause now I know
And it feels so right
And I feel your love tonight

This feels so right
And I feel your love tonight

WorldVision Song Contest Coverage

(Performance 14/ Iglesian Archipelago)

Stanowski: Poor Iglesian Archipelago. They've lost all their friends, all their points, and finished in last place. Most countries would just give up at this point, but no. The Iglesians are back for more of this. Their entry this time around was teenage stripper Vary Vela Al... one of those Iglesianic names I always mess up. She sings about escaping school and going to her boyfriend's house to, er, come live the nature with him.

Jamazka: Yeah, we've all been there. It's, what 10 years since they actually sang those words. It's nothing special any more. You can always count on terrible English lyrics from the Iglesians.

Stanowski: I can't say we've seen anything quite as amazingly bad as their first entry. But yeah, maybe that's just how much of it we've seen. Same stuff year after year.

Jamazka: Well, if you want to escape your school, well, the door's right there. Though I have to ask who the hell goes to school on a saturday evening. If you want to vote for this, or anything before it, the lines are still open and will be until 15 minutes after the last song. But I definitely don't blame her for wanting to escape, since students at her school apparantly have to wear a coat in the middle of summer.

Stanowski: Yeah, I don't know why this is called don't worry, if I went to school there, I'd worry about dying from the heat. Oh, and since I know some people are going to ask about the "complete work", keep in mind that it might be illegal in some of the other paticipating countries.

(Performance 15/ Zwangzug)

Jamazka: Like, Seriously, is this real? Zwangzug, without the piano? With something I might actually vote for? Some-one here wake me up. Or should I take back what we said before. Just, OCR... that's 3 letters, but there's 4 of them. This can't make any sense.

Stanowski: Hey, why would it? This is WorldVision after all. But no, let's not. It's not like we can take back what the guys before us said. And the people before that. And before that. If anything, they'll go back to the piano stuff next year. Why would they kill a 100-year-old tradition?

Jamazka: Okay, I'll vote for this while it lasts. But, why would they send a song about fries? Sure, it's our nation's most popular street food, but that's, like, who writes a song about something you can get just about anywhere you go? Damn, now I want to play the take-away game again.

Stanowski: It isn't really about fries, it's about changing stuff. They've had songs about all sorts of strange things. Pendulums, Hats, Leaving School, Cities... now? I guess it would be easier to tell if those songs didn't all sound the same. Well, the last one didn't sound the same, it sounded much, much worse.

Jamazka: That's like what, 3 entries, not a whole lot considering how long they've been in this thing. But I guess I ought to vote for this, or they'll bring back the old crap. So if you want to vote for this, you can go on the WorldVision voting website. The link is on the screen as always. It's not the same as the official SBC 3 website, where you'll find out take-away games.

(Performance 16/ Brutland and Norden)

Stanowski: Yeah, now that was great! The take-away game, that is. This entry from Brutland and Norden was terrible. They go missing for 15 years and come out with this? Then again, if they've been gone for so long, this might as well be a debut entry. Only us and Zwangzug were there to see their real debut. I don't think either of us remember what it is.

Jamazka: Do we even want to know what it was? I wouldn't know about this kind of stuff, but I'd bet it's even worse then this one. I mean, they just sing the same thing over and over, like what is the language of love, and whatever. I know for sure it's not any of the ones you sang in.

Stanowski: I think they've decided that their Nord-Brutlandese is the language of love since that's what they sing that last part in. Thankfull they don't sing that part in 4 different languages, and they don't even sing it in English, so I don't have to know what it means, now can we move on the next song.

Jamazka: Well, we still have som time left before that starts... I guess I still have to remind people about the voting site. The link's only been up there after like every song, but whatever. Oh, and come watch our take-away game if you have time. It's the only way we could have surivived that terrible song.

Stanowski: Yeah, that was great, this song wasn't. We should do another one before the show is done. Now, we've done chinese, we've done fries... what now? I guess we'll... okay, we don't have much time left, here's the next song.

The noob scoring system

The n00b scoring system. It was devised by proffesor fruitystine after a drunk afternoon at the university of Educational Education for students. He created it and it states that you must score stuff on a scale of "freaking awesome because it's funny and stuff and I'm a n00by n00b who likes it whoa!" to "That was sensible n stuff and I don't like it!". With that the WorldVision teams were scored by Mossulia.

One point to KINGSLEY BEDFORD because they were host and we would hate to be hit by a death bomb.
Two point to Albertasy for making a song that was cheesy and we were running out of bands to rate.
Three points to Swilatia because they seem important and they scare us.
Four points to Valcluse for singing something cheesy.
Five points to Iglesian Archipelago for writing a happy happy song
Six points to Tropicarno because they wrote a song about dropping bombs on love.
Seven points to Cachette de Lions because we didn't understand a word they said!
Eight points go to Joyous Zeltros
Ten points to Rugenia for talking in a better language than us.
Finally, the 12 points go to Zwanzig for a great song on fast food!
