Guys, WA GenSec Discussion Topic: How do you pronounce Jocospor? I pronounce it "Jos-co-por" because it rolls off the tongue better but then again I have to double-check all the enlightenment I post for Jocospor specific spelling mistakes.

Hey Lord Dominator. I'm no longer responding to Rein after being very generous as it was; both myself and my campaign team have made that clear. I've since received a long telegram for him too, and have blocked him on my telegrams.

We're getting on with running a campaign for the masses, and not letting the fascinations of certain nations with past CCD grievances get in the way. And that seems fine to me. Think of all the nations with past TBH grievances! But TA-CLC stops for no one!

And before I finished this post, the McMasterdonia camp ALSO came out with a tag:WA. Sad!

Obviously, the World Assembly is not predominantly a role-playing forum. It's Gameplay to the core, and it's the NSGP community that have manipulated that fact to their advantage.

Um, not really. The General Assembly is nearly completely unassociated with NSGP, and the Security Council, while somewhat intertwined with GP, is still its own separate entity. I think it's unfair to deem two separate communities (Even three separate communities, seeing as the GA and SC are practically distinct on their own) as being so deeply entwined, simply because there is some crossover in the participants in both communities. GA is 85% roleplaying, and is almost untouched by the doings of NSGP - whether you like Gameplay or not.

This I need to respond to. Hi Moreover, hope you're going well. I can certainly see that GA is probably more likely to be RP than SC, if that were to be the case. But I don't think so. And I don't think member nations think so too. Certainly, the Elite has the luxury of Role-playing in any forum; they can do that, because they're the Elite. But any member state? Definitely not. In fact, even if we agree that both WA chambers are predominantly RP, we've seen plenty of RP resolutions that haven't had any success because a) no one knows the author and b) its RP. Yeah, I just don't think this attitude holds wait, I'm sorry to say. From an outsider perspective, you're certainly not trying to RP when you play the WA! You're very involved in the GP community.

Violence in response to the WA Elite will only aid to develop a more hostile culture! What is needed is calm and logical promotion of all member nations. This is not a violent crusade for inclusion, it's the beginning of politely opening doors and saying, "Would you like to enter?"

Hi guys. Legit questions. Let me give you a timeline.

Day 1: I sent a tag:WA
Day 2: I sent a tag:WA
Later in Day 2: Altino sent out an anti-telegram spam campaign.
Just before sleep, Day 2: I decide to respect this counter-campaign. See my dispatch: https://www.nationstates.net/page=dispatch/id=1340262
Day 3: I have not sent out a telegram. Kuriko, McM, Bigtopia and Auralia all have.

So, I have sent 2 tag:Was.

Kuriko et al. (save Auralia, who joined the race late) have sent 3.

I hope that clears up the facts of the matter.

Hey Czechostan! This deserves a separate post. Well, in simple terms:

Kuriko: The main issue here is that Kuriko is a proud member of the WA Elite. Her campaign is looking to further ennoble her elitist community, that being the NSGP who dictate the WA's Security Council culture (and it's not a very inclusive culture either). I talk more about this sort of stuff in more detail earlier in the thread too.

*IMPORTANT*

Last night, Kuriko flipped her argument to be more like mine: "If elected, the SC will no longer be just for Game Players! I will open it up to all, role players, sports players, card guild/infrastructure players, and any other quirks that are out there. The SC will rise in prominence and become much more active!"

1) Which either suggests Kuriko is copying me, or is scared of my campaign because she knows there's truth to it. This NEEDS to be highlighted.
2) The final sentence still implies that Kuriko is attempting to establish some kind of Elite, which is completely contradictory to the preceding sentence.

Me, on the other hand: I want to stamp out elitism in the WA. I want to open doors for all member nations and give them a seat at the table. I'm about the quality of a resolution. I am NOT playing identity politics. This is about the World Assembly and its member nations. NOTHING ELSE MATTERS!

The telegram you've taken a screenshot of and uploaded here was specifically sent out to tag:Delegates (excluding those from the world's largest regions), stating our support for increasing the voting influence of individual nations and smaller regional Delegates. Jocospor specified we wouldn't send out a tag:WA telegram today in the interest of reducing telegram spam, and true to his word neither of us have sent out such a telegram.

Unfortunately, very few other major candidates can say the same.
