Um, just so you know, 10 billion dollars is a hilariously low GDP. Brazil's current GDP rests at about 2 trillion dollars, and its projections for 2060 are at about 6 trillion. My recommendation is to put it at 4 trillion, or a similar number.

This is true, but still need to hear from the OP about what kind of GDP methodology we really want to be using in the rp. Could be that the US just underwent some kind of huge economic expansion in this timeline, but not sure how balanced that'd be considering how powerful its economy already is.
On a separate note, I was wondering: what happened to the populations of India and Pakistan? If those countries aren't really inhabited anymore, there would've been a huge flow of refugees - where'd they all end up?

Not sure how many people would like to immigrate to a nation torn by civil war.

That's what I was thinking. On the one hand I think it'd be an interesting development to explore since those countries aren't necessarily that used to mass immigration - but it would also radically increase their populations, which would in turn impact their GDP calculations.

I agree. Though could say that the difference was made up by a big chunk of the Indian diaspora moving to the US?

Bloody hell. So that's about 1/7 of the world's population being killed right there? Kind of makes the rest of the war look almost tame in comparison kind of interested to see what the rest of the world has been doing in response to that.
Edit: Actually, a bit closer to 11% after crunching the numbers - my b
