Any thoughts in particular that I can improve upon prior to actually starting it up?

People need to be fed, the enemy needs to be fought, fires can burn out of control, and there is only a limited amount of resources available to do all that. Players will play the mayor, heads of guilds, militia officers and army colonels, all with different goals and priorities.
Anyone interested? Anyone got ideas?

Also, control over resources would be dynamic, so a disgruntled army commander might try his luck at seizing a granary, while the peasants might try to get their hands on weapons stored in the armoury.G-Tech Corporation wrote:

Please provide as much detail as possible.
RP's Overarching Concept: Year 1969, the United States balkanizes so the Soviet Union wins the Cold War.
Genre/s: Alt-History
Character or Faction Based: Faction Based
Detailed Description: I am only seeking help for one specific concept. When a player requests a detailed report or chooses a nation in my RP, they will be given a detailed report of such country. If it is the country they are playing as, than they will see their country's Modifiers. Modifiers will work similarly to the Modifier/National Trait feature in Hearts of Iron 4, which as the name implies modifies a specific concept of the country according to historical situations.
Example 1: France will have a "Smolders of the Revolution" modifier which, conceptually, should harm its ability to rebuild itself.
Example 2: Any politically liberal ex-USA nation will have the "Ghost of Vietnam/Cuba" modifier which will dramatically decrease public support for any war in foreign (read: not ex-USA) territory.
Example 3: A southwestern ex-USA nation such as California will have a "Cesar Chavez" modifier which aggravates racial tension between Hispanic and non-Hispanic Californians (aka decreasing national unity) and applies economic pressure (such as reduced agricultural production) to incentive the Californian government to introduce labor rights and civil liberties for Hispanic citizens.
So at the very least, I plan to have modifiers simply be a clue for the player to know the limits of their nation and perhaps some clues to moving beyond those limits which they must work for in order to remove those Modifiers. However, how those modifiers are to be removed is an interesting question, and there is yet to be any idea on any further implementation of the Modifier concept.

RP's Overarching Concept: Amnesia: Folie a Deux
Genre/s: Horror and Mystery
Character or Faction Based: Character
Detailed Description: It's a story set in the same universe as the Amnesia game series. The RP takes place in the early 70's in East Germany, where the village of Gibbous fears a mysterious family of aristocrats that seem to be the answer for disappearing children around the area. Your character appears in Gibbous for a variety of reasons. From investigating killed livestock, from visiting a childhood location, or hearing of being a bastard relative. Let just say that the castle at the top of the hill is something to be weary of. Especially, when you hear the metallic clanking that can be heard near the castle..
(That's the best way to keep it spoiler-free).
Need Help With: While I do have a story down on several "monsters" to torment characters, some world building if necessary can be added or if the story isn't really interesting can require some changes. Overall, I do need some advice on how a RP based on the Amnesia series and how you remind the tone should be.

It has been inactive since 2015. [url=https://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=352571&hilit=RP+concept]link[url] so I don't know if posting in it is considered necromancy by the mods. Still you and others can use any of the concepts posted there.
