We are monsters. We are capable of burning cities to the ground, of bringing forth the wind and the rain, of bringing back the dead. We may be uncapable of death. We are malfettos - humans scarred by the blood fever. But sometimes, for the better.

The fever gave us powers beyond imagination. We can do what only the gods should be able to, and may use it to terrify the pure. We have our lives, and the lives of those around is, in our hands.

Not all love us. Some fear us, calling us out for the monsters we are. Some hunt us, killing us on the run or burning us at the stake. We are robbed, accused, beaten, whipped, and tortured. Yet still, there is still one truth they cannot take away from us.

We are the Young Elites.




Hey, this is Arya bringing you an RP for all you fantasy/powered people lovers: the Young Elites. You are a Young Elite, a human who survived the blood fever as a child and now have powers. You also have choices.

You may join the Dagger Society in hopes of righting the wrongs of this world. You may join the Inquisition Axis to rid the world of malfettos - to hope the gods forgive you for your abomination. Or maybe you are a normal citizen, trying to blend in, or don't know your powers. Either way, this is your story. Will you rise to power, or stay in the shadows?

Societies
The Dagger Society is a group of Young Elites who seek other survivors of the blood fever before the Inquisition Axis can. Though they help malfettos, they don't rescue those who are tortured and without powers. Not much is known about them, but the aliases of some of their members are known, as are a couple of powers:

Name: Elirea Aktou, a.k.a. Winter
Gender: Female

Appearance: Elirea is 5' 11", making her taller than most. She has skin so pale it looks almost blue and blue hair so pale it looks white. Her eyes are large and the color of a winter sky, and her lips are full but pale. She has a wiry frame, almost birdlike, and is lean like a runner. Her marks are her discolored hair and unnaturally light eyes, as well as paleness.
Personality: Elirea is cold to strangers (no pun intended), but once she gets to know you she is very friendly. She can be a bit sarcastic and flirtatious at times. She is rather wise, but her logic is often biased by personal experience or opinion. She aligns most with wisdom and fury, but not fear, oddly.
Bio: See first IC post
Power: Can alter the temperature so it becomes cold, and can in turn freeze water or even summon ice. She can shape the ice into crude weapons or shields, however they are not that durable. Her main usage is creating spikes to attack the Inquisition. Her weakness is heat. Under extreme heat, she will become unable to use her main powers, however she can slightly cool the temperature to be more bearable.

Personality: Bitter and overly aggressive, Peter seems to have a burning hatred for just about everyone that isn't his friend. He does have an extremely overprotective nature for his charges, willing to die for a stranger he just met if he thinks they deserve it. He has found that the more the marking on his arm spread the harder he finds it to care about people, or feel any emotion at all.
Bio: Peter grew up being raised by his uncle after the accidental death of his parents. His uncle never married and had no children of his own; Peter was all he had. His uncle wasn't loving or caring, or anything similar, but they had a mutual relationship. His uncle was hard and stoic and unforgiving, but he was fair. They worked a small plot of farmland and sold their meager yield at the nearby town. When Peter caught the blood fever it very nearly killed him. In fact, he was so close to death, his uncle thought he was and began digging his grave. When Peter woke up, he was laying in his shallow grave. Panicked, he jumped up and climbed out. His Uncle thought he was a Revenant, a person that returned from the grave. In his hysteria, Peter's uncle stabbed him in his left arm. Peter fled and passed out from blood loss in the middle of the woods. He woke up a few days later as pale as death, and the wound on his arm was healed, but it had some kind of strange metal growing out of it. The marking spread until his entire left arm and shoulder were covered in the stuff. The spreading stopped, but in the few times Peter has accidentally wounded himself he found the wound to be replaced with the material. He was fatally wounded by the axis once, before he joined the Daggers, he 'died' and was buried, but woke up a few days later with the wound healed by the black metal.

Power: His left arm is marred with shards of a black, shiny metal and veins of a red energy. He can cause the metal to grow and he can shape it into crude weapons or just make it grow to form a sort of shield. It is nearly indestructible while on his body, but will soon degrade and become brittle after an hour or two. His namesake power, however, is his ability to survive near-death experiences. When Peter is fataly woudned, his body nearly shuts down and goes into a deep hibernation state indistinguishable from death. This lasts long enough for the "demonite" as he calls it to grow in the place of the wound, healing it. Then he wakes up, extremely weak and hungry, but alive. Hence the name: Revenant.

Weaknesses: He doesn't know to what degree of injury his body can heal from, so he has to play it careful. He still feels pain, and the more the demonite spreads, the less human he feels. He theorizes that if the extent of the damage is bad enough, he won't be able to survive it. This includes enough damage to his heart, or severe head damage/decapitation. He can still die from asphyxiation and poison, but his body can survive the effects for much longer than normal people due to the ability of his body to shut down.

He can also fire blasts of red energy, and use the energy to enhance his strength or make his weapons more deadly.
Weaknesses: The range of his energy blasts is rather short, so ranged weapons can spell trouble for him. He still takes damage like a normal person, so he needs to protect the parts of his body not covered in the metal he has deemed "demonite".
Occupation: I don't really know what it would be called in the Dagger Society, but he would probably be one of the ones that try to recover malfettos.

PLEASE put this in your signature if you know someone or are related to someone who has been eaten by dragons. Dragons are nearly unstoppable, and in case you didn't know, they can breathe fire. 93% of people won't copy and paste this on their signature, because they have already been eaten by dragons. 6% of people are sitting in the shower... armed with fire extinguishers, and the remaining 1% are awesome and will add this to their signature.

Enigmatic, curious and teasing. He has the mindset of a naive teenager with a guise of a tricky puzzler. And due to the influences of the Inquisition Axis, he has a form of displacement and introversion from other elites. Seeing that the world would be a better place if there weren't any malfettos in the world, including himself.

Bio:
Illusion was born a street urchin. He only had his mother till' the age of five, where she died lacking food and water. And at the same time, he was hit by the blood fever.

He barely managed to survive, waking up heavily disoriented. He would only find out that he has powers when Illusion would sometimes grab strangers for food and money only for the target he grappled to suddenly start doing very odd things. And equipped with this knowledge, he was able to survive in the harsh conditions of urban poverty. Often tricking and manipulating people to his advantage.

He would later be discovered by the Axis and was offered asylum and possibly a "cure" to his condition, in exchange of helping the Inquisition fight against the Dagger Society.

In other aspects of his life, he was born illiterate. But later found a proper education by being able to "trick" his way into public school systems, disguising himself as a student before being chased out by the ones that manages to get pass his trickery. He would often be seen cheating in the marketplace and gambling area, able to utilize his powers to either acquire specific items for free or manage to "win" a game of cards.

Power:
Powers-
  • Illusionary Magic~
Illusion, with his powers, can manipulate a target's mind if he is in close contact with them. Either through touch or being in a close vicinty of 10 centimeters. He can scramble one's memories, input new memories and warp someone's perspective of reality by simply being able to touch them. Although all the memories would unscramble/fix themselves after he is not maintaining them any longer than 15 to 20 minutes. His powers are generally used for confusion, allowing other elites to do the dirty job. But he does have a capability to kill or atleast incapacitate if he "stretches" one's mind past it's limits, with some serious repercussions to himself as well, but he very rarely does it.


Weaknesses-
  • Extreme Mental Exhaustion~
Continuous use of his powers for more than 30 minutes to atleast 2 hours can result in destructive consequences. Illusion would slowly lose his grip in reality and won't be able to discern what is real and what is not, he'd also be going in small fits of insanity, speaking gibberish and even blacking out if he uses his powers extensively. He can recover however if he is able to sleep or atleast take short naps.
  • Talks from the Beyond~
Illusion would often times hear whispers in random periods. Whispers that would either mock him or talk to him. He would commonly be seen engaging in a conversation with no one when he is left alone, and would often times try to engage in punching imaginary objects and beings that only exists in his mind. This condition would often either distract him in the midst of heated battles or make social interaction rather difficult.
  • Incompetent Melee Fighter~
Illusion heavily relies in his mind powers to do the work for him, anything involving brawls or hand-to-hand combat is not within his area of expertise. And chances are, he can rarely defend himself if he is only left with his own brawn and not with his powers.

  • Mind Reading~
Along with his illusion-based powers, he can also read minds in a way. A simple handshake with him can reveal a person's basic mentality and details, like what emotion do they usually feel or if the target has some grim intentions with anybody. Contact with him in a prolonged time can usually be enough for Illusion to basically know almost everything about the target he is "mind-reading", even more so than the person itself. Privacy is not a particular aspect he usually cares to respect other than his own.
  • Lesser Telekinesis~
Illusion can move minuscule objects with his mind if he focuses hard enough. Things like grains of sand, small dolls and stones are some of the things he can move, but heavier objects like a table or chair is impossible for him to manipulate.

Appearance: His skin is a clay brown, the same as his transformed beast self. His hair is a dark black, and he stands at about 5'11 normally, but 8' when transformed. He has bright orange eyes, as well as slightly pointed ears.
Personality: Relatively relaxed, he tries to make the most out of every situation, though he is quick to anger
Bio: WIP
Power: Transforms into a Minotaur, where he is given immense physical strength and resistance to physical attacks. However, he has an extremely soft spot in his hide at his trachea and can be easily killed with a well-placed strike from a sword or dagger.

In other aspects of his life, he was born illiterate. But later found a proper education by being able to "trick" his way into public school systems, disguising himself as a student before being chased out by the ones that manages to get pass his trickery. He would often be seen cheating in the marketplace and gambling area, able to utilize his powers to either acquire specific items for free or manage to "win" a game of cards.

Powers-
  • Illusionary Magic~
Illusion, with his powers, can manipulate a target's mind if he is in close contact with them. Either through touch or being in a close vicinty of 10 centimeters. He can scramble one's memories, input new memories and warp someone's perspective of reality by simply being able to touch them. Although all the memories would unscramble/fix themselves after he is not maintaining them any longer than 15 to 20 minutes. His powers are generally used for confusion, allowing other elites to do the dirty job. But he does have a capability to kill or atleast incapacitate if he "stretches" one's mind past it's limits, with some serious repercussions to himself as well, but he very rarely does it.
  • Mind Reading~
Along with his illusion-based powers, he can also read minds in a way. A simple handshake with him can reveal a person's basic mentality and details, like what emotion do they usually feel or if the target has some grim intentions with anybody. Contact with him in a prolonged time can usually be enough for Illusion to basically know almost everything about the target he is "mind-reading", even more so than the person itself. Privacy is not a particular aspect he usually cares to respect other than his own.
  • Lesser Telekinesis~
Illusion can move minuscule objects with his mind if he focuses hard enough. Things like grains of sand, small dolls and stones are some of the things he can move, but heavier objects like a table or chair is impossible for him to manipulate.


Weaknesses-
  • Extreme Mental Exhaustion~
Continuous use of his powers for more than 30 minutes to atleast 2 hours can result in destructive consequences. Illusion would slowly lose his grip in reality and won't be able to discern what is real and what is not, he'd also be going in small fits of insanity, speaking gibberish and even blacking out if he uses his powers extensively. He can recover however if he is able to sleep or atleast take short naps.
  • Talks from the Beyond~
Illusion would often times hear whispers in random periods. Whispers that would either mock him or talk to him. He would commonly be seen engaging in a conversation with no one when he is left alone, and would often times try to engage in punching imaginary objects and beings that only exists in his mind. This condition would often either distract him in the midst of heated battles or make social interaction rather difficult.
  • Incompetent Melee Fighter~
Illusion heavily relies in his mind powers to do the work for him, anything involving brawls or hand-to-hand combat is not within his area of expertise. And chances are, he can rarely defend himself if he is only left with his own brawn and not with his powers.

Five might be a good number to start with, but we may attract more people with a running IC, but if you do that it could run out of steam without enough people.
