Yeah... I liked her. It will hit Rhiannon quite harshly and the other SDF-Navy vessels as well.
As for racism about the Abyssals - if you feel bad, stand in the corner. ; )

What do you mean by "stand in the corner?"

The Selkie wrote:We could use a definitive base commander for the times, when the fleet is out and for the times the fleet is in (administration is a matter, which is to be taken care of, too). One of the support vessels would be a good choice, as they usually stay away from the fighting as well.
Regardless, the base got a lot of planes left, plus we still have to pack up Chill's remains/drops and haul them home.
I would also like to note, that I am not against a replacement of Novaya, but if NE wants to get through with this, then Atlas would count as an additional character - as he already has six characters and the maximum is six characters... well. Just keep him at the back of your head, NE.

And what do you mean by "just keep him at the back of my head?"

Irrelevant, but someone - likely Coriolanus - needs to listen to Novaya about why he's totally negative towards everyone (for the time being, it's Coriolanus but also everyone) and convince him not to make the same mistakes, and maybe cheer him up a little.

Stand in the corner - a popular punishment back in the day for a misbehaving child. Nowadays, I mostly know it as a joke (and it was meant as a joke).
As for keeping this Atlas-chap in the back of your head, remember him for when we might need him and you have a character slot free.

Adding to what Legatia said, for the moment, Coriolanus is our superior officer and commanding officers. Popular media made it out, that a superior in a military setting is your friend and a good chap, but the problem is, he isn't. He's there to be respected, not liked. Think about the strictest teacher in school - he's the one, who teaches the most of all those guys setting out to teach you, because you respect him, but you hate his bloody guts, too. Morale is not his job, that's what there are other measures for.
As for Novaya not continuing to make mistakes because no one convinced him not to... well, he should get that himself. He should get, that launching planes in the middle of his comrades throwing up AA-fire like madpeople might be a bad idea, at the latest by the brain of one of his fairies splattered all over the inner side of his canopy. He should get, that criticising a superior during an operation might not be the best of ideas. And he should learn radio protocols. Before he or one of his fellow Novayans dies, that is.
I play PT, MT and a bit FT. I am into character-RPs.
My people are called the Selkie, the nation is usually called the Free Lands in MT-settings. Thanks.

The thing is that Coriolanus is fully open to being friends with people (and to note, now that I think of it she has 0 personal relations with anyone at the moment), but first she intends to act as a leader. Morale and friendliness comes after that, beyond absolute necessity.

That would be mostly Natsukaze's for making a last minute dash on empty fuel tanks and then being too nervous to eat dinner. <.<

Novaya, military officers aren't there to be nice and hold their subordinates' hands. As the commanding officer of the fleet, she's there to whip them into fighting shape first, keep them in line second, everything else last, because the lives of the entire fleet are her responsibility, and Searc's death was partly the result of mistakes made by several members of the fleet. Also, even a boot knows you don't chew out your commanding officer in public. You just don't. That's a good way to end up ninja-punched for insubordination, possibly court martialed depending on severity. Chewing out your CO is a good way to ruin unit cohesion, and when people are out for themselves instead of working as a team, people die.

I assume that he overheard the convo between coriolanus and Novaya and that you included Prophet into the authority over Novaya being able to leave.

I made a quick edit to my post after realizing I had god-modded. I'll try to make it more succinct with the other posts tomorrow.

Somewhere between four and 18 aircraft of similar type and the ground staff, how it's organized in particular is up to you.
For example, SDF-Navy Naval Air Squadrons like 8th NAS have 12 fixed-wing aircraft, devided into 3 flights (Red Flight, Gold Flight, Green Flight and so on) of four aircraft, which can be further devided into six pairs, plus ground crews. Helicopter squadrons are organized differently.

Finished with the edit. Should be a little more in line now.

Hey, Selks, you know you've still got Searc listed with the cruisers, right?

Also, sorry for taking so long to post. I've been sick since Thursday, so, after I got off work, I basically went home and slept.
