Hey guys. I want to say first off that it is a real blast to see all the creativity and humor you guys come up with. Seems like every post I read here, I'm cracking up.

Few mentions - First, thanks, Zjaum, for having Aubree find Sarah and bring her back with the group. I really think it's a good idea for us all to stay together as much as we can, unless there is a specific plot reason for some of us splitting up. (Which, there may be in the near future...)

Second - Barapam - Hmm. Am I going to have to move Irina from the Infinites' list to the villains' list? Hijacking a plane and all usually isn't the Infinites' standing operating procedure. And I don't mind either way, I'm not saying you can't do that. But it makes me wonder just how heroic she is... Hmm...

Third - Keep 'em coming. We are getting closer to being done with chapter 1. Chapter 2 isn't ready quite yet. But we're getting there. And I do have plans for chapter 2, plans, do you hear me?! PLANS! Um... Sorry about that. Needless to say, the plans I have for chapter 2 will be quite interesting. And some of the loose threads that have been introduced will be addressed, and some more seemingly loose threads will be introduced, so as to make one huge honkin' Infinites tapestry of comic awesomeness.

I love you guys. Platonically. Thanks for your good writing and let's continue to make the Infinites the best comic writing on P2TM.

Thanks for the kind words, it's mutual. As for Irina, she's only doing it because she was enslaved, and she plans to turn the ship and the crew over to the police. The other ship is the police, right? In my book, that's still a hero thing to do. Unless the police is really, really corrupt, but she has no reason to believe that they are.

Ha ha ha. You'll just have to see. Both if this is Intergal, and what turning the ship over to these other aliens will do. Ha ha ha. (Devious but humorous laugh). :lol2:  :D :geek:

Historical remembrance.

Not many RPs last. And those that do, last for a reason. One reason is willingness to stick it out. One is a group of good writers. At least something goes to an OP that tries to be useful and keep things rolling. While I cannot say what kind of OP I am, I can say that we have a good thing going. And it's been going under some direction from me - for a whole year.

That's right. Last year on this day, Oct. 2, 2016, I took over the reins of an RP that I had joined that lasted only a month. The Infinites is not my original idea. I was originally a player (and Glitch was my character). After a month, that RP was let go by the OP, First Galactic Republic. And I was willing to take it over. Had to learn a lot on the job, too. First time ever of OPing anything.

And now it's a year later. I'm a lot more comfortable at doing OP stuff. And I'm thrilled to see that the Infinites is not only still going, but it has become known on P2TM for being the longest running active comedy RP here. I know at least a few people who are interested in joining us when they have more time. I've seen remarks in chat forums from people who haven't joined us, but read us and know us for what we're about. We all are candidates for best comic writing of the year. (And believe me, we should definitely nominate when the time comes). And overall, we've gone through one long arc and are part-way through our second with no indication of slowing down.

None of this would have been possible without you guys. You are the heart and soul of this RP, and every time I see that someone else has posted, I get really excited. And after I'm done, I'm always laughing. You guys crack me up. And hopefully I do the same to you.

Now, let's go out there and last another year!

Considering Talchyon's tight control of the RP, I think Irina officially just brought in Fully Automated Luxury Gay Space Communism. As a self-identifying conservative hypercapitalist, I'm scared.

Anyways, happy birthday to this version of the RP! Here's to another year!

I use my NationStates stats, because a population of billions/trillions and an economy of hundreds of trillions is totally viable, trust me.
But seriously, aside from the population and GDP, just assume that my NS stats are roughly accurate.

Support: Paleo-imperialism, conservatism, libertarianism, Christianity.
Against: Stupid people, resistance to industrial progress, alt-right, any form of government at or beyond socialism.

Yeah... about Irina's actions... There won't be any romance in this RP... I think Calculator will make sure that everyone focuses on their mission and not on things not found in this comic strip...

Zjaum: I had never even heard of that before, but it kinda fits. :p

Talc: I never meant it as a real shipping, just a laugh before the misunderstanding is cleared out. Or maybe Goldilocks misunderstands Irina too, and everything goes back to "normal".

I kind of thought so. It was funny. I'll give you that. But it does get a little too close to the border of PG, so we'll leave Goldilock's response as the most on that subject.

Moving on...

Yeah, it would probably be a little bit of an overload. Soviet Union collapse and all.

That's actually a good idea. Because, the way I see it, Calculator and those guys are more set on the mission, and not so much what year Irina thinks it is. And everyone else is just acting like typical Infinites.

Name: Kayla Delmor
Codename: Ivy
Age: 15
Sex: Female
Appearance:
Image

Biography: "Ivy" has been able to speak to plants all her life, but nobody every believed her when she said so. So aside from everyone thinking she was relatively insane, she grew up normally.
At around twelve years old, she tried to offer her services to the Infinites but was rejected. Infuriated, she turned to the villains, but they didn't need her help. Still angry, she decided to prove them wrong.
Three successful robberies later (none of which anyone knew who she was or how she did it (ask the plants)), they tentatively accepted her. She works on spy missions, mostly for gathering intel.
Powers: She can talk telepathically to plants. Yeah, that's right. She can talk to plants. Of all the crazy powers... what's more, they can respond. The entire conversation is telepathic, so if you see her staring at a plant intently, she's probable having a nice conversation. Unfortunately, her telepathy doesn't work on humans or animals.
As far as physical abilities, she is good at martial arts and manipulating info out of people. Also great at spying.
RP sample: Here! Or, for extra credit, this to see me as OP in action!

(Answer this as if you were speaking as your villain) -
Describe your abilities: I can speak telepathically to any and all plants.
Why did you turn to crime: The heroes didn't want me, the villains didn't need me. So I made them need me.
Why did you further become a supervillain: Oh, would you look at that. They needed me. They called, I came.
How do you feel about the Infinites: Not sure. At first, I used villainy as a way to join them, but now I'm not sure if I want to.
What's your end goal: To become known.
You've captured the hero/heroine, what happens now: Hmm... we probably won't exactly be sipping tea and eating crumpets, but I won't kill or torture them. Probably a brief interrogation, then release them in the middle of nowhere.
Do you plan out your monologues or do they just sort of happen: Both.
Let's hear a sample of your evil laugh (the noise you'd make when your plan is succeeding): (Insert insane female laughter)
Let's hear a sample of your evil roar (the noise you make when your plan is failing): (Insert indistinguishable mumbles)
Any lines you won't cross: I won't kill or maim.
Would you prefer an archenemy, or would you rather just drift around from rogues gallery to rogues gallery: Somewhere in between, probably. Besides, who would want to be against a plant-speaker?

If this gets accepted, I might make an app for a plant she carries around, just for fun/weirdness.

ACCEPTED! Welcome to the Infinites! I look forward for whatever plant you carry around. Never had an app for a plant before. Looking forward to it. And the odd dialog you'll have with said plant. Keep it PG please. And let's have some fun.

Ok, so here's the situation. We have a running gag here. And that is, we like to have new characters introduced as if they had been there from the 1st post of the IC. So even if you as a player haven't read it all, your character's been there the whole time.

Which means you need a synopsis of what's been happening. Ok. The Infinites were going to hear two well known scientists, Drs. Rose N. Crantz and Gil Denstern, speak about the new radioactive elements found beneath Orient, MN. The villains were planning to steal said radioactive elements. But they were interrupted when an alien spaceship in the shape of a huge Chinese rickshaw came, and the captain of the ship named Spasticus the Snarler announced that Earth needed to choose people to represent Earth in an alien arena battle or else their planet would be enslaved for thousands of years. Long and short, the Infinites, villains and an NPC named Jerry were all selected to be Earth's champions, taken on the ship, and the ship blasted out into space. There, they fought a little bit, and then went on a tour of the ship, met some of the aliens, and saw the rest of the ship, including a room no one was supposed to go into, and the bridge which actually is a real bridge. But the notorious Intergal (Intergalactic Police) invaded the ship to arrest Spasticus. He activated mysterious plan #427, and hid the heroes and villains in a snug, crammed secret storage area while the Intergal thugs finish searching the ship and destroying half the people. Only problem - one of the Infinites, Glitch, is missing.

There you have it. Now feel free to post in that crammed, snug storage area.
The Clockwork Circus - Welcome to a steampunk RP rife with crime, gangs, beggars, and starting off as the lowest of the low, in the lowest socio-economic place there is.

Wow. And Thank you. (You guys have had some fun)

And for the plant:

Name: The Plant (Really doesn't have a name)
Codename: The Plant (Sometimes goes by nickname "SuperPlant")
Age: I don't think anybody knows. Healthy plant age
Sex: Male (but has androgynous features, like all plants)
Appearance:
Image

Biography: The Plant has lead a sad life. He's had no one to talk to but the plants in the pot next to him, but sometimes he would watch humans with interest. Eventually this lead to him learning to read. Occasionally he would uproot himself to go read an open book or newspaper.
One day, he was sold to a family with a girl who could actually talk to him. When she said she was leaving to join the villains, he demanded she take him. She agreed, and he's been her evil sidekick ever since,
Powers: Has surprising abilities for a plant. Can move, and has access to the senses excluding taste, since he has no mouth. Can fit in small spaces.
RP sample: Same as before

(Answer this as if you were speaking as your villain) -
(Note, Ivy is saying this, because The Plant can't talk to anyone but her.)
Describe your abilities: He says he's basically what every plant wants to be. He can move, hear, touch, smell, and see. I don't know how, with no eyes and all.
Why did you turn to crime: He's my sidekick. I'm evil, he's evil.
Why did you further become a supervillain: Same thing.
How do you feel about the Infinites: He says he couldn't care less about them, unless they have a cute pansy in their ranks.
What's your end goal: To become the greatest plant of all time...
You've captured the hero/heroine, what happens now: How would he ever capture someone?! No offense, little guy. Anyway, he says he would give them to me so I could handle them.
Do you plan out your monologues or do they just sort of happen: For him, they just happen, since no one can hear him anyway.
Let's hear a sample of your evil laugh (the noise you'd make when your plan is succeeding): Um... he's making some sort of squeaking noise that I think is laughter...?
Let's hear a sample of your evil roar (the noise you make when your plan is failing): He says... you know what? I'm not going to translate that.
Any lines you won't cross: He won't kill.
Would you prefer an archenemy, or would you rather just drift around from rogues gallery to rogues gallery: He would like an archenemy, although I doubt he'll get one.

Remember the Animal Kingdom...
