Biography: Born on the planet Corellia, and orphaned at a young age, at first he lived on the streets, as a common beggar and thief. Afterwards, he was arrested for his crimes by the Republic. However, when the Empire was founded (he was aged 17) he was enrolled in the Imperial Academy. He was promoted to Imperial Lieutenant. However, on one mission, he was ordered to kill a Wookie named Chewbacca. Instead, however, he ran away, with Chewbacca, and started a small smuggling business.
On one of his runs, he found himself in Cloud City, where he met a man named Lando Calirissian. The two became good friends, and over a game of Sabacc, Han won a ship called the Millenium Falcon from Lando. The two remained friends.
On his most recent run, however, he was forced to dump a bunch of valuable cargo from Jabba the Hutt. After Han couldn't pay the debt, Jabba put a bounty on his head.

Something tells me she's nowhere Geonosis. Besides, there's not that much in her fleet. Just 6 Light cruisers, 3 frigates, and a Star Destroyer.

Either way removes an opposition to the Empire.

I think Geonosis was involved in creating the plans much earlier, but then again, the Separatists are probably far smaller than the Empire hence lack as many resources.

Uh, pretty sure the Republic got them after getting Geonosis, but Palpatine hid them. That's why at the end of ROTS Vader and Palpy are looking at an under construction Death Star.

The idea for the Death Star began when the Confederacy of Independent Systems designed the Ultimate Weapon, using plans and concepts provided by Wilhuff Tarkin. Poggle the Lesser possessed the original (or a copy of the) plans, which he handed to Count Dooku during the First Battle of Geonosis.

Darth Tyranus attempted to flee the planet and go to Coruscant, but he was intercepted by Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Yoda, none of whom knew about the plans; Tyranus defeated the two Knights; however, Yoda, in order to save the other two, let Tyranus escape with the plans. The future of the galaxy was strongly affected by this decision.

Tyranus managed to arrive at the Works of Coruscant and he delivered the schematics personally to Darth Sidious. Once the Clone Wars were over, Palpatine shaped this idea for his own purposes. Blueprints were used as a basis for construction of the station, and, after the Death Star's completion, the plans became a prime target for the Rebellion, whose members hoped to find and exploit a weakness in the superweapon. In large part because of this, the Empire split up the plans and sent it to various places of the galaxy to prevent enemy hands from acquiring it.[1]

What do you think my droid's position should be? Security, bridge staff, etc.? I would consider a BX, if correctly modified, to be a jack-of-all-trades.

I doubt the plans given to Dooku by Poggle was the only copy, right?

Anyways, weren't the original plans altered afterwards by the Empire? Or why else would we need Rogue One?

For all the main players (Admiral and politicians) I'm a bounty hunter so that could be an avenue for promotion.
Also, I'd imagine he CIS would have the older plans, but will not be able to build it for a while given their weaker position.
The empire would have he "full" plans and could build it, but at a slower rate.

I see. I was considering, if he was in fact gone, that the dominant Queen on the planet might try to rule more directly, by replacing the Archduke with somebody under their control via the worms.

Biography: After completing his commando training on the planet Kamino, Gregor served in the Grand Army of the Galactic Republic as part of the Special Operations Brigade for two years; until an injury sustained during the Battle of Sarrish resulted in a bad case of retrograde amnesia. Unable to remember his true identity, Gregor worked as a dishwasher in a restaurant on the planet Abafar, until a Republic Colonel found him and helped him remember who he was. After engaging and destroying a battalion of droids to enable the Republic Colonel and his squad of droids to escape the planet and continue their mission, Gregor managed to make his way back to his clone troopers comrades, and at a later point in the war removed his control chip.

Gregor fought with the Empire for a short while after the fall of the Republic, but as he lacked a control chip, he soon came to clearly realize that the Empire was nothing at all like the Republic. After being ordered by a higher ranking Imperial officer to execute a group of civilians, Gregor finally lost all patience with the dishonorable Empire and shot the officer instead. The civilians he saved were Rebel sympathizers who brought the now wanted Gregor with them to a nearby Rebel stronghold, where Gregor was convinced to aid in the fight to restore the Republic. With his impressive war record and Commando training, Gregor was assigned to the Alliance Special Forces, where after proving he hadn't lost his edge, he was placed in command of a squad of SpecForce operatives.

Gregor and his squad proceeded to carry out a variety of missions from harassing enemy supply lines to assassinating high-ranking Imperial officials with a 100% mission success rate. The squad soon earned a reputation as one of the finest in the Rebellion, and in honor of their successes they were given the name "Havoc Squad," a name that had once been assigned to the most elite special forces unit in the Old Republic. Now Gregor and the other soldiers of Havoc Squad are resting up in a secret base on the fourth moon of Yavin, where they await their next assignment...

I was under the impression that TWC told us that Poggle was somewhat submissive to the queen. At least regarding planetary affairs.

I'm certain he was. But the Queen might nonetheless prefer to rule more directly than through an underling.

Just an idea, of course. If Poggle is alive, it makes much more sense that he'd still be in control.
