So, he`s basically trying to make the Orchid from Deus Ex Mankind Divided in Airborne form.
Or atleast I think that`s best to describe what I plan this new bioweapon to do.

What would his view on robots/androids be?

He views them as tools to be used by the humans.
However, when they have emotions, a consciousness or a will of their own, he goes into extermination mode.

Name: Astrid Gato
Age: 14
Sex and orientation: Female, Heterosexual
Appearance:

MPW: A small revolver, and a small blade.
Other weapons: Other then that cybernetically enhanced arm.... none?
Skills:
She can sword wield pretty well.
She's a sharpshooter.
See that arm? It can extend and contract. It also can turn into a booster, useful for traveling long distances
And don't ask me what the goddamned bird does... *shudders*
its just a bird...

Mech: Nothing of notice, other then her arm.... STOP MENTIONING THE GODDAMNED ARM but the arm is made out of carbon nanotubes

Personality:
Astrid is a care free girl. She likes to take risks. Also, she can be a good friend, but she's kinda a loner.
Likes: apples, oranges. books, and that GODDAMNED ARM You are deliberately doing this...
Dislikes:[/i] any one who hurts her, kulians the fuccing arm

[b]Bio:

She was born in the 20th year of the Kulian calender, in a small market city called Nakent town. There she had a happy life, expect for one thing. She was born with a rare genetic disease that would kill her. It started in her arm, and eventually would spread to her whole body. The doctors made a desicion to amputate her arm. But n this year there was a lackage of normal arms, and she was given a military grade one.Eventually, the day came where her family had to leave, for many of the people in Nakent town had died either to Kulians or of diseases.. eventually the day came where a large amount of Kulians approached Nakent Town and attacked all the people that lived in the small town, which wasn't that many. Her father and mother stayed to fight, but Astrid went, convinced by her parents to escape the doomed town. She settled in Penna, for a new, fresh start.
Not knowing that her parents are still alive.

Full AI, here we come! Exilvania, I challenge you!

Postby The Burning Sun » Sat Oct 29, 2016 10:48 am

Name: Violet. Just that, and even then it's an assumed name that she randomly chose.
Age: [UNKNOWN]
Sex and orientation: Technically neither apply, but for the sake of completion she is female and asexual.
Appearance:
The dress isn't part of her and from the front, her face would be relatively pretty and give the impression of innocence/youth.

MPW: Her entire body is really just one large MPW by definition, but it has two primary weapon systems:
  • Right Hand - From the forearm down, her right arm is extremely durable to the point of near invincibility. This is due to support provided by the two incredibly strong magnetic rails made from [CLASSIFIED] hidden inside which form the basis for her first weapon: the Type 20 Hypervelocity Armor Piercing Railgun, nicknamed Skyfall by its designers for its supposedly unmatched destructive capability. Loading is done manually by enclosing a sufficiently magnetic and durable mass in her palm and activating the railgun. She can carry 10-15 rounds on her at a time, though in a pinch nearly any metal can be used - albeit with much reduced efficacy. Obviously, it still functions perfectly well as an arm.
  • Left Arm - In direct contrast to her right arm, Violet's left arm is extremely volatile when subject to damage. The hammer to her left arm's sniper, it contains several plasma channels fed directly by her main core, each of which is linked to one of four two-foot blades embedded into her forearm or a smaller, sharper "tip" section. The blades themselves are hollow, perforated with a series of millimeter-scale holes, and capable of generating a magnetic bottle around themselves strong enough to contain the plasma directed out of said holes around the blades in a manner that makes them capable of slicing through almost anything like a literal hot knife through butter. Typically, the blades are individually assigned to a digit and controlled much like a glove, but they can also be slotted together into a four-foot longsword.
Other weapons: She is fully capable of using conventional blades and firearms, but the only thing she regularly carries is an attachment for her right arm that is more or less a cattle prod powered by the railgun's capacitors, just in case a nonlethal option is required.

Skills:Her cybernetic sense organs are far more powerful than any humans', and the electronic portions of her brain contain information on how to operate nearly any common device on the planet. She's also really good at math, if that's relevant...

Mech: Ehm...the mech would really just be herself, right? Unfettered by the limitations of flesh inherent in most cybernetically enhanced humans, her designers were free to utilize the power of machinery to its fullest. She is about as durable as the typical mech but far more agile, easily outracing them while also being able to switch directions in an instant. Unfortunately, her small size and light weight can sometimes come across as disadvantages, as she packs a good deal less firepower and is incredibly susceptible to knockback. Additionally, most of her torso is taken up by a miniature nuclear reactor that powers her systems. It's limited by a relatively tiny yield, and so she has to be careful about expending too much energy and shutting herself down. Fuel is ingested and consists of the typical deuterium-tritium mix, but when that is unavailable nearly any source of hydrogen is capable of being fused in its stead.

Personality: Being an experimental AI, she doesn't really have one. It would best be described as largely emotionless and apathetic, tinged with a hint of constant mourning. After all, she is exceedingly aware of her limitations and always on the search for an answer she knows doesn't exist.
Likes: Things that are beneficial to her. Also human interaction, because it might help her learn about being human.
Dislikes: Things that are not beneficial to her. AI values are pretty simplistic.

Bio: Contrary to popular belief, Whisper is not an organization of pure evil hell-bent on destroying humanity. Some of them are, to be sure, but some of them are just normal people who think Whisper can provide a better future: refugees of fallen towns, disillusioned soldiers, scientists working towards humanity's salvation. It was this last group, under the guise of the Ascension Project, that would eventually create the robot soon to be known as "Violet". Led by men who believed that humans were destined to evolve beyond their frail shells of flesh and blood, the project was meant to create a method of reproducing a human consciousness inside a fully digital environment - an admirable goal, one that would have benefited humanity immensely, but nevertheless hopelessly out of reach. Stymied by the difficulty of actually transferring a human consciousness, the researchers turned to merely emulating an identical one and found that nearly as difficult. They began by attempting to physically reproduce a human nervous system using circuits that would change and evolve in the way a brain did and more or less discovered how, but the circuits were too simple and too rigid to suffice on their own. Eventually, they settled on a combination of traditional computing systems and their new neural net. The computers could store information and handle the bulk of a mind's simple calculations and processes, and the neural net would handle complex decision making and restructure the information on the computers as it reacted to its environment, thus merging the adaptive capability of the human brain and the processing strength of the computer. Unfortunately, the merger was not perfect, and certain sacrifices had to be made. The neural net was not sufficiently large or complex enough to truly "be human", and the computer's thinking was often too different for the neural net to easily comprehend.

Still, none of those defects could possibly have been known until a prototype was built and tested, which the scientists quickly went about doing. Unfortunately, Whisper intervened and ordered the prototype to be fitted with weapons and turned into a killing machine, which horrified many of the scientists. In protest, and with the knowledge the the mutable nature of the neural net meant a full system reset was impossible, they programmed her with some basic directives and activated her, claiming that combat programming could wait until they knew the system worked. Whisper reluctantly agreed. The project's history of delays and failures had not held the promise of much potential, and they could scarcely comprehend the scope of the breakthrough anyway. Luckily, the scientists did, and after a few short days spent teaching the nascent AI about the world, they faked a combat trial on the edge of Kulian territory and engineered her escape, with the promise that they would join her one day. By luck or by fate, she made it to a nearby town unnoticed by the ravenous creatures of the wild, and from there she would journey ever further away until she came to the town of Penna. She doesn't know whether or not her creators will keep their promise, but at the same time she doesn't care. The hectic, confusing days of her birth are over, and her life has only just begun.

1. If I wanted to make a third character could they be used only in special events/occasions?

2. Can they be a lone scavenger or a mercenary?

3. Could they have no mech or MPW?

Whisper command, of course, was furious when they discovered that their ultimate soldier was not, in fact, a soldier, and could never actually be forced into becoming a soldier. For several months, they tried everything they could to override her memory and indoctrinate her, and for several months, her neural net evolved a quiet hatred for everything they represented. Eventually, they gave up and sent the prototype to another group of scientists with new orders: We cannot program it. Thus, teach it and let the world show it what we cannot.

Well, that answers my question. XD

I was suspicious because it didn't seem to fit what I know of Whisper. Sure, I guess there could be a couple of misguided idiots who were actually deluded enough to believe that Whisper had good intentions, but not nearly enough for something like Violet. One would have to be an enormously naive and trusting individual in order to believe such a thing--after all, anyone who was a part of Whisper would see how horrific the group is; amoral individuals of that sort can in no way be mistaken for philanthropists by anyone with a rational mindset. And if there were good members of Whisper at one point, as unlikely as it might seem, they probably ended up becoming the victims of the others. Whisper is a pack of wolves, preying on the weak for their own gain. Anyone could be classified as 'prey' to them--their colleagues, their families, anyone who gets in their way or is just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

At least, that's how I tend to see it. But of course, I could be wrong.

Well.... This current instance of Whisper would have two faces. One face for those who Whisper saved, ie the one that acts all good, and the real face of Whisper which is the one you know and is much more secret.

Whisper is actually capable of saving people? That seems... rather farfetched. Then again, I suppose taking in an orphaned little girl would appear to be an act of kindness, as long as one is unaware of the reality of the situation. So in a way, it makes sense.

Whisper is a clever wolfpack. Perhaps it needs a different metaphor.

Saved is a rather loss term.... more like taken them in to secretly manipulate them in order to achieve their goals.

It doesn't matter, if the OP says no laser guns or laser swords then none of them. Though that would only apply to the left arm.

But it's not even a laser sword!

Saved is a rather loss term.... more like taken them in to secretly manipulate them in order to achieve their goals.

I edited my post:

Charlia wrote:Whisper is actually capable of saving people? That seems... rather farfetched. Then again, I suppose taking in an orphaned little girl would appear to be an act of kindness, as long as one is unaware of the reality of the situation. So in a way, it makes sense.

Whisper is a clever wolfpack. Perhaps it needs a different metaphor.

We seem to have stated pretty much the same thing. However, this brings to mind a question that's been brewing in my subconscious for a while now. I'll telegram you.

[b]Bio:
Dominica was born in a small settlement on Kulos, which only had around 30 people. During her time in that settlement, Dominica was a pretty average girl, nothing special, although she had little interest in things that most girls would stereotypical like, she was a tomboy, but was always laughed at her for her ambitions to be cool. The day the Kulians attacked Dominica was split from her parents, and everyone she knew and abandoned after she fled the town, leaving everybody behind. After this she created a new persona to forget about what had happened and to seem more cool like she always aspired to be seen as, 'DG', her initials, was this newborn identity she had created.

Dominica was on her own, and rather than search for help remained independent, looting abandoned towns and buildings, hunting for food and crafting most of her supplies. Dominica once formed her own gang 'Rad Rats' which consisted mostly of stranded survivors and independent scavengers which banded together for personal benefit. One day her gang disbanded following an argument and Dominica went her separate ways, taking up the life of a mercenary, which she still is to this very day.

Additional Notes
Ignore the tail and ears...I took all of the characters names and pictures from an anime/manga called Strike Witches....so..yeah..

She is a mercenary and independent scavenger.

Dominica won't be with the group the entire RP, just popping up every once and a while.

Kind of, kind of not. She doesn't murder or rob innocent people but otherwise fits the description of a bandit.
