It really depends on the number of entries, and whether or not we have judges available to judge a category (meaning their work wasn't nominated nor did they nominate any of the works therein).

Yes; several judges flaked out last year for various reasons, so backup judges were brought in to complete the assessments.

Perhaps I will apply to be a judge. I've never really gotten involved in this, but I've been around the block a few times. I will apply if my services are required, I suppose.

We should see the award nomination thread start this weekend. We'll have judges sorted by then though I suspect well need a few more.

Edit: by request, we'll hold off the launch until we're closer to December. A few people felt it was too early. As always, if anyone has any questions you can reach me via TG or, if I'm online, on IRC (Esper nick: Cer).
