There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.

I moved us along for the Lobby people and the Lair. Wasn't sure who all wanted to go to the city. Insert your character into the rig and conversation if you wish.

@Torsi. We'll say they spent a few hours going over things. Saves IC time and description. Fairly standard stuff excluding a few high tech toys added. FT for the win.

I thought it was just Henry and Julia, the two characters who were in the Lobby. I'm not sure if Sully is still parked:

Gonna state this now. I'm gonna be on vacation for about two weeks down in North Carolina. I'll have internet thankfully, but it's not very consistent. I'll try to keep up though, at least one post a day. But for tomorrow at least I'll be driven there, so it'll be several hours before I can be on to post.

Alrighty, let's park those characters with out-of-town handlers. That way, we won't slow down any stories. We have enough players with characters in reserve to keep vacationers busy with small things over the next week or two.

I'm excited about this one. Polynesian culture... the old stories, the mythology... Disney usually does a good job with stuff like this. People are bitching because Maui's "stereotypical fat P'nesian". Psh. Fuck that. Dwayne Johnson's half Samoan. I think he would have said something if he thought the portrayal bad.

Mon, it's not bad but, in this case, it's almost forced. I like Michael Giacchino's compositions but the score seems rushed and too much like other video games. Repetition. But this is the same guy that worked on stuff like the Incredibles and Star Trek Into Darkness... and so many other stirring scores... which is why I'm sorta harsh on him here.

So, sadly, I was too distracted by the repetition to think of much imagery other than inserting my own lyrics... "My-kal Gee-acch-i-no... his-sound-track... Gee-acch-i-no!" :p

He doesn't look fat to me, he looks strong. It's like that picture you once showed us said. And aren't these the very same people who are constantly bitching about how characters aren't on the thicker side? I'm pretty sure if you split these people into two groups and had them each create their idea of a perfect piece of media, then showed them each other's work while saying it was mainstream, they would still be foaming at the mouth and pointing out all kinds of -isms and -phobics.

Its also a particular body type that's common among Polynesians and such, heavy but strong. Reminds me of the civ 5 leader for Indonesia who had the same sort of bodytype. Pretty much pure muscle and power, with a bit of a belly.

Hm. I'd say the second picture is what used to be called "a fireplug of a man". I used to practice aikido with a guy with a body like that; he was a Ranger. But he was also in his late 50s, so he wasn't necessarily in his physical prime.

FWIW, if you asked me for an image of a "strong man", I'd go with the classics. Which is much more similar to the second picture than the first. I'd say the key difference is that the Riace statues have more distinct waists.

What if I promised you that it would be poignant, touch upon our first posts to each other in PL, tie in to the god war, and give you a chance to establish that this isn't the same Neil once your character woke up (and gives me a chance to establish that it isn't the same Charu)? I've toyed with a few ideas and have a mock-up post done (missing the middle because my brain fizzled). Wanna see, oh glorious raptor with claws so bright?

Cer's been harping on me to use Charu to establish in the "Agents" IC. :p

Aw, that's not fair! I didn't personally found the Polynesian civilization, so I still count as Asian! :p

EDIT: Also, article mentions that the Philippines may have merely been a stopover for ancient mariners, and given the language spread appears to have begun on the Asian mainland and then traveled to the Philippines via Taiwan, it's possible Filipinos and Polynesians are both descendants of Asia.

Boo boy. What a day. Ain't at this beach. Tire problems on our RV halted our great journey twice with one being too far from anything to get there timely. Wore out my dad and bro, so we called it a night and settled in a hotel.

Also, the internet at the hotel refuses to work with my computer. So yeah, nuttin from me tonight. Gonna eat and relax.
