The group outside: Amanda, Anais, Primordial, Septimus

- Players are currently discussing options. I'm transferring here for sake of clarity. The ogre leader has stated that he wants to speak to the Building/Residents leader.

• There isn't an actual Residents Leader, though some feel it should be Klaus. Minerva is on her Deathtime.
• There is an elected Representative.
• The chance is high that, if Ascalon heard of the Fiend feats, the word has spread to the ogres. The village and its mayor were told that Sep is the Rep.
• Anais leads the Guild, but isn't the Leader.
• Primordial is an ambassador for Luxa, but not the Leader.
• Amanda might have been told by Sep to do the talking, but the ogres were firm: no mouthpieces.
• The ogres recognize terms such as "president" or "senator", so they might have some knowledge of the democratic process.
• The ogres specifically stated "you men" when asking which if the two present was the chief.
• The ogre leader and his delegates put themselves in harms way by coming up to the Building (within reach of bullets and arrows); they've extended a little trust here.
• The Building is fortified, though most newcomers don't know that. Char!Bran would, since he lived with Charumati when the system went in, and was exposed to it when he was stupid enough to eat a cookie Dani had provided.
• Technically, the Building Manager is in charge of the Building.
• The ogres aren't stupid, nor are the typical of ogres found in fairytale stories or other gaming systems. They're also familiar with firearms.

So...

• If Amanda speaks, the ogres might get pissed off IF they've heard the gossip and know to be looking for a male named Septimus.
• Ditto for Primordial.
• Anais is seen as our "shaman", and is not male.
• Septimus believes he's in no condition to speak.

Solutions were tossed around. Here's what peeps are thinking (the idea is supported by several players already):

The Doorstep characters do a quick huddle to hastily whisper all the stuff above. Someone comes up with an idea... Explain that the Building is governed by democratic process, some asks Volker to get the Building Manager, and the ogres are invited in for tea while we wait for him to arrive.

• If the ogres accept, they come inside and are treated nicely.
• If the ogres refuse, they can either sit on the stoop and wait or go back to their party.
• With leadership in range of our attacks, it's unlikely that one of the trio will sound the charge. There's a lot of distance for their forces to cover. It's a gambit but I personally don't think they'd be that stupid.

And I'm really enjoying the Pony-adventure. It's sort of turning into a spiritual-journey for Yuna.

I like it. I hope they sit for tea. Tea sounds nice. I like the plan and say go forward with it.

My supports for the tea time with ogres idea, but you guys already know that

And I think bran and parts of his family are some of the few still around from the 'ancient times' of the building. back when it was crazy and stuff. my characters that lived through the later drone invasions are gone and likely not coming back (couldn't justify the return like sterling, all new characters from here on out for me like Maghrl. Maybe a Synth of my own design from fallout, that might be neat)

So simply speaking a lot of the newer residents simply don't know how durable the building is.


Oh and I'm guessing people know about the SCP still in the dining room. A vending/coffee machine that can vend annything you desire, but using it too much leads to it getting uppity
