As mentioned, guys, my internet has been the rear end of a donkey lately. Fortunately thus far I've still been able to view and post with okay delays, but if I vanish from NS for days that'll be why. Given that it's been okay thus far I'd rather not park chars on account of something maybe happening.
Come to the light side.  We have teamwork, waffles, popcorn, grape juice, and way too much ramen.

Unless one is a genealogist, therapist, geneticist, or FBI agent - who is acting within the scope of their job - to claim that anyone is wrong about their own identity is not merely absurd but also extremely rude.

I'm giving Mon, Bran etc another day to post for characters in the dining room (Fvaar sent a character there), and then I'll catch up on whatever Cer hasn't by tomorrow night.

I'm just going to make a quick post to summarize Romy's thoughts on the situation, filler really. Fallout 4 has been sucking my time with most things. :P

I'd like it if people seriously considered parking extra characters. They have become baggage. I attribute it to too many characters in play and not enough personal time to play them.

Flint has not been in use since 28 Oct
Mon had not been used since 28 Oct (she addressed Romy then); now active
Varona has not been used since 24 Oct (never replied to a question)
Kelly had not been used since 25 Oct; now active
Rylli was last posted for on 8 OCt
Superbia was last posted for on Oct 26
Bran had not been used since 17 Oct and did not respond to repeated questions, now active as of 8 Nov

CoOPs trim your characters down, please. Too many are cluttering the thread.

Active characters/frequently posting: aka Our Current Cast
Septimus
Drova
Yuna
Romy
Nick
Rmw
(plans in place to park Kwa'a)
Willow
Giovenith
Brit
Aegis
Insidious
Primordial
Sandy
Amanda
Neste
Marcus
Myra
(Hans in use by me)
Cat
Deuce
Ocho
Thad

Swith:

  • Add Zark's tab and well as Slo's, please. I think those are the only missing ones other than mine. Characters are missing from tabs. Players need to give links to you.
  • Remove Kaeria. This frees up Tilt.
  • Shift Tsu and TNEL to "welcome to return" pile. TNEL due to return with a new character later in December.
  • Did NVE ever finish his apps?
  • Min is on quasi-sabbatical due to work. Keep his tab in place.

Operation: Bo Peep
    Sandy
    Nick
    Ocho
    Aegis
    Primordial
    Nick

Ascalon
    Sep (Diplomat)
    Amanda (Legal Eagle/Contract Law)
    Thad (Driver/Tech)
    Neste (Security/Comms)
    Rmw (Diffuser)
    Romy (Security/Weapons)
    Insidious (Magic)

Am I missing anyone for either group? I need a final head count for Bo Peep so I can post for Old Sam.

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.

Extremely useful.

The move to Jolt and subsequent move back resulted in lost threads. Likewise, F7 threads fell under autoprune (yay P2TM creation!) So many good things lost. The hardest blow, personally, was perhaps the Trifid Sagas, a multi-nation war played out on a private forum over the course of five years -- all data lost when the forum owner died!

Players might want to consider preserving their showcase posts. Entire threads are sometimes archived to thumb drives (or, in the case the damn Circuit prequel and trilogy, still exist as lunch time reading material on a corporate server.)

A few excellent posts are housed in the P2TM Exceptional Posts thread. Players can search for their nation names to spot them, should you wish to preserve them from there.

You'd be surprised by how many frivolous things end up occupying space. Blame it solely on our nefarious IT department. One of them's a scaly. :p

@Gio. I need to leave for work soon. I'll pick up Willow's reply later this evening.

@Fvaar/Prim. Waiting on final head count for Operation: Bo Peep before I can post for Old Sam. Will post tonight (capping the signup opportunity) this evening.

@Slo/Prim. I didn't see a post for Amanda/Primordial. Is there any place they want to see? I might save time by having a hunter turn up at the Building later in the IC afternoon. Get the quests organized and underway. Time skip to the next morning.

I was waiting for char!Prim to answer Amanda's question.

Of the things listed so far, Amanda would like to see:
* the gem dealer, to see how much char!Prim gets for his rubies, since that has a bearing on whether Sandy spends time transmuting "base metals" into silver.

* the herbalist, to see if they're offering anything she and Sandy can work with. Since Amanda knows a little alchemy, she'll recognize common alchemical ingredients, and doubtless has pictures of more on her phone.

* likewise, the Book Dealer of Ominous Foreboding. She may not actually enter the store -- she's had a bad day already -- but she'll do window shopping.

* The church of Demens: after funeral services break up, Amanda would like to pick up religious literature. If they'll actually loan her something like a copy of Demens' bible, she'll take that too.

* She wants to check the prices at the petrol station. (She forgot to do that while they were there.)

* In general, she'd like to find out the range of goods available and the idea of their prices.

Edit: @Cer, you have Nick listed twice for Operation Bo Peep. I believe Carly will send Kale as well. (TG'd conversation that Sandy would try to make sure Kale helps get more sheep.)

This is true. I already parked Cinnamon and Sinyaya, so I could park Flint and either Varona or Mon as well.

I was a bit focused on Brit and I've got two other threads I'm in charge of now so that's on my plate too.

Good news is I get my braces off Tuesday.

Things have been chaotic between school, work, and personal stuff but I might have a post set up later on tonight.

Mother of Christ, this night was tragic.

When I was in camp in July, I've made friends with a lot of the French people there, including my cabin's counselor. Amazing, fun, great guy. And a lot of them live in the Paris area. I'm just relieved they're all okay, at least according to what facebook is giving us. Still though, I don't have much of the words to describe tonight, I mean Christ.

The bigger question is if anything meaningful happens. Because right now, while expressing condolences is important as is solidarity, doesn't seem like anything is being done.
