The people wearing the cute costumes become evil. The people wearing the supposedly evil costumes turn good. Bin Laden, Hitler and Satan must defend the universe from Rainbow Dash, Megaman and an adorable dragon.

Maybe we could even throw in evil/perceived evil and good/perceived good characters from nation canon....Although likely not with mine unless characters aren't picking their costumes.

If they aren't maybe we could all submit 3 or 4 and chars get assigned to costumes randomly.

That would be a good one for the OSF. It allows characters unaffected by magic to participate. *nods*

I don't know what the Creepfest plans are. Cer's taken Morgan Trick-or-Treating, and that lasts until 7:30... then it's off to the school carnival for some booth games and a haunted house.

Small town means "old fashioned Halloween". It's all downtown, where we are. Our EMS is out patrolling to make sure everyone remembers to drive safe. Their squad is playing the Ghost Buster's theme. The titanium mill employees, off duty, got their hands on a large tractor and hay wagon, and that's going up and down main (free rides). The police are driving around to keep an eye on things. You can "trick-or-treat" them... they'll stop along the roads and turn on their lights, and the kids run over to the curb-side door to grab some candy. I'm not sure who is patrolling the river, but the two boats I've seen so far have orange lights and are keeping close to the shores (I guess to keep an eye on the bonfires). And one of the larger tugs that normally pushes coal barges went by... the boathouse railing was decorated with jack-o-lanterns. But hey, in a little place with under 5K population, you can expect that. I'm sooo glad we moved from Pittsburgh. The area may be economically depressed and mostly blue collar, but the people are upbeat.

Blue collar is best collar, just ask my cousins in Hazard, Kentucky. Speaking of which, I am now curious on how miners, who live in the deep hollars, do Trick-or-treat when population is so small?

Ended up putting together a costume from bits of clothing I found lying around the house, including:
1x NECKWARMER (the kind that also covers the lower half of your face),
1x OLD, BATTERED COWBOY HAT
1x LONG, BATTERED COAT
1x PAIR OF SUNGLASSES
1x BLACK PANTS
2x BOOTS, PROBABLY
1x WHITISH FACEPAINT
1x OBNOXIOUSLY SCRATCHY VOICE
I am going to be answering the door as a Shady Candy Vendor, apparently.

(Would definitely like to participate in any Halloweenish shenanigans that start up on the OSF.)

I was lucky enough to have money in my savings to go to Youmacon Saturday with my friends who were staying at my house.

I played dungeon ambience, opened a window, and popped up whenever someone knocked. It was rainainint outside (which for Winnipeg is unusually good for Halloween because usually there's snow and you have to wear a parka over your costume). Twenty people showed up. All of them were terrified, in an amused way. It was great.

I don't know if I'm insane for doing this, but I'm doing the Nanowirmo writing whatsit. So I basically have to write 50 thousand words by the end of the month. I guess I'll see how long I can keep it up, because why not I suppose.
