Radiansyah Bagaskara

"Gray, where are you going? You have Caia here, don't go to someone else," said Radi as he stood up and walked to Gray. He needs help, but he cannot just breaks the door to Fauna's cabin, so it's not an option. And since Harry/Harriet is fangirling (?) on Gray because of his musical skills, he needs more than just help.

"Gray, do you need help?"

It wasn't often someone introduced themselves as a wolf, or the wolf rather. However it looked like the girl had enough wolf in her to justify it, with tiny but sharp fangs in her mouth and two pointy ears pointing up out of her long, reddish brown hair. Lilliane wondered if the girl's wolfiness was interacting with her own rabbit instincts and that was what was setting her teeth on edge. Or perhaps she was just naturally irritating. So I was followed thought Lilliane, regarding the strange looking partial dispassionately. She had thought she felt some presence at the edge of her awareness but had been too busy focusing on Gray to investigate properly. At least you saved me the trouble of tracking you down thought the rabbit partial, narrowing her eyes. But who was this girl? One of the super friends? No she would have seen her with them. If that lot had really been organised enough to see her coming and organise a tail then they wouldn't have played right into her plan. So she's not with them. What's her problem then? Lilliane wondered, taking in the other girl's pugnacious expression. Is she picking a fight just for the sake of it? Or is she on some sort of moral crusade? Regardless of her intentions Lilliane decided the best course of action would be to get rid of her as quickly as possible so she let out an audible sigh at the girl's words.

More unsolicited advice, what is this career day? Finally she replied, not bothering to turn her head fully from the window.

"In the first place if you're offering advice you're already suggesting I take it. Two sentences in and you're already making yourself redundant. If you're intention is to waste my time you are formidable indeed."

Hourai the Wolf

In contrast to Lilliane's casual disinterest, Hourai leaned forwards, the picture of ardent fascination. Ignoring the arrogant rabbit's words, she smiled innocently, innocuously exposing her fangs.

"Sometimes, redundancy is necessary to make a point. Experience has taught me that certain people who consider themselves superior to others often refuse to accept even the simplest of facts, unless it is forcibly hammered into their skull. Experience has also taught me that this particular trait is also what leads to their inevitable downfalls, and so I'll ask again. Would you care to hear my advice, advice, which I'll add, is born not of simple presumptuousness but hard-earned experience?"

Lilliane exhaled softly and turned to face the girl who was now invading her personal space square on. Although she had no fangs to expose it would have been difficult to describe the false smile she offered in return to Hourai's as anything other than predatory.

"Redundancy is sometimes necessary to make a point? Indeed, I'll concede that, so let me be redundant. I don't want your advice. I don't want to interact with you in any capacity whatsoever in fact." The smile dropped from Lilliane's face suddenly, leaving only the coldness in her eyes to convey emotion. "Do you take my point?"

Lilliane leaned back into her seat and returned her gaze to the window, locking eyes with her conversation partner via her pale reflection in the glass. "But I suspect you like the sound of your own voice enough to inflict you're opinions on me anyway. So I think the least you can do is listen to some advice of mine first, I happen to enjoy the sound of my own voice as well." Lilliane paused for effect, although not long enough to lose control of the conversation. "In fairy tales and myths pride inevitably leads to downfalls because its a comforting lie for those without pride of their own. When someone with more ambition than them falls short of their goals they can tell themselves it was always going to end in failure and that they were right never to try. The reality is that it's the future of those with no pride that is set in stone. They are inevitably doomed to mediocrity while those with the arrogance to defy what seems inevitable to lesser eyes have a chance at victory no matter how slim it is."

Lilliane lowered her eyes from the window and examined her own nails, noticing while she did so a speck of dust on the sleeve of her jacket and brushing it off daintily. "And the thing is you already know what I'm saying is true, I'm merely being redundant to forcibly hammer a simple fact into your skull. You see you were arrogant enough to come her and try and moralise to me, despite every piece of information available to you suggesting that the chances of me heeding your advice in any appreciable form was nil. Whatever lead you to believe it was worthwhile coming here anyway is nothing less than the same arrogance you seem to think is such a significant character flaw in me. In fact I would admire it almost if it weren't wrapped in so much hypocrisy."

Lilliane appeared to be finished and was thoughtful for a moment. "Of course the other possibility is that you simply enjoy speaking to things that your words will have no effect on. If that's the case then there's a perfectly serviceable wall right behind you,"

Fauna Pool and Harry 'Harriet' Collins

Opening the cabin door, Fauna stifled a laugh seeing Gray come back with Harriet starry eyed next to him. She nodded at his silent words, and said, "Hey Harriet, if you really want to see Gray play, give him some space so we can do something!" Harriet looked at her enthusiastically, and nodded his head quickly, backing off of Gray but still staring at him expectantly. "You play too?!" Fauna smirked, holding her harmonica up. "It's not much mate, but it sounds good to me."

Harriet squealed in delight, and waited for them to play. Live music!~

Must run faster!

Three words that captured Sozin Yamagoto's entire existence at this time.

Must run faster!

Everything had started out fine. Just another day on Eureka. Until Curiosity came along and sat, more like fell, into Sozin's lap. How easily things can become misunderstood from there...

I wonder how far back she is! No! I can't look. Mustn't look! Mustn't look! Mustn't-

A glass reflection. A passing window. One clear view of what was behind him. And it was terrifying! With what looked like an aura of pure darkness, promising nothing but misery and pain, her she came! The girls eyes seemed to glow with rage, the color of blood, as she blew through the train cars like a hurricane. Always a mere few meters from behind his steps. Seeing him seeing her, her ferocious frown deepened as a demonic growl clawed its way out of the girls throat:

Image

"Kutabare!"
(Drop dead!)

WOOOAH! SCARY! CAN SHE SEE HERSELF RIGHT NOW? WOULD SHE EVEN CARE?!

Sozin didn't know how long he could keep this up! He wasn't body wasn't built for long marathons, and the new girl didn't seem to be running out of steam anytime soon. Shouts and a sudden crash came from behind him. Turning back briefly, he saw that the girl had bowled right into a group of Defion Cadets, hired guards for the luxury liner, who now lay strewn across the corridor both on the floor and on top of each other. All knocked out cold.

On the bright side, her way was now blocked!

Defion gorillas! Thank you for your sacrifice! I always knew you were good for something!

More out of desperation than timing, the Invictus Lieutenant used the distance, he decided to barge into the nearest travel cabin. Hopefully, with him out of sight, the murderous thoughts the young lady cadet had would soon be out of mind. Grabbing the sliding door, Yamagoto wrenched it open with such force, that he lost his balance. All that momentum gained from the sudden sprint, now caused him to fly, straight into the two people already in the cabin.

As the new arrivals made themselves at home, whether by music, mayhem or Machiavellian meetings, a soft chiming bell echoed through each of the luxury liner's cabins. The sound was replaced by a cheerful, mature, female voice.

"Attention, may I have your attention please darlings? This is the final call for boarding the STAG Program Orientation Tour from Courtshore to Navarone. All those still on the platform, please board now. For those already present, please account of yourselves, your luggage and your seat. The express will be leaving shortly, and our grand adventure will begin! But first-"

A spark of bright, teal light lite the faces of ever TV monitor, Net-Set interface and phone screen. Lines and rows of what seemed to be computer code scrolled across the video displays, before being replaced by a very alive, very cheery smiling face.

"-allow me to introduce myself. My name, is JUL. I am an S-Class Artificial Intelligence. I am also the Administrator of the Special Administration Zone, Overseer of the Civil System, as well as many, many other duties and roles. But just think of me as your host, a personal escort through the Eureka Experience. How exciting!"

"In addition, with me here today are 3 Cadets, who in their Second Year, have graciously volunteered to be your guides for the duration of our time here together. I'll let them lead the introductions shortly."

"Feel free to ask any question you may have on your mind to us during our trip. Please, get to know them, and let them get to know you. I am sure all of you will become great friends with each other, once well-acquainted! Now, without further adieu, let us... begin!"

With a happy wink and snap of her fingers, the luxury liner jerked into motion. Going slowly at first, then steadily increasing it speed, both the station platform and the immigration Checkpoint were left far behind in a matter of minutes. Bullet train that it was, the Mag Rail's could reach speeds in excess of 500 kilometers or 300 miles per hour! With a single ticket, it was quite possible to get anywhere at anytime in the Zone. For this trip, however, top speed would never be reached, since a tour is hard to have when everything outside is a blur of passing shapes and colors.

Miranda had listened to the other cadets with interest and actually found herself wishing Gray the very best in his pursuit of Caia - and Harriet the very best in the pursuit of Gray. They would make such a cute triple!
She took a deeper breath of Harriet's scent and still was undecided whether H was a boy, a girl or a hermaphrodite. Granted, she had a better nose for recognizing species. Some of the fauna back at Black Site 134 was endangered and off-linits for hunting.

Her mood darkened considerably when the rabbit partial started explaining her philosophy - it was not so much the concepts but the very tone. She reminded Miranda a bit too much at Dr. Kunze. "Names are Irrelevant! You All Are Machines!"
"When I get home I will get you for this..."
She was startled out of her thoughts when the marines attacked - in the time it had taken her to pick a target, Gray had taken three of them down.

Looking who had a tipped them off -and for a moment worrying that they were telepaths- her eyes followed Gray and fell on the rabbit.
The idea of wrecking her dorm looked more appealing by the minute...
Then one of the marines mentioned child pornography. Why would... They wouldn't... How can anyone...
A low growl rose from her throat.

Miranda turned to the leader of the marines. "What exactly has she told you?" She asked, pointing a thumb at the rabbit. The answer made flames dance in her eyes.
Her furious look led the marines to their own conclusions. "She is his Ex, isn't she?" one of them, the redhead, asked.
Not fully understanding the implications, Miranda simply nodded. "And a nasty one indeed. Be wary of her, or she will send some guys after you next."

When their superior officer arrived, Miranda actually rose to the marines' defense. "This one is to blame." she pointed at the rabbit, only to find an empty seat.
She provided a fairly accurate description, but had not memorized the name.

The next fifteen minutes were spent reattaching her wings and armor, and taking to the sky to get one last good look at the harbour. Time lost all meaning, and her anger was swept away looking at this marvel of science and architecture.
She almost missed the train, and actually got caught in the door. Cursing and straining, she almost broke the mechanism before getting her legs and tail in.

"This city is organized by an artifcial intelligence?" Miranda grinned in wide-eyed wonder at the screen.

"Who is your creator?" she asked JUL.

Fauna Pool and Harry 'Harriet' Collins

Intrigued by the A.I. that seems to be the host of the tour, Fauna decided to give it some questions.

"Where's the best source to learn about world history, like, oh I don't know, weapons and other military equipment? Military vehicles perhaps?" Fauna asked, "And what about this entry exam that we heard about? How is it going to be done? Written or practice?"

Harriet on the other hand didn't know what to ask, as he'd rather have things unfold for themselves. Maybe I could ask where's the best place to eat? Or... "And living space! We'll be in dorms, right?"

Well. That rabbit is certainly everything I thought her to be, and more besides.

Allowing a brief silence after Lilliane's declaration, Hourai silently composed her response, duly noting each hypocritical flaw in her evidence. Ready to drop the hammer and wipe that smug look off of her face, she opened her mouth - only to pause, as her ears picked up what seemed to be a -

SLAM

Yet another moment of silence ensued, as her brain tried to process what just happened. Gingerly opening her eyes, she found herself looking at a cadet - a cadet, which she realized as she gradually traced his arm towards her body, was quite enthusiastically gripping her breasts. Finally, her brain caught up with reality, sending surges of white-hot anger and indignation through her body. After a moments pause, she slammed her fist against the table and surged to her feet, just as Lilliane somehow kicked him into the opposing wall.

JUL closed mouth smile grew as her first question, from a rather large female partial, among the student hopefuls was asked.

"Yes, it most certainly is dear! And this, Courtshore Harbor, is just one of four major metropolitan areas that I coordinate and schedule around for the Citizens of this Free State. Only through our Civil System, the central operating system that the entire island's technological activity is synchronized around, is it made efficiently and possible."

As JUL spoke, a small grid map appeared in the top right corner of the displays throughout the mag train. While most of the island was shadowed a dark grey, a small section in the western section was shaded a deep, pulsing teal. The Special Administrative Zone. The Eureka Isle's beating heart. Four especially bright sections in the Zone singled out the only cities the island had. Emerald Cove, Arcadia, Courtshore Harbor, and Valston City.

Hearing the second question asked, by the same girl, JUL's smile took on an look of grandmotherly affection. "Why, Doctor Ravencroft, of course. While the Institute may have produced me, and the Directorate assigned my purpose, it was Richard Ravencroft who programmed me. Made me. Of course, I am not the only one. There are two other S-Class A.I.'s currently operating in Eureka. One of which, you will be meeting shortly, as he oversees all the new program inductees, as well as the Entrance Exam."

A sudden flurry of questions came from two other Cadets, maybe emboldened into asking by the earlier ones first attempt.

"Excellent question!" stated JUL encouragingly, "The best learning tool is a Net-Set. With unlimited access to Eureka public records and community data banks, you can have any information you'll ever need a screen flick away on your wrist. Unfortunately, Net-Set's are a product for those with Citizenship only. Since you have yet to pass the Entrance Exam, your status remains at Civilian, and is not acceptable deary. But! We do have an extensive system of hard record at all public terminals, available at most venues or locations on the Island. At the Academy, our multiple libraries on campus are also helpful. For a complete compendium of information though, visit our societies central knowledge bank, the Cognito Veritas Library, in Valston City when you have some free time."

"As far as the Eureka STAG Academy Entrance Exam," JUL imparted a conspiratorial wink, "I am under strict orders to save that as a surprise, until we arrive at our final destination on the tour. I will say this: It is like no other test you've had before. How exciting!"

Speaking to the next questionnaire, JUL stated, "Sleeping and living quarters will be provided at both the Academy and the Proving Center, where you will take your Entrance Exam. The latter quarters are co-ed, while the Academy quarters are separate sex. That said," a kidding frown crossed her faced as JUL wagged a well-manicured finger at the screen. "Don't any of you begin getting any foolish ideas!"

Atlannia wrote:
For a moment, a seemingly eternal one, silence reigned. Buoyed by confidence in her own logic, Lilliane allowed a period of silence to let her words properly sink in, even closing them. A fatal mistake. Her eyes shot open at the same time as her ears stood straight up in alarm as they picked up the hiss of the door as it was thrown open but by the time her vision was online she was already face to face, noses almost touching with 2nd Lieutenant Sozin Yamagoto. But...But that's not right. thought the girl numbly. Something very rare had occurred, Lilliane Cortaine had been shocked into silence, her violet eyes wide as plates, her mouth slightly open, her cheeks turning steadily redder. For this to make sense he would have to be this warm, heavy thing that's all over me. And...and his hand...his hand would have to be...

The external stimulus seemed to shock Lilliane out her inertia and a strange, crooked smile began to twist itself into shape on her face.

"So we can ask you anything huh?" Lilliane practically cooed, her eyes narrowing and locking with Sozin's. Very well. Just remember that no fate is set in stone so consequently your answer may determine if you live or die. Now: What in the hell is going on here exactly and why is your hand on my...my... Lilliane's voice lost its sinister quality and trailed off, realising as her eyes drifted down that in her haste to start the interrogation she had neglected to actually remove Yamagoto's hand, it was still--

With a fascinatingly rabbit like squeak Lilliane slapped him open palmed and then lifted both feet and kicked him in the chest, sending the boy backwards into the seat behind him. Her cheeks now flaming red Lilliane turned to Hourai, desperately fighting to reclaim her haughty expression.

"I trust you understand the importance of dealing with this situation? We can resolve any other difference at a later occasion. Now--" With that said she turned back to Sozin. The wicked, twisted smile had returned in full force and the muscle under her left eye was twitching slightly. "Answer. The. Question."

The Burning Sun wrote:Well.

How dare this - this filthy mongrel touch ME in such a way?

Audibly cracking her knuckles in preparation for a fight, she stared down at him with a malevolence reminiscent of the evil Sozin had escaped moments before.

"GOMEN'-!

Only a split-second expression of horrific realization and half an apology, before the Double Falcon-kick hit him, and sent Sozin spiraling towards a painful impact against the hard cabin wall. Usually unflappable, Sozin found himself in one of those rare times, when he was not in control. Coughing and wheezing, trying to get air back into his kicked and run-abused lungs, tears began to well-up at the edge his eyes. Eyes which could no longer see much, as his thick glasses were knocked all askew across his face.

As the Japanese 14 year old was trying not to die, the two combative females began interrogating him.

Interrogating. Him. Him! A Second Year Cadet, and an Officer at that! Of course, any attempt to right his wounded pride was quickly extinguished by the look on both of the lady's faces. Firstly, and always, he was a practical person. And bring up the subject of courtesy to a superior, didn't seem in the best interest of his health.

Holding up his hands in an obvious gesture of surrender, he lay were he was thrown, panting from exhaustion, before managing to croak out:

"You.. have.. it.. all.. wrong.."

Ironic, really. Running from an enraged first year, only to cornered by enraged first years...

After a few minutes of letting his breath catch up to him, Sozin now took account of himself. That familiar wooden poker face of his managed a comeback, his posture loosing its tension. Pushing his glasses back to the bridge of his nose, his calculating grey eyes took account of his surroundings and the obviously violent-prone girls standing in front of him.

Letting go a sigh, Sozin recounted the events of the past few minutes that had led him into such dire straights

5 Minutes Prior...
2nd Lieutenant Sozin Yamagoto

How creepy... thought Sozin as he threw furtive glances at the girl in the seat in front of him. She had been openly staring at him, peaking over the head rest of her forward facing chair, since she had sat down. Honestly, it was starting to weird him out. At first, he had ignored it. Plugging in his headphones, taking out a well-worn paper back novel to read, and generally doing everything to discourage any contact with anyone. Including, that woman. But apparently, it was too covert. Because she kept right on staring.

...

I'm going to say something. This is just disturbing!

Setting his book aside with a sigh, removing his ear buds, the girl surprised him by making the first move.

"Eto.. "
(Um...)

She began, the silence trailing off as their eyes met. Before It happened...

It started with a sudden bump. Probably turbulence from a rather low air pocket, disturbed by the rapid travel speed of the express, rocked their train car. Having been leaning over the head rest of her seat, the girl suddenly lost her balance, her whole body falling forward, head first. Reacting to the sudden fall, Sozin attempted to catch her, and succeeded! In a fashion...

Even know, with time to think about it, Sozin had no idea how it happened. One moment, he had been looking at her face. The next, he had a girl fallen across his body upside down. And what he was looking at just at her face anymore..

Image

Panties! Pink!Unexpected!

Sozin Yamagoto was in absolute shock. The three words were doing donuts in his mind. And for a few seconds, everything else seemed to freeze along with him. Then, the panic came. Alarm bells began shrieking in the small part of his brain that still had two neurons to rub together.

WRONG PLACE, WRONG TIME, WRONG EVERYTHING! FLEE! RETREAT!

The same scene probably played out in the young girls head, for they both jumped to their feet with shrieks of surprise. For Sozin, as a man and veteran Invictus, the path out of this was clear. When In Doubt, Get The Fuck Out! Fighting his own feet in an effort to run backwards, Sozin backpedaled like a mad man, his hands held up in unconditional surrender, as a flood of apologies began pouring out of his mouth.

Apparently, the first year girl had yet to embrace the Invictus philosophy. Because she didn't run away, but straight at him. A look of pure murder on her bright red, blushing face. The first slap to the face hurt. Too right it did. So did the second. And the third. And the fourth. But it was the her barely missed kick, aimed a lot lower, and to a lot more vital area, that finally routed any remaining thought of apology from Sozin's mind. This wasn't about chivalry now. It was survival!

"...And the rest you already know... unfortunately... So..?" finished Sozin with a questioning statment, throwing glances at both Lilliane and Hourani.

Fauna Pool and Harry 'Harriet' Collins

Fauna nodded, satisfied with that. Now she knew that the test is unorthodox, and that there's a very good library in town. "Thank you, JUL." She puffed out another tune on her harmonica and asked Gray if he was still going to play something. "Why not?" was his reply, and they began playing some music. It was very slow paced compared to what Gray played earlier, but at least now Fauna could play calmly and on beat.

Harriet on the other hand was pale and mortified when JUL mentioned 'the Academy quarters are separate sex'. He knew he would be found out sooner or later, so it might be best to let everyone know who he was. But... I... I don't want to... He didn't like revealing himself when forced. It was nerve-wrecking to do so.

Yulian

"Mmmm~"

The boy sighed as he stretched himself out on the couch. He'd long since picked his own small, and secluded area of the train to call his own for the trip, and he'd spent the most of it sleeping and catching up on his favorite books. Yulian was quite thankful for the privacy of this certain train, glad that he could sleep and read in peace as he'd been doing for a while now. He knew it wasn't going to last though. Sooner or later they'd reach their destination, and then he'd be forced to mingle with his fellow classmates, or whatever they called them here.

Closing his small tablet's protective screen, he quickly opened it back up and saved the progress he'd made, rereading Red October for yet another time, as one of his favorite books. From the confines of his small cabin, the effeminate, and somewhat diminutive boy could observe the people around him in private, and he resigned himself to people-watching for the rest of the trip.

Silas A. Hunt

For a while in the day now, it felt like Silas was operating on a figurative autopilot mode, ever since Violet and him left the docks. He simply....drifted off, in thought and vivid daydreams. Rarely were these daydreams anything pleasant, except for a few select occasions....these "pleasant ones" were almost exclusively of his time at Eureka, not back at his old home. Occasionally, ones broke through, though - Grandmother Annalise singing out on the porch in the summer; fireflies illuminating the fields as Vivian and the younger Silas ran through them at dusk....and very little more. God, it had been so long since he'd last saw Vivian on Eureka. Silas hoped deep down that she was alright, more than damned near anything else.

But then, there was the daydreams of Eureka, the island that was made his new home. Most of them, well, involved....her. The girl next to him. The girl he believed that he loved, at least in some way.

But the sorrowful memories came more often - typically they were of his time in the hospital, with the new limbs and....and the Splicing. But occasionally, his mind tormented him, bringing back memories of that one day where his old home was taken away.

A therapist that Ravencroft "assigned" to Silas after a few....outbursts diagnosed him as having post traumatic stress disorder. Silas refuted this promptly - he refused to be a helpless cripple dwelling on the past in ways he can't control. As much as he denied it though, he kept dwelling on all of this - and he did have this disorder. There was no denying it, he soon found out.

Luckily, though, he found a way to....well, keep himself together for the most part. An "anchor", in a sense. If it wasn't an easy enough guess, it was indeed her. The girl that he spent so much time with ever since their meeting, with the catalyst of it being the thing he hated the feeling of - that splicing syringe with the DNA of another species.

Maybe he should give that syringe more credit.

Silas grew to rely greatly on the girl, and he could tell that she shared some of those feelings towards him. She was a shy one indeed, but that didn't diminish her at all in his eyes. No, it only made him closer to her. This reliance felt....right. Healthy. It was mutually beneficial to the both of them, not to mention the friendship and....associating feelings as their relationship advanced.

Silas was flung out of his daze, like a brick in the side of the head. His reptilian pupils dilated as he realized where he was - Not the old farm, not the hospital, not a field of corn, not the park outside of the hospital; a bullet train. He felt....a weird fright at the sudden awakening. He felt around a bit to the area adjacent to him, to his left. Searching for something. His gaze was trained towards nothing really, for some reason, he just couldn't process much. He felt frozen, except for the synthetic hand feeling for what seemed to be life. It soon found its destination, the hand of another, a girl.

"Violet....are you there?" Silas whispered, with a very slight inflection of fright in his voice.

She was. She was there. His anchor.

"So... Basically you became so careless in your haste to avoid the consequences of your own deviancy that you inadvertently assaulted us," began Lilliane, her cheeks were still red and her slight frame was actually beginning to shake with rage. If Sozin's explanation had been intended to calm her down then it had had the exact opposite effect to its intended purpose. The girl got to her feet and brushed her skirt off. "In fact I would surmise that your heightened emotional state allowed your true nature to bubble up to the surface!" Lilliane pointed an accusatory finger at the dazed lieutenant. "I have no idea why you thought this ridiculous explanation would extricate you from the hole you've dug yourself into! Pervert! Lecher!.." Lilliane's steam began to run out as her inexperience in these matters left her with fewer and fewer names to call him. "S-Scoundrel!"

Taking several deep breathes, the rabbit partial sat back down and pulled her bag onto her lap, rummaging through it as she continued to speak. "And here was me suspecting you actually had a brain in that oversized head of yours." The high pitched, hot rage of a moment ago seemed to bubble down back to Lilliane's more usual coldness. "At least this story of yours present a fairly obvious course of retribution, in fact--" Here the girl broke off as she retrieved what she had been looking for, a shiny, black tipped permanent marker. "I consider this more of a public service than mere petty minded revenge," With the hand holding the marker, Lilliane flicked off the cap with her thumb and then tested it by drawing a small dot on the pad of her thumb. She then rubbed her thumb and forefinger together and noted with satisfaction that afterwards the dot was totally unaltered. "Now," she said, her smile returning as she put her bag to one side and stood up to begin advancing on her intended victim, marker in hand. "Make sure he doesn't move," she said to Hourai. "I detest messy penmanship."

Hourai the Wolf

Hourai snickered, at both Sozin's predicament and Lilliane's sudden outburst of anger. Somehow, the rabbit seemed a little less...refined, and intimidating while she was sputtering expletives to cover her own embarrassment.

Stepping forwards, she bared her fangs at Sozin, acknowledging Lilliane's words. "Gladly, Ms. Cortaine." Snickering a little, she continued, this time whispering into the poor lieutenant's ear. "I am going to enjoy watching this...scoundrel."

Pulling back her fist, she punched him straight in the gut, grabbed him while he was still wheezing in pain, and flipped him over her shoulder and onto the floor in between her and Lilliane. Planting her foot on his chest to keep him down, she allowed herself one last smirk, then moved aside to allow Lilliane to do her part.

She was. She was there. His anchor.

Violet stirred, sensitive rabbit ears picking up even the slightest of noises. Looking around, she seemed to be on some sort of train, although...she didn't ever remember getting on to said train.

Leaning over to the side a little, she reached out and rubbed Silas hair. Like the rest of him, it was warm and comfortable, soft to the touch and yet carrying a hint of hidden strength. Ever since they had met, that fateful sunny day, the pair had grown to rely on each other, for reasons mostly unknown. The one time Violet had managed to get herself to ask him, Silas had merely brushed it off, saying "You are my anchor to the present. There are things in my past I'd rather forget, and being with you helps me to do that."

Funny, isn't it? The way things sometimes work out? Violet herself liked him for almost exactly the same reason. To her, he was a shield that warded away even the darkest of her demons. Although she knew she would never forget the Director's words, nor the pallid cloud of fear that haunted her still, Silas made her feel as if there was a chance, nay, the slightest possibility of a chance that she might one day be free of both. He was like those charming, perfect figures that exist within the depths of one's dreams, who, upon waking, entreat you to stay for just a moment longer. And even though you never could, no matter how much you wanted to, and even if all dreams are false delusions that are doomed to end, well...

Another moment of dreaming, then. While she still could.

"Yes, Silas..I'm here. Come, let us go meet our classmates at last."

Slias Hunt

Silas was soothed instantly at her voice and touch, like an odd comforting symphony. The hands in his hair were a familiar feeling he loved from her, like a caring embrace. He grasped her hand a bit tighter with his synthetic one, as if affirming the pleasantly of the feeling. It was such a mundane thing, one would think if they saw this. But he loved it. He loved the closeness.

"Viola....I don't know any of these people. And I'm not really sure how to talk to them....they seem so different." Silas sighed out softly, leaning his head softly onto her shoulder, taking a brief chance to enjoy her aroma - the signature one she always had, like flowers and some unidentifiable fragrance that washed away his troubles.

He just closed his eyes for a brief moment, trying to enjoy it all for as long as possible.

Planting her foot on his chest to keep him down, she allowed herself one last smirk, then moved aside to allow Lilliane to do her part.

Lilliane glided silently past the wolf girl, shooting her an unimpressed look as she passed. I can tell when I'm being mocked. However as much as she wanted to retaliate she needed to focus on the task at hand, it was going ot be public display after all and needed to be perfect. Focus... thought the girl, slowing and regulating her breathing as she knelt on the floor just in front of Yamagoto, the top of his head just centimetres from her knees. She leaned over him and secured his head with one hand, holding back his fringe to expose the boy's forehead. Her eyes, placid almost to the point of being glazed over, betraying only absolute concentration. The tip of the marker moved slowly, inexorably towards Sozin's forehead only to stop mere inches away. Slowly, Lilliane’s placed expression tensed and a frown crinkled her brow. She heaved a soft sigh.

"There's no helping it, if I write upside down then it won't come out right..." She thought for a moment before sighing again and locking eyes with Yamagoto. "Close your eyes," she ordered flatly. "If you open them, I'll kill you. If you move a muscle, I'll kill you. If you so much as think anything weird, I'll kill you. Breathe a word of this to anyone and I'll torture and then kill you." With that being said she got to her feet and changed position. Now facing the same way as the boy underneath her, her left knee came to rest on the floor next his left arm, her right knee was resting squarely in the middle of his chest and her face ended up perfectly level with his. Except for the marker on her hand the whole arrangement appeared deceptively intimate. This time the marker did connect with Sozin's forehead and for several seconds the only sound was the soft scratching noise the marker made as Lilliane began writing with confident, precise brushstrokes. After some time she paused in her work to look up at her partner in crime.

"Do you know how to write pervert in German?" she asked, looking back down at her work.

Deviate.

Catch Up Post Stuff
Callandra had observed some of the apparently quickly blossoming relationships from a distance, chuckling to herself lightly. She didn't realize that there were so many teenagers here in so desperate need of a relationship that shortly after they met each other, they started kissing each other. Not that she could judge, seeing as she had a sleeping partner shortly after breakfast. But it was still amusing and interesting to her, thinking that not many people were like that like she was. Well, not to say that all of them were going THAT far, but still. Even kissing someone you just met was unusual enough in itself for most people. She also saw some people that appeared to be denied their quick "lovers", and she chuckled at that, too. This just reminded her why she didn't get emotionally attached to anyone. All it did is spell misery for yourself, and people weren't to be trusted - including herself. Which she knew all too well, and in fact, basked in her unreliability. It made things more fun to her. It especially made it fun when these overly trusting people, or people who seem to think that people won't just be a disappointment, end up becoming too trusting of her, and she becomes a disappointment to them. That hadn't really happened yet, but she almost hoped that it did...Maybe it would teach more people to not be so overly trusting like they were.

While Callandra got amusement out of all the, in her mind, horny teenagers, Kylie tended to try and ignore it all instead. Not only was she somewhere she didn't want to be, she was stuck somewhere she didn't want to be with a bunch of teenagers who probably did, and who fit into more of the stereotypes of teenagers she heard about. Neither of which were a good mix in her opinion, so she, after talking to the big guy who actually ended up to be rather cool to her, she kept to herself again for the most part.

As they approached closer to the shore, the city began to come into view, and Kylie found something else to be appealing on this trip. Even though a city may not be particularly noteworthy, she had never seen anything like it before, and even though she could only see the outlying skyscrapers and such like that, she already found it to be quite magnificent. Though she felt that, at the same time, it was sort of a mixed feeling that she was having. It was a magnificent looking city like nothing she had ever seen before, but at the same time, this was also the start towards her new life - a life that she was not particularly looking forward to at all. So while the city looked amazing and futuristic, it was also making her more nervous the closer that she got.

Callandra on the other hand seemed to be full of pure excitement about it, looking at the city in amazement. So this would be her new life, eh? Not only were her dreams coming true, they were coming true on an island that had a city that looked like it was directly out of some sci fi movie, which instantly made it incredible to her. This was going to be a great year, full of fun and weird adventures, and she couldn't wait.

As the ship began to dock, Callandra looked around, still looking rather excited. Now that they were docking, Kylie was the opposite, looking rather nervous. Then they were pushed into getting into order and all that, and that pretty much reinforced her nervousness and fears. For a moment, she may have had been able to appreciate this place for its beauty, but reality decided to kick her in the ass again and she was reminded that this was, in fact, a military school, and she had to do what the people in charge wanted. So, both her and Callandra, after admiring things for a bit, got into line when ordered to do so. After getting their things, of course, and this was the point where, even when she was in line to get off the ship, Kylie was holding her teddy bear close to herself as they would proceed off of the ship to where it was that they were going.

When they got to the buses, Callandra and Kylie got on without a word. Though on the way to wherever, Callandra did chat with a few random passengers. When they stopped, they both looked at the sign, and Callandra simply grinned, because she knew everything that needed to be known and knew that this was obviously the start of the REAL adventure here. Kylie on the other hand whimpered, clearly scared, and unsure if she knew everything that she needed to know. She had her ID, though, but she didn't look particularly happy in it, either. There was also a LOT of security apparent, which made Kylie all the more nervous. Callandra on the other hand didn't think much of it either way, and simply moved on like they were supposed to after a bit.

Then, at the building, Callandra and Kylie went their separate ways (Not that they were together in the first place), and went into each of the individual scanners. Callandra into the center one, and Kylie to the one on the right. Callandra still had a smile on her face, and a look of curiosity, even as she was being scanned. Kylie was just tense, and getting increasingly physically tired and sore from all the nerves and stress, so she wasn't particularly happy going through the scanner.

Callandra overheard a bit of the conversation about the separation of partials and originals, but didn't seem to care much either way about that whole thing. She didn't particularly find it to be that big of a deal. And that wasn't just because she thought making yourself a partial was stupid, because in reality, she didn't really care if you were a partial, even if she thought making yourself one was silly. She just didn't think it was that big of a deal like people were making it out to be around her. She figured they must have their reasons for it, because she didn't really see this place as being discriminatory for some reason. Not without a probably good reason. Even Kylie didn't seem to think much of it, as she was a partial, until people started talking about it later. Even then she didn't really care, since she was kinda more worried about everything else related to this place than being segregated or anything like that.

While a group of people seemed to just start getting in fights and nonsense like that, and seemed to be more focused on pointlessly chatting forever instead of actually taking going through the security how you probably should and not totally get out of line as if everyone thought they were suddenly home free as soon as they got past security, Callandra stayed in order, and so did Kylie. But Kylie more did it out of worry of what would happen if she did get out of line, though she was rather surprised by the behavior of the others who didn't seem to have a care in the world. Of course, because of their reckless behaviors, her, and Callandra both had to endure that whistle. Callandra kinda shrugged it off, just smirking to herself at them getting scolded for their behavior, but Kylie didn't seem to be happy and covered her ears, because it seemed that it rather irritated her. And then, the both of them moved towards the train as ordered, not getting involved in any of their own shenanigans on the way.

Kylie and Callandra ended up in the same compartment (Yulian's) as each other, and Callandra gave him a warm smile as a greeting, saying the simple "Hello" to him, then sitting down directly across from him. Kylie ended up sitting down next to him, but didn't say anything, still too scared, sad, and whatnot to really want to do much other than curl up in a ball and go to sleep. Or something along those lines. She glanced at the other two, but just responded to looking at them by scooting closer to the corner of the compartment, and holding her teddy bear close to her chest, remaining silent for the time being.

From his kneeling position, knelt on the couch looking out of the glass, Yulian didn't really notice as the two girls entered his small cabin, taking seats directly across from him, and right next to him. He grabbed onto the edges of the couch and turned himself around, back into a sitting position. His shirt hung loosely from his effeminate form, the neck of the shirt quite wide, and hanging from his shoulder almost playfully. His hair was long, though only teasing at his shoulders. With two narrow eyes, he regarded the two girls who'd made their way to his cabin, and his mouth creeped into a smile.

"Hello." He responded, his voice soft, but genuinely happy to see someone. While Yulian would much rather prefer to be alone, it was almost relieving that someone else had initiated interaction with him. It would have taken him a while to do it on his own.

"And hello to you as well." He looked to Kylie as she scooted down the couch, ending up in the corner.

"Hi" Kylie replied quietly. She wasn't the total quiet, introverted type, but here she was more so then normal. She was pretty much almost right in between of being an introvert and an extrovert statistically. He would definitely be able to tell that she was scared of something, and it didn't seem to specifically be of him or anything like that. Her eyes were watering, but she didn't actually start crying. Not yet, anyway. You would think that she was still a little kid, since she was huddling with a teddy bear. But that was just how she was.

Since the girl was clearly not going to say much, Callandra spoke up to continue the conversation. She could tell that something was bothering the girl, but she didn't know, or really care what. Other peoples emotional states weren't really important to her. It's not like she herself really ever cried. What was there to cry about? It's not like she got close to people, so she wouldn't cry about that. And the wars she would get into weren't really. Even real ones she doubted she'd get emotional over much. And death was just a part of life, so there was no need to cry or get emotional over that, either. Yes, she may have been cold, but again, she didn't really care. However, she didn't tend to show that cold side of her often, unless there was a good reason to.

"Isn't all of this exciting?" Callandra asked the both of them, asking Kylie more to see what reaction she could get out of the girl, because she was pretty sure the answer was already obvious. "There is so much incredible to see, and we're heading to our new lives. It is so thrilling!" She exclaimed, but while it didn't come off as that to them, her cheeriness was exaggerated for effect. Though she was pretty excited nonetheless.

She thought about Jacelyn for a bit, having not bothered even trying to find her again. They had been separated at some point, pretty much after being dropped out of the plane, and she hadn't bothered trying to find her again. She got what she wanted out of her, so now it was more important to her to go and try and find herself some other "Friends"< and get to know who she was working with. Most she had no opinion on either way (A lot of the NPC's), but there was a fairly large group she wasn't really impressed with. They just rambled on and got sidetracked instead of staying in order, then got in a fight. That wasn't really a good way to start your first day...But hey, if they failed immediately, she didn't care. That gave herless competition, after all.

Anyway, back to Kylie, who responded to Callandra's excitement with a deep frown, saying nothing in reply because she figured that those that actually wanted to be here would probably think she was stupid if she told them her honest opinion. So she didn't say anything at all for now.

Hourai the WolfWell, since everyone wants flashbacks...

Atlannia wrote:
The Burning Sun wrote:Hourai snickered, at both Sozin's predicament and Lilliane's sudden outburst of anger.

Deviate.
Perverti.

Was written in a bold, neat script on Sozin's forehead, with room for one more line.

Hourai shrugged, watching Lilliane kneel over the boy.

"Unfortunately, my German is limited to pretty basic phrases. I'm afraid I never got the chance to stay there long enough to perfect it."

She paused for a second, deep in thought, as she reflected upon the events that had taken place there, almost a year ago...

It was raining again. The sort of dark, heavy rain that gets in your eyes, blinds you, makes it impossible to get anywhere in a hurry. The kind that feels almost like a wall of hail when you run through it.

Hourai was used to it by now, and as she raced through the streets of a nondescript town somewhere in southern Germany, she reflected that perhaps she should be thankful for the rain, as it seemed to be hindering her pursuers far more than her. After a moment's thought, she decided against it. The rain was wet, and after three straight days of it, everything had been infused with a sense of lingering damp. By now, everything that could be soaked had been - with one exception. As she ran, Hourai spared a moment to glance down at the bundle in her arms. Unlike her, it was warm, and dry, and emitted the faint scent of yeast when smelled.

Water splashed, hitting an unfortunate passerby as Hourai skidded to a stop, abruptly turning a corner into a secluded alleyway. Ignoring the shouts of the police behind her, she scrambled up a pile of garbage, shimmied up an old rusty pipe, and hopped through an open window, rolling to a stop on the third and uppermost floor of an abandoned apartment complex. Sighing, she made her way to one of the few dry spots not under a hole in the roof, sat down, and carefully unwrapped the bundle. Inside was a giant loaf of fresh bread, several assorted muffins and pastries, and a bagel or two. Enough for several days, provided she was careful about keeping it away from rodents.

Leaning back against a crumbling support pillar, she took a long, satisfied breath, and began to eat.

Back in the real world, Hourai snapped back into focus, shaking away the last remnants of the sudden flashback. Realizing Lilliane was still waiting for an answer, she smiled, shrugged, and said, "Like I said, my German isn't the best. If you're looking for dirty words, though, try 'Schlampe.' Someone called me that once, and I don't know what it means, but he sounded pretty pissed when he said it."

Violet von Kanin

Violet huffed, sitting back away from Silas. Poking his head back upright with her finger, she whispered to him once more, this time with a hint of real fear in her voice.

"Oh, come on, Silas, that isn't your problem to complain about...it's just...shouldn't we at least meet our new classmates?"

Silas sighed in affirmation towards the girl, and in return, backed off a tad bit. "Yes, you are right....I shouldn't be fearful towards this. I guess it just....feels odd to meet new people, with you being....never mind." He smiled, looking back at her briefly.

"I couldn't tell you where to start though." The snake-ish boy laughed a bit, standing slowly.

"Mmm" said Lilliane, raising a finger to her mouth to think. "That doesn't sound exactly right but I suppose it'll do, I'm sure the gist of the message will make itself evident," With a few more strokes of the marker the third word was up and Lilliane stood up, capping the marker and appraising her work with the eye of an artist.

Deviate.
Perverti.
Schlampe.

"Satisfactory." She said, nodding once before retrieving her belongings and heading for the door. "Well I'm going to find a new cabin, preferably one with a lock if possible. I won't lie and say it's been a pleasure working with you but it's been interesting at least," With that the rabbit eared girl departed, closing the door behind her.

Now to just pretend that never I happened and the whole matter will be concluded. thought Lilliane, walking towards the end of the train. I wonder if I can find an empty cabin? People here seem determined to bother me.

Yulian smiled. "Of course it's exciting." He nodded neutrally, looking neither happy or sad, or even really excited. His skinny form took up quite a small amount of space, leaving much for the two girls who'd ventured into his cabin. "I'm going to be a Submariner, hopefully." He nodded, switching the topic to their preferred topic of study. Ever since he was a child (Which he technically still was), Yulian had been interested in ships, but mostly submarines. His fascination was directed towards the vessels simply because he liked the idea of isolation, and the relative safety of a submarine.

"What are you two studying for?" He asked, looking both of them in the eyes, his mouth shifted again, into a guarded smile.

"I want to be a pilot. Preferably any of those agile planes, not those boring big bombers. I love the agility of planes like the the F-16, or any agile plane along those lines in history. So that is my biggest dream here, to be a part of Aer Vis eventually and such like that" Callandra replied to the boys question, smiling excitedly at the mere thought of it.

Kylie on the other hand shrugged her shoulders. "Something ground related, I guess" She replied quietly. "That's about all I have experience with..." She sighed lightly.

"You don't seem to be very happy to be here" Callandra pointed out to Kylie, deciding to engage or obvious displeasure of being here. Maybe the girl was just super nervous, but this didn't look like just nervousness to her. She was obviously scared, and upset. That wasn't typically how your nerves reacted. Though she did have the benefit of good nerves in this regard, because she didn't get really sad, nervous, or anything like that ever.

"That's because I'm not" Kylie replied with a huff. She wasn't trying to be rude, she was just expressing her irritation with this place. Or, more specifically, her parents for sending her here. She didn't tell them why she was irritated and didn't want to be here, though. If they wanted to know, they could just ask her. Which Callandra didn't immediately do so, seeming a bit surprised by the girls blunt response to her. She wasn't sure what to make of someone being here and not wanting to be here, because as far as she was aware, everyone was here willingly. So why wouldn't the girl be happy to be here? Her curiosity may get the best of her and she may ask that question soon, but she didn't do so immediately.
