Indeed, I was saying that it was a good idea, not trying to re-suggest it.

Hate to burst ya bubble, Dancer ain't that way.
And I thought it was a separate idea?
I can tie it in; simply by having a character belonging to one, but over all Dancer isn't that.

Well, it's entirely possible that my character used to belong to the Syndicate, and they want her back? That could be a sub-plot thing o.o

Ah, you’re here! Excellent!
I suppose you’re a little worried about where you are, why you’re here and what this place is all about, all those little diddies that keep you up at night. I could give you the simplest answer but then your primitive sensibilities are already having a time absorbing your surroundings. But fear not! For I am Q! You’ve heard of me, I’m sure tales of my magnificence have been regaled throughout your quaint civilization.
No?
Well, no matter. Onto why you’re here: yes. You see, at the cusp of what could be considered the end of the universe, you were selected as one of the few individuals that could make a difference. How fortunate, mortal don’t usually get such an honor. And between you and me, you’re much better choices than those know-it-alls on that spider nest they call Deep Space 9.
Oh! You’re familiar with that floating junk of metal, it are you? Good! We’re off to a… well, its a start. Not good, considering the circumstances.
Speaking of which… You see, I, Q, could snap my fingers and make this all go away. This void you’re in, the prevention of the destruction of your universe, the atrocious war that began this perilous journey, but truth be told this is your chance to shine. Yes mon ami, you’re going to venture into events of the past in order to make a difference and recollect the moments in history that culminated into this… tete a tete.
And before you ask, no, I won’t be around until you’ve fully understood each moment.
I suppose we’ll start off with where I’ll be taking you. Each event will thrust you into a new setting in time. Sometimes a few days, a few weeks, months, maybe years. You’ll shoot some monsters and likely be shot in the process but should you die well… I’ll be here to put you back together again.
Just don’t ask me to assemble you perfectly, you’re laughably far from that as it is.
You humans call the events that led to this destruction the Great War. Starfleet and Klingon warriors braving the front lines against an implacable foe whose might is strengthened by their resolve and faith! You know who they are, they almost became a part of your vaunted Federation, those smug ridgenosed bastards and their dangling earrings. You know who I’m talking about don’t you? Why, the Bajorans of course!
Believe you me, they’re no sorry lot to feel empathy for. And before you gap your mouths open, realize that they’ve thrown their lot in with those meddlesome creatures they profess as gods. But, instead of those staunch and boring “Prophet”, they sided with the Pah-Wraiths! Of all the imaginable things! They could have at least picked me! A shrine or two in my name goes far with me as a snail to the nearest grass hole, but still.. I digress.
What’s more galling is that its Kai Weyoun who leads this merry band of bloodthirsty crusaders.
Before I run on into more tangents, I’ll give you a brief rundown if you haven’t surmised by now: the Alliance is crumbling. In fact, it was already crumbling at the height of the Dominion War. Now that that is over with they’ve began a war of attrition against the Bajoran Ascendancy (honestly you people and your self-aggrandizing names). The losses are deplorable, the desperation is in every corner of the alpha quadrant, and you my plucky would-be hero, are going to be at each front!
From the height and end of the Dominion War, to the rise of the nascent Bajoran Ascendancy, the first shot to ring across the alpha quadrant (again), to the events that led us here in this void.
Waste not want not mon ami, we have plenty to cover and not enough time.
