Alright, read this is a soothing voice. I'd do a YouTube except my vocal cords are still shot and I sound like a raspy smurf.

People should think before they post because sometimes what we see on the surface isn't what's transpiring underneath. The things said in IRC yesterday served a purpose, but not the purpose for which they were intended. I believe in seeing the positive in everything. This is my belief after a night of introspection:

You have all grown in leaps and bounds. Your writing has improved ten-fold and your characters have so much depth and warmth now. most of you have transcended the F7 cheapness and have mastered the skills necessary to make a character believable. I'm so very, very, very proud of you for realizing your potential. There are others here that need to learn those things, but this is a family... family helps. It's time for some of you to fledge and soar, and return to help the next generation grow and mature. NS needs more Gios, Brans, Torsies and GTs. Take the things you've mastered... cooperation, analyzing a situation, thinking before replying, working on projects through collaborative efforts, a sense of fair play, ect... and apply them as life lessons. Trust me, those things all touch upon real life. Too many adults these days are too stupid to realize it. You guys will be the smart ones that succeed in life if you just remember some of the stuff you've learned over these last two years.

I don't think ol' Miss Swith has much more she can teach any of you. Many of you have reached my level or surpassed it. Most awesome! My time here is done. It's time to move on. The down side of this is that most of you will need to step up. You can't go running to me in TG anymore, asking me to help you get your goal accomplished. Things like "we want to make the lists" or "we want an IRC" or "we need to do x, y, z" are all good but the time has come where you declare your goals and then do the leg work. You'll need to expand your minds and environment and apply those life lessons... cooperation, summing up the situation, working with the Cers and Mins and Tilts on NS... to the task at hand. There's not a single one of you that can't be glorious if you put your minds to it. Plus, I can't be around forever. I'd need to be immortal, like a vampire fennec or something.

PL serves an awesome purpose. Use it to teach others. When you see someone in F7 or P2TM or II or NS, and you notice they have some skills but are shaky, invite them to apply here. Never, ever hesitate to reach out to someone... don't let them drown. The world is too full of shit and hatred already. People matter. Teens matter. Make a difference in someone's life and they'll make a difference in yours. It's true.

I'm still available via TG, of course, although I'll only respond once or twice a day. I'm giving my Tego account to Cer; TAB is just an extension of PL, and he's always wanted to build one of my witherwards. Anyway, you won't be founderless unless the day comes when he no longer takes interest in our world here.

I agree change is not the most wanted of things, however, it can be at times, the most necessary of things.

Let me tell from personal experience. Back when I joined, i always knew i would do good and that things would change for me. However, second i was in basic, i knew i would miss my family, it was to a point to where i cried at times when no one was around or when they were i kept it to myself. Overtime, and a little help from a guy who took the photo for my CAC who told me a story, i shaped up and got to work. Thpugh would still breakdown a bit every time i got the chance to call mom or dad. Flash forward to now and i still cry every time i have to leave Dayton and head back to Arizona because i know i won't get to see them, bit in the end i knew that this is the choice i made and i made it because i couldn't live with my mom or my dad forever, i needed to better my life so that one day i could have my own family.

*thinks about IRC yesterday. only remembers the idiotic derp wars between Mandi, Mon, Bran, Torsi and myself.* Uhhh...

Anyone ever see the movie, "Nanny McPhee"? "When you need me but do not want me, I will stay. When you want me but no longer need me, then I will go." Not that Swith was ever not wanted, but it goes hand in hand with the idea that every teacher and mentor must eventually step back. Not just in the movies, but in real life too. Teachers, parents, it's part of learning, and part of life.

Swith, you've proven to be a incredibly strong young woman the entirety of the time I've known you, not just in RP'ing but real life as well. I know that you're continuing to use that strength right now in the real world, and now I can't be selfish and beg for it to remain here. You have to put it where you need it, and we're too strong now to piggyback on you anymore. You've inspired me and taught me a lot, not just in writing, but in putting my foot down with others and expecting more from people who can do more (you wouldn't see it on this website, but it has happened). That doesn't mean I'm not going to miss you, though. I'm going to miss viewing my posts, seeing your username in the IC, and getting all excited to see what you put down. I'm going to miss seeing Naomi being all quirky, or Swith all classy, or Minerva all cool and serious. I feel like there's more I wanted to see. But looking at things from a realistic perspective, when things end, we seldom feel like that was all there really was. But they need to end anyway, because all things come to an end.

I wish there was more I could do to assist you personally, but when it comes right down to it, all I can do are the things you've advised us. I don't feel like I can do it. I don't feel like I can grip that torch and properly wave it for others to follow. I don't see a lot in myself. But if you say I can, and that more of us can, then I have to believe so and try. It's always hard to make the first unassisted steps, but we need to make them before we start to run.
