I was sorta disappointed that the real Rasputin was nothing like the one in the movie after looking it up. Still, in my eyes, Rasputin is a bad ass. And is inspiration for my character (protagonist) in the RP (more or less I am playing the Dreamworks version over the real one).

I kinda didn't like how they didn't capture Anastasia's wild side very well, but I can move past it. Also the ending. I get the whole "royals don't do commoners" thing, but given the whole situation, I think they could have afforded to make an exception this time.

They ran away together because they thought the other, uh, rich people I guess, wouldn't like them together, though I think that given she went through all the grief of growing up poor, being rediscovered, defeating a sorcerer, and reuniting with her grandmother, people could have been like, "Okay, fine, whatever. We're just glad to have you back." Of course, that could be me being wishful, and feeling sorry for her grandma (she said she'd come back one day, but still. The lady's been looking for you for like 20 years, I think she wanted more than a day with you).

In a way though, it kind of adds to the mystery theme of the film as well. She disappeared again, but this time of her own free will, and a promise of another return--she continues her own myth, but with a happier heart. Depends on what you value I suppose.

Today's Topic: Rattlesnake Bites

My mother came to me saying she was bitten by a rattlesnake and asked what to do. I said to go to the doctor now and how did she get bit. She answered she needed to change her socks to go to the doctor and that someone had put that rattlesnake there on the ground to attack her. I said that was stupid and to go to the doctor now. She still insists it was a trap, and I said "If I wanted to attack someone with a rattlesnake I would put it in a box and give it to them. Putting a snake on the ground is not a trap, they move to go hunt stuff you know, to live."

I'm not worried at all, it is pretty survivable only 6-10 people die out of 6,000-8,000 bitten each year. I like those odds.

And remember everyone, if you notice a snake, back away slowly and calmly. If you are bitten, remember the snake's description and go to the hospital right away calmly. Every folk remedy does not work and wastes time from going to the hospital.

Can't think of what to do, I'll be back later with something.
