I was wondering about if one of my characters. for whatever reason, ended up with augments. It'd probably be out of necessity or in order to do something very important to them.

Maybe.

huh.

Whoa.

Maybe, but then again, maybe not. The residents of the building are pretty adept at zapping, morphing, regrowing, or illegally-obtaining new limbs.

Could do eyes or have the limbs get cursed or something like that so they can't regrow or graft it.

Give Torii a big red cyborg eye with an adorable cartoonish pupil and eyelids on the screen? It'd make her feel better about having a big cyborg eye.

Katya would have a leg, making that her second time with a prosthetic...

Jasmine? Don't know.

And that is why Fortu's company Eldritch Inc. is always 3rd in rankings since cybernetics are plentiful. I've given up on trying to get people to explore the place and find Fortu hiding in his office deep underground.

I should have Torii drop by and help the raptors after Bran's event, or before Mon's, but soon.

Kwa'a could only safely get a prosthetic/augment if it happened to be quickly and easily removable - even in the case of a curse, she'd still take into account the possibility of regeneration occurring. Hence, it would probably be something like a suction-attached limb or just an exoskeleton, although she could get blades attached to her hair/nails... I think that she'd jump at an opportunity for that last, although might go with retractable. Similarly, something attached to teeth - say, a poison detector, razor edges which would not injure her tongue, or similar - might intrigue her.

Nick I could see getting an eye able to see in full color - and beyond. He might also be interested in some blades.

Rmwtyliin wouldn't get an augment/prosthetic if another option was available, although that may change as she ages. If forced to get something of that sort, she'd likely select the simplest design which still restored full functionality, and likely would select one visually indistinguishable from whichever part she'd lost,
Come to the light side.  We have teamwork, waffles, popcorn, grape juice, and way too much ramen.

Unless one is a genealogist, therapist, geneticist, or FBI agent - who is acting within the scope of their job - to claim that anyone is wrong about their own identity is not merely absurd but also extremely rude.

I smell a philosophy event brewing. What changes the nature of a being? At what point of augmentation does a human/raptor/alien/hybrid become a machine?

Maybe after everyone needs to get augmented due to injuries sustained from whatever invasion you guys cook up later on in the year.

Cer, add Construct Form to my character tab, please, if you ever get any admin crap done at all? :p I'll transfer the other two images to Imgur when Photobucket is done being stupid.

And now... I'm starving.

Has anyone ever given thought to just making a cyborg union? We started with one (Ceril), and then Barox arrived, followed by Wren, Marcus, Jorgan (although he's technically steam powered), Calle, and Septimus. I think we've had a few in-betweens, although I can't recall the characters' names. The Observatory houses everything from Steampunk/Dieselpunk, 40K (true, spoof, borrowed, or misunderstood-but-funny) to anime knockoffs.

Before anyone says anything... D4N1 is an android stuffed into a human body. She was never a cyborg. :p

After? Some of these characters are clones because they've died too often, and other are clones that were foolish enough to to go the Raptors for repairs.

Unless it's Char!Bran. He has an entire chamber of clones set aside for him. He went to the raptors for a bad augmentation to his hand, is also Mer, was a cyborg until he was stuffed into his last cloned body...

And I just realized I may have solved Sep's woes. Go ask Charumati for his body. He's automatically cloned if the player participates more than one day. All he has to do is mumble something in the halls, and the cultists will overhear and assist.

Bran... it's better than being in the misunderstood-but-funny category. :lol2:

Fortu is a Raptor, at a point in the Drone invasions he had been turned into a machine completely. Since then he has augmented himself enough to appear human since he distances himself from the corrupt dinosaurs. Arthur is a Raptor that has corrupted his phenotype with extended transmogrification and substance abuse. Yet he still identifies as Raptor. So I consider whatever the character thinks they are is what they are, with Fortu trying to be human and Arthur still sticking to his old mindset.

According to these definitely-not-fabricated statistics in crayon, for some reason, most of those deaths were caused by butterflies.

I can just see that. You go to Charumati's home, press a button, suddenly a wall opens up and you just see rows, and rows of sleeping naked Bran's in tubes filled with glowing glue. "In case of Bran death"
