Giovenith wrote:"Apparently," said Willow, stepping aside slightly to allow Giovenith to pass with Nick. "I'm not sure how, but he can say things and show pictures in ponies' heads when he touches them. It's a little out of the ordinary, but then again, there's still a lot we don't know about this world. Maybe that's just a common way for animals to communicate here."
Upon Sterling mentioning it, Willow sniffed a little more pointedly in the air, only to cover his snout in disgust, nearly retching. There was, indeed, the scent of burning flesh in the air. Hyoo-muns ate meat? Their common collective build had never really struck him as anything similar to any predators he knew. He had seen Giovenith and others eat non-meat products as well, so that meant that they were omnivores. Not that this was at all their fault, that was just nature, but ugh... the smell and thought of the act of eating another creature's flesh, it was absolutely nightmarish.
"Awful," Willow's speech was slightly muffled from behind his hoof. "Though I think I can ignore it if I don't pay attention. But yeah, Christmas, sounds fun and all. I'm a little disappointed we won't get to watch the pageant play this year, but it should be fun regardless. You're a good story-teller."

You're a good story-teller."The unicorn mimicked his pegasus friend's action, placing his own hoof in front of his snout to block out the smell. It was too bad he hadn't brought a napkin or hoofkerchief with him, as that would have been amazingly useful at blocking out the scent of burning flesh right now. "Yeah, I think I can ignore it too. But we could head to the shore to get away from the stench if you wish. It sounds like Giovenith and that cat is going ashore. We could go with them! It wouldn't stink as badly as this there, at the very least."
The Unicorn then smiled at the compliment Willow gave him at the end. "Thank you, Willow. I hope I am, if I'm going to be telling some of the hyoo-muns one of the stories associated with the founding of Equestria. It is definitely disappointing that we wont be able to see the play this year. I hope they found someone who could play the part of the narr-" Sterling cut himself off as he thought of something, and his eyes widened. He seemed to stop talking and simply think for a moment before beginning to speak abgain slowly.
"Willow..... I just realize that we suddenly disappeared from our home right? We gave no warning or note about where we might have gone.... And my family usually visits me for Hearth's Warming Eve or I visit them..... And I'm not there anymore. Without any note about where I went...... Our families have to be worried sick, and the same with our friends... I can't believe I only just realized that, too...."

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.

"Anyway, if you need me, i'll go back to the clinic and tell the Doctor that the storm has passed and let us all out." She said as she walked off along the catwalk towards the stairs.
"Sapphire, wait!" Wren gauged the distance and vaulted over the rail to land lightly (and unnaturally) on the ground below. "Look, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset you. That wasn't my purpose. I'm so sorry."
She looked close to tears as she stood there. "I didn't mean to hurt you."

"Roger that, i'll be right over." She sighed. She placed the radio in her back pocket. Just then the red lighting turned off as normal LED lighting turned back on and the dome over the clinic and the dome over the factory both came down, showing nice, dry buildings standing tall untouched from the storm. The main garage door to the factory opened up, letting the outside flood into it. Sapphire turned and walked out the door.
About this time, Barox would wake up. He took a deep inhale of air before sitting up. His vision was still blurred, all he was able to see was a glowing figure that looked to be Wren

While waiting for her to grab it, he looked around. He'd been listening to the conversation, and gotten some idea of what was going on. Walking over to Hans, who appeared to be inconsolable, he almost nosed him but noticed that, like Klaus and to a far lesser extent Giovenith, there was something scary about him, a sense of being unable to think straight. On the other hand... In Giovenith, whatever it was hadn't been on the surface. Maybe it could be suppressed? He headed back to Giovenith. <I want to comfort that sad guy (image of Hans) but I get this feeling (watered-down memory of the earlier sensation) around him. I kinda felt something similar from you earlier, though. It was totally not there until you started talking about the help to come back- maybe he and Klaus can push it down?>

There came a knock upon their door, as Thriller's handler would say, and Klaus patiently waited a reply. He hadn't heard their discussion with the exception of a few words such as Allspice, and his mind was on other matters.
He'd also come to tell them that dinner was served and to join in as they wanted.

"Merry Christmas. Yoshi, Bran, a word?" She gestured to a trail leading off the pavilion.
Outside, multicolored Christmas lights illuminated a path that forked into two directions. One led to a large fire pit set up for roasting marshmallows and other things on sticks. The other path led to a small, candlelit grotto had been set aside for the Templars, Yoshi, Lucius and those who identified with their faith. A nativity scene had been painstakingly sculpted from sand under Naomi's careful instruction, and the air carried the exotic scent of frankincense. It was a quiet area perfectly suited for meditation and prayer, where outside noise wouldn’t penetrate.
Minerva led them to the benches in the grotto and sat down on one. "Please, join me. I have some news that perhaps neither of you will want to hear."

Wren felt awful as Sapphire departed. She didn't know if she should chase after her or remain. Surely she'd broken some taboo or gone against a Templar custom? Her ears detected movement and she raised her head towards the platform where Barox was.
"Hello up there," she smiled at him. "Good nap? Sapphire had Dr. Smith turn off the dome. Would you like to go to Christmas dinner with me and the kids?"
Her limited connection had also returned and she listened to a litany of field reports. One in particular rocked her to the core.
