New Aksarben wrote:Jacob blushed again, and coughed. He was obviously embarrassed by something or another. "M-Maybe..... She did kiss me earlier, when there was all the zero gravity going on in the Lobby. I really wasn't expecting it...... Also, I just find her very fun to talk to for some reason, and very interesting..... I really don't know..." He smiled nervously, and picked his book back up to start reading it again.

Albert chuckled, and continued his petting of Ray. He rolled his eyes at his brother's embarrassment, but was obviously reminded of himself and Ray before they had become a couple. "Yes, I believe Yoshi was conscripted. I haven't heard if anything has happened to him though, so I'm assuming he's still alive, and might be returning soon as Jacob was guessing earlier." Albert lied, partially to protect his brother and the relaxed mood that was still around them. HE didn't want to be the one to tell Jacob about Yoshi's death, mainly since he knew he would probably piss Jacob off and make his brother a wreck. He would leave that task to Giovenith, who he thought was much better at telling others bad news, and them believing her.

"Aw...Jacob, that's cute! Maybe you two will make a nice couple together, have some cute little moments together that I can giggle about," Ray giggled as he held his head within his arms. He seemed to enjoy poking fun at Jacob, although he was generally curious if he would have to deal with Dora on a different basis than his mere friend and employee. Then again, would his interactions with her even be changed by a relationship with Jacob? Perhaps it would prove to not be relevant.

Ray shrugged at Albert's revelation, not realizing the true nature of the lie. He assumed that he would be able to meet Yoshi and talk with him a bit more, perhaps even become good friends with him. After all, he seemed like another version of Jacob from his limited sight of him, and he noted that many in the apartment seemed to like the 'kid'. "Well, I'm sure that I'm going to get a good opportunity to talk to him during the trip. Everyone seems to be very fond of him, and I want to find out why."

They reached the Thriller's old bedroom now converted into play room. He unlocked the door and flung it open. "Ladies first."

"Yes. Let it begin." He found a nice spot next to Xanthe to sit down.

"Thank you, my good man," Swith bowed to Thriller and stepped into the room. "And this is where the madness began. You, me and that video game."

Xanthe turned her head and smiled at Lucius. "Nothing is as good as this. Except a BLT. I don't care what anyone says. Bacon makes for a good sandwich fixing."

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.

"Well, I'm sure that I'm going to get a good opportunity to talk to him during the trip. Everyone seems to be very fond of him, and I want to find out why."

Albert sighed a little, now hoping Ray didn't end up going on the trip, seeing as he would realize that Albert had lied after he and Jacob found out that Yoshi was indeed dead. But Albert decided it would be best to just go along with it right now, for Jacob's sake. Albert really didn't want to mess up Jacob's mood. He sighed again, but continued his petting of Ray. "Y-yeah... I'm sure you can get to know him, possibly." Maybe he would get revived by one of the groups in the building before then, so this wouldn't necessarily be a lie.

Jacob continued to blush. "I don't know. I'm not quite sure what she thinks of me.... Really...." He was being truthful, a little. He sometimes had difficulty reading what Dora actually felt about things. "Well, I'm looking forward to this trip now as well. I hope we will get to see Yoshi again. It sucks he was called into war.... I really hope he comes back soon. He was an awesome guy, and had many great friends here, from what I could tell." Jacob smiled at the two others, then turned his head back to his book to resume his reading.

She placed her hand on Thriller's metal arm and peered up at him. "Take good care of him, okay? All his clones."

She eyed the room and toys, the door to the lab, the door to the mech room and then Thriller. "How much time do you have? Enough for a last walk on the beach? As you, I mean. Hey, I like chrome as well as the next girl, but still."

Her stomach actually growl then, just to express its desire for pulled pork on a pretzel roll with a pickle on the side.

"We could totally go green," Wren's eyes widened. "Maybe see about a water reclamation system so we filter what we can and use the rest to keep the grass green outside?"

She breathed deeply. "It's all from scratch. We can add whatever we want."

"Wait!" She rummaged through her robes and pulled out a small device. A few button pushes later and the thing was propped on the old truck's hood.

"Hurry up!" Wren squealed. She gently prodded Barox until he was standing in front of the main entrance doors. The device began to whine and a small red light began to flash. "Picture of the founders," Wren said as she stepped beside him. "The flash'll go off any second now!"

"Er, I wish I could, but this matter is too much to push off for a few minutes. I'm sorry. Don't when I get back I we will have ourselves a nice long walk on the beach." He answered. He made his way over to the mech room and within seconds, he opened the door up.

Lucius laugh. "Well then, we will have to go to the store now won't we." He slowly got himself back up from the ground as he used the tree for support and a tool to get up with.

From out of the blackness their was a sound that had no place in the realm of man, it was a hollow noise that issued only from the most hateful and destructive of creatures and it radiated making the lead bunk vibrate under its strain. It assailed the mind just as much and black specks and white spots danced in front of the eyes of those that heard it. Their was a sudden movement in the lab as the sounds of lurching steps and moving equipment filled the ears of those hidding from it.

Neil grabbed the red phone off the wall of the bunker. "Scarface, move the chicks to the safe room and stay there." he ordered felling that they had released something.

The noise gave the duo a massive headache. They didn't consider the situation dangerous because they were not bleeding yet. It was a general rule of thumb. They remained in the bunker as Gretta disconnected the (inactive) power cables to the tablet. They waited for the power to come back on to the lab since the doors had power locks.

With a slow flicker light returned to the room beyond the bunker. The first flash silhouetted a strange amorphous shape that reared up in a constantly changing form that neither of the raptors had enough time to fully glimpse. Darkness closed in for another few seconds before blinding radiance filled the room revealing nothing had changed, as far as they could tell not a single object had been moved and there was no sign of the creature they had thought they heard and saw.

With a grating sound he opened the steel vent with his telekinesis gesturing for the sisters to talk the ladder down to the bottom. “Yes. It’s in a sewer” he replied after seeing the look on their face “Most of the things we deal with enjoy dark places so this helps us entice them into this realm.”

"Demonic summonings? In a sewer? I don't know..."

Katya was visibly nervous. She didn't like the sound of either of those. She didn't want to get involved, and she was afraid she'd ruin her uniform.

"Sounds cool.", Torii said, much braver than her sister. Now, Katya had no other choice but to follow. She sighed.

The cavernous tunnel that the group descended was dim and completely lightless in every direction creating a sense of uneasy at the prospect of what could dwell beyond. Primordial ran a thick hand over his ring and it began to glow with the same brilliance as a torch creating deeper moving shadows around the passage. “This way” he said as he took a step over a puddle of some noisesome slime that bubbled as the light caught it. The rank stench that filled this place wasn’t of human leaving but smelled just as foul, it was a though every toxic chemical known to man had filtered through here and the stench of chorine and sulfur stung at the nose.

Alright, here it went. She hadn't intentionally meant to leave Jacob for last, but she supposed it was probably reasonable considering his connections to Yoshi. Or maybe the least appropriate. Whatever, no changing it now. Giovenith groaned, feeling very much one of those tall, skinny, old guys in top hats and tuxes that appeared in goth comics to tell the character, 'I have some harrowing news...'. It was not her style. Style was never really one of the most important thing in the world, though. Truth was.

She finally stood in front of the Three Tails' apartment, and didn't bother to allow suspense to tease her with second thoughts or a wait, immediately rapping on the door three time. The mood of the task even changed her knock, which was usually a cheerful, 'knock knock-knock-knock-knock... knock knock!' Eh, didn't seem appropriate.

Jacob immediately jumped up, and headed for the door. He was glad for the excuse to break off the conversation. He walked through the doorway to the foyer, briefly looking around at the Romanesque styles of their apartment, before opening the door. He smiled brightly when the personification noticed who was there. "Oh, Hello Gio!" He said, his tail waving happily behind him at the sight of his friend. "What do you need, Amicus?" He obviously had no idea what Gio was here to talk about.

Albert leaned over to see who was at the door, and he saw Gio. He sighed then, guessing why she was here. But he continued his petting of Ray's head and upper body to keep his boyfriend distracted. He really hoped that Ray didn't get pissed at him when he found out he had lied about what had happened to Yoshi. Especially because Albert did in fact know that Yoshi was dead, but had decided to keep the fact away from Jacob for now to let Gio or someone else tell him.

Primordial stopped briefly to open a large iron flow gate that creaked as he pushed; with it released a noxious tide of chemicals down the passage that swirled around their feet. “It’s a little late for that, this is past the point of no return.” He trudged on his light following a small trail of moment through the dark as they walked and more than once several unidentifiable creatures fled out of the light. “I’m this groups advisor so I will be able to allow you to witness this one ritual. However you may not talk once we enter the chamber, don’t touch ANYTHING, and if something goes wrong I cannot protect you. Understand?”

Giovenith wrote:"Hi Jacob," greeted Giovenith with a sympathetic smile, "Um, can I come in? I have... something to tell you. And it's really, really important."

Jacob nodded, but his tail slowed in its wagging as he noticed Gio's relative somber mood. "..... Did something bad happen? Usually you're happier than you are now.... And not as serious...." He stepped out of the way and gestured for her to come inside, then continued. "They're plenty of seats in the living room, if you want to sit down somewhere....." He continued smiling, but it was mostly that he normally smiled at this point. His mind was wondering what was so serious for Giovenith to have to come speak to him about.

The BranRiech wrote:"Meeting." Bran said as he read over the letter, coming back to sit down. "In a few days time, about Yoshi." He nodded and looked to Yuri. "You know what it's about?"

Rylli shrugged and looked sad, and Tolya waved a tiny hand at Yuri, before going back to burying his face in the goupy baby food.

"Oh, I'll grab'em later then. Now, what is there to do up here?" Natiya asked wanting some suggestions thrown around just in case they had nothing to do.

Yuri shook her head. 'No idea...maybe it's about a funeral or something?" she suggested. She really had no idea. Whatever it was, might not be pleasant.

Jacob looked a bit confused, but he sat down on the same spot he had been earlier. "What is it Gio?" Jacob asked, scratching his chin briefly. "I have not seen you be this serious before.... I believe...." Jacob was getting a bit worried, especialy since Gio was being serious about everything.

Albert continued his petting of Ray. The two were on the other couch of the living room. Albert waved to Gio with his free hand, a weak smile on his face. "Nice to see you Gio." He said simply, showing that he was letting Gio tell Jacob the news by not mentioning anything else related to Yoshi's death.

"Were the scanners on?" Neil asked his lovely partner. Gretta checked the readouts once the power came back on. "Looks like that was fried, along with the extradimensional probe." She answered, as the two exited the bunker and removed the clamps on the tablet.

"Okay, we don't want to release the thing in the house." Gretta said. "So we do it in another facility that can deal with this. ACF, they owe us." Neil suggested. As the two left the tablet in the lab and exited. Nurse-bots entered to clean up the damage and repair the lab's power grid.

They were so focused the Nurse-bots didn't notice that several test animals escaped one of the bio-labs. A snake made it's way through the ventilation system and was headed to the testing area where the tablet was.

Jacob blinked, not quite understanding. "Uh..... Did something happen to Yoshi?" Jacob guessed, a terrified look on his face. He really hoped he was wrong. Really, really hoped. He hoped that Yoshi was fine, or at the most just hurt. He couldn't even imagine that Yoshi would be dead. Especially with the fact that no one in the building had ever really died before.

Albert sighed, and stopped his petting. He guessed Ray might be a bit pissed at him for lying. He realized Ray would be able to guess easily what had happened to Yoshi, unlike his brother. Albert merely hoped that Jacob would be able to get over it eventually, loosing his best friend.

Torii wasn't about to let her sister leave, so she turned around and took her hand tightly, leading her along. "Don't worry!", She spat. " I'll make sure you don't get dirty, I'll spray you down with perfume later, all that. Now, just follow!"

Katya couldn't object...well, she could, but she felt that wouldn't be the best option. With a sigh, they kept following Primordial. Whatever they were going to must be worth it.

Katya half-screamed as the chemicals washed around her feet. Now she would have to buy new shoes, new socks...perhaps a whole new uniform, if the smell set it. When Primordial said something about something going wrong, or they could get hurt, she gulped. This was not good. This was not good at all...

"Understood, sir.", Torii nodded. She didn't mind it all, as she was untouched. She was glad to wear those boots. As for the danger part, she welcomed it a bit. It sounded cool.
