"How is he doing?" Swith asked. "He was collecting interviews last I saw of him. I've been meaning to find him to ask him how the process is going. Then again, he's hard to find. He's usually with Tora's older sister, I believe."

"He's doing fine, I haven't seen him today, but I'm sure he's with Katya. They are a couple, you know." Bran said happily. He wanted to stay away from the fact that he'd been drafted, as it would surely ruin the evening, and the mood.

Yoshi quickly changed the channel and took a plate. He looked visibly shaken. But he was hungry. He smiled at Katya. "It smells wonderful"

"Thank you.", She replied. "I tried my best for you."

She sat at a small chair beside the bed and watched the TV.

Torii approached the Von Eldritch house. "Um...hello? You guys awake, or home?", She asked.

"You're saving your money, I will sacrifice my coinage to get us some nice food." He replied with a grin.

"Ever the gentleman," Xanthe chuckled. "Alright, but I don't want to seem like a freeloader or gold-digger." She gave the cashier the address so they could deliver the stuff.

"They're a sweet couple," Swith replied. "I'm out of touch with the building gossip. Do they plan to marry?"

Yoshi pulled out a pair of chopsticks, still being horrible with forks, and began eating. He moaned with delight. "This is fabulous, what's in it?" he asked.

She nibbled at her meal.

yoshi didn't eat much, then again, he hardly ever did. He finished rather quickly and washed his bowl, dried it, and put it away.

Katya did the same. Afterwards, she drank a glass of water, then went to brush her teeth. She came out of the bathroom and sat down at the bedside.

Torii was sad. She figured that nobody was home, or awake, and that she had nobody to play with. She turned around and started to slowly walk back to the apartment.

Torii was sad. She figured that nobody was home, or awake, and that she had nobody to play with. She turned around and started to slowly walk back to the apartment.

Yoshi had his violin case in his lap. "R-ready to go?"

"Wine is always good, thanks, Ray." Kei said and smiled. "So, tell me about yourself, what makes you . . . You?"

Ray's mouth changed into a somewhat quizzical state, his head tilting sideways in some confusion. "What do you mean by that?...Anything specific or something?"

[Swith Witherward]

"It'd be cute if they did, I agree that they are a great couple." Bran commented. "Like us, right?" Rylli batted an eyelash at her husband, grinning.

"Yeah, like us." Bran said sarcastically, and then he broke down into laughter.

"Oh, you're just an old married couple now," Swith teased. "It's funny to think back to the very beginning when we were all single. I remember when you first arrived, Rylli. You were in the communal dining room reading a newspaper and sipping on some chicken soup. Naomi, Bran and I had just returned from an adventure of some sort, and Bran spotted you across the room. He was so shy. And the first thing you did was mention that his hair had gotten long but you liked it."

Xanthe chuckled. "Okay, today you're buying. But tomorrow I get to treat us to something. Haven't figured out what, yet, but I'll think of something nice."

[The BranRiech]

"Well back when we were both in the military, he had a buzz, kept complaining of hat hair or something." Rylli rolled her eyes humorously. "I do like his hair long though, it adds something, I don't know what though." She nodded thoughtfully.

"Yeah, I mean, I had to get it all chopped off."Bran said.

"And that's not how I arrived, actually." Rylli blushed, as the real story was somewhat more interesting.

[Giovenith]

"Really?! That's amazing!" exclaimed Giovenith. "Congratulations! I mean, wow, from going to war to learning, what a trade off! I bet your positivity totally influenced the Flow or something!" She patted his arm. "Three cheers! Yippe! Yippe! Yippe!"

"What is the Flow?" Jacob questioned, not familiar with the term. "And I am very happy! What we already know about the species on the planet is very interesting, especially since they are so varied and strange looking. We even know of a species that look like centaurs! More or less.... I love to learn new things, and especially about the wider universe! And finding so many different forms intelligent life so far away from Terra is amazing!"

"I like learning new things too! All the time! And yeah, it's super neat, though I got to say that with the size of this universe, I guess it's really only a matter of time till you find something," she mused aloud. "And you get free reign on how to learn about them too! On Earth, you have a set of how to learn and research, but it's a whole new world now... no pun intended."

OOC: Sorry, my internet seems to love flipping it's top around 11:45.

"Well assuming you consider part of death a dark force, then I could summon that but that is a pain in its own. Plus I am instructed to help save the world from other worldly or more specifically, things that either don't have souls, which would be the Drone Empire, or supernatural creatures that want to kill/enslave all life, that would be forces like hell and maybe leaders or your group... Anyway, a nice round table sounds fancily nice."

"How about this one?" Xanthe pointed out a simple wicker thing with a glass top. "And you haven't brought your work home, so all's good.

"I didn't say 'knock knock'," the voice hissed. "But if you insist... knock knock. Now then, you're urgently needed back on Earth. Luce's looking for you." Although Will spoke from the shadow, his tone was so low that he couldn't be heard by Ozzall.

Without so much as a "please" or "may I?" a strong hand reached out from the shadow and clasped onto Dora's wrist. In the blink of an eye, she was yanked downward into her own shadow which vanished the moment she did.

A small note popped into existence and fluttered onto Ozzall's head.

The journey back to Earth was... freakish. Will was a Brit who happened to love science fiction. As such, he contrived the illusion of a Tardis to travel in as well as some traveling music. It went swimmingly until they were nearly struck by the names of two actors and then the gigantic, spinning DOCTOR WHO placard nearly decapitated them, but within 40 seconds the police box churned into existence on the lawn right behind Misaki (her shadow) and the door popped open.

"Well 'ello! Someone looking for a bird named Dora?" Will asked as he gently pushed the P.I. out the door.

"I'd love to," Swith said to Bran. Let me leave a note for Thriller and tell Chi I'm going out."

She hastily scrawled said note...

Dearest Love,
Gone downstairs for dinner with Bran and Fam.
The children are asleep and the dogs have been walked and fed.
See you in a little bit.

She taped the note to their door and followed Bran down the stairs.

A coppery eyebrow went up. "You sure know how to show a girl a good time," Dora observed after the ride, patting herself down a bit.

"Right over here!" Chrys cheered, waving a hand and coming over all eager-beaver-ish. "Can I go for a spin?"

Luce coughed. "While our more excitable Sister is hopping up and down, Dora, she said to tell you she ran into some Nazis. Yoshi was quite flustered, and she said she would look into it. I think she already called your boss about the matter."

Dora checked her phone, which, now that she was back groundside, did indeed have a missed call from Ray. She stepped away from the others and hit Redial. Meanwhile, Chrys literally hopped over to Will and slung an arm over his shoulder.

"Drink sometime?"

Xanthe chuckled. "Okay, today you're buying. But tomorrow I get to treat us to something. Haven't figured out what, yet, but I'll think of something nice."

"Well whatever you do it doesn't have to be fancy or anything. Well it can if you want it to be, I am just suggesting.. Say, speaking of which, where shall we eat tonight?"

"Just a general description is all, like your story of sorts." Kei asked of him as she sipped her wine.

"What is the Flow?" Jacob questioned, not familiar with the term. "And I am very happy! What we already know about the species on the planet is very interesting, especially since they are so varied and strange looking. We even know of a species that look like centaurs! More or less.... I love to learn new things, and especially about the wider universe! And finding so many different forms intelligent life so far away from Terra is amazing!"

"That is true." Jacob agreed with a nod. He really wanted to know more about the species, but he knew that they couldn't send him to a potentially hostile world like that, so he had to settle for just hearing what they learn about. "I am truly glad we will not be going to war.... It always puts a horrible taste in my mouth, and I feel weaker until it is over...." He said, with a sigh. "Well, what were you and Sig doing before we interrupted you?

Albert was waiting impatiently in an elevator, waiting for it to reach the third floor where his apartment was on. He was glad to be back, but was even happier that he could be with his Puppy again. He hoped that Ray hadn't been too lonely while he had been gone, and gotten out to do things. Once the elevator opened up, Albert rushed down the hall towards his apartment, his tail waving behind him happily and his ears standing up high on his head, showing how happy and anxious he was to see Ray again.

She took another bite of her sandwich to prevent herself from saying anything else that would possibly be unsuitable for a baby's tender ears. "Anyway," she said after she swallowed that mouthful, "We should do a couple's night sometime. Invite Katya and Yoshi, and Neil and Gretta, and whoever else is paired up. Spend the evening at a restaurant just socializing."

"Everyone seems to go to Chaos," Xanthe suggested. "Are there more restaurants in this town or is that the favorite "in" spot?"

[Urran]

Yoshi smiled and stood up. He held out his hand for Katya to take. He loved playing his violin, especially with her.

"How about Chaos? It seems to be a place where everybody knows, uh...well...something," Chrys finished lamely.

"Yes, why do you ask?" Luce wondered.

[Erucia]

"Well...I'm 27, and I was born in Wolf City...", Ray said as he poured himself a glass of wine and began to go through his memories. "I'm not from this universe, actually: I came here using some portal-using technology. I was a police officer for six years, and I joined the Special Projects Research Administration about a year ago to work for the federal government. I'm here because my country discovered a portal located in the Pacific Ocean that allows use to access this world, so we (the Democratic Union) set up an embassy here. This is all still secret to our general public, so we can spin and weave together the story first."
