Misaki moved away from the lovers to give them space. Her mind was still heavy with the thought of the two beyond the wall. She passed by the pair and cut through the garden only to catch a fleeting glimpse of Minerva as the cultist leader hurried down the street.

The pair, who had continued on past Torii, stopped their furious signing again as Misaki came into view.

Torii looked away from Gio's door and waved to Chrys and Luce. "Um, hello. Do you guys know if Gio is here?"

As they passed, she slowly stopped talking. "Um...."

She looked back and Gio's door and sighed. "I guess I'll see the raptors alone...."
.......

Katya smoked and hugged Yoshi quickly.

He was about to say more, but his attention was taken when he heard some voices that he recognized. The voices continued getting louder, as three people turned a corner onto the street of the apartment, and walking closer to the large Viking and the small godling. Sig smiled a bit, and gestured over towards the group to make sure that Gio noticed them.

The three that were walking closer were apartment residents who had not been seen in a few weeks; They were the twin personifications, Jacob and Albert, along with the prince of their nation. The Prince was lagging behind the two, who were grinning, and heading for the building happy to be back. After being gone for two weeks, they missed the friends they had made and Albert was more than a little anxious to reunite with Ray. Octavian looked a bit less enthusiastic, walking much slower than the two brothers and looking around absentmindedly. Jacob and Albert were chatting in Latin as they walked with Octavian occasionally chiming in. They had yet to notice Gio and Sig, despite walking in their direction.

Fortu got off the plane, he looked tired and disheveled from his trip to England. He nervously clutched a battered suitcase in his arms. He didn't get a taxi, instead he walked for the woods. After finding a good spot he began to dig with his hands a shallow hole. He opened the case, looking upon the strange glow of the contents, he remembered back to the mission and how it went wrong.

London, United Kingdom, 1 Week Ago

"Security systems disabled." Fortu confirmed to Nevvie via radio. He sat at his workstation in the back of the white van. He was parked outside the museum, monitoring the activities of his friends. He saw on one monitor Nevvie sneaking past armed guards. She moved backstage in the Red Zone as Arthur was stalling the Director at the party. Professor Kessler sat in the driver's seat of the van. "What is taking so long. We need to get it to Mr. Kilroy at CERN as soon as possible." he said. "They'll be done soon enough." Fortu assured his colleague.

Gunshots rang in his ear, Nevvie had slipped up and was spotted. Fortu made sure the alarms didn't go off and the police were in the dark. A sound of class smashing was heard as Nevvie snagged the artifact and tried climbing up the walls. Fortu looked at what Arthur was doing, the people at the party panicked from the sound of gunshots and Arthur was trying to calm them down. Fortu did his best to block the calls. Nevvie was off the cameras, but the falling glass suggested she got out via the skylights.

A thumping was heard on the door of the van. Fortu opened it to find Nevvie clad in black and pulling off her ski mask, then throwing aside her wig and latex mask into the back of the van. "Drive! I got it!" she said and climbed in. After closing the door she left a bloody handprint on the handle. "What happened?" Fortu asked as he took her black backpack that held the objective. "Stepped on a bag of potato chips...ergh!" Nevvie replied and looked down at the shard of glass in her gut. "I'll be fine, just drive." she added and pulled it out.

The van was heading for the airport, when the three agents heard a siren from behind. A traffic cop wanted them to pull over, one of their break lights were busted.

Fortu closed the case and tossed it in the hole. He pushed the mound of dirt on top of it with his hands. Determined not to let the other Raptors have it. If they got their claws on it, they would win. This would be the last place they would look for it, a random spot in the woods. Satisfied, he returned to the apartment to take a shower to wash off the dirt. He felt he was forgetting something, then it hit him, he still had to present his creations to the city and get his medical company off the ground.

Tipper's just addressed Tipper. Preferably mortals would address me with 'Lord' as a prefix, but I doubt your placement would be low as the mortal men on the streets. Especially such a young, weak mankind that lacks psyker mutations." Volturius commented with obvious disgust before he took another chug of the whiskey, thankfully refilled.

"A game?" Volturius inquired as he shifted in his seat, staring at Neil with unblinking orbs of glowing red light.

"Not game, as in trivial challenges for bragging rights. Game, as in beings to be hunted." Neil corrected Volturius. "We may be mortal, but we are the most superior mortals in history. Death is just a temporary problem, plenty of ways to get around it." He added with a grin as he opened the door to the hall. "Shall we begin the tour?" Gretta asked the visitors.

Tipper wisely held her tongue. Her opinion of who the most superior mortals in history were would have insulted the raptors and pissed off her lover. She could only assume that the raptors meant superior intelligence whereas Volturius might mean superior physiology... Astartes themselves, perhaps. But there wasn't any denying that Astartes were superior to all Mankind. That was their purpose and their privilege. To Tipper, the most superior mortals were the Old Ones. They were nearly immortal, and reptilian, but by far nothing was as intelligent or powerful. Except gods.

"Would you mind if I rested here?" she asked Gretta. "I'm feeling a bit weakened." She rested her hand over her baby bump and offered a polite smile.

Good! Playing is always fun. Like this!

He pulled out a long, tapered stick and held it out at an angle away from her head, then sprayed it with something that smelled strongly. A few seconds later, it burst into bright metallic pink flame, and he began air-writing with it, much like he signed.
