"Oh, well then, come on in. I'm Sapphire, by the way." She opened the door wider for Tieria.

Volturius was pleased with the outcome. A new light set of armor was inbound, he'd have a servo skull to entertain and watch his future child, and finally Tipper would finally not need his constant aid in order to safely move about. The only thought that drifted through his mind at this point was a question about the spawn's gender. Well, that would be lying. His constant Slaaneshi-spawned cravings remained, and Tipper wasn't helping with her Psyker link to his mind.

"All seems good. Nice light armor, a servoskull to monitor the future child, and you'll be able to move by yourself when we pick up that sonar device from the insect. Out of curiosity, at what time will we know the gender? I'm not familiar with human growth- if that is, he or she develops at a normal rate."

Tipper smiled at the thought of being able to "see" in some fashion. She tipped her head at Volturius' question. "I don't know, really. Technology seems more... advanced? Ogoti could probably tell us the exact moment of the baby's arrival, and its gender and even what it'll look at by the time it's 40." She chuckled at the idea.

"Do you want to fly ahead? I'll have the cab bring me to the shop, but I don't know the name or address."

"I could easily get you one of these things. You'll need the proper training to do that however-" Ozzall paused and pointed down at the forest, signaling that he was speaking of the run through the forest. "As even with it, you're not Corellian."

That earned him an unimpressed look. "And just what is that supposed to mean?"

"I'm Corellian. Even a Clone, I've still got the blood, and supernatural or not, you'll need something better than crazy skills to keep up with trees that you can't physically react to in time. You see, it's a bit of a galactic joke from my home galaxy. Corellians are naturally lucky, to a stupid degree that is blatantly obvious to everyone. And it's not force sensitivity- my midi-chlorian count's slightly above average, but nothing to manifest precognition. So it's not spawned by the force, it's just we're naturally lucky. Ozzall then patted the lower right flank of his torso, noting the location of the scar received from an intense burn.

"Here," Swith said, stepping up to a valve. She ran her fingers over it, feeling the texture and sensing the composition. She began the task of reversing the corrosion inside, carefully restoring molecules that had been altered by time. She quickly moved to the other side and began the process again on that valve.

"Just... don't tell Thriller," she said to Samael. "If he knew I could fix stuff like that, he'd give up on his honey-do list and spend all his time in the mech room." She winked at Samael and then took her position in front of the doors again, another lethal sphere at the ready.

"Eh, gov, I'm not too happy about holding yer hand either," Ankou's cultist grinned.

Minerva waited until the locusts were gone and then signaled her men to bring people back into Time.

Whispers traveled the ethereal tethers between the collective consciousness. "Oh, they found gates," Blythe said to Lucius while waiting for Klaus' handler to detonate his atomic kitties.

--

Xanthe drew down and to the side, her bow ready.

Swith remained firm. She almost hoped they'd hit her with the combined weapons... she'd draw the spiritual blast into herself and thank them later for the recharge. Chaos was chaos, the fluid thing that scintillated between Creation and Destruction. It came in handy when behaving kindly and re-knitting the fabric of the universe for Elhomin and other Creation Greater Beings, but it also meant that she could tap into the wells of Destruction, absorbing everything as she caused the universe to unravel and vanish into nothingness. It was fun to be Swith.

So she stood there, a short little housewife with short dark hair that had begun to curl from summer humidity back home, and in her favorite pair of olive drab chinos and a white tank top she'd found in a shop on Gliese. Her tennis shoes, a bit dirty from walking through the catacombs, were planted firmly upon the floor. Her hand still held the deadly sphere and the plumes licked up her arm and shoulder. She was expecting either a prideful demon and his hoards... or an empty room. She crinkled her nose as the doors opened, and her head tilted to the side giving her a look of innocent curiosity.

--

And still, whispers traveled the ethereal tethers between the collective consciousness. "Well, let's double back then and look at that wall," Minerva said to Ankou and Kei. "Samael's group seems to have found gates, perhaps."

"Your ties to my daughter...s," Mrs Dimitrov amended at the last minute, in a snippy tone.

***

"That's disappointing," Dora said. "But you don't need to be Corellian to be lucky. So what was this tank you survived - were you in it, or being attacked by it?"

Chrys nodded and led Levi and Dr Smith up to the door. She hammered on it a couple of times, and Howard the butler opened it to usher the trio inside.

He sounded a bit agitated, but none-the-less continued on with leading the group. After a bit of a walk back to the wall, Ankou stood there. He picked up a rock and threw it. Sure enough it was an illusive mirror.

He did as commanded and looked around the room. He could have sworn that he sensed mechs nearby.

"Tea, coffee, milk, water, what?" She asked as she poured herself a cup of tea.

The BranRiech wrote:"Huh? I'm good, ma'am. Did you ask me something earlier?" Bran questioned the woman. He was still trying to keep respectful, but he didn't much like his friend's mother.

"Your ties to my daughter...s," Mrs Dimitrov amended at the last minute, in a snippy tone.

Once inside Levi let go of Smith and turned back into his robotic self. "Ahh, singularity, at it's finest."

"Oh bullshit, singularity is a f*cking gimmick and everyone knows it!" Smith remarked.

"Oh, I'm just a friend of theirs is all, but . . . I do see Torii as a daughter to me, I mean, if I had another daughter, she's how I would want her. I have an adopted daughter." Bran said awkwardly, having never really wanted to disclose that to many people.

Germanic Templars wrote:"Right, well anyway, lets get running back now I can hear them dogs coming." ANd sure enough, through the foggy patch up ahead, fire and red eyes matched with barking came running at them.

The atomic kitties hissed in unison and their playful antics stopped. The soft fur on their bodies stood on end as they became angry puffballs. They wheeled towards the oncoming barking. Thousands of weensie kitties on a mission from god bolted forward and into the fray.

Death is cheap. Death is cruel. In this case, it was cheap, cruel and incredibly cute. The kittens in the very front raced past the attackers in the lead and bolted between legs. Others swarmed upwards to run along the walls and ceiling. They soon engulfed the demonic beasts. They didn't seem to mind if they were snatched up in savage jaws or torn apart. They simply kept going.

Klaus lit a match and stroked the back of the nearest kitten with it before running back towards Lucius. The heat rippled through the kitties like a flame set to mercury thiocyanide only the chain reaction occurred much more quickly. Fibers exploded out of the atomic kitties' backs and engulfed the swarm in a massive and quick explosion of fur. The tentacle-like strands filled the tunnel completely and snared legs, arms, heads, bodies and tails before coiling inward like a net gathering fish. The pulsating mass of mutated kitties shuddered.

"Now is the time to be ducking, ja?" Klaus warned. He squatted down and tucked his chin towards his chest and covered his head with his arms.

The mass shuddered again and with a final, loud MEOW! the entire thing exploded like an inward-facing shaped charge. It obliterated everything inside with a release of spiritual energy powerful enough to make Elohim himself stand up and clap had he been there.

"Chaos. We're not just a breakfast snack," Klaus said as he regained his feet.

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.

Maybe it was normally-buried inner cynic, but something about the way Mrs. Dimitrov asked this drove suspicion into Giovenith, making her tense a bit.
