Swith Witherward wrote:"Majorly," she laughed. "It wouldn't have changed them being married. It would just mean that the family didn't approve."

She looked over to Luce. "You lost your glasses? Would you like a new pair?" She hastily opened her coin purse and began to rifle through it. "We can change the glass to match your prescription, and it'll tide you over until we get back to Earth so you can get a new pair, if you'd like?"

"I'd appreciate that, sure," Luce said, and smiled. "Red tape - the bane of us all." He took another chug of champagne.

"That's the only plus to not having a family anymore, I don't need their approval for anything. My mother never would have approved of Amaryllis, trust me, she wouldn't." Bran chuckled again. "Same idea really, different families."

Albert and Jacob both attended the ceremony. They wore their normal clothing, mainly because they still didn't have anything else with them. Jacob was wearing his hoodie and Jeans. Albert was wearing his formal Aksarben military outfit, which he had saved from the destruction of the building. The two sat next to each other, which might cause some confusion due to them looking alike despite clothing and eye-color. They remained politely quiet during the proceedings, not wanting to be rude. Albert looked a little bored, though. After it was over, Albert looked over at his brother and said in Latin, "Vos vere postulo impetro delicatus vestimenta."

Jacob rolled his eyes and responded, "Possum delicatus vestimenta nobis post revertar in terram."

"Quidquid discis, tibi verisimile non vult."

"Utique. Eos non vere opus?" Jacob replied with a grin.

Albert sighed at looked at the food being placed at all the tables. "At least the food looks nice..... But how are we supposed to eat without utensils?" He shrugged, then took a sip of his wine.

"You really need to get nicer clothes."
"I can get nice clothes after we return to the Earth."
"Whatever, you likely won't."
"Of course. I don't really need them right?"

"Well, Swith approves of Rylli," Naomi reassured Bran. "She's a very sweet girl."

She found a pair of glasses and pulled them from the tiny purse. They were somewhat trendy with clean lines and a wire frame. She held them up for Luce and Bran to see, and she shrugged. "This'll do?"

"I know she does." Bran stated. "And hell, if my parents were still alive, I would've gave them a big "Screw off" and still go with my Rylli." He said contently as he'd suddenly forgotten about gifts yet again.

"W-We don't need to bring gifts, right? God, I feel so horrible now."

Minerva knelt between the two reached out to ladle some rice onto her plate. "It's an odd custom found in some eastern countries on Earth. You see, Chaos is actually worshiped in earlier timelines. Many of the Hindi people embrace it as their religion rather than the mainstream one found in India. The gods' names are the names the Hindu have given them, and their attire reflects their ties to that people whenever they are on Earth."

She used her fingertips to lift rice to her mouth. "Communal eating this way is very much a part of that culture. That's why meats are on sticks, or are bite sized. You won't find any American or European fare here. Actually, the only reason there's meat is because the gods themselves aren't vegetarian."

Naomi shook her head at Bran. "Nope, no gifts. Not to Thriller and Swith. You can light a paper lantern and set it in the water. Your heart's joy is set free on the water to shine as a beacon for all to see. That's how you honor the couple.

"Oh, good then. I think Rylli might have something for them, but I could tell her not to."

Bran de-pinned one of his few medals. It had orange ribbons and a small depiction of a heroic-looking soldier holding a wrench as well as a Soviet banner, behind him, a flight of MiG-21's made a passby.

"Order of the Branriech mechanincs" was inscribed in Cyrillic. On the back of said medal, "Branson Nikanor + Amaryllis Volkova" was carved into the back with a small knife.

Bran smiled and grabbed one of the lanterns, pinning the medal to that instead for its final voyage.

The Von Eldritch Family ate quietly...well except for the chicks who stuffed their faces and Arthur who was still a bit drugged. Neil and NVE were slightly upset that they couldn't kill Thriller off and would probably have to sell the overly elaborate death trap they built. Gretta, Nevvie, and fortu were happy for their friend Swith. As for Arthur, he swatted at imaginary bats that plagued the place.

Without the approval or dissaproval of his friends, Bran let the small lantern set sail after lighting the candle with his lighter, a simple flint/steel setup much in the same way one would light a Bunsen burner.

Ths small thing sailed off only to list heavily thanks to the added weight of the medal. It didn't sink though, and only barely stayed afloat.

Dani popped in from nowhere, again, rather than bringing a whole procession of trumpets and drums. He said he'd be late, which was quite alright. As humans said, "better late than never" - not that it made it any more alright to be late unless it was unavoidable. She didn't know what he was doing, but it better have been just shy of a political catastrophe for him to be late.

She searched around for a seat to take at a table. She spotted an open one, perfect for Darius. This time, Darius would be served, but she wondered if he might bring his own food. It would annoy her if he did, though he usually had his wits about him, he probably knew not to..
